| 1 | A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. | 3 | A hidden fault prediction model based on the belief rule base with power set and considering attribute reliability显示文摘Hidden faults are important characteristics of complex systems that cannot be observed directly.The hidden behavior of a system, such as the health state and safety level, has a direct correlation with these hidden faults. After the predicted hidden behavior reaches a fault boundary, certain measures must be taken to avoid fault occurrences. Thus, hidden faults can be predicted by the hidden behavior of a system.The belief rule base(BRB) has been used to predict hidden behaviors. However, two problems remain to be solved in engineering practice. First, when the observed information is absent, ignorance may exist in the output. If only global ignorance is considered, it may be unreasonable in certain cases, which can influence the prediction model. Second, the effects of disturbance factors such as noise and sensor quality may cause the reliability of the gathered information to decline, which indirectly leads to unreliability of the hidden behavior. Thus, to address the global ignorance and unreliable hidden behavior, a new hidden BRB model with a power set and considering attribute reliability(PHBRB-r) is proposed for hidden fault prediction. In the PHBRB-r model, the effects of disturbance factors on hidden behavior are considered using attribute reliability, and the discernment frame is a power set. | 4 | Dissecting human embryonic skeletal stem cell ontogeny by single-cell transcriptomic and functional analyses显示文摘Human skeletal stem cells(SSCs)have been discovered in fetal and adult long bones.However,the spatiotemporal ontogeny of human embryonic SSCs during early skeletogenesis remains elusive.Here we map the transcriptional landscape of human limb buds and embryonic long bones at single-cell resolution to address this fundamental question.We found remarkable heterogeneity within human limb bud mesenchyme and epithelium,and aligned them along the proximal-distal and anterior-posterior axes using known marker genes.Osteo-chondrogenic progenitors first appeared in the core limb bud mesenchyme,which give rise to multiple populations of stem/progenitor cells in embryonic long bones undergoing endochondral ossification.Importantly,a perichondrial embryonic skeletal stem/progenitor cell(eSSPC)subset was identified,which could self-renew and generate the osteochondral lineage cells,but not adipocytes or hematopoietic stroma.eSSPCs are marked by the adhesion molecule CADM1 and highly enriched with FOXP1/2 transcriptional network.Interestingly,neural crest-derived cells with similar phenotypic markers and transcriptional networks were also found in the sagittal suture of human embryonic calvaria.Taken together,this study revealed the cellular heterogeneity and lineage hierarchy during human embryonic skeletogenesis,and identified distinct skeletal stem/progenitor cells that orchestrate endochondral and intramembranous ossification. | Jian He Jing Yan Jianfang Wang Liangyu Zhao Qian Xin Yang Zeng Yuxi Sun Han Zhang Zhijie Bai Zongcheng Li Yanli Ni Yandong Gong Yunqiao Li Han He Zhilei Bian Yu Lan Chunyu Ma Lihong Bian Heng Zhu Bing Liu Rui Yue | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,7: | 5 |
| 5 | Cognitive Emotion Model for Eldercare Robot in Smart Home显示文摘Based on the smart home and facial expression recognition, this paper presents a cognitive emotional model for eldercare robot. By combining with Gabor filter, Local Binary Pattern algorithm(LBP) and k-Nearest Neighbor algorithm(KNN) are facial emotional features extracted and recognized. Meanwhile, facial emotional features put influence on robot's emotion state, which is described in AVS emotion space. Then the optimization of smart home environment on the cognitive emotional model is specially analyzed using simulated annealing algorithm(SA). Finally, transition probability from any emotional state to a state of basic emotions is obtained based on the cognitive reappraisal strategy and Euclidean distance. | 6 | A Monte Carlo Neural Fictitious Self-Play approach to approximate Nash Equilibrium in imperfect-information dynamic games显示文摘Solving the optimization problem to approach a Nash Equilibrium point plays an important role in imperfect information games,e.g.,StarCraft and poker.Neural Fictitious Self-Play(NFSP)is an effective algorithm that learns approximate Nash Equilibrium of imperfect-information games from purely self-play without prior domain knowledge.However,it needs to train a neural network in an off-policy manner to approximate the action values.For games with large search spaces,the training may suffer from unnecessary exploration and sometimes fails to converge.In this paper,we propose a new Neural Fictitious Self-Play algorithm that combines Monte Carlo tree search with NFSP,called MC-NFSP,to improve the performance in real-time zero-sum imperfect-information games.With experiments and empirical analysis,we demonstrate that the proposed MC-NFSP algorithm can approximate Nash Equilibrium in games with large-scale search depth while the NFSP can not.Furthermore,we develop an Asynchronous Neural Fictitious Self-Play framework(ANFSP).It uses asynchronous and parallel architecture to collect game experience and improve both the training efficiency and policy quality.The experiments with th e games with hidden state information(Texas Hold^m),and the FPS(firstperson shooter)games demonstrate effectiveness of our algorithms. | Li ZHANG Yuxuan CHEN Wei WANG Ziliang HAN Shijian Li Zhijie PAN Gang PAN | 2021 | Frontiers of Computer Science2021,15,5: | 3 |

| 9 | An Analysis and Proof on Self-Similarity Property of Flash P2P Internet Video Traffic显示文摘In order to study the amount of bandwidth resource loss caused by flash P2 P technique, its influence on network load and its maintenance cost, the characteristic of Internet traffic of flash P2 P is studied. On the basis of analysis of features of Real time media flow protocol(RTMFP), the traffic of flash P2 P can be identified from the Internet traffic. By extraction and analysis of the traffic of the three largest online video content providers in China(Youku, Iqyi and Sohu Video) and the calculation of probability distribution of the traffic, it is found that the transmission time of flash P2 P traffic and the transmission time interval obeys the heavy-tailed distribution. This accounts for the self-similarity of the flash P2 P traffic. To better explain the phenomenon, the long-range dependent model is established based on the current traffic. | 12 | Seasonal Responses of Net Primary Productivity of Vegetation to Phenological Dynamics in the Loess Plateau, China显示文摘With global warming, the great changes in the patterns of plant growth have occurred. The conditions in early spring and late autumn have changed the process of vegetation photosynthesis, which are expected to have a significant impact on net primary productivity(NPP) and affect the global carbon cycle. Currently, the seasonal response characteristics of NPP to phenological changes in dryland ecosystems are still not well defined. This article calibrated and analyzed the normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)time series of Advanced Very-High-Resolution Radiometer(AVHRR) data from 1982 to 2015 in the Loess Plateau, China. The spatial and temporal distributions of vegetation phenology and NPP in the Loess Plateau under semihumid and semiarid conditions were investigated. The seasonal variation in the NPP response to vegetation phenology under the climate change was also analyzed. | 13 | Automatic Quality Inspection of Bakery Products Based on Shape and Color Information显示文摘An automatic intelligent system for the colour and texture inspection of bakery products is proposed.In this system,advance classification technique featuring Support Vector Machine and biologically inspired HMAX based shape descriptor integrated with biologically plausible RGB Opponent-Colour-Channel Descriptor is used to classify bakery products to their respective classes based on the shape and based on their colour referring to different baking durations. The results of this paper are compared with other methods for the automatic bakery products inspection. It is discovered that biologically inspired computer vision models performs accurately and efficiently as compared to the computer vision models which are not biologically plausible,in the bakery products quality inspection. It is also discovered that the One Versus One SVM and Directed Acyclic Graph SVM acquired the maximum accurate classification rate. The proposed method acquired classification accuracy of 95% and 100% for the biscuit shape and biscuit colour recognition,respectively. The proposed method is also consistently stable and invariant. | 16 | Traveling chimera states in locally coupled memristive Hindmarsh-Rose neuronal networks and circuit simulation显示文摘Chimera states have been found in many physiology systems as well as nervous systems and may relate to neural information processing. The present work investigates the traveling chimera states in memristive neuronal networks of locally coupled Hindmarsh-Rose neurons, with both excitation and inhibition considered. Various traveling chimera patterns and firing modes are found to exist in the networks. Particularly, for excitatory connection, two kinds of traveling chimera states appear in opposite directions. Besides, a new type of chimera state composed of traveling chimera state and incoherent state is observed, named the semi-traveling chimera state. Multi-head traveling chimera states with several incoherent groups are also observed. For excitatory-inhibitory connection, the network is observed to exhibit an imperfect coherent state under the synergistic effect of strong excitatory and weak inhibitory coupling. Moreover, a firing pattern named mixed-amplitude bursting state is witnessed,consisting of two bursts of different amplitudes in a time sequence. Furthermore, an electric circuit is designed and built on Multisim to realize the above phenomena, suggesting that traveling chimera states could be generated in real circuits.
