1Analysis of status and countermeasures of cancer incidence and mortality in China显示文摘Cancer is the leading cause of human deaths in the world and produces serious economic burdens. On September 12, 2018, the academic journal A Cancer Journal for Clinicians published an article about the latest statistics of cancers worldwide, which provided a status report on the global burden of 36 cancers in 185 countries worldwide. Cancer has also become a serious public health problem in China and caused more and more attention of the government and people in recent years. 2Model Predictive Control-Based Direct Torque Control for Matrix Converter-Fed Induction Motor with Reduced Torque Ripple显示文摘To reduce the torque ripple in motors resulting from the use of conventional direct torque control(DTC),a model predictive control(MPC)-based DTC strategy for a direct matrix converter-fed induction motor is proposed in this paper.Two new look-up tables are proposed,these are derived on the basis of the control of the electromagnetic torque and stator flux using all the feasible voltage vectors and their associated switching states.Finite control set model predictive control(FCS-MPC)has then been adopted to select the optimal switching state that minimizes the cost function related to the electromagnetic torque.Finally,the experimental results are shown to verify the reduced torque ripple performance of the proposed MPC-based DTC method.Hanbing Dan Peng Zeng Wenjing Xiong Meng Wen Mei Su Marco Rivera 2021CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2021,5,2:5

4Calcium carbonate promotes the formation and stability of soil macroaggregates in mining areas of China显示文摘We studied changes in the concentrations of aggregate-cementing agents after different reclamation times and with different fertilization regimes,as well as the formation mechanism of aggregates in reclaimed soil,to provide a theoretical basis for rapid reclamation of soil fertility in the subsidence area of coal mines in Shanxi Province,China.In this study,soil samples of 0–20 cm depth were collected from four fertilization treatments of a longterm experiment started in 2008:no fertilizer (CK),inorganic fertilizer (NPK),chicken manure compost (M),and50%inorganic fertilizer plus 50%chicken manure compost (MNPK).The concentrations of cementing agents and changes in soil aggregate size distribution and stability were analysed.The results showed that the formation of>2 mm aggregates,the aggregate mean weight diameter (MWD),and the proportion of>0.25 mm water-stable aggregates (WR_(0.25)) increased significantly after 6 and 11 years of reclamation.The concentration of organic cementing agents tended to increase with reclamation time,whereas free iron oxide (Fed) and free aluminium oxide(Ald) concentrations initially increased but then decreased.In general,the MNPK treatment signi?cantly increased the concentrations of organic cementing agents and CaCO_(3),and CaCO_(3) increased by 60.4%at 11 years after reclamation.Additionally,CaCO_(3) had the greatest effect on the stability of aggregates,promoting the formation of>0.25 mm aggregates and accounting for 54.4%of the variance in the proportion and stability of the aggregates.It was concluded that long-term reclamation is bene?cial for improving soil structure.The MNPK treatment was the most effective measure for increasing maize grain yield and concentration of organic cementing agents and CaCO_(3).Junyu Xie Jianyong Gao Hanbing Cao Jiahui Li Xiang Wang Jie Zhang Huisheng Meng Jianping Hong Tingliang Li Minggang Xu 2024Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,3:0
5Effects of zero-valent iron added in the flooding or drainage process on cadmium immobilization in an acid paddy soil显示文摘Zero-valent iron(ZVI)is a promising material for the remediation of Cd-contaminated paddy soils.However,the effects of ZVI added during flooding or drainage processes on cadmium(Cd)retention remain unclear.Herein,Cd-contaminated paddy soil was incubated for 40days of flooding and then for 15 days of drainage,and the underlying mechanisms of Cd immobilization coupled with Fe/S/N redox processes were investigated.The addition of ZVI to the flooding process was more conducive to Cd immobilization.Less potential available Cd was detected by adding ZVI before flooding,which may be due to the increase in paddy soil pH and newly formed secondary Fe minerals.Moreover,the reductive dissolution of Fe minerals promoted the release of soil colloids,thereby increasing significantly the surface sites and causing Cd immobilization.Additionally,the addition of ZVI before flooding played a vital role in Cd retention after soil drainage.In contrast,the addition of ZVI in the drainage phase was not conducive to Cd retention,which might be due to the rapid decrease in soil pH that inhibited Cd adsorption and further immobilization on soil surfaces.The findings of this study demonstrated that Cd availability in paddy soil was largely reduced by adding ZVI during the flooding period and provide a novel insight into the mechanisms of ZVI remediation in Cd-contaminated paddy soils.Hanbing Meng Shiwen Hu Zebin Hong Wenting Chi Guojun Chen Kuan Cheng QiWang Tongxu Liu Fangbai Li Kexue Liu Yang Yang 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4:0
6High-Performance Magnetic-core Coils for Targeted Rodent Brain Stimulations显示文摘Objective and Impact Statement.There is a need to develop rodent coils capable of targeted brain stimulation for treating neuropsychiatric disorders and understanding brain mechanisms.We describe a novel rodent coil design to improve the focality for targeted stimulations in small rodent brains.Introduction.Transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)is becoming increasingly important for treating neuropsychiatric disorders and understanding brain mechanisms.Preclinical studies permit invasive manipulations and are essential for the mechanistic understanding of TMS effects and explorations of therapeutic outcomes in disease models.However,existing TMS tools lack focality for targeted stimulations.Notably,there has been limited fundamental research on developing coils capable of focal stimulation at deep brain regions on small animals like rodents.Methods.In this study,ferromagnetic cores are added to a novel angle-tuned coil design to enhance the coil performance regarding penetration depth and focality.Numerical simulations and experimental electric field measurements were conducted to optimize the coil design.Results.The proposed coil system demonstrated a significantly smaller stimulation spot size and enhanced electric field decay rate in comparison to existing coils.Adding the ferromagnetic core reduces the energy requirements up to 60%for rodent brain stimulation.The simulated results are validated with experimental measurements and demonstration of suprathreshold rodent limb excitation through targeted motor cortex activation.Conclusion.The newly developed coils are suitable tools for focal stimulations of the rodent brain due to their smaller stimulation spot size and improved electric field decay rate.Hedyeh Bagherzadeh Qinglei Meng Hanbing Lu Elliott Hong Yihong Yang Fow-Sen Choa 2022Biomedical Engineering Frontiers2022,3,1:0
7Starved lubrication analysis of angular contact ball bearing based on a multi-degree-of-freedom tribo-dynamic model显示文摘When the oil supply is not adequate to maintain the ideal lubrication,angular contact ball bearing will enter into the starved lubrication regime resulting in the potential performance degradation and consequently the severe failures.To study the effects of starved lubrication on the performance of angular contact ball bearing,this paper first proposes a multi-degree-of-freedom(DOF)tribo-dynamic model by introducing five-DOF inner ring,six-DOF balls,and six-DOF cage.The model considers the starved lubrication in the ball-raceway contact and the full multi-body interactions between the bearing components.With different ball-raceway starvation degrees being analyzed,the effects of starved lubrication on the bearing tribo-dynamic performance are first revealed.By comparison,it is found that the oil film thickness,the skidding performance,and the traction forces in the ball-raceway contact are significantly influenced by the starvation degrees.It is also found that the starvation-induced change of the ball-pocket contact force is dramatical under combined loads,and the maximum contact force under this load condition increases with the increasing starvation degrees.Chengwei WEN Xianghui MENG Jiaming GU Lin XIAO Shuang JIANG Hanbing BI 2023Friction2023,11,8:0
