2Photonic amorphous topological insulator显示文摘The current understanding of topological insulators and their classical wave analogs,such as photonic topological insulators,is mainly based on topological band theory.However,standard band theory does not apply to amorphous phases of matter,which are formed by non-crystalline lattices with no long-range positional order but only shortrange order,exhibiting unique phenomena such as the glass-to-liquid transition.Here,we experimentally investigate amorphous variants of a Chern number-based photonic topological insulator.By tuning the disorder strength in the lattice,we demonstrate that photonic topological edge states can persist into the amorphous regime prior to the glass-to-liquid transition.After the transition to a liquid-like lattice configuration,the signatures of topological edge states disappear.This interplay between topology and short-range order in amorphous lattices paves the way for new classes of non-crystalline topological photonic bandgap materials.Peiheng Zhou Gui-Geng Liu Xin Ren Yihao Yang Haoran Xue Lei Bi Longjiang Deng Yidong Chong Baile Zhang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:1
3Investigating formate tolerance mechanisms in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and its application显示文摘Current global energy and environmental crisis have spurred efforts towards developing sustainable biotechnological solutions,such as utilizing CO_(2) and its derivatives as raw materials.Formate is an attractive onecarbon source due to its high solubility and low reduction potential.However,the regulatory mechanism of formate metabolism in yeast remains largely unexplored.This study employed adaptive laboratory evolution(ALE)to improve formate tolerance in Saccharomyces cerevisiae and characterized the underlying molecular mechanisms.The evolved strain was applied to produce free fatty acids(FFAs)under high concentration of formate with glucose addition.The results showed that the evolved strain achieved a FFAs titer of 250 mg/L.Overall,this study sheds light on the regulatory mechanism of formate tolerance and provides a platform for future studies under high concentrations of formate.Kai Wang Yining Liu Zhuoheng Wu Yilu Wu Haoran Bi Yanhui Liu Meng Wang Biqiang Chen Jens Nielsen Zihe Liu Tianwei Tan 2023Green Carbon2023,1,1:1
4Geochronology and Geochemistry of Early Cretaceous Granitic Plutons in the Xing’an Massif, Great Xing’an Range, NE China: Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications显示文摘In this study, we present zircon U-Pb ages, whole-rock geochemical data and Hf isotopic compositions for the Meiguifeng and Arxan plutons in Xing’an Massif, Great Xing’an Range, which can provide important information in deciphering both Mesozoic magmatism and tectonic evolution of NE China. The zircon U-Pb dating results indicate that alkali feldspar granite from Meiguifeng pluton was emplaced at ~145 to 137 Ma, and granite porphyry of Arxan pluton was formed at ~129 Ma. The Meiguifeng and Arxan plutons have similar geochemical features, which are characterized by high silica, total alkalis, differentiation index, with low P2O5, CaO, MgO, TFe2O3 contents. They belong to high-K calc-alkaline series, and show weakly peraluminous characteristics. The Meiguifeng and Arxan plutons are both enriched in LREEs and LILEs(e.g., Rb, Th, U and K), and depleted in HREEs and HFSEs(e.g., Nb, Ta and Ti). Combined with the petrological and geochemical features, the Meiguifeng and Arxan plutons show highly fractionated I-type granite affinity. Moreover, the Meiguifeng and Arxan plutons may share a common or similar magma source, and they were probably generated by partial melting of Neoproterozoic high-K basaltic crust. Meanwhile, plagioclase, K-feldspar, biotite, apatite, monazite, allanite and Ti-bearing phases fractionated from the magma during formation of Meiguifeng and Arxan plutons. Combined with spatial distribution and temporal evolution, we assume that the generation of Early Cretaceous Meiguifeng and Arxan plutons in Great Xing’an Range was closely related to the break-off of Mudanjiang oceanic plate. 5Knowledge expression,numerical modeling and optimization application of ethylene thermal cracking:From the perspective of intelligent manufacturing显示文摘Applications of process systems engineering(PSE)in plants and enterprises are boosting industrial reform from automation to digitization and intelligence.For ethylene thermal cracking,knowledge expression,numerical modeling and intelligent optimization are key steps for intelligent manufacturing.This paper provides an overview of progress and contributions to the PSE-aided production of thermal cracking;introduces the frameworks,methods and algorithms that have been proposed over the past10 years and discusses the advantages,limitations and applications in industrial practice.An entire set of molecular-level modeling approaches from feedstocks to products,including feedstock molecular reconstruction,reaction-network auto-generation and cracking unit simulation are described.Multilevel control and optimization methods are exhibited,including at the operational,cycle,plant and enterprise level.Relevant software packages are introduced.Finally,an outlook in terms of future directions is presented.Kexin Bi Shuyuan Zhang Chen Zhang Haoran Li Xinye Huang Haoyu Liu Tong Qiu 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,10:1
6High Temperature Creep behaviour of a Si_3N_4 Whisker Reinforced Al-Fe-V-Si Composite显示文摘The creep behaviour of β-Si3N4 whisker reinforced Al-8.5Fe-1.3V-1.7Si composite has been investigated at the temperature 773 and 823 K. The results are characterized by high stress exponent and high apparent creep activation energy The creep data can be interpreted based on the incorporation of a threshold Stress and a load transfer coefficient into the power-law creep equation. A good correlation between the normalized creep rate and normalized effective stress is available which demonstrates that the creep behaviour of both the alloy and the composite is controlled by the matrix lattice self-diffusion in AI.
