1Chromatographic fingerprinting and quantitative analysis for the quality evaluation of Xinkeshu tablet显示文摘A simple, sensitive and accurate method based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detector (DAD) was developed and validated for systematic quality evaluation of one type of traditional Chinese medicine preparations named Xinkeshu (XKS) tablet. In this study, the chromatographic fingerprints of XKS tablet were developed first, 23 peaks were selected as the common peaks to evaluate the similarities among different batches of XKS samples, which were manufactured in a long time span of three years. Additionally, simultaneous quantification of six markers in XKS tablet, including Danshensu, Protocatechuic aldehyde, Puerarin, Daidzin, Salvianolic acid B and Daidzein, was performed. The validation results showed that the developed method was specific, accurate, precise and robust. The preliminary explanation on why a close similarity between fingerprints did not exactly mean similar contents of chemical components in samples was given. The contribution of each chromatographic peak to similarity was also evaluated. 2Recent advances in two-photon imaging: technology developments and biomedical applications显示文摘In the past two decades, two-photon microscopy (TPM) transforms biomedicalresearch, allowing nondestructive high-resolution fluorescent molecular imaging and label-free imaging in vivo and in real time. Here we review the recent advances of TPM technologyincluding novel laser sources, new image acquisition paradiams, and microendoscopicimaging systems. Then, we survey the capabilities of TPM imagingof biological relevant molecules such as nicotinamideadenine dinucleotide (NADH), flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD),and reactive oxygen species (ROS). 3Tailoring thermal conductivity of bulk graphene oxide by tuning the oxidation degree显示文摘Bulk graphene oxide(GO) shows great potential in a variety of applications, such as sensors,photodetectors, supercapacitors, lithium ion batteries and catalysts. However, its thermal conductivity,one of the most important and fundamental physical properties, is still less known. Herein, we have systematically investigated the thermal conductivity of bulk GOs and find that it can be tailored by tuning their oxidation degree during preparation process. Notably, the cross-plane thermal conductivity of bulk GO, in comparison with its precursor graphite, exhibits more than 100 times decrease at room temperature. The dependence of thermal conductivity of GO on oxidation degree is attributed to the chemical and structural changes by introducing oxygen atoms and oxygen-containing functional groups,which can lead to a significant enhancement in atomic-and nano-scale phonon scattering. Furthermore,we reveal that the thermal conductivity of bulk GOs exhibits evident anisotropic behavior. 7Structures and Properties Characterization of Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene /Organo-palygorskite Clay Composites显示文摘Palygorskite (PGS) and vinyl tris-(2-methoxyethoxy) silane (KH-172) modified palygorskite (OPGS) were used to prepare acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS)/clay composites. Thermal stability of the composites was evaluated by using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The morphology of the fractured surface and the degree of dispersion of the clay in the ABS matrix were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis results showed the variation of the crystal structure. 9Thermodynamic and Kinetic Analysis of Low-temperature Thermal Reduction of Graphene Oxide显示文摘The thermodynamic state and kinetic process of low-temperature deoxygenation reaction of graphene oxide(GO) have been investigated for better understanding on the reduction mechanism by using Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC), Thermogravimetry-Mass Spectrometry(TG-MS), and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS). It is found that the thermal reduction reaction of GO is exothermic with degassing of CO_2, CO and H_2O. Graphene is thermodynamically more stable than GO. 15Phylogenetic patterns suggest frequent multiple origins of secondary metabolites across the seed-plant‘tree of life’显示文摘To evaluate the phylogenetic patterns of the distribution and evolution of plant secondary metabolites(PSMs),we selected 8 classes of PSMs and mapped them onto an updated phylogenetic tree including 437 families of seed plants.A significant phylogenetic signal was detected in 17 of the 18 tested seed-plant clades for at least 1 of the 8 PSM classes using the D statistic.The phylogenetic signal,nevertheless,indicated weak clustering of PSMs compared to a random distribution across all seed plants.The observed signal suggests strong diversifying selection during seed-plant evolution and/or relatively weak evolutionary constraints on the evolution of PSMs.In the survey of the current phylogenetic distributions of PSMs,we found that multiple origins of PSM biosynthesis due to external selective forces for diverse genetic pathways may have played important roles.In contrast,a single origin of PSMs seems rather uncommon.The distribution patterns for PSMs observed in this study may also be useful in the search for natural compounds for medicinal purposes.Yongzeng Zhang Tao Deng Lu Sun Jacob B.Landis Michael J.Moore Hengchang Wang Yuehua Wang Xiaojiang Hao Jijun Chen Shenghong Li Maonian Xu Pema-Tenzin Puno Peter H.Raven Hang Sun 2021National Science Review2021,8,4:1

17Facile fabrication of paper-based flexible thermoelectric generator显示文摘Paper,as a foldable,pollution-free,and low-cost material,has become a suitable support substrate for producing flexible thermoelectric(TE)generators to realize waste heat recycling and the application of human-powered electronic devices.We propose a facile fabrication method to modify cellulose paper with inorganic TE powders via vacuum filtration,making a modified paper that possesses good thermoelectric properties.By connecting the modified paper to copper foils,flexible paper-based TE generators(PTGs)are fabricated.The obtained PTG with three units of P–N modules can generate an output voltage of∼41.2 mV at a temperature difference of 50 K.Based on this modified paper,a thermal sensor that responds to heat sources,such as fingers,is proposed with a rapid response time of 0.25 s.This work offers a promising strategy for the simple fabrication of PTGs,paving the way for achieving the commercial application of self-powered wearable electronics.Zuoyuan Dong Hua Liu Xin Yang Jichen Fan Hengchang Bi Chaolun Wang Yonghua Zhang Chen Luo Xinqian Chen Xing Wu 2021npj Flexible Electronics2021,5,1:1
