Board affiliation and pay gap显示文摘This paper examines the effects of board affiliation on the corporate pay gap.Using a sample of Chinese listed firms from 2005 to 2011, we find that boards with a greater presence of directors appointed by block shareholders have lower pay gaps. Furthermore, the governance effects of board affiliation with and without pay are distinguished. The empirical results show that board affiliation without pay is negatively related to the pay gap, while board affiliation with pay is positively related to the pay gap. Overall, the results shed light on how block shareholders affect their companies' pay gaps through board affiliation. | Shenglan Chen Hui Ma Danlu Bu | 2014 | China Journal of Accounting Research2014,,2: | 4
High-resolution Remote Sensing Image Semi-global Matching Method Considering Geometric Constraints of Connection Points and Image Texture Information显示文摘Dense matching of remote sensing images is a key step in the generation of accurate digital surface models. The semi-global matching algorithm comprehensively considers the advantages and disadvantages of local matching and global matching in terms of matching effect and computational efficiency,so it is widely used in close-range,aerial and satellite image matching.Based on the analysis of the original semi-global matching algorithm, this paper proposes a semi-global high-resolution remote sensing image that takes into account the geometric constraints of the connection points and the image texture information based on a large amount of high-resolution remote sensing image data and the characteristics of clear image texture.123123The method includes 4 parts:①Precise orientation.Aiming at the system error in the image orientation model, the system error of the rational function model is compensated by the geometric constraint relationship of the connecting points between the images, and the sub-pixel positioning accuracy is obtained;②Epipolar image generation. After the original image is divided into blocks, the epipolar image is generated based on the projection trajectory method;③Image dense matching. In order to reduce the size of the cost space and calculation time, the image is pyramided and then semi-globally matched layer by layer. In the matching process, the disparity map expansion and erosion algorithm that takes into account the image texture information is introduced to restrict the disparity search range and better retain the edge characteristics of the ground objects;④Generate DSM.In order to test the matching effect, the weighted median filter algorithm is used to filter the disparity map,and the DSM is obtained based on the principle of forward intersection. Finally, the paper uses the matching results of WordView3 and Ziyuan No.3 stereo image to verify the effectiveness of this method. | Jingguo LV Xingbin YANG Danlu ZHANG Shan JIANG | 2021 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,4: | 4

An Effective Platform for Exploring Rotavirus Receptors by Bacterial Surface Display System显示文摘Rotavirus(RV) is a major foodborne pathogen. For RV prevention and control, it is a key to uncover the interaction mechanism between virus and its receptors. However, it is hard to specially purify the viral receptors, including histo-blood group antigens(HBGAs). Previously, the protruding domain protein(P protein) of human norovirus(genotype Ⅱ.4) was displayed on the surface of Escherichia coli, and it specifically recognized and captured the viral ligands. In order to further verify the feasibility of the system, P protein was replaced by VP8* of RV(G9 P[8]) in this study. In the system, VP8*could be correctly released by thrombin treatment with antigenicity retaining, which was confirmed by Western blot and Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays. Type A HBGAs from porcine gastric mucin(PGM) were recognized and captured by this system. From saliva mixture, the captured viral receptor bound with displayed VP8* was confirmed positive with monoclonal antibody against type A HBGAs. It indicated that the target ligands could be easily separated from the complex matrix. These results demonstrate that the bacterial surface display system will be an effective platform to explore viral receptors/ligands from cell lines or food matrix. | Danlei Liu Haoran Geng Zilei Zhang Yifan Xing Danlu Yang Zhicheng Liu Dapeng Wang | 2020 | Virologica Sinica2020,35,1: | 1

Chromatin-associated SUMOylation controls the transcriptional switch between plant development and heat stress responses显示文摘The post-translational protein modification known as SUMOylation has conserved roles in the heat stress responses of various species. The functional connection between the global regulation of gene expression and chromatin-associatedSUMOylation in plant cells isunknown. Here, weuncovereda genome-wide relationship between chromatin-associated SUMOylation and transcriptional switches in Arabidopsis thaliana grown at room temperature, exposed to heat stress, and exposed to heat stress followed by recovery. The small ubiquitin-like modifier(SUMO)-associated chromatin sites, characterized by whole-genome ChIP-seq,were generally associated with active chromatin markers. In response to heat stress,chromatin-associated SUMO signals increased at promoter-transcriptional start site regions and decreased in gene bodies.RNAseq analysis supported the role of chromatin-associatedSUMOylation in transcriptional activation during rapid responses to high temperature.Changes inSUMOsignals on chromatinwere associated with the upregulation of heat-responsivegenesandthedownregulation ofgrowth-relatedgenes.Disruption of theSUMOligasegene SIZ1 abolished SUMOsignals on chromatin and attenuated rapid transcriptional responses to heat stress. The SUMO signal peaks were enriched in DNA elements recognized by distinct groups of transcription factors under different temperature conditions. These observations provide evidence that chromatin-associated SUMOylation regulates the transcriptional switch between development and heat stress response in plant cells. | Danlu Han Chen Chen Simin Xia Jun Liu Jie Shu Vi Nguyen Jianbin Lai Yuhai Cui Chengwei Yang | 2021 | Plant Communications2021,2,1: | 1
Design of a novel chimeric peptide via dual blockade of CD47/SIRPαand PD-1/PD-L1 for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Although immune checkpoint inhibition has been shown to effectively activate antitumor immunity in various tumor types, only a small subset of patients can benefit from PD-1/PD-L1 blockade.CD47 expressed on tumor cells protects them from phagocytosis through interaction with SIRPαon macrophages, while PD-L1 dampens T cell-mediated tumor killing. Therefore, dual targeting PD-L1 and CD47 may improve the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy.A chimeric peptide Pal-DMPOP was designed by conjugating the double mutation of CD47/SIRPαblocking peptide(DMP)with the truncation of PD-1/PD-L1 blocking peptide OPBP-1(8-12)and was modified by a palmitic acid tail.Pal-DMPOP can significantly enhance macrophage-mediated phagocytosis of tumor cells and activate primary T cells to secret IFN-γin vitro.Due to its superior hydrolysis-resistant activity as well as tumor tissue and lymph node targeting properties,Pal-DMPOP elicited stronger anti-tumor potency than Pal-DMP or OPBP-1(8-12)in immune-competent MC38 tumor-bearing mice. The in vivo anti-tumor activity was further validated in the colorectal CT26 tumor model.Furthermore,Pal-DMPOP mobilized macrophage and T-cell anti-tumor responses with minimal toxicity.Overall, the first bispecific CD47/SIRPαand PD-1/PD-L1 dual-blockade chimeric peptide was designed and exhibited synergistic anti-tumor efficacy via CD8^(+)T cell activation and macrophage-mediated immune response. The strategy could pave the way for designing effective therapeutic agents for cancer immunotherapy. | Zheng Hu Wanqiong Li Shaomeng Chen Danhong Chen Ran Xu Danlu Zheng Xin Yang Shuzhen Li Xiuman Zhou Xiaoshuang Niu Youmei Xiao Zhuoying He Huihao Li Juan Liu Xinghua Sui Yanfeng Gao | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10: | 1

Study of the influence of virtual guard ring width on the performance of SPAD detectors in 180 nm standard CMOS technology显示文摘The influence of the virtual guard ring width(GRW)on the performance of the p-well/deep n-well single-photon avalanche diode(SPAD)in a 180 nm standard CMOS process was investigated.TCAD simulation demonstrates that the electric field strength and current density in the guard ring are obviously enhanced when GRW is decreased to 1μm.It is experimentally found that, compared with an SPAD with GRW=2μm,the dark count rate(DCR)and afterpulsing probability(AP)of the SPAD with GRW=1μm is significantly increased by 2.7 times and twofold, respectively, meanwhile, its photon detection probability(PDP)is saturated and hard to be promoted at over 2 V excess bias voltage.Although the fill factor(FF)can be enlarged by reducing GRW,the dark noise of devices is negatively affected due to the enhanced trap-assisted tunneling(TAT)effect in the 1μm guard ring region.By comparison, the SPAD with GRW=2μm can achieve a better trade-off between the FF and noise performance. Our study provides a design guideline for guard rings to realize a low-noise SPAD for large-array applications. | Danlu Liu Ming Li Tang Xu Jie Dong Yuming Fang Yue Xu | 2023 | Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,11: | 0
An endolysin gene from Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus confers dual resistance to huanglongbing and citrus canker显示文摘The most damaging citrus diseases are Huanglongbing(HLB)and citrus canker, which are caused by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(CaLas)and Xanthomonas citri pv.citri(Xcc),respectively.Endolysins from bacteriophages are a possible option for disease resistance in plant breeding. Here,we report improvement of citrus resistance to HLB and citrus canker using the LasLYS1 and LasLYS2 endolysins from CaLas.LasLYS2 demonstrated bactericidal efficacy against several Rhizobiaceae bacteria and Xcc,according to inhibition zone analyses. The two genes, driven by a strong promoter from Cauliflower mosaic virus,35S,were integrated into Carrizo citrange via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation.More than 2 years of greenhouse testing indicated that LasLYS2 provided substantial and long-lasting resistance to HLB,allowing transgenic plants to retain low CaLas titers and no obvious symptoms while also clearing CaLas from infected plants in the long term.LasLYS2 transgenic plants with improved HLB resistance also showed resistance to Xcc,indicating that LasLYS2 had dual resistance to HLB and citrus canker.A microbiome study of transgenic plants revealed that the endolysins repressed Xanthomonadaceae and Rhizobiaceae populations in roots while increasing Burkholderiaceae and Rhodanobacteraceae populations, which might boost the citrus defense response, according to transcriptome analysis. We also found that Lyz domain 2 is the key bactericidal motif of LasLYS1 and LasLYS2.Four endolysins with potential resistance to HLB and citrus canker were found based on the structures of LasLYS1 and LasLYS2.Overall,the work shed light on the mechanisms of resistance of CaLas-derived endolysins, providing insights for designing endolysins to develop broad-spectrum disease resistance in citrus. | Lanzhen Xu Kaiqing Mo Danlu Ran Juanjuan Ma Lehuan Zhang Yijia Sun Qin Long Guojin Jiang Xiaochun Zhao Xiuping Zou | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,9: | 0

SUMOylation facilitates the assembly of a Nuclear Factor-Y complex to enhance thermotolerance in Arabidopsis显示文摘Heat stress(HS) has serious negative effects on plant development and has become a major threat to agriculture. A rapid transcriptional regulatory cascade has evolved in plants in response to HS. Nuclear Factor-Y(NF-Y) complexes are critical for this mechanism, but how NF-Y complexes are regulated remains unclear. In this study, we identified NF-YC10(NF-Y subunit C10), a central regulator of the HS response in Arabidopsis thaliana, as a substrate of SUMOylation, an important post-translational modification. Biochemical analysis showed that the SUMO ligase SIZ1(SAP AND MIZ1 DOMAINCONTAINING LIGASE1) interacts with NF-YC10and enhances its SUMOylation during HS. The SUMOylation of NF-YC10 facilitates its interaction with and the nuclear translocation of NF-YB3, in which the SUMO interaction motif(SIM)is essential for its efficient association with NF-YC10. Further functional analysis indicated that the SUMOylation of NF-YC10 and the SIM of NF-YB3 are critical for HS-responsive gene expression and plant thermotolerance. These findings uncover a role for the SIZ1-mediated SUMOylation of NF-YC10 in NF-Y complex assembly under HS, providing new insights into the role of a post-translational modification in regulating transcription during abiotic stress responses in plants. | Junwen Huang Junjie Huang Qiyi Feng Yaqiao Shi Feige Wang Kaiyong Zheng Qize Huang Jieming Jiang Siyi Luo Yun Xie Danlu Han Jianbin Lai Chengwei Yang | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,3: | 0

Halide-free carbonylation of methanol with H-MOR supported CuCeO_(x) catalysts显示文摘Heterogeneous halide-free carbonylation of methanol to acetates, including methyl acetate(MA)and acetic acid, using non-precious metal catalysts has been a topic of interest for decades. The key issue is that the water produced by methanol dehydration inhibits the formation of acetyl species and reduces the MA selectivity. Here,we report that CuCeO_(x)/H-mordenite(H-MOR)catalyst can nearly eliminate the inhibiting effect of water on carbonylation by a water-gas shift reaction(WGSR)on-site,and can thus achieve 96.5%methanol conversion with 87.4%MA selectivity for the halide-free carbonylation of methanol. The results of powder X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy show that the Cu and Ce species are highly dispersed on H-MOR even when the CuCeO_(x)contents are as high as 29 wt-%.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and CO chemisorption analysis reveal that a small portion of Cu species can migrate into the channel of H-MOR when CuCeO_(x)/H-MOR is calcined at 500℃and these Cu species are converted into Cu^(+) sites upon reduction. The Cu^(+) sites facilitate the WGSR and are also active sites for methanol carbonylation. The introduction of Ce benefits the inhibition of coke deposits and thus enhances the catalyst stability. | Chaoli Tong Jiachang Zuo Danlu Wen Weikun Chen Linmin Ye Youzhu Yuan | 2021 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2021,15,5: | 0
Post-translational modification:a strategic response to high temperature in plants显示文摘With the increasing global warming high-temperature stress is affecting plant growth and develop-ment with greater frequency. Therefore,an increasing number of studies examining the mechanism of temperature response contribute to a more optimal understanding of plant growth under environ-mental pressure.Post-translational modification(PTM)provides the rapid reconnection of tr anscrip-tional programs including transcription factors and signaling proteins. It is vital that plants quickly respond to changes in the environment in order to survive under stressful situations.Herein,we discuss several types of PTMs that occur in response to warm-temperature and high-temperature stress, including ubiquitination,SUMOylation, phosphorylation, histone methylation, and acetylation. This review provides a valuable resolution to this issue to enable increased crop productivity at high temperatures. | Danlu Han Zhibo Yu Jianbin Lai Chengwei Yang | 2022 | aBIOTECH2022,3,1: | 0
