| 1 | Early ABA-stimulated maintenance of Cl^(−) homeostasis by mepiquat chloride priming confers salt tolerance in cotton seeds显示文摘Mepiquat chloride(MC)priming alleviates the effects of salt stress during seed germination in cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.),but the mechanisms underlying its effects are unknown. We found that MC priming increases salt tolerance,as evidenced by marked increases in seed vigor and germination rates, and alleviated salt toxicity by reducing Cl^(−)accumulation in germinating seeds.Consistently, electrophysiological experiments revealed that the seeds with MC priming displayed superior Cl^(−)exclusion ability in the root apex. These beneficial effects of MC priming were abolished by the abscisic acid(ABA)-synthesis blocker fluridone under salt stress.MC priming induced an early response to acclimatization and stress,as indicated by rapidly increasing ABA content during initial exposure to salt stress.Transcriptome analyses revealed that MC priming induced an array of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in germinating seeds. The most noticeable changes in germinating seeds were MC priming-induced increases in the expression of DEGs encoding components of ABA biosynthesis,ABA catabolism, and ABA signaling pathways under salt stress.MC priming also increased the expression of some DEGs encoding Cl^(−)ion transporters(e.g.CCC,SLAC1/SLAH1/SLAH3,CLC,and ALMT9)in germinating seeds. These results indicate that MC priming-induced ABA contributes to Cl^(−)homeostasis in tissues and acts as a positive regulator of salt tolerance via regulation of Cl^(−)transporters(particularly CCC and SLAC1/SLAH1/SLAH3).Taken together, these findings shed light on the molecular mechanism underlying MC-mediated tolerance to salt stress during seed germination. | Ning Wang Xiangru Wang Hengheng Zhang Xiaohong Liu Jianbin Shi Qiang Dong Qinghua Xu Huiping Gui Meizhen Song Gentu Yan | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,2: | 2 |
| 2 | Influence of White Spot Syndrome Virus Infection on Hepatopancreas Gene Expression of ‘Huanghai No.2' Shrimp(Fenneropenaeus chinensis)显示文摘To elucidate the molecular response of shrimp hepatopancreas to white spot syndrome virus(WSSV) infection, microarray was applied to investigate the differentially expressed genes in the hepatopancreas of ‘Huanghai No. 2'(Fenneropenaeus chinensis). A total of 59137 unigenes were designed onto a custom-made 60 K Agilent chip. After infection, the gene expression profiles in the hepatopancreas of the shrimp with a lower viral load at early(48–96 h), peak(168–192 h) and late(264–288 h) infection phases were analyzed. Of 18704 differentially expressed genes, 6412 were annotated. In total, 5453 differentially expressed genes(1916 annotated) expressed at all three phases, and most of the annotated were either up-or down-regulated continuously. These genes function diversely in, for example, immune response, cytoskeletal system, signal transduction, stress resistance, protein synthesis and processing, metabolism among others. Some of the immune-related genes, including antilipopolysaccharide factor, Kazal-type proteinase inhibitor, C-type lectin and serine protease encoding genes, were up-regulated after WSSV infection. These genes have been reported to be involved in the anti-WSSV responses. The expression of genes related to the cytoskeletal system, including β-actin and myosin but without tubulin genes, were down-regulated after WSSV infection. Astakine was found for the first time in the WSSV-infected F. chinensis. To further confirm the expression of differentially expressed genes, quantitative real-time PCR was performed to test the expression of eight randomly selected genes and verified the reliability and accuracy of the microarray expression analysis. The data will provide valuable information to understanding the immune mechanism of shrimp's response to WSSV. | MENG Xianhong SHI Xiaoli KONG Jie LUAN Sheng LUO Kun CAO Baoxiang LIU Ning LU Xia LI Xupeng DENG Kangyu CAO Jiawang ZHANG Yingxue ZHANG Hengheng | 2017 | Journal of Ocean University of China2017,16,5: | 1 |
| 3 | Remarkable N_(2)-selectivity enhancement of NH_(3)-SCR over HPMo modified MnCo-BTC@SiO_(2) catalyst显示文摘In this work, the phosphomolybdate(HPMo)modification strategy was applied to improve the N_(2) selectivity of Mn Co-BTC@SiO_(2)catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x),and further, the mechanism of HPMo modification on enhanced catalytic performance was explored.Among Mn Co-BTC@SiO_(2-x) catalysts with different HPMo concentrations,Mn CoBTC@SiO_(2)-0.75 catalyst exhibited not only the highest NH_(3)-SCR performance(95% at 200-300℃)but also the best N_(2)selectivity(exceed 80% at 100-300℃)due to the appropriate redox capacity, greater surface acidity.X-ray photoelectron spectrometer(XPS)and temperature programmed reduction of H_(2)(H_(2)-TPR)results showed that the modification with HPMo reduced the oxidation-reduction performance of the catalyst due to electron transfer from Mo^(5+)to Mn^(4+)/Mn^(3+)and prevent the excessive oxidation of ammonia adsorption species.NH_(3)temperature-programmed desorption of(NH_(3)-TPD)results showed that the modification with HPMo could significantly improve the surface acidity and NH_(3)adsorption,which enhance the catalytic activity and N_(2)selectivity.In-situ diffused reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(in-situ DRIFTS)revealed that modification with HPMo increased significantly the amount of adsorbed NH_(3)species on the Bronsted acid site and C_(B)/C_(L),it suppressed the production of N_(2)O by inhibiting the production of NH species, the deep dehydrogenation of ammonia adsorption species. This study provided a simple design strategy for the catalyst to improve the low-temperature catalytic performance and N_(2)selectivity. | Songjin Ko Xiaolong Tang Fengyu Gao Honghong Yi Hengheng Liu Ning Luo | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4: | 0 |
| 4 | Low-temperature NH_(3)-SCR performance of a novel Chlorella@Mn composite denitrification catalyst显示文摘The synthesis process of conventional Mn-based denitrification catalysts is relatively complex and expensive. In this paper,a resource application of chlorella was proposed, and a Chlorella@Mn composite denitrification catalyst was innovatively synthesized by electrostatic interaction. The Chlorella@Mn composite denitrification catalyst prepared under the optimal conditions(0.54 g/L Mn^(2+)concentration,20 million chlorellas/mL concentration,450℃ calcination temperature)exhibited a well-developed pore structure and large specific surface area(122 m^(2)/g).Compared with MnOx alone, the Chlorella@Mn composite catalyst achieved superior performance,with~100%NH_(3)selective catalytic reduction(NH_(3)-SCR)denitrification activity at 100-225℃.The results of NH_(3)temperature-programmed desorption(NH_(3)-TPD)and H_(2)temperature-programmed reduction(H_(2)-TPR)showed that the catalyst had strong acid sites and good redox properties.Zeta potential testing showed that the electronegativity of the chlorella cell surface could be used to enrich with Mn^(2+).X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)confirmed that Chlorella@Mn had a high content of Mn^(3+)and surface chemisorbed oxygen.In-situ diffuse refectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(in-situ DRIFTS)experimental results showed that both Langmuir-Hinshelwood(L-H)and Eley-Rideal(E-R)mechanisms play a role in the denitrification process on the surface of the Chlorella@Mn catalyst, where the main intermediate nitrate species is monodentate nitrite. The presence of SO_(2)promoted the generation and strengthening of Bronsted acid sites, but also generated more sulfate species on the surface, thereby reducing the denitrification activity of the Chlorella@Mn catalyst. The Chlorella@Mn composite catalyst had the characteristics of short preparation time, simple process and low cost, making it promising for industrial application. | Hengheng Liu Fengyu Gao Songjin Ko Ning Luo Xiaolong Tang Erhong Duan Honghong Yi Yuansong Zhou | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,3: | 0 |
