3A vacuole localized β-glucosidase contributes to drought tolerance in Arabidopsis显示文摘The phytohormone abscisic acid (ABA) plays a critical role in plant growth, development, and adaptation to various stress conditions. The cellular ABA level is constantly adjusted to respond to changing physiological and environmental conditions. To date, the mechanisms for fine-tuning ABA levels remain elusive. Here, we report that BGLU10, a member of a multigene family of β-glucosidases, contributes to drought tolerance in Arabidopsis. The T-DNA insertion mutant bglu10 exhibited a droughtsensitive phenotype, characterized by an increased rate of water loss, and lower leaf temperature, β-glucosidase activity, ABA content, and expressions of ABA-and drought-responsive genes under drought stress. In contrast, lines overexpressing BGLU10 showed greater drought resistance than that of the wild-type, as shown by decreased water loss via transpiration, higher β-glucosidase activity, ABA level, and expressions of ABA- and stress-responsive genes under drought stress. Transient expression of BGLU10::GFP and γ-TIP1::RFP in mesophyll cell protoplasts showed that the BGLU10 enzyme protein was localized to the vacuole. 5Adsorption Kinetics of 2,2′,4,4′-Tetrabromodiphenyl Ether(BDE-47) on Maize Straw-Derived Biochars显示文摘The chars in the natural environment can affect the migration of polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs). However, there is insufficient research relating to the adsorption behavior and mechanisms of PBDEs on biochars. This study examined the adsorption kinetics of 2,2′,4,4′-tetrabromodiphenyl ether(BDE-47) on maize straw-derived biochars(MSBCs) pyrolyzed at four different temperatures via batch experiments. The biochar samples were characterized using Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy,Raman spectra, and elemental analysis. A two-compartment first-order model and pseudo-second-order model exhibited a better fit compared to a pseudo-first-order model in describing the BDE-47 adsorption on biochars, which was dominated by a slow adsorption compartment and chemisorption. The MSBC pyrolyzed at 600 °C had the highest BDE-47 adsorption capacity owing to its relatively large specific surface area and relatively high aromaticity compared with the other three MSBCs pyrolyzed at 300, 400, and 500 ℃.However, there was no significant difference in adsorption capacity among the other three biochars. The organic functional groups coupled with the graphene structures of biochars and the hydrophobic effect of the functional groups promoted the adsorption of BDE-47. Pore diffusion was not the sole rate-limiting step;film diffusion was also involved in the adsorption process of BDE-47 on biochars. 7Microwave-assisted synthesis of nanoscale Eu(BTC)(H_2O)·DMF with tunable luminescence显示文摘Nanoscale europium(III) metal-organic frameworks, Eu(BTC)(H2O)?DMF, were synthesized by rapid microwave-assisted method. The components of the as-prepared products were confirmed by the elemental analysis, X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA) and Fourier-transform infrared spectra(FTIR) analyses. Eu(BTC)(H2O)?DMF with various morphologies, including particle-like, rod-like, straw-sheaf-like nanostructures, could be simply prepared by controlling the concentrations of the starting reactants. The optical measurements on the obtained Eu(BTC)(H2O)?DMF indicated that all the nanomaterials show the characteristic emissions of the Eu3+ ions at 578, 590, 612, 650, and 699 nm, which were attributed to 5D0?7FJ(J=0–4) transitions of the Eu3+ ion, respectively. It was also noticed that the luminescent properties of the as-prepared products were heavily dependent on the morphologies and sizes of the nanomaterials. 8Construction of trace silver modified core@shell structured Pt-Ni nanoframe@CeO2 for semihydrogenation of phenylacetylene显示文摘The Pt-Ni nanoframe catalysts have attracted great interest owing to their unique electronic structure and excellent catalytic performance. However, the stability of the tenu ous edges of nano frame-structures is dissatisfactory and their un iversal applicati ons in catalytic market beyond electrocatalytic reactions are yet to be tapped and explored. Herein, we developed a new core@ shell structured Pt-Ni nanoframe@CeO2 (Pt-Ni NF@CeO2) composite via etching the Ni from inhomogeneous Pt-Ni rhombic dodecahedra (Pt-Ni RD) by cerium(lll) acetate hydrate (Ce(OAc)3). In this path, Pt-Ni RD was used as self-sacrificial 怕mplate, while the Ce(OAc)3 serves as the provider of the Ce3* source and OH' for the formation of CeO2 shell, etchant of Pt-Ni RD, and the surface modification agent. By this way, the etching of Pt-Ni RD and the formation of the CeO2 shell are simultaneously proceeded to form the final Pt-Ni NF@CeO2 in one step. The obtained Pt-Ni NF@CeO2 exhibits strong in terfacial charge tran sfer interactio n betwee n Pt-Ni NF core and CeO2 shell eve n without reductio n treatment, leading to enhan ced catalytic activity in the hydrogenation of phenylacetylene. After introduction of trace silver, the Pt-Ni-Ag4.9 NF@CeO2 achieves remarkable catalytic performa nee for the selective con versi on of phe ny lacetyle ne to styrene: high con version (100%), styre ne selectivity (86.5%), and good stability. It reveals that enc apsulatio n n oble metal nano frames into metal oxide to form core @ shell structured hybrids will in deed enhance their stability and catalytic properties. 9Degradation of dissolved organic matter in effluent of municipal wastewater plant by a combined tidal and subsurface flow constructed wetland显示文摘Dissolved organic matter(DOM)is an important constituent of wastewater treatment plant(WWTP)effluent.A novel combined tidal and subsurface flow constructed wetland(TF-SSFCW)of 90 L was constructed for a ten-month trial of advanced treatment of the WWTP effluent.Excitation emission matrix(EEM)fluorescence spectroscopy,parallel factor(PARAFAC)analysis and a two end-member mixing model were employed to characterize the composition and removal process of the effluent DOM(EfOM)from the WWTP.The results showed that the TF-SSF-CW performed an efficient EfOM removal with dissolved organic carbon(DOC)removal rate of 88%and dissolved organic nitrogen(DON)removal rate of 91%.Further analysis demonstrated that the EfOM consisted mainly of two protein moieties and two humic-like groups;protein moieties(76%)constituted the main content of EfOM in raw water and humic-like groups(57%)became the dominating contributor after treatment.The EfOM from the WWTP was mainly of aquatic bacterial origin and evolved to a higher proportion of terrigenous origin with higher humification in the TF-SSF-CW effluent.A common controlling treatment-related factor for determining the concentrations of the same kind of substances(protein groups or humic-like groups)was revealed to exist,and the ratio of removal rates between the same substances in treatment was calculated.Our study demonstrates that the TF-SSF-CW can be a novel and effective treatment method for the EfOM from WWTPs,and is helpful for understanding of the character of EfOM in wetland treatment.Chunjian Lyu Ruixia Liu Xiaojie Li Yonghui Song Hongjie Gao 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,8:2
10Boosting Chemodynamic Therapy by the Synergistic Effect of Co‑Catalyze and Photothermal Effect Triggered by the Second Near‑Infrared Light显示文摘In spite of the tumor microenvironments responsive cancer therapy based on Fenton reaction(i.e.,chemodynamic therapy,CDT)has been attracted more attentions in recent years,the limited Fenton reaction efficiency is the important obstacle to further application in clinic.Herein,we synthesized novel FeO/MoS2 nanocomposites modified by bovine serum albumin(FeO/MoS2-BSA)with boosted Fenton reaction efficiency by the synergistic effect of co-catalyze and photothermal effect of MoS2 nanosheets triggered by the second near-infrared(NIR II)light.In the tumor microenvironments,the MoS2 nanosheets not only can accelerate the conversion of Fe3+ions to Fe2+ions by Mo4+ions on their surface to improve Fenton reaction efficiency,but also endow FeO/MoS2-BSA with good photothermal performances for photothermal-enhanced CDT and photothermal therapy(PTT).Consequently,benefiting from the synergetic-enhanced CDT/PTT,the tumors are eradicated completely in vivo.This work provides innovative synergistic strategy for constructing nanocomposites for highly efficient CDT.Songtao Zhang Longhai Jin Jianhua Liu Yang Liu Tianqi Zhang Ying Zhao Na Yin Rui Niu Xiaoqing Li Dongzhi Xue Shuyan Song Yinghui Wang Hongjie Zhang 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,12:2

18Cascade-responsive nanobomb with domino effect for anti-tumor synergistic therapies显示文摘The development of reactive oxygen species(ROS) generation agents that can selectively produce sufficient ROS at the tumor site without external energy stimulation is of great significance for the further clinical application of ROS-based therapies. Herein, we designed a cascade-responsive ROS nanobomb(ZnO_(2)@Ce6/CaP@CPPO/BSA, designated as Z@Ce6/Ca P@CB) with domino effect and without external stimulation for the specific generation of multiple powerful ROS storms at the tumor site. The calcium phosphate shell and ZnO_(2)core gradually degrade and release Ca^(2+), Zn^(2+)and hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)) under acid stimulation. On the one hand, Zn^(2+)can enhance the generation of endogenous superoxide anions(·O_(2)) and H_(2)O_(2)through the inhibition of the mitochondrial electron transport chain.On the other hand, the generation of large amounts of exogenous H_(2)O_(2)can cause oxidative damage to tumor cells and further activate bis[2,4,5-trichloro-6-(pentyloxycarbonyl)phenyl] oxalate(CPPO)-mediated chemiexcited photodynamic therapy. In addition, the oxidative stress caused by the generated ROS can lead to the uncontrolled accumulation of Ca^(2+)in cells and further result in Ca^(2+)overload-induced cell death. 19Engineering CeO_(2)/CuO heterostructure anchored on upconversion nanoparticles with boosting ROS generation-primed apoptosisferroptosis for cancer dynamic therapy显示文摘Highly toxic reactive oxygen species(ROS)induced apoptosis and ferroptosis have been considered as significant cell death pathways for cancer therapy.However,insufficient amount of intracellular ROS extremely restricts the therapeutic effect.Toward this,we report a rationally designed nanocomposite(mUCC)with enhanced ROS generation ability,inducing the combination of apoptosis and ferroptosis through synergistic photodynamic therapy(PDT)and chemodynamic therapy(CDT).Under 808 nm near-infrared(NIR)light irradiation,photocatalytic reaction is triggered starting from the separation of electron-hole pairs on the surface of heterojunction(CeO_(2)/CuO),realizing improved ROS production.Simultaneously,mUCC served as Fenton-like agent exhibits considerable ability to generate highly toxic·OH under tumor microenvironment(TME).The boosted accumulation of ROS disrupts the redox balance within tumor cells and results in the integration of apoptosis and ferroptosis.In addition,mUCC shows satisfactory tumor targeting property benefiting from the cancer cell membrane functionalization under the guidance of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and NIR fluorescence imaging.The intelligent mUCC with good biocompatibility and excellent antitumor response achieves efficient tumor elimination under synergistic PDT and CDT.This work offers an elective approach for further development of ROS-based therapeutic nanoplatform in cancer therapy.Xuan Gao Jing Feng Kehong Lv Yifei Zhou Ruohao Zhang Shuyan Song Hongjie Zhang Daguang Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:1
