1A model and experimental study of phosphate uptake kinetics in algae:Considering surface adsorption and P-stress显示文摘Phosphorus is an important limiting nutrient in many ecosystems.Consequently,there is increasing interest on phosphate uptake and algal growth due to the increasing frequency and magnitude of algal blooms induced by eutrophication.The co-existence of surface adsorbed and intracellular phosphorus pools indicate that phosphate uptake by phytoplankton is,to some extent,a two-stage kinetic process.However,almost all previous uptake models considered the internal uptake stage only and ignored the possible impact of surface adsorption.In this article,a two-stage kinetic uptake model considering both surface adsorption and P-stress on phosphate uptake by algae was constructed and compared to conventional one-stage models,based on experimental data on short-term uptake kinetics of a green algae S.quadricauda.Results indicated that with suitable parameters,the two-stage uptake model not only fit the experimental data better,but also gave more reasonable and realistic explanations to the phosphate uptake process.The results are meaningful as surface-adsorption of phosphate may affect the uptake process of phosphate and assist in understanding realistic phosphate uptake kinetics in phytoplankton.Bo Yao Beidou Xi Chunming Hu Shouliang Huo Jing Su Hongliang Liu 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2:15
2Complement C3 activation regulates the production of tRNA-derived fragments Gly-tRFs and promotes alcohol-induced liver injury and steatosis显示文摘Complement is known to play a role in alcoholic fatty liver disease (AFLD), but the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood, thereby constraining the development of a rational approach for therapeutic intervention in the complement system. C3 deficiency has been shown to impart protective effects against ethanol-induced hepatic steatosis and inflammation. Here we demonstrate a protection effect in wild-type mice by treatment with CR2-Crry, a specific inhibitor of C3 activation. The expression of glycine transfer (t) RNA-derived fragments (Gly-tRFs) is upregulated in ethanol-fed mice and inhibition of Gly-tRFs in vivo decreases chronic ethanol feeding-induced hepatosteatosis without affecting inflammation. The expression of Gly-tRF was downregulated in C3-deficient or CR2-Crry-treated mice, but not in C5-deficient mice;Gly-tRF expression was restored by the C3 activation products C3a or Asp (C3a-des-Arg) via the regulation of CYP2E1. Transcriptome profiling of hepatic tissues showed that Gly-tRF inhibitors upregulate the expression of sirtuin1 (Sirt1) and subsequently affect downstream lipogenesis and β-oxidation pathways. Mechanistically, Gly-tRF interacts with AGO3 to downregulate Sirt1 expression via sequence complementarity in the 3′ UTR. Notably, the expression levels of C3d, CYP2E1 and Gly-tRF are upregulated, whereas Sirt1 is decreased in AFLD patients compared to healthy controls. Collectively, our findings suggest that C3 activation products contribute to hepatosteatosis by regulating the expression of Gly-tRF. 3Formability of AA 2219-O sheet under quasi-static,electromagnetic dynamic,and mechanical dynamic tensile loadings显示文摘The mechanism by which electromagnetic forming(EMF)enhances the formability of metals is unclear owing to the coupling effect of multi-physics fields.In the present work,the associated formability improvement mechanisms were qualitatively categorized and illustrated.This was realized by comparing the formability of fully annealed 2219 aluminum alloy(AA 2219-O)sheet under quasi-static(QS),electromagnetic dynamic(EM),and mechanical dynamic(MD)tensile loadings.It was found that the forming limit of AA 2219-O sheet under EM tensile loading was significantly(45.4%)higher than that under QS tensile loading,and was marginally(3.7%–4.3%)higher than that under MD tensile loading.In addition,the forming limit of AA 2219-O sheet demonstrated a negative dependency on the strain rate within the range of the dynamic tensile tests conducted.The deformation conditions common to EM and MD tensile loadings were responsible for the significant formability improvement compared with QS tensile loading.In particular,the inertial effect was dominant.The different deformation conditions that distinguish EM tensile loading from MD tensile loading resulted in the marginal improvement in formability.This was caused by the absence of a sustaining contact force at the later deformation stage and the lower strain rate.The body force exerted little influence on the formability improvement,and the thermal effect under the two dynamic tensile loadings was negligible.Hongliang Su Liang Huang Jianjun Li Wang Xiao Hui Zhu Fei Feng Hongwei Li Siliang Yan 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,11:13
4Assessment of the sources and transformations of nitrogen in a plain river network region using a stable isotope approach显示文摘The great spatial and temporal variability in hydrological conditions and nitrogen(N)processing introduces large uncertainties to the identification of N sources and quantifying N cycles in plain river network regions. By combining isotopic data with chemical and hydrologic measurements, we determined the relative importance of N sources and biogeochemical N processes in the Taige River in the East Plain Region of China. The river was polluted more seriously by anthropogenic inputs in winter than in summer. Manure and urban sewage effluent were the main nitrate(NO-3) sources, with the nitrification of N-containing organic materials serving as another important source of NO-3. In the downstream, with minor variations in hydrological conditions, nitrification played a more important role than assimilation for the decreasing ammonium(NH+4-N) concentrations.The N isotopic enrichment factors(ε) during NH+4utilization ranged from- 13.88‰ in March to- 29.00‰ in July. The ratio of the increase in δ18O and δ15N of river NO-3in the downstream was 1.04 in January and 0.92 in March. This ratio indicated that NO-3assimilation by phytoplankton was responsible for the increasing δ15N and δ18O values of NO-3in winter. 6Spatial heterogeneity of lake eutrophication caused by physiogeographic conditions:An analysis of 143 lakes in China显示文摘In order to identify the effect of geographic characteristics on the variations of nutrient concentrations and the utilization efficiency of nutrients by phytoplankton, data from 143 lakes, from 2008 to 2010, including three very different types of topography, i.e., the first topography ladder(FTL), second topography ladder(STL), and third topography ladder(TTL), were statistically analyzed. Lakes in the FTL and STL, located at high elevation(above1000 m) and low longitudes(lower than 105° E), were sporadically oligotrophic, whereas lakes in the TTL were almost all mesotrophic and eutrophic. The trophic level index(TLI)became higher with the rise of longitude. Two turning points(5 and 15°C) on the curve of TLI as function of the average annual temperature(AAT) corresponded with the AAT in different lake regions in the STL and TTL. Because the responses of TLI to AAT differ significantly, there were variations of nutrient and algal biomass concentrations in different lake regions in the same type of topography ladder. According to the differences in utilization efficiency of total nitrogen or total phosphorus by phytoplankton, China could be partitioned into six lake regions. 7The D253N Mutation in the Polymerase Basic 2 Gene in Avian Influenza(H9N2) Virus Contributes to the Pathogenesis of the Virus in Mammalian Hosts显示文摘Mutations in the polymerase basic 2(PB2) gene of avian influenza viruses are important signatures for their adaptation to mammalian hosts. Various adaptive mutations have been identified around the 627 and nuclear localization sequence(NLS) domains of PB2 protein, and these mutations contribute to the replicative ability of avian influenza viruses.However, few studies have focused on adaptive mutations in other regions of PB2. In this study, we investigated the functional roles of the D253N mutation in PB2 in an H9N2 virus. This mutation was found to affect an amino acid residue in the middle domain of the PB2 protein. The virus with the D253N mutation showed higher polymerase activity and transiently increased viral replication in human cells. However, the mutant did not show significant differences in viral replication in the respiratory tract of mice upon infection. 8Polymer-derived SiBCN ceramic pressure sensor with excellent sensing performance显示文摘Pressure measurement with excellent stability and long time durability is highly desired,especially at high temperature and harsh environments.A polymer-derived silicoboron carbonitride(SiBCN)ceramic pressure sensor with excellent stability,accuracy,and repeatability is designed based on the giant piezoresistivity of SiBCN ceramics.The SiBCN ceramic sensor was packaged in a stainless steel case and tested using half Wheatstone bridge with the uniaxial pressure up to 10 MPa.The SiBCN ceramic showed a remarkable piezoresistive effect with the gauge factor(K)as high as 5500.The output voltage of packed SiBCN ceramic sensor changes monotonically and smoothly versus external pressure.The as received SiBCN pressure sensor possesses features of short response time,excellent repeatability,stability,sensitivity,and accuracy.Taking the excellent high temperature thermo-mechanical properties of polymer-derived SiBCN ceramics(e.g.,high temperature stability,oxidation/corrosion resistance)into account,SiBCN ceramic sensor has significant potential for pressure measurement at high temperature and harsh environments.Gang SHAO Junpeng JIANG Mingjie JIANG Jie SU Wen LIU Hailong WANG Hongliang XU Hongxia LU Rui ZHANG 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,3:3
9Full-parameter vision navigation based on scene matching for aircrafts显示文摘Vision navigation based on scene matching between real-time images and a reference image has many advantages over the commonly used inertial navigation system(INS),such as no cumulative measurement errors for long-endurance flight.Recent developments in vision navigation are mainly used for partial navigation parameters measurements,such as the position and the relative velocity,which cannot meet the requirements of completely autonomous navigation.We present the concept,principle and method of full-parameter vision navigation(FPVN)based on scene matching.The proposed method can obtain the three-dimensional(3D)position and attitude angles of an aircraft by the scene matching for multiple feature points instead of a single point in existing vision navigations.Thus,FPVN can achieve the geodetic position coordinates and attitude angles of the aircraft and then the velocity vector,attitude angular velocity and acceleration can be derived by the time differentials,which provide a full set of navigation parameters for aircrafts and unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs).The method can be combined with the INS and the cumulative errors of the INS can be corrected using the measurements of FPVN rather than satellite navigation systems.The approach provides a completely autonomous and accurate navigation method for long-endurance flight without the help of satellites.YU QiFeng SHANG Yang LIU XiaoChun LEI ZhiHui LI Xiang ZHU XianWei LIU XiaoLin YANG Xia SU Ang ZHANG XiaoHu ZHANG HongLiang 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,5:3

11A model to determine the lake nutrient standards for drinking water sources in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau Ecoregion, China显示文摘Lake eutrophication (LE) has become an increasingly severe environmental problem recently. However, there has been no nutrient standard established for LE control in many developing countries such as China. This study proposes a structural equation model to assist in the establishment of a lake nutrient standard for drinking water sources in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau Ecoregion (Yungui Ecoregion), China. The modeling results indicate that the most predictive indicator for designated use-attainment is total phosphorus (TP) (total effect =-0.43), and chlorophyll a (Chl-a) is recommended as the second important indicator (total effect =-0.41). The model is further used for estimating the probability of use-attainment associated with lake water as a drinking water source and various levels of candidate criteria (based on the reference conditions and the current environmental quality standards for surface water). It is found that these candidate criteria cannot satisfy the designated 100% use-attainment. To achieve the short-term target (85% attainment of the designated use), TP and Chl-a values ought to be less than 0.02 mg/L and 1.4 μg/L, respectively. 12Space charge dynamics in epoxy resin under voltage polarity reversal at various temperatures显示文摘Epoxy resin has been used to cast the core of the dry‐type high voltage direct current bushings and can accumulate space charge under high electric fields at high temperatures,which is believed to be a potential threat to the safe operation of dry bushings,especially under polarity reversal.In this study,results of a study of the evolution of space charge and electric field distribution in epoxy resin,under polarity reversal at 10 and 20 kV/mm,and at temperatures between 40 and 100°C,are presented.The results show that the space charge dynamics in epoxy resin during the test were different at various temperatures.At tem-peratures no more than 60°C,space charge accumulation within the samples was not obvious.Instead,a low‐frequency dielectric relaxation process maybe occurs during the polarity reversal,which made the charge peaks on the electrodes after the reversal were slightly smaller than those before the reversal.At temperatures no less than 80°C,considering that the applied electric field has little effect on the barrier reductions of the traps within the samples,the space charge dynamics were mainly governed by a thermally activated process,and the depths of the deepest occupied traps were obtain by analysing the transient processes.Peng Liu Hongliang Zhang Siyu Zhang Xialin Su Zongliang Xie Zongren Peng 2021High Voltage2021,6,5:1

14Molecular phylogeny reveals the non-monophyly of tribe Yinshanieae (Brassicaceae) and description of a new tribe, Hillielleae显示文摘The taxonomic treatment within the unigeneric tribe Yinshanieae(Brassicaceae) is controversial, owing to differences in generic delimitation applied to its species. In this study, sequences from nuclear ITS and chloroplast trn L-F regions were used to test the monophyly of Yinshanieae, while two nuclear markers(ITS, ETS) and four chloroplast markers(trnL-F, trn H-psbA, rps16, rpL32-trnL) were used to elucidate the phylogenetic relationships within the tribe. Using maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood, and Bayesian inference methods, we reconstructed the phylogeny of Brassicaceae and Yinshanieae. The results show that Yinshanieae is not a monophyletic group, with the taxa splitting into two distantly related clades: one clade contains four taxa and falls in Lineage I, whereas the other includes all species previously placed in Hilliella and is embedded in the Expanded Lineage II. The tribe Yinshanieae is redefined, and a new tribe, Hillielleae, is proposed based on combined evidence from molecular phylogeny, morphology, and cytology.Hongliang Chen Tao Deng Jipei Yue Ihsan A. 16Cracking behavior of newly-developed high strength eutectic high entropy alloy matrix composites manufactured by laser powder bed fusion显示文摘A novel AlCoCrFeNi2.1 eutectic high entropy alloy(EHEA)composite doped with SiC particles was designed and fabricated by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF).Its microstructure characteristic,tensile properties,and metallurgical defects,with an emphasis on cracking behavior,have been investigated.The results showed that the addition of SiC particles into the AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1)matrix enabled the development of a{100}texture and highly elongated columnar grains,which were the main contributors to mechanical behavior anisotropy.The ultimate tensile strength of 1466±26 MPa and elongation of 9%±3%achieved in the as-deposited EHEA composite surpassed those of advanced metal alloys subjected to additive manufacturing processes.Unfortunately,severe horizontal and longitudinal cracks,as well as a few micro-cracks were observed in the as-deposited bulk samples.Micro-cracks were verified to be associated with the aggregation of carbon and oxide particles.They formed in the final stage of solidification owing to insufficient liquid feeding ability and solidification contraction.The formation of macroscopic cracking was induced by the tensile stress accumulations at sample edges,and the stress concentration areas where microcracks and pores were located were the predominant propagation location.This work provides guidelines for defect control in SiC-reinforced EHEA,assisting in the high-performance design and integrated manufacturing of EHEA composite components.Yinuo Guo Haijun Su Hongliang Gao Zhonglin Shen Yuan Liu Di Zhao Peixin Yang Quandong Hu Zhuo Zhang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,32:1

19Experimental Study on Product Characteristics of Typical Pulverized Coal Preheated by a Self-Preheating Burner显示文摘As the major primary energy source in China,coal has been proved to be capable to improve its physical and chemical characteristics by the pretreatment of the self-preheating burner.In this study,the effects of altering operating conditions including preheating temperature(T_(p))and primary air equivalence ratio(λ_(p))on preheating characteristics of three typical pulverized coal were investigated on a bench-scale test rig.The high-temperature coal gas compositions along the axis of the riser and at the outlet of the self-preheating burner were measured,and the coal char and coal tar produced in the preheating process were collected and analyzed separately.The results indicated that with the significant release of volatile and the occurrence of chemical reactions,cracks and micropores emerged on the surface of the particles,making the pore structure on the surface more developed,and T_(p)had the most significant effect on the structure of coal particles.Additionally,there were evident differences in the corresponding operating conditions when the preheating characteristics of the three typical coal reached optimally.And preheating had the strongest influence on the degree of anthracite modification.With respect to coal tar,the increase of T_(p)andλ_(p)further promoted its secondary cracking and oxidation,resulting in a decrease in production yield.In this study,for bituminous coal and lignite,a large amount of coal tar were produced during preheating and the highest production yields could reach 5.74%and 6.15%,respectively.While for anthracite,the production yield was intensely low due to its own coal properties,all below 1.02%.ZHANG Jinyang OUYANG Ziqu DING Hongliang SU Kun 2023Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,5:0
20Effects of Interaction between Axial and Radial Secondary Air and Reductive Intensity in Reduction Region on Combustion Characteristics and NO_(x) Emission of Coal Preheated by a Self-Preheating Burner显示文摘The study focused on the effects of the interaction between axial and radial secondary air and the reductive intensity in reduction region on combustion characteristics and NO_(x) emission in a 30 kW preheating combustion system.The results revealed that the interaction and reductive intensity influenced the combustion in the down-fired combustor(DFC) and NO_(x) emission greatly.For the temperature distribution,the interaction caused the position of the main combustion region to shift down as R_(2-12)(ratio of axial secondary air flow to radial secondary air flow) decreased or λ_(2)(total secondary air ratio) increased,and there was the interplay between both of their effects.As R_(3-12)(ratio of first-staged tertiary air flow to second-staged tertiary air flow)increased,the decrease in the reductive intensity also caused the above phenomenon,and the peak temperature increased in this region.For the NO_(x) emission,the interaction affected the NO_(x) reduction adversely when λ_(2) or R_(2-12) was higher,and the range of this effect was larger,so that the NO_x emission increased obviously as they increased.The decrease in the reductive intensity caused the NO_(x) emission increased under the homogeneous reduction mechanism,while was unchanged at a high level under the heterogeneous reduction mechanism.For the combustion efficiency,the interaction improved the combustion efficiency as λ_(2) increased when R_(2-12) was lower,while reduced it as λ_(2) increased excessively when R_(2-12) was higher.The proper decrease in the reductive intensity caused the combustion efficiency increased obviously,while was hardly improved further when the intensity decreased excessively.In this study,the lowest NO_(x) emission was only 41.75 mg/m^(3) without sacrificing the combustion efficiency by optimizing the interaction and reductive intensity.SU Kun DING Hongliang OUYANG Ziqu ZHANG Jinyang ZHU Shujun 2024Journal of Thermal Science2024,33,1:0
