| 1 | Microbialite of anoxic condition from Permian-Triassic transition in Guizhou,China显示文摘Spherical microfossils are present in the Hindeodus parvus zone of the Lower Triassic in Ziyun,Guizhou Province. They generally range from 0.15 to 0.30 mm across,with micritic wall and filled by micro-sparry calcites,and are evenly scattered in micritic matrix. Their abundance makes the rock as-signed to microbialites. The accompanied organisms include ostracods and algal mat,but no gastro-pods or bivalves. Presence of small (<7 μm) pyrite framboids indicates that this bed formed in anoxic conditions. In some sections,this bed is overlain and underlain by tidal-flat micritic limestone with microgastropods and small burrows. Occurrence only in deposits on reef top indicates that the micro-bial organism was benthic,and needed sunlight in life. The size of the microbial fossil exceeds that of any bacteria or cyanobacteria. Thus,it does not belong to these two phyla. It may belong to lower green algae,and is assigned to a new species in a new genus,Ziyunosphaeridium sinensis gen. et sp. nov. Up to now,the rocks described as microbialites from the Permian-Triassic transition include six types: (1) porous micritic limestone such as that descried from Japan by Sano and Nakashima (1997),(2) limestone with rich globular microfossils such as that described from the Nanpanjiang Basin in China by Lehrmann (1999),(3) dendroidal limestone such as that described from the vicinity of Chongqing by Kershaw et al. (1999),(4) spherical microbial limestone adapted to anoxic environments described from Ziyun,Guizhou reported in this paper,(5) limestone with cyanobacterial fossils such as that described by Wang et al. (2005),and (6) stromatolites. | 2 | Extinction pattern of reef ecosystems in latest Permian显示文摘Studies of two Permian-Triassic boundary (PTB) sections on top of a Changhsingian reef in Ziyun, Guizhou Province, southwestern China indicate that the end-Permian mass extinction of reef ecosystems occurred in two steps. The first step is the extinction of all stenotropic organisms such as calcisponges and fusulinids in the latest Permian (in the Clarkina yini conodont zone). The biota after the first extinction is simple, comprising eurytropic organisms including microgastropods, ostracods, and some small burrowing organisms, or only algal mats. At the beginning of the Early Triassic (i.e. the beginning of the Hindeodus parvus zone), the environments became anoxic, and the microgastropod dominated biota or algal mats disappeared, which constituted the second episode of the mass extinction. The biota after the second extinction comprises small spherical microproblematica, some kinds of specialized organisms tolerant of anoxic or oxygen-poor conditions. As the environments became oxygenated, the specialized biota was replaced by a microgastropod-dominated simple biota. When the environmental conditions improved further, the simple biota was replaced by a diverse biota with normal-sized ammonoids, bivalves, and gastropods, representing restoration of normal oceanic condi- tions. Comparison with PTB sections in Dolomites, Italy and Meishan, Zhejiang Province shows that non-reef ecosystems had a similar first episode of mass extinction in the latest Permian. | 3 | Corrosion behavior of Al_(0.4)CoCu_(0.6)NiSi_(0.2)Ti_(0.25) high-entropy alloy coating via 3D printing laser cladding in a sulphur environment显示文摘High-entropy alloys(HEAs) are of great interest in materials science and engineering communities owing to their unique phase structure.HEAs are constructed with five or more principal alloying elements in equimolar or near-equimolar ratios.Therefore,they can derive their performance from multiple principal elements ratherthan a single element.In this work,three-dimensional printing laser cladding was applied to produce an Al_(0.4)CoCu_(0.6)NiSi_(0.2)Ti_(0.25) HEA coating.The experimental results confirmed that the laser cladding could be used to produce a thin coating of 120 μm in thickness.In the high-temperature laser cladding process,some Fe elements diffused from the substrate to the coating,forming a combination of face-centred cubic and body-centred cubic phase structures.The HEA coating metallurgically bonded well with the substrate.Owing to the increased dislocation density and number of grain boundaries,the HEA coating was harder and had a stronger hydrophobicity than X70 steel.The electrochemistry results showed that the HEA coating had better corrosion resistance than X70 steel.Aluminium oxides formed on the surface of the HEA coating had a certain protective effect.However,because of the laser cladding,the HEA coating generated cracks.In future work,the laser cladding technology will be improved and heat treatment will be implemented to prevent formation of cracks. | Hongxia Wan Dongdong Song Xiaolei Shi Yong Cai Tingting Li Changfeng Chen | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,1: | 6 |

| 8 | Inducing the SnO2-based electron transport layer into NiFe LDH/NF as efficient catalyst for OER and methanol oxidation reaction显示文摘In an electrocatalyst with a heterointerface structure,the different interfaces can efficiently adjust the catalyst’s conductivity and electron arrangement,thereby enhancing the activity of the electrocatalyst.Ultrathin and smaller Ni Fe LDH was successfully constructed on the surface of SnOnanosheet supported NF by layer by layer assembly,and exhibits lower overpotential of 234 mV at a current density of 10 m A cm,which only increases by 6.4%even at a high current density of 100 mA cm.The excellent OER activity of catalyst is attributed to the contribution of the semiconductor SnOelectron transport layer.Through experiments and characterization,3d structure SnOnanosheets control the growth of ultra-thin nickel-iron,the hierarchical interface between SnOand Ni Fe LDH can change the electron arrangement around the iron and nickel active centers at the interface,resulting the valence states of iron slightly increased and Nicontent increased.The result will promote the oxidation of water.Meanwhile,the SnOsemiconductor as electron transport layer is conducive to trapping electrons generated in oxidation reaction,promoting electrons transferring from the Ni Fe LDH active center to the Ni substrate more quickly,and enhance the activity of Ni Fe LDH.It also shows excellent activity in an electrolyte solution containing 0.5 M methanol and 1 M KOH,and only 1.396 V(vs.RHE)is required to drive a current density of 10 mA cm. | Changwu Wan Jie Jin Xinyu Wei Shizhuo Chen Yi Zhang Tenglong Zhu Hongxia Qu | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,29: | 1 |
