2African Swine Fever Virus Protein E199L Promotes Cell Autophagy through the Interaction of PYCR2显示文摘African swine fever virus(ASFV),as a member of the large DNA viruses,may regulate autophagy and apoptosis by inhibiting programmed cell death.However,the function of ASFV proteins has not been fully elucidated,especially the role of autophagy in ASFV infection.One of three Pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductases(PYCR),is primarily involved in conversion of glutamate to proline.Previous studies have shown that depletion of PYCR2 was related to the induction of autophagy.In the present study,we found for the first time that ASFV E199 L protein induced a complete autophagy process in Vero and HEK-293 T cells.Through co-immunoprecipitation coupled with mass spectrometry(Co IP-MS)analysis,we firstly identified that E199 L interact with PYCR2 in vitro.Importantly,our work provides evidence that E199 L down-regulated the expression of PYCR2,resulting in autophagy activation.Overall,our results demonstrate that ASFV E199 L protein induces complete autophagy through interaction with PYCR2 and down-regulate the expression level of PYCR2,which provide a valuable reference for the role of autophagy during ASFV infection and contribute to the functional clues of PYCR2.Sheng Chen Xinheng Zhang Yu Nie Hongxin Li Weiguo Chen Wencheng Lin Feng Chen Qingmei Xie 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,2:7
3Spontaneous apoptosis of cells in therapeutic stem cell preparation exert immunomodulatory effects through release of phosphatidylserine显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)-mediated immunomodulation has been harnessed for the treatment of human diseases,but its underlying mechanism has not been fully understood.Dead cells,including apoptotic cells have immunomodulatory properties.It has been repeatedly reported that the proportion of nonviable MSCs in a MSC therapeutic preparation varied from 5-50%in the ongoing clinical trials.It is conceivable that the nonviable cells in a MSC therapeutic preparation may play a role in the therapeutic effects of MSCs.We found that the MSC therapeutic preparation in the present study had about 5%dead MSCs(DMSCs),characterized by apoptotic cells.Namely,1×10^(6) MSCs in the preparation contained about 5×10^(4) DMSCs.We found that the treatment with even 5×10^(4) DMSCs alone had the equal therapeutic effects as with 1×10^(6) MSCs.This protective effect of the dead MSCs alone was confirmed in four mouse models,including concanavalin A(ConA)-and carbon tetrachloride(CCI4)-induced acute liver injury,LPS-induced lung injury and spinal cord injury.We also found that the infused MSCs died by apoptosis in vivo.Furthermore,the therapeutic effect was attributed to the elevated level of phosphatidylserine(PS)upon the injection of MSCs or DMSCs.The direct administration of PS liposomes(PSLs)mimic apoptotic cell fragments also exerted the protective effects as MSCs and DMSCs.The Mer tyrosine kinase(MerTK)deficiency or the knockout of chemokine receptor C-C motif chemokine receptor 2(CCR2)reversed these protective effects of MSCs or DMSCs.These results revealed that DMSCs alone in the therapeutic stem cell preparation or the apoptotic cells induced in vivo may exert the same immunomodulatory property as the'living MSCs preparation'through releasing PS,which was further recognized by MerTK and participated in modulating immune cells.Xuemei He Weiqi Hong Jingyun Yang Hong Lei Tianqi Lu Cai He Zhenfei Bi Xiangyu Pan Yu Liu Lunzhi Dai Wei Wang Canhua Huang Hongxin Deng Xiawei Wei 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,8:6
4A novel cancer vaccine with the ability to simultaneously produce anti-PD-1 antibody and GM-CSF in cancer cells and enhance Th1-biased antitumor immunity显示文摘Tumor escape from immune-mediated destruction has been associated with immunosuppressive mechanisms that inhibit T-cell activation.A promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy is to disrupt key pathways regulating immune tolerance,such as program death-1(PD-1/PD-L1)pathway in the tumor environment.However,the determinants of response to anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibodies(mAbs)treatment remain incompletely understood.In murine models,PD-1 blockade alone fails to induce effective immune responses to poorly immunogenic tumors,but is successful when combined with additional interventions,such as cancer vaccines.Novel cancer vaccines combined with antibody may offer promising control of cancer development and progression.In this investigation,we generated a novel tumor cell vaccine simultaneously expressing anti-PD-1 mAbs and granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor(GM-CSF)in CT26 colon cancer and B16-F10 melanoma.The antitumor effect of the vaccine was verified by therapeutic and adoptive animal experiments in vivo.The antitumor mechanism was analyzed using Flow cytometry,Elispot and in vivo intervention approaches.The results showed that tumor cell vaccine secreting PD-1 neutralizing antibodies and GM-CSF induced remarkable antitumor immune effects and prolonged the survival of tumor-bearing animals compared with animals treated with either PD-1 mAbs or GM-CSF alone.Antitumor effects and prolonged survival correlated with strong antigen-specific T-cell responses by analyzing CD11c^(+)CD86^(+)DC,CD11b^(+)F4/80^(+)MΦcells,increased ratio of Teff/Treg in the tumor microenvironment,and higher secretion levels of Th1 proinflammatory cytokines in serum.Furthermore,the results of ELISPOT and in vivo blocking strategies further confirmed that the antitumor immune response is acquired by CD4 and CD8 T immune responses,primarily dependent on CD4 Th1 immune response,not NK innate immune response.The combination of PD-1 blockade with GM-CSF secretion potency creates a novel tumor cell vaccine immunotherapy,affording significantly improved antitumor responses by releasing the state of immunosuppressive microenvironment and augmenting the tumor-reactive T-cell responses.Hongwei Tian Gang Shi Qin Wang Yiming Li Qianmei Yang Chunlei Li Guoyou Yang Min Wu Qian Xie Shuang Zhang Yang Yang Rong Xiang Dechao Yu Yuquan Wei Hongxin Deng 2016Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2016,1,1:3
5Efficient construction of provably secure steganography under ordinary covert channels显示文摘Steganography is the science of hiding information within seemingly harmless messages or innocent media.This paper addresses the problems of efficient construction of secure steganography in ordinary covert channels.Without relying on any sampling assumption,we provide a general construction of secure steganography under computational indistinguishability.Our results show that unpredictability of mapping function in covertext sampler is indispensable for secure stegosystem on indistinguishability against adaptive chosen hiddentext attacks.We completely prove that computationally secure steganography can be constructed on pseudorandom function and unbiased sampling function under ordinary covert channels,that is,its security is inversely proportional to the sum of errors of these two functions,as well as the legth of hiddentexts.More importantly,our research is not dependent upon pseudorandom ciphertext assumption of cryptosystem or perfect sampling assumption.Hence,our results are practically useful for construction and analysis of secure stegosystems.ZHU Yan YU MengYang HU HongXin AHN Gail-Joon ZHAO HongJia 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,7:2
6The impact of carbon emission trading policy on firms’green innovation in China显示文摘This study aims to examine the green innovation effect of the carbon emissions pilot policy in China.First,using the difference-in-differences method and regressions of instrumental variables using the data from Chinese listed firms,we verify that the policy promotes green innovation among regulated firms and is more pronounced among state-owned enterprises,firms in the eastern region,and those with lower financing constraints.Furthermore,this positive effect spreads downstream relative to the regulated firms through input–output linkages,but reduces green innovation to upstream firms.Accordingly,such diffusion of innovation is achieved through the price mechanism.The results necessitate the introduction of various derivatives to mobilize the market to reduce the speculative volatility of carbon prices.In addition,relevant supporting policies must be established to encourage corporate innovation to reduce the crowding-out effect owing to emission reduction and the nonmarket factors.Hongxin Yu Yaohui Jiang Zhaowen Zhang Wen-Long Shang Chunjia Han Yuanjun Zhao 2022Financial Innovation2022,8,1:2

8Fair Efficiency Comparisons of Decoy-State Quantum Key Distribution Protocols显示文摘Taking the schemes based on different formulas of secure key rate as examples, we give a fair comparison between typical protocols under Universal composable(UC) security frame. Through analyzing the relationship of security parameters in post-processing stage and final secure key rate, we achieve the unified quantification between protocols based on Gottesman-Lo-L¨utkenhausPreskill(GLLP) formula and the ones under UC security.Based on the above research, the impact of different sending lengths and secure parameters on secure key rate is investigated. Besides, we analyze the conditions of fair comparison, and for the first time we give a fair comparison between the protocols based on GLLP formula and smooth entropy. 10Heterogeneous catalytic ozonation by amorphous boron for degradation of atrazine in water显示文摘As one of the most promising and practical advanced oxidation processes(AOPs),the catalytic ozonation is triggered by the active components of catalyst,which are usually derived from metals or metal oxides.To avoid the metal pollution from catalyst,here the amorphous boron(A-boron)is used as a metalfree catalyst for catalytic ozonation to produce free radicals for effective degradation of atrazine(ATZ),the world-widely used herbicide and also a widespread pollutant in environment.A-boron exhibits an outstanding performance for catalytic ozonation to remove ATZ from water.As A-boron is introduced into ozonation,the degradation efficiency in 10 min is promoted to 97.1%,much higher than that of 15.1%under ozonation.The mechanism is that the B-B bonds and internal suboxide B in A-boron serve as the main active sites to donate electrons to accelerate ozone decomposition to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS),including·O_(2)^(-)and^(1)O_(2),and further enhance ATZ degradation via ROS reactions.Moreover,the A-boron is still highly active with a degradation efficiency of ATZ over 95%in 10 min even after four successive cycles.This work shows A-boron could be an alternative for the active components of metal or metal oxide in catalytic ozonation.Zirong Song Jie Li Hongxin Xu Yu Li Yaxiong Zeng Baohong Guan 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:1

12Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. 13Novel ladder patch monopole antenna for UWB application显示文摘A novel printed microstrip-fed ladder patch monopole antenna is presented for ultrawide band(UWB) application. The antenna consists of rectangular patch elements ladder arrayed at the both sides of the microstrip-fed line on a printed circuit board(PCB) and a rectangular ground plane. The antenna parameters of ladder number N, the rectangular patches geometry of ladder elements, the ladder step length and the length of ground plane are studied to obtain optimized antenna performances. The successfully designed, implemented and measured antenna has a compact size of 12 mm×12 mm and operation frequency band from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz with voltage standing wave ratio(VSWR) less than 2. 18A novel electro-Fenton hybrid system for enhancing the interception of volatile organic compounds in membrane distillation desalination显示文摘Membrane distillation(MD)is a promising alternative desalination technology,but the hydrophobic membrane cannot intercept volatile organic compounds(VOCs),resulting in aggravation in the quality of permeate.In term of this,electro-Fenton(EF)was coupled with sweeping gas membrane distillation(SGMD)in a more efficient way to construct an advanced oxidation barrier at the gas-liquid interface,so that the VOCs could be trapped in this layer to guarantee the water quality of the distillate.During the so-called EF-MD process,an interfacial interception barrier containing hydroxyl radical formed on the hydrophobic membrane surface.It contributed to the high phenol rejection of 90.2% with the permeate phenol concentration lower than 1.50 mg/L.Effective interceptions can be achieved in a wide temperature range,even though the permeate flux of phenol was also intensified.The EF-MD system was robust to high salinity and could electrochemically regenerate ferrous ions,which endowed the long-term stability of the system.This novel EF-MD configuration proposed a valuable strategy to intercept VOCs in MD and will broaden the application of MD in hypersaline wastewater treatment.Hongxin Liu Kuiling Li Kunpeng Wang Zhiyong Wang Zimou Liu Sichao Zhu Dan Qu Yu Zhang Jun Wang 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4:0

20Anisotropic Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction protected by D_(2d) crystal symmetry in two-dimensional ternary compounds显示文摘Magnetic skyrmions,topologically protected chiral spin swirling quasiparticles,have attracted great attention in fundamental physics and applications.Recently,the discovery of two-dimensional(2D)van der Waals(vdW)magnets have aroused great interest due to their appealing physical properties.Moreover,both experimental and theoretical works have revealed that isotropic Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction(DMI)can be achieved in 2D magnets or ferromagnet-based heterostructures.However,2D magnets with anisotropic DMI haven’t been reported yet.Here,via using first-principles calculations,we unveil that anisotropic DMI protected by D_(2d)crystal symmetry can exist in 2D ternary compounds MCuX_(2)(M:3d transition metal(TM),X:group VIA).Interestingly,by using micromagnetic simulations,we demonstrate that ferromagnetic(FM)antiskyrmions,FM bimerons,antiferromagnetic(AFM)antiskyrmions,and AFM bimerons can be realized in the MCuX_(2)family.Our discovery opens up an avenue to creating antiskyrmions and bimerons with anisotropic DMI protected by D_(2d)crystal symmetry in 2D magnets.Yonglong Ga Qirui Cui Yingmei Zhu Dongxing Yu Liming Wang Jinghua Liang Hongxin Yang 2022npj Computational Materials2022,,1:0
