As the two kernel points of the middleware, the overlay-based distributed grid resource management mechanism is proposed, and the policy-based distributed access control mechanism with the capability of automatic negotiation of the access control policy and trust management and negotia- tion is also discussed in this paper. | 2 | Neodymium isotopes distribution and transport in the central North Pacific deep water显示文摘Radiogenic Neodymium (Nd) isotopes in the central North Pacific deep water have been generally interpreted as reflecting Pacific arcs input according to previous studies,while little is known about the specific path and mode of radiogenic Nd from these arcs to deep water.In this study,Nd isotopic data from surface scrapings of 17 Fe-Mn crusts from the central North Pacific deep water (around 20°N) have been reported.Based on these data together with recently published data on dissolved Nd isotopes in seawater for this region,we propose that radiogenic Nd isotopes in North Pacific Intermediate Water (NPIW 300-800 m) from the western Pacific margin is an important source for the central North Pacific deep water,while the surface water of this area has little influence on dominating deep water Nd isotopes.Such a view emphasizes the role of vertical mixing and advection of the marginal ocean currents in balancing Nd isotopes in central North Pacific deep water,and helps to understand oceanic Nd cycling.Moreover,the values of Nd from surface scrapings of Fe-Mn crusts are relatively homogenous,with an average value of about-3.4,which is higher than that of modern seawater (~-3.9).This difference over short time scales reflects the quick evolution of Nd isotopes in central North Pacific deep water. | EN TianYu LING HongFei HU Rong | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,21: | 4 |
| 3 | Design optimization of a wind turbine gear transmission based on fatigue reliability sensitivity显示文摘Fatigue failure of gear transmission is one of the key factors that restrict the performance and service life of wind turbines.One of the major concerns in gear transmission under random loading conditions is the disregard of dynamic fatigue reliability in conventional design methods.Various issues,such as overweight structure or insufficient fatigue reliability,require continuous improvements in the reliability-based design optimization(RBDO)methodology.In this work,a novel gear transmission optimization model based on dynamic fatigue reliability sensitivity is developed to predict the optimal structural parameters of a wind turbine gear transmission.In the model,the dynamic fatigue reliability of the gear transmission is evaluated based on stress–strength interference theory.Design variables are determined based on the reliability sensitivity and correlation coefficient of the initial design parameters.The optimal structural parameters with the minimum volume are identified using the genetic algorithm in consideration of the dynamic fatigue reliability constraints.Comparison of the initial and optimized structures shows that the volume decreases by 3.58%while ensuring fatigue reliability.This work provides new insights into the RBDO of transmission systems from the perspective of reliability sensitivity. | Genshen LIU Huaiju LIU Caichao ZHU Tianyu MAO Gang HU | 2021 | Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2021,16,1: | 4 |
| 4 | LIN28 coordinately promotes nucleolar/ribosomal functions and represses the 2C-like transcriptional program in pluripotent stem cells显示文摘LIN28 is an RNA binding protein with important roles in early embryo development,stem cell differentiation/re-programming,tumorigenesis and metabolism.Previous studies have focused mainly on its role in the cytosol where it interacts with Let-7 microRNA precursors or mRNAs,and few have addressed LIN28's role within the nucleus.Here,we show that LIN28 displays dynamic temporal and spatial expression during murine embryo development.Maternal LIN28 expression drops upon exit from the 2-cell stage,and zygotic LIN28 protein is induced at the forming nucleolus during 4-cell to blas-tocyst stage development,to become dominantly expressed in the cytosol after implantation.In cultured pluripotent stem cells(PSCs),loss of LIN28 led to nucleolar stress and activation of a 2-cell/4-cell-like transcriptional program characterized by the expression of endogenous retrovirus genes.Mechanistically,LIN28 binds to small nucleolar RNAs and rRNA to maintain nucleolar integrity,and its loss leads to nucleolar phase separation defects,ribosomal stress and activation of P53 which in turn binds to and activates 2C transcription factor Dux.LIN28 also resides in a complex containing the nucleolar factor Nucleolin(NCL)and the transcrip-tional repressor TRIM28,and LIN28 loss leads to reduced occupancy of the NCL/TRIM28 complex on the Dux and rDNA loci,and thus de-repressed Dux and reduced rRNA expression.Lin28 knockout cells with nucleolar stress are more likely to assume a slowly cycling,translationally inert and anabolically inactive state,which is a part of previously unappreciated 2C-like transcriptional program.These findings elucidate novel roles for nucleolar LIN28 in PSCs,and a new mechanism linking 2C program and nucleolar functions in PSCs and early embryo development. | Zhen Sun Hua Yu Jing Zhao Tianyu Tan Hongru Pan Yuqing Zhu Lang Chen Cheng Zhang Li Zhang Anhua Lei Yuyan Xu Xianju Bi Xin Huang Bo Gao Longfei Wang Cristina Correia Ming Chen Qiming Sun Yu Feng Li Shen Hao Wu Jianlong Wang Xiaohua Shen George Q.Daley Hu Li Jin Zhang | 2022 | Protein & Cell2022,13,7: | 4 |

| 6 | Very Short-term Spatial and Temporal Wind Power Forecasting: A Deep Learning Approach显示文摘In power systems that experience high penetration of wind power generation,very short-term wind power forecast is an important prerequisite for look-ahead power dispatch.Conventional univariate wind power forecasting methods at presentonly utilize individual wind farm historical data.However,studies have shown that forecasting accuracy canbe improved by exploring both spatial and temporal correlations among adjacent wind farms.Current research on spatial-temporal wind power forecasting is based on relatively shallow time series models that,to date,have demonstrated unsatisfactory performance.In this paper,a convolution operation is used to capture the spatial and temporal correlations among multiple wind farms.A novel convolution-based spatial-temporal wind power predictor(CSTWPP)is developed.Due to CSTWPP’s high nonlinearity and deep architecture,wind power variation features and regularities included in the historical data can be more effectively extracted.Furthermore,the online training of CSTWPP enables incremental learning,which makes CSTWPP non-stationary and in conformity with real scenarios.Graphics processing units(GPU)is used to speed up the training process,validating the developed CSTWPP for real-time application.Case studies on 28 adjacent wind farms are conducted to show that the proposed model can achieve superior performance on 5-30 minutes ahead wind power forecasts. | Tianyu Hu Wenchuan Wu Qinglai Guo Hongbin Sun Libao Shi Xinwei Shen | 2020 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,2: | 3 |

| 8 | Enhanced damping capacity of ferromagnetic Fe-Ga alloys by introducing structural defects显示文摘The irreversible motion of magnetic domain walls in ferromagnets can dissipate a large portion of the elastic energy,and the associated damping capacity is proportional to the magnetostriction constant.In contrast,here we found that the damping capacity of the large magnetostriction Fe-Ga alloys can be enhanced by 2-3 times through introducing structural defects including interfacial dislocations and stacking faults,despite that these defects deteriorate the magnetostriction.These structural defects were introduced by aging the BCC(body-centered-cubic)solution-treated precursor,for which the formation of mechanically harder FCT(face-centered-tetragonal)and/or FCC(face-centered-cubic)phases can result in high-density partial dislocations at the semi-coherent phase interfaces and quasi-periodically stacked nano-layer substructure inside the FCC variants.The structural defects act as extra damping sources besides the magnetic domain walls because the structural accommodation of the semi-coherent phase interfaces between BCC and FCT/FCC nanoprecipitates with different elastic moduli and the nano-layer substructure towards long-range ordered periodical stacking can dissipate a large portion of mechanical energy.These findings suggest that introducing structural defects provides fresh freedom to design high damping ferromagnetic materials. | Ruihua Qiao Junming Gou Tianzi Yang Yiqun Zhang Feng Liu Shanshan Hu Tianyu Ma | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,25: | 3 |
| 9 | Geochronological and Geochemical Constraints on the Petrogenesis of Early Paleoproterozoic(2.40–2.32 Ga) Nb-Enriched Mafic Rocks in Southwestern Yangtze Block and Its Tectonic Implications显示文摘Recent geological survey has identified the Early Paleoproterozoic meta-mafic intrusions in the southwestern Yangtze Block.We present geochronological,whole-rock geochemical and Nd isotopic data for these meta-mafic rocks to better address the tectonic evolution of the Yangtze Block during the Early Paleoproterozoic Period.Geochronological data show that the meta-mafic rocks have zircon ages of 2 395-2 316 Ma.They have high TiO_2 contents of 1.40 wt.%-3.66 wt.% and Nb concentrations of 13.7 ppm-45.5 ppm,thus aregrouped as Nb-enriched mafic rocks.These mafic rocks are characterized by tholeiitic compositions with enrichment of LREEs and LILEs,and can be divided into two groups.Group 1 samples display E-MORB-like geochemical characteristics.Group 2 samples have positive ENd(t) values of 4.0-5.0.Geochemical data indicate that all meta-mafic rocks were likely derived from a depleted asthenospheric mantle.REE modeling indicates lower degree of partial melting for Group 2 samples(3%-10%) relative to Group 1 samples(15%-20%).Taking into account contemporaneous post-collisional granitoids in southwestern Yangtze Block,we propose that these meta-mafic rocks were formed in a post-collisional extension setting.These meta-mafic rocks can be compared with those in Africa,South America and Europe,and might be linked with the Arrowsmith orogenic belt. | Guichun Liu Xin Qian Jing Li Jian-Wei Zi Tianyu Zhao Qinglai Feng Guangyan Chen Shaobin Hu | 2020 | Journal of Earth Science2020,31,1: | 3 |
| 10 | The influence of meteorology and phenology on net ecosystem exchange in an eastern Siberian boreal larch forest显示文摘Aims Boreal forests play an important role in the global carbon cycle.Compared with the boreal forests in North America and Europe,relatively few research studies have been conducted in Siberian boreal forests.Knowledge related to the role of Siberian forests in the global carbon balance is thus essential for a full understanding of global carbon cycle.Methods This study investigated the net ecosystem exchange(NEE)during growing season(May-September)in an eastern Siberian boreal larch forest for a 3-year period in 2004-2006 with contrasting meteorological conditions.Important FindingsThe study found that the forest served as a carbon sink during all of the 3 studied years;in addition,the meteorological conditions essentially influenced the specific annual value of the strength of the carbon sinks in each year.Although 2005 was the warmest year and much wetter than 2004,2005 also featured the greatest amount of ecosystem respiration,which resulted in a minimum value of NEE.The study also found that the phenological changes observed during the three study years had a relatively small effect on annual NEE.Leaf expansion was 26 days earlier in 2005 than in the other 2 years,which resulted in a longer growing season in 2005.However,the NEE in 2005 was counterbalanced by the large rate of ecosystem respiration that was caused by the higher temperatures in the year.This study showed that meteorological variables had larger influences on the interannual variations in NEE for a Siberian boreal larch forest,as compared with phenological changes.The overall results of this study will improve our understanding of the carbon balance of Siberian boreal larch forests and thus can help to forecast the response of these forests to future climate change. | Bao-Lin Xue Qinghua Guo Yongwei Gong Tianyu Hu Jin Liu Takeshi Ohta | 2016 | Journal of Plant Ecology2016,9,5: | 3 |

| 17 | Fiber guiding at the Dirac frequency beyond photonic bandgaps显示文摘Light trapping within waveguides is a key practice of modern optics,both scientifically and technologically.Photonic crystal fibers traditionally rely on total internal reflection(index-guiding fibers)or a photonic bandgap(photonic-bandgap fibers)to achieve field confinement.Here,we report the discovery of a new light trapping within fibers by the so-called Dirac point of photonic band structures.Our analysis reveals that the Dirac point can establish suppression of radiation losses and consequently a novel guided mode for propagation in photonic crystal fibers.What is known as the Dirac point is a conical singularity of a photonic band structure where wave motion obeys the famous Dirac equation.We find the unexpected phenomenon of wave localization at this point beyond photonic bandgaps.This guiding relies on the Dirac point rather than total internal reflection or photonic bandgaps,thus providing a sort of advancement in conceptual understanding over the traditional fiber guiding.The result presented here demonstrates the discovery of a new type of photonic crystal fibers,with unique characteristics that could lead to new applications in fiber sensors and lasers.The Dirac equation is a special symbol of relativistic quantum mechanics.Because of the similarity between band structures of a solid and a photonic crystal,the discovery of the Dirac-point-induced wave trapping in photonic crystals could provide novel insights into many relativistic quantum effects of the transport phenomena of photons,phonons,and electrons. | Kang Xie Wei Zhang Allan D Boardman Haiming Jiang Zhijia Hu Yong Liu Ming Xie Qiuping Mao Lei Hu Qian Li Tianyu Yang Fei Wen Erlei Wang | 2015 | Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1: | 1 |
| 18 | Experimental Investigation of a Linear Cascade with Large Solidity Using Pressure Sensitive Paint and Dual-Camera System显示文摘Pressure Sensitive Paint(PSP)technique has been increasingly applied to the experimental research of aerodynamics and thermodynamics due to its strengths of non-contact,high resolution results and large coverage area,etc.However,rarely has this technique been successfully used to the study of internal flow such as compressor cascade,since narrow flow passages would heavily restrict the acquisition of PSP images.In this paper,PSP technique was used to study the pressure distribution on a linear compressor cascade with large solidity of 2.3,where the view of recording camera can be heavily blocked due to adjacent blade surfaces.To help get integrated PSP images of the internal flow passage,dual camera system along with image processing tools like 3D reconstruction and image integration were adopted.The results showed that with the aid of such assistance,image results with good quality and readability could be obtained.Meanwhile,pressure data given by PSP were compared with data from traditional way of pressure taps and showed good consistency.Massive results of the entire cascade passage surface were given with different inlet Mach numbers and incidence angles.The results showed that PSP technique can integrally measure cascade tunnel of large solidity with the help of dual-camera system. | GAO Limin YANG Guanhua GAO Tianyu LI Ruiyu HU Xiaoquan | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2: | 1 |
| 19 | Factors affecting poplar wetwood characteristics显示文摘Wet wood is an abnormal phenomenon in growing trees,which adversely affects growth,subsequent wood processing and economic values of wood products.In this study,the influences of factors such as clones,afforestation methods,site conditions and climate conditions on the characteristics of poplar wetwood were studied through field investigations in 27 clones from 48 sample plots in 28 counties.Results showed that the incidences of wetwood were almost 100%in all plots.Ratios of wetwood area among the48 plots differed from 15.1 to 90.2%.Wetwood area ratios,moisture contents and pH differed significantly between the 27 clones.Wetwood area ratios of the clones ranged from18.7 to 62.3%.Ratios of wetwood areas were positively correlated with wet wood moisture content and pH,tree age,and negatively correlated with pH of sap wood.The repeatability of wet wood area ratios was 0.52,moderately controlled by genetics.Wetwood moisture content and pH were highly controlled by genetics,indicated by the repeatability of 0.91 and 0.89,respectively.There were significant differences in wetwood area ratios,moisture content and pH between different site conditions,afforestation methods,and geographical regions.Sloping land had the lowest wetwood area ratios and moisture content among four types of sites.Afforestation by direct seeding and rooted cuttings had the lowest wetwood area ratios and moisture content,respectively.In the three geographical regions,the Yellow River Basin had the lowest wetwood values of all three factors. | Qilin Zhang Xingyi Hu Qian Hu Jiawei Yang Tianyu Zhao Kebing Du | 2023 | Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,5: | 1 |
