2Advances in fabrication of ceramic corundum abrasives based on sol–gel process显示文摘Corundum abrasives with good chemical stability can be fabricated into various free abrasives and bonded abrasive tools that are widely used in the precision machining of various parts.However,these abrasives cannot satisfy the machining requirements of difficult-to-machine materials with high hardness,high strength,and strong wearing resistance.Although superhard abrasives can machine the above-mentioned materials,their dressing and manufacturing costs are high.By contrast,ceramic corundum abrasives fabricated by sol–gel method is a costeffective product between conventional and superhard abrasives.Ceramic corundum abrasives exhibit self-sharpening and high toughness.In this review,the optimization methods of ceramic corundum abrasive properties are introduced from three aspects:precursor synthesis,particle shaping,and sintering.Firstly,the functional mechanism of seeds and additives on the microstructural and mechanical properties of abrasives is analyzed.Specifically,seeds can reduce the phase transition temperature and improve fracture toughness.The grain size and uniformly dense structure can be controlled by applying an appropriate amount of multicomponent additives.Then,the urgent need of engineering application and machinability of special shape ceramic corundum abrasives is reviewed,and three methods of abrasive shaping are summarized.The micromold replication technique is highly advanced and can be used to prepare functional abrasives.Additionally,the influence of a new sintering method,namely,two-step sintering technique,on the microstructural and mechanical performance of ceramic corundum abrasives is summarized.Finally,the challenge and developmental trend of the optimization of ceramic corundum abrasives are prospected.Baoteng HUANG Changhe LI Yanbin ZHANG Wenfeng DING Min YANG Yuying YANG Han ZHAI Xuefeng XU Dazhong WANG Sujan DEBNATH Muhammad JAMIL Hao Nan Li Hafiz Muhammad ALI Munish Kumar GUPTA Zafar SAID 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,6:11
3A SEMI-ANALYTICAL AND SEMI-NUMERICAL METHOD FOR SOLVING 2-D SOUND-STRUCTURE INTERACTION PROBLEMS显示文摘Based on the transfer matrix method and the virtual source simulation technique,this paper proposes a novel semi-analytical and semi-numerical method for solving 2-D sound-structure interaction problems under a harmonic excitation. Within any integration segment,as long as its length is small enough, along the circumferential curvilinear coordinate, the nonhomogeneous matrix differential equation of an elastic ring of complex geometrical shape can be rewritten in terms of the homogeneous one by the method of extended homogeneous capacity proposed in this paper. For the exterior fluid domain, the multi-circular virtual source simulation technique is adopted. The source density distributed on each virtual circular curve may be ex-panded as the Fourier''s series. Combining with the inverse fast Fourier transformation, a higher accuracy and efficiency method for solving 2-D exterior Helmholtz's problems is presented in this paper. In the aspect of solution to the coupling equations, the state vectors of elastic ring induced by the given harmonic excitation and generalized forces of coefficients of the Fourier series can be obtained respectively by using a high precision integration scheme combined with the method of extended homogeneous capacity put forward in this paper. According to the superposition principle and compatibility conditions at the interface between the elastic ring and fluid, the algebraic equation of system can be directly constructed by using the least square approximation. Examples of acoustic radiation from two typical fluid-loaded elastic rings under a harmonic concentrated force are presented. 4Distributions of arsenic and essential elements in pinna of arsenic hyperaccumulator Pteris vittata L.显示文摘The distributions of arsenic and 6 essential elements in the pinna of As hyperaccumulator, Pteris vittata L., were studied using synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence (SRXRF). Significant correlation between the distribution and mobility of the elements revealed that SRXRF study on the elemental distribution was feasible to inspect the transportations of elements in plants. The distribution of As in the pinna showed that As had great abilities to be transported in xylem vessels and from xylem to mesophyll. 6HOPF BIFURCATION OF A NONLINEAR RESTRAINED CURVED PIPE CONVEYING FLUID BY DIFFERENTIAL QUADRATURE METHOD显示文摘This paper proposes a new method for investigating the Hopf bifurcation of a curved pipe conveying fluid with nonlinear spring support. The nonlinear equation of motion is derived by forces equilibrium on microelement of the system under consideration. The spatial coordinate of the system is discretized by the differential quadrature method and then the dynamic equation is solved by the Newton-Raphson method. The numerical solutions show that the inner fluid velocity of the Hopf bifurcation point of the curved pipe varies with different values of the parameter,nonlinear spring stiffness. Based on this, the cycle and divergent motions are both found to exist at specific fluid flow velocities with a given value of the nonlinear spring stiffness. 8Mucus production stimulated by IFN-AhR signaling triggers hypoxia of COVID-19显示文摘Silent hypoxia has emerged as a unique feature of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).In this study,we show that mucins are accumulated in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)of COVID-19 patients and are upregulated in the lungs of severe respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)-infected mice and macaques.We find that induction of either interferon(IFN)-P or IFN-y upon SARS-CoV-2 infection results in activation of aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)signaling through an IDO-Kyn-dependent pathway,leading to transcriptional upregulation of the expression of mucins,both the secreted and membrane-bound,in alveolar epithelial cells.Consequently,accumulated alveolar mucus affects the blood-gas barrier,thus inducing hypoxia and diminishing lung capacity,which can be reversed by blocking AhR activity.These findings potentially explain the silent hypoxia formation in COVID-19 patients,and suggest a possible intervention strategy by targeting the AhR pathway.Yuying Liu Jiadi Lv Jiangning Liu Man Li Jing Xie Qi Lv Wei Deng Nannan Zhou Yabo Zhou Jiangping Song Peng Wang Chuan Qin Wei-Min Tong Bo Huang 2020Cell Research2020,30,12:5

11Eutectic nucleation in Al-25wt.% Si alloy through DSC显示文摘Eutectic nucleation in hypereutectic Al-25wt.%Si alloy with the addition of P was studied by calculating the activation energy and nucleation work. The results indicate that P refinement, which can decrease the activation energy as well as nucleation work of eutectic solidification, can increase the eutectic nucleation frequency of Al-25wt.%Si alloy, so the addition of P can refine the eutectic structures of hypereutectic Al-Si alloys. 12ANALYSIS ON BUCKLING AND POSTBUCKLING OF DELAMINATION IN 3D COMPOSITES显示文摘In this paper, the problem of axisymmetric buckling and postbuckling of a circular thin-film delamination bridged by through-thickness fiber tows in 3D composites is presented. An iterativeprocedure based on Taylor’s series expansion is used to generate a family of nondimensionalized post-buckling solutions of the above problem by yon Karman’s nonlinear plate theory. Attention is fo-cused, herein, on the effects of the bridge force of through-thickness fibers on the buckling and post-buckling behavior of the delamination. It is found that fiber bridge not only increases the ability of re-sisting delamination buckling and postbuckling, but also brings on the jump of the delamination deflec-tion mode during the postbuckling phase. 15Experimental and Simulation Studies on Cold Welding Sealing Process of Heat Pipes显示文摘Sealing quality strongly affects heat pipe performance, but few studies focus on the process of heat pipe sealing. Cold welding sealing technology based on a stamping process is applied for heat pipe sealing. The bonding mechanism of the cold welding sealing process(CWSP) is investigated and compared with the experimental results obtained from the bonding interface analysis. An orthogonal experiment is conducted to observe the effects of various parameters, including the sealing gap,sealing length, sealing diameter, and sealing velocity on bonding strength. A method with the utilization of saturated vapor pressure inside a copper tube is proposed to evaluate bonding strength. A corresponding finite element model is developed to investigate the effects of sealing gap and sealing velocity on plastic deformation during the cold welding process. Effects of various parameters on the bonding strength are determined and it is found that the sealing gap is the most critical factor and that the sealing velocity contributes the least effect. The best parameter combination(A_1B_3C_1D_3, with a 0.5 mm sealing gap, 6 mm sealing length, 3.8 mm sealing diameter, and 50 mm/s sealing velocity) is derived within the experimental parameters. Plastic deformation results derived from the finite element model are consistent with those from the experiment. 17Mechanism and microstructure of Eu(Ⅲ) interaction with γ-MnOOH by a combination of batch and high resolution EXAFS investigation显示文摘In this paper,the macroscopic interaction method and high resolution EXAFS technique with a bent crystal analyzer were combined to study Eu(Ⅲ)interaction mechanism and microstructure withγ-MnOOH as a function of pH.The results indicated that Eu(Ⅲ)interaction withγ-MnOOH was apparently dependent on pH but independent of ionic strength,suggesting the formation of inner-sphere surface complexation for Eu(Ⅲ)ontoγ-MnOOH.Results of EXAFS analysis indicated that Eu was surrounded by^9.0 O atoms in first coordination shell at REu–O≈2.40,and second shell of Mn atoms at REu–Mn≈3.60 was observed for the three adsorption samples.These findings suggested formation of a bidentate surface complex with Eu(Ⅲ)bonding by edge sharing to MnO6-octahedron on γ-MnOOH surface.Both the macroscopic interaction data and the molecular level evidence of Eu(Ⅲ)microstructure at the γ-MnOOH-water interface should be factored into better understanding the fate and mobility of Eu(Ⅲ)and related radionuclides in the natural soil and water environment.GAO Xing SHENG GuoDong HUANG YuYing 2013Science China Chemistry2013,56,11:3

19Structural engineering of cathodes for improved Zn-ion batteries显示文摘Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs) are attracting considerable attention because of their low cost,high safety and abundant anode material resources.However,the major challenge faced by aqueous ZIBs is the lack of stable and high capacity cathode materials due to their complicated reaction mechanism and slow Zn-ion transport kinetics.This study reports a unique 3 D ’flower-like’ zinc cobaltite(ZnCo_(2)O_(4-x)) with enriched oxygen vacancies as a new cathode material for aqueous ZIBs.Computational calculations reveal that the presence of oxygen vacancies significantly enhances the electronic conductivity and accelerates Zn^(2+) diffusion by providing enlarged channels.The as-fabricated batteries present an impressive specific capacity of 148.3 mAh g^(-1) at the current density of 0.05 A g^(-1),high energy(2.8 Wh kg^(-1)) and power densities(27.2 W kg^(-1)) based on the whole device,which outperform most of the reported aqueous ZIBs.Moreover,a flexible solid-state pouch cell was demonstrated,which delivers an extremely stable capacity under bending states.This work demonstrates that the performance of Zn-ion storage can be effectively enhanced by tailoring the atomic structure of cathode materials,guiding the development of low-cost and eco-friendly energy storage materials.Jiajia Huang Yuying Li Ruikuan Xie Jianwei Li Zhihong Tian Guoliang Chai Yanwu Zhang Feili Lai Guanjie He Chuntai Liu Tianxi Liu Dan J.L.Brett 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,7:3
20Neutrophil-derived heparin binding protein triggers vascular leakage and synergizes with myeloperoxidase at the early stage of severe burns(With video)显示文摘Background:Burn shock caused by vascular leakage is one of the main causes of high mortality in severe burn injury.However,the pathophysiological mechanism of vascular leakage is still unclear.The purpose of this study was to explore the molecular mechanism of vascular leakage in the early stage of severe burn and provide a new target for the treatment of severe burns.Methods:Neutrophils were isolated from human peripheral blood by magnetic beads sorting.ELISA was used to detect neutrophil-derived granule proteins and glycocalyx injury products in plasma.The vascular leakage and neutrophil movement were assessed by in vivo laser confocal imaging in mice,and high-quality video were provided.Adhesion-related molecules were investigated by qRT-PCR.The damage to glycocalyx of mice vascular endothelial cellswas observed by transmission electron microscope and scanning electron microscope.Proteomic analysis,flow cytometry and immunofluorescence were used to further study the relationship between human peripheral blood neutrophil-derived hypochlorite(HOCl)and CD44 of human vascular endothelial cells.Results:In this study,we found that rapidly increasing activated neutrophils secrete heparin binding protein(HBP)andmyeloperoxidase(MPO)after severe burn injury.Increased HBP triggers vascular leakage with synergy of MPO,results in systemic edema and burn shock.Furthermore,we found that the MPO catalytic product HOCl but not MPO triggers CD44 extracellular domain shedding from vascular endothelial cells to damage the glycocalyx.Damage to the glycocalyx results in firm adhesion of neutrophils and increases vascular leakage.However,MPO inhibitors partially protect the glycocalyx of vascular endothelial cells.The combination of HBP and MPO inhibitors markedly reduces vascular leakage and systemic edema in the early stage of severe burns.Conclusions:Taken together,these data reveal that neutrophil-derived HBP and MPO play an important synergies role in triggering vascular leakage at the early stage of severe burns.Targeted intervention in these two biomolecules may introduce new strategies for helping to reduce large amount of fluid loss and subsequent burn shock.Lu Liu Yiming Shao Yixuan Zhang Yunxi Yang Jiamin Huang Linbin Li Ran Sun Yuying Zhou Yicheng Su Bingwei Sun 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:3
