| 1 | Molecular dynamics study on the relationships of modeling,structural and energy properties with sensitivity for RDX-based PBXs显示文摘In this paper,a primary model is established for MD(molecular dynamics) simulation for the PBXs(polymer-bonded explosives) with RDX(cyclotrimethylene trinitramine) as base explosive and PS as polymer binder.A series of results from the MD simulation are compared between two PBX models,which are represented by PBX1 and PBX2,respectively,including one PS molecular chain having 46 repeating units and two PS molecular chains with each having 23 repeating units.It has been found that their structural,interaction energy and mechanical properties are basically consistent between the two models.A systematic MD study for the PBX2 is performed under NPT conditions at five different temperatures,i.e.,195 K,245 K,295 K,345 K,and 395 K.We have found that with the temperature increase,the maximum bond length(L max) of RDX N N trigger bond increases,and the interaction energy(E N-N) between two N atoms of the N-N trigger bond and the cohesive energy density(CED) decrease.These phenomena agree with the experimental fact that the PBX becomes more sensitive as the temperature increases.Therefore,we propose to use the maximum bond length L max of the trigger bond of the easily decomposed and exploded component and the interaction energy E N-N of the two relevant atoms as theoretical criteria to judge or predict the relative degree of heat and impact sensitivity for the energetic composites such as PBXs and solid propellants. | XIAO JiJun ZHAO Li ZHU Wei CHEN Jun JI GuangFu ZHAO Feng WU Qiang XIAO HeMing | 2012 | Science China Chemistry2012,55,12: | 12 |
| 2 | The characteristic and evolution of coal-forming swamp in Hanshuiquan district,Santanghu Coalfield, Xinjiang,NW China,during the Middle Jurassic: evidence from coal petrography,coal facies and sporopollen显示文摘Santanghu Coalfield is the largest integrated coalfield exploration area in China. The major coal seams developing in Xishanyao Formation (Middle Jurassic) are the high-quality steam coals characterized by large thickness, favorable horizontal continuity and high coal quality. In this paper, twenty-two samples were collected from the three typical boreholes in Hanshuiquan disirict, representing the 11 coal seam sequences (7#,8#,9#,13#, 14#,15#,17#,18#,19#,20#,22#), respectively. The petrographic characteristics of the coal-bearing sequence in Xishanyao Formation were firstly summarized systematicly, and then the coal-forming swamp characteristics and succession mechanism of the coal seam in Xishanyao Formation were defined by analyzing the samples. The maceral composition, structure, geochemical and geophysical characteristics of coal are in eluded in original genetic criteria of coal-forming swamp an alysis. And the composition of coal petrography, maceral and microlithotype are the most frequently used parameters. Coal is composed of microscopic constituents and inorganic substances. The Xishanyao Formation maceral mainly consists of vitrinite (65.74%-97.01 %), inert i nite (1.93%-34%), and the exinite shows the mode of regular change. The coal-forming swamp in Xishanyao Formation possesses the characteristics of mainly marsh, wet forest swamp facies, and shallow water covered forest swamp facies, and a few of coal seams distribute in the deep water covered forest swamp facies. In addition, the sporopollens in Xishanyao Formation are mainly Pinaceae evergreen broad leaf and needle-leaved plants. Osmundaceae, Cyatheaceae and Lygodiaceae, indicating that the warm and humid tropic-subtropical climate conductive to the persistent growth of coal-forming plants in the Middle Jurassic. The coal-forming swamp shows the characteristics of vertically upward fluctuation through the periodic transition. It indicates a shallow-deep-shallow change process of the water covered depth in the swamp. | 5 | Laser-generated thermoelastic acoustic sources and acoustic waves in anisotropic plate显示文摘The effect of anisotropy on the ultrasound wave generation and propagation in the unidirectional fi- ber-reinforced composite plate has been investigated. A quantitative numerical model for the la- ser-generated ultrasound in the thermoelastic regime was presented by using a finite element method. All factors, such as spatial and time distributions of the incident laser beam, optical penetration, ther- mal diffusivity, and source-receiver distance can be taken into account. Numerical results show that the effect on ultrasound waveform of the size of the laser volume source produces strong bipolar longitu- dinal waves and improves the amplitude and directivity of the longitudinal waves. A fiber-reinforced composite material exhibits isotropic or homogenous behavior for ultrasonic wave propagation per- pendicular to the fiber direction. For ultrasonic propagation along the fiber direction, ultrasonic dis- persion resulting from the inhomogeneous nature of the material affects the laser ultrasonic waveforms. | 11 | Understanding Miocene Climate Evolution in Northeastern Tibet: Stable Carbon and Oxygen Isotope Records from the Western Tianshui Basin, China显示文摘To investigate climate evolution during the Miocene, especially during the Middle Miocene climate transition on the northeastern Tibetan Plateau, stable oxygen and carbon isotopes of carbonates from a 288-m-thick lacustrine-fluvial sediment sequence covering the period from 17.1 to 6.1 Ma from Tianshui Basin, China, were analyzed. The relatively low stable oxygen isotope values indicate the prevalence of wet climate conditions during the period of 17.1–13.6 Ma, an interval corresponding to the well-known Middle Miocene Climate Optimum. The interval between 13.6 and 11.0 Ma(i.e., the late Middle Miocene) is marked by a progressive increase in the δ18O values, indicative of a decrease in precipitation, probably linked to the expansion of the East Antarctic Ice Sheet and global cooling since about 14 Ma. The climate in the study area continued to get drier as shown by the enrichment of the heavy oxygen isotope from 11 Ma.
