1Robust superhydrophobic polyurethane sponge functionalized with perfluorinated graphene oxide for efficient immiscible oil/water mixture, stable emulsion separation and crude oil dehydration显示文摘In recent years, graphene oxide(GO), prepared by the modified Hummers’ method, and its derivatives have become a focus of research owing to their outstanding physical and chemical properties and low cost. Drawing inspiration from the mussel protein,a facile and environmentally-friendly method was employed to fabricate superhydrophobic/superoleophilic reduced graphene oxide(rGO) derivative. The preparation comprises two steps: coating GO nanosheets with polydopamine(PDA) and subsequent reaction with 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecanethiol. Due to the excellent adhesive ability of PDA, the resulting f PDA modified rGO nanosheets(rGO-f PDA) were firmly immobilized onto polyurethane(PU) sponge skeleton by a simple drop-coating method. The as-prepared rGO-f PDA functionalized sponge exhibited superhydrophobic behavior with a water contact angle of 162°±2°, high organic adsorption capacity, recyclability and stable oil/water separation behavior under different acidic/alkaline conditions. 2Characterization of a Putative New Semi-Dominant Reduced Height Gene, Rht_NM9, in Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)显示文摘Plant height is an important agronomic trait in cereal crops, and can affect both plant architecture and grain yield. New dwarfing genes are required for improving the genetic diversity of wheat. In this study, a novel dwarf mutant, NM9, was created by treating seeds of the wheat variety NAU9918 with ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS). NM9 showed obvious phenotypic changes, which were distinct from those caused by other dwarfing genes, especially the reduced plant height, increased effective tiller number, and elongated spike and grain length. The reduced plant height in NM9 was attributable to a semi-dominant dwarfing gene Rht_NM9, which was flanked by two closely linked SNP markers, SNP34 and SNP41, covering an 8.86-Mb region on the chromosome arm 2AS. The results of gibberellic acid(GA) sensitivity evaluation, comparative genomics analysis and allelism test indicated that Rht_NM9 was neither allelic to Rht7 and Rht21 nor homoeoallelic to Rht8, so Rht_NM9 was proposed to be a new dwarfing locus on the homoeologous group 2 chromosomes of wheat. 3Transcriptome-Wide Identification and Validation of Reference Genes in Black Rockfish(Sebastes schlegelii)显示文摘The quantitative real-time reverse transcription PCR(qRT-PCR)is a widely used technique to analyze gene expression levels.Selecting a suitable reference gene is a crucial step to obtain an accurate result in qRT-PCR.However,most previous studies on fishes adopted reference genes that were commonly used in mammals without validation.In this study,we utilized 89 transcrip-tome datasets covering early developmental stages and different adult tissues,and carried out transcriptome-wide identification and validation of reference genes in Sebastes schlegelii.Finally,121 candidate reference genes were identified based on four criteria.Eight candidates(METAP2,BTF3L4,EIF5A1,TCTP,UBC,PAIRB,RAB10,and DLD)and four commonly used reference genes in mam-mals(TUBA,ACTB,GAPDH,RPL17)were selected for validation via qRT-PCR and four statistical analysis methods(delta-Ct,Best-Keeper,geNorm,and NormFinder).The results indicated that when the black rockfish are cultured in a general condition,the eight candidate reference genes are more stable than traditional reference genes in mammals,and RAB10,EIF5A1,PAIRB and BTF3L4 are the best reference genes in rockfish.This is the first study to conduct transcriptome-wide identification and validation of reference genes for quantitative RT-PCR in the black rockfish,and lay an important foundation for gene expression analysis in teleost.JIN Chaofan SONG Weihao WANG Mengya QI Jie ZHANG Quanqi HE Yan 2021Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,3:1
4A universal strategy for achieving dual cross-linked networks to obtain ultralong polymeric room temperature phosphorescence显示文摘Efficient polymeric room-temperature phosphorescence(PRTP)with excellent processability and flexibility is highly desirable but still faces formidable challenge.Herein,a general strategy is developed for efficient PRTP through photo-polymerization of phosphor monomers and N-isopropylacrylamide(NIPAM)spontaneously without a crosslinker.Remarkably ultralong lifetime of 3.54 s with afterglow duration time of 25 s and decent phosphorescent quantum efficiency of 13%are achieved.This efficient PRTP has been demonstrated to be derived from the synergistic effect of the covalent and hydrogen bonds networks formed through photo-polymerization of NIPAM.The electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)spectra confirmed that methyl radicals are generated under the irradiation of ultraviolet light and promote the formation of covalent cross-linking networks.This strategy has also been proved to be generalizable to several other phosphor monomers.Interestingly,the polymer films display ultrahigh temperature resistance with long afterglows even at 140℃ and unexampled ultralong lifetime of 2.45 s in aqueous solutions.This work provides a simple and feasible avenue to obtain efficient PRTP.Yifan Niu Yan Guan Chunye Long Chaofan Ren Jiwen Lu Chanjuan Jin Ping Wang Xinghe Fan He-Lou Xie 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,4:0
5Balancing the customization and standardization:exploration and layout surrounding the regulation of the growing field of 3D-printed medical devices in China显示文摘Medical devices are instruments and other tools that act on the human body to aid clinical diagnosis and disease treatment,playing an indispensable role in modern medicine.Nowadays,the increasing demand for personalized medical devices poses a significant challenge to traditional manufacturing methods.The emerging manufacturing technology of three-dimensional(3D)printing as an alternative has shown exciting applications in the medical field and is an ideal method for manufacturing such personalized medical devices with complex structures.However,the application of this new technology has also brought new risks to medical devices,making 3D-printed devices face severe challenges due to insufficient regulation and the lack of standards to provide guidance to the industry.This review aims to summarize the current regulatory landscape and existing research on the standardization of 3D-printed medical devices in China,and provide ideas to address these challenges.We focus on the aspects concerned by the regulatory authorities in 3D-printed medical devices,highlighting the quality system of such devices,and discuss the guidelines that manufacturers should follow,as well as the current limitations and the feasible path of regulation and standardization work based on this perspective.The key points of the whole process quality control,performance evaluation methods and the concept of whole life cycle management of 3D-printed medical devices are emphasized.Furthermore,the significance of regulation and standardization is pointed out.Finally,aspects worthy of attention and future perspectives in this field are discussed.Zhongboyu Jin Chaofan He Jianzhong Fu Qianqian Han Yong He 2022Bio-Design and Manufacturing2022,5,3:0
6Demystifying Ethereum account diversity:observations,models and analysis显示文摘Blockchain platform Ethereum has involved millions of accounts due to its strong potential for providing numerous services based on smart contracts.These massive accounts can be divided into diverse categories,such as miners,tokens,and exchanges,which is termed as account diversity in this paper.The benefit of investigating diversity are multi-fold,including understanding the Ethereum ecosystem deeper and opening the possibility of tracking certain abnormal activities.Unfortunately,the exploration of blockchain account diversity remains scarce.Even the most relevant studies,which focus on the deanonymization of the accounts on Bitcoin,can hardly be applied on Ethereum since their underlying protocols and user idioms are different.To this end,we present the first attempt to demystify the account diversity on Ethereum.The key observation is that different accounts exhibit diverse behavior patterns,leading us to propose the heuristics for classification as the premise.We then raise the coverage rate of classification by the statistical learning model Maximum Likelihood Estimation(MLE).We collect real-world data through extensive efforts to evaluate our proposed method and show its effectiveness.Furthermore,we make an in-depth analysis of the dynamic evolution of the Ethereum ecosystem and uncover the abnormal arbitrage actions.As for the former,we validate two sweeping statements reliably:(1)standalone miners are gradually replaced by the mining pools and cooperative miners;(2)transactions related to the mining pool and exchanges take up a large share of the total transactions.The latter analysis shows that there are a large number of arbitrage transactions transferring the coins from one exchange to another to make a price difference.Chaofan Wang Xiaohai Dai Jiang Xiao Chenchen Li Ming Wen Bingbing Zhou Hai Jin 2022Frontiers of Computer Science2022,16,4:0
