1Impact of Asarum Essential Oils on Physiological and Biochemical Indicators of Two Agricultural Pests显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to study the effects of asarum essential oils on physiological and biochemical indices of two agricultural pests. [Method]Asarum essential oils were extracted by different methods,and their effects on physiological and biochemical indices related to the structure of body wall( chitin and phenoloxidase),the physiological and biochemical indices acting on the nervous system( Acetylcholinesterase),and the physiological and biochemical indices acting on the digestive system( protease,amylase and lipase) of Ostrinia furnacalis and Mythimna seperata were studied. [Result]Asarum essential oils had no effect no chitin content of body wall under the experimental concentration,and had no inhibitory effect but activated effect on polyphenol oxidase activity. Asarum essential oils could act on the nervous system of insect,and had strong inhibitory effect against acetylcholinesterase activity of O. furnacalis larvae,with inhibition rates of 24. 86%- 38. 79%. Asarum essential oils showed a significant activated effect on pepsin activity in midgut,but the activated amplitude became smaller with the prolongation of treatment time. Asarum essential oils showed a significant inhibitory effect on activities of amylase and lipase,indicating that it could play an insecticidal effect by inhibiting activity of amylase and lipase,and it could act on digestive system of insect. 2General and Modular Access to Enantioenriched α-Trifluoromethyl Ketones via Nickel-Catalyzed Reductive Trifluoroalkylation显示文摘The development of new catalytic enantioselective access to stereogenic CF_(3)-containingmolecules is of great interest for expediting the discovery of lead compounds that remain challenging.Specifically,enantioselective synthesis of valuable ketones featuring stereogenicα-CF_(3) has rarely been reported.We devise a general and modular approach to facilely access enantioenrichedα-CF_(3) ketones via nickel-catalyzed reductive cross-coupling of readily available acid chlorides and racemicα-CF_(3) alkyl bromides in an enantioconvergent fashion under mild conditions.This protocol features neighboring directing group-free,high chemoselectivity,excellent functional group tolerance,facile scale-up,and notable amenability to straightforward downstream elaboration toward pharmaceutically useful enantioenrichedβ-trifluoromethylated secondary and tertiary alcohols,thus constituting a reliable,direct,practical,and efficient synthetic alternative to furnish enantiopureα-CF_(3) carbonyls.Interestingly,an appropriate choice of the phosphine ligand as coligand plays an important role in high efficiency and asymmetric induction.Mechanistic studies suggest a radical chain pathway.Dengkai Lin Yongzhi Chen Zhan Dong Pan Pei Haiting Ji Lanzhu Tai Liang-An Chen 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,6:0
3Potential effects of elevated carbon dioxide on leaf-feeding forest insects显示文摘The elevated concentration of atmospheric CO_(2)may result in a decline of leaf nutritional quality(especially N)and an increase in some kinds of defensive secondary components(such as phenolics).The changes in the phytochemistry of trees,combined with the effect of elevated CO_(2)per se,have a potential negative influence on insect herbivores.Here,we review the effect of elevated CO_(2)on the performance of leaf-feeding forest insects at individual-level and commun-ity-level.The elevated CO_(2)per se have little influence on the metabolism of insects.Over half of the tree-insect experimental systems show that the performance of individual insect become poorer under high-CO_(2)grown trees;but the others show that the insects have just little or no response to the treatments.The direction and magnitude of the changes in the performance of insects could be mediated by various factors.The effects of treatment are strongly species-dependent.The mag-nitude of changes in the phytochemistry,the sensitivity and adaptive capacity of insects to the poorer leaf quality,the differences in plant growth conditions and experimental methods,and the mediated effects of other environmental factors(such as soil nutrient availability,light,temperature,O_(3))were all closely related to the final performance of insects.However,the larvae’s consumption usually increased under enriched CO_(2)treatment,which was widely thought to be a compens-atory response to poorer plant quality.The experiments on forest community-level found identically a reduction in herbivory,which was contrary to the results from small-scale experiments.The changes in insect popu-lation and the actual response of consumption by leaf-feeding forest insects under CO_(2)enrichment remain unclear,and more field-based experiments need to be conducted.Xiaowei WANG Lanzhu JI Guiqing WANG Yan LIU 2008Frontiers in Biology2008,3,1:0
