1Chlorobenzene degradation by electro-heterogeneous catalysis in aqueous solution:intermediates and reaction mechanism显示文摘This study was performed to investigate the variables that influence chlorobenzene (CB) degradation in aqueous solution by electro-heterogeneous catalysis.The effects of current density,pH,and electrolyte concentration on CB degradation were determined.The degradation effciency of CB was almost 100% with an initial CB concentration of 50 mg/L,current density 15 mA/cm2,initial pH 10,electrolyte concentration 0.1 mol/L,and temperature 25°C after 90 min of reaction.Under the same conditions,the degradation effciency of CB was only 51% by electrochemical (EC) process,which showed that electro-heterogeneous catalysis was more effcient than EC alone.The analysis results of Purge-and-Trap chromatography-mass spectrometry (P&T/GC/MS) and ion chromatography (IC) indicated that in the reaction process,the initial .OH attack could occur at the C-Cl bond of CB,yielding phenol and biphenyl with the release of Cl-.Further oxidation of phenol and biphenyl produced ρ-Vinylbenzoic acid and hydroquinol.Finally,the compounds were oxidized to butenedioic acid and other small-molecule acids.Jiade WANG Jianmeng CHEN 2008Journal of Environmental Sciences2008,20,11:10
2Efficient degradation of chlorobenzene in a non-thermal plasma catalytic reactor supported on CeO_2/HZSM-5 catalysts显示文摘Chlorobenzene removal was investigated in a non-thermal plasma reactor using CeO_2/HZSM-5catalysts.The performance of catalysts was evaluated in terms of removal and energy efficiency.The decomposition products of chlorobenzene were analyzed.The results show that CeO_2/HZSM-5 exhibited a good catalytic activity,which resulted in enhancements of chlorobenzene removal,energy efficiency,and the formation of lower amounts of by-products.With regards to CO_2 selectivity,the presence of catalysts favors the oxidation of by-products,leading to a higher CO_2 selectivity.With respect to ozone,which is considered as an unavoidable by-product in air plasma reactors,a noticeable decrease in its concentration was observed in the presence of catalysts.Furthermore,the stability of the catalyst was investigated by analyzing the evolution of conversion in time.The experiment results indicated that CeO_2/HZSM-5 catalysts have excellent stability:chlorobenzene conversion only decreased from 78%to 60%after 75 hr,which means that the CeO_2/HZSM-5 suffered a slight deactivation.Some organic compounds and chlorinated intermediates were adsorbed or deposited on the catalysts surface as shown by the results of Fourier Transform Infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy,scanning electron microscope(SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS) analyses of the catalyst before and after the reaction,revealing the cause of catalyst deactivation.Liying Jiang Guofeng Nie Runye Zhu Jiade Wang Jianmeng Chen Yubo Mao Zhuowei Cheng Willam A.Anderson 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,5:8
3A Constitutive Model of Granite Shear Creep under Moisture显示文摘Previous constitutive models of granite shear creep have two limitations:(1) although moisture greatly affects granite shear creep behavior, currently there are no constitutive models that include this factor;(2) there are also no models that include an acceleration stage. This paper presents an improved Burgers constitutive model with the addition of a damage parameter to characterize the moisture effect and uses a nonlinear relation equation between stress and strain for inclusion as the acceleration stage. The damage parameter is determined from granite creep experiment under four different moisture contents(0%, 0.22%, 0.49%, and 0.79%). The nonlinear relation equation is obtained by fitting a dataset of stain versus time under five different loading stages. 4Dual-wavelength bidirectional pumped high-power Raman fiber laser显示文摘In this paper, we reported both the experimental demonstration and theoretical analysis of a Raman fiber laser based on a master oscillator–power amplifier configuration. The Raman fiber laser adopted the dual-wavelength bidirectional pumping configuration, utilizing 976 nm laser diodes and 1018 nm fiber lasers as the pump sources. A 60-m-long25/400 μm ytterbium-doped fiber was used to convert the power from 1070 to 1124 nm, realizing a maximum power output of 3.7 kW with a 3 dB spectral width of 6.8 nm. Moreover, we developed a multi-frequency model taking into consideration the Raman gain spectrum and amplified spontaneous emission. The calculated spectral broadening of both the forward and backward laser was in good agreement with the experimental results. 6Mechanism and kinetics of 2-chlorophenol decomposition using coupled ultrasound and electrocatalysis显示文摘A coupled ultrasound/electrocatalysis(US/EC) process was used to enhance the decomposition effi-ciency of organics.The synergetic kinetics and the mechanism of 2-chlorophenol(2-CP) decomposi-tion with coupled US/EC were studied.It was found that in a US/EC process 2-CP is attacked by active radicals(such as hydroxyl radicals) to form 2-chloro-p-benzoquinone,and the latter is oxidized to simple organic acids when the ring is opened.The enhancement factor expressed by the apparent rate constant of 2-CP decomposition with coupled US/EC is 1.324 at a current density of 20 mA·cm-2,an ultrasonic frequency of 20 kHz,an ultrasonic intensity of 0.27 W·cm-2,and a 2-CP initial concentration of 200 mg·L-1,which means that a synergetic effect exists.A model derived from Langmuir adsorption theory of solid surface and reaction kinetics equations can describe exactly the decomposition of 2-CP with coupled US/EC.The numerical values are in good agreement with the experimental data.The model parameters are associated with reaction conditions.WANG JiaDe ZHU RunYe CHEN Xia CHEN JianMeng 2008Science China Chemistry2008,51,6:2

13Vibration-induced acceleration of infiltration in loess显示文摘Coupled effects of railway vibration, rainfall, and drying-wetting cycles contribute to new types of loess disasters such as the collapse and vibration-induced settlement of the railway subgrade, loess mass disintegration, and slope sliding,during the large-scale construction and operation of high-speed or heavy-haul railways in China. This has significant consequences for railways that require millimetre-level deformation control, seriously threatening railway operation and people's lives. Therefore, for the first time, 'five vibration-induced effects' on loess subjected to vibration, water immersion, and drywetting cycles are discussed including the vibration-induced acceleration of cracking, infiltration, disintegration, sliding, and subsidence. In this paper, the vibration-induced acceleration of infiltration is discussed mainly. The response of loess to locomotive vibration along railways was determined using field sampling and data processing. The dominant frequency of locomotive vibration are 18-22 Hz and the maximum amplitude is 0.4 mm. Tests regarding the vibration-induced acceleration of the permeability were conducted on intact loess using a newly developed vibration permeability apparatus. The results reveal that the vibration accelerates the water permeability and increases the water saturation of loess. The permeability coefficient of saturated loess under vibration is ~1.5-20 times of that without vibration, reaching a maximum at a vibration frequency of 20 Hz.Vibration-induced infiltration tests were carried out on a loess column and the vibration-induced acceleration of water infiltration, wetting front evolution, and air outflow were analysed. The vibration-induced acceleration of infiltration strongly depends on the dry density, vibration frequency, and vibration amplitude. 15Targeted delivery of celastrol to glomerular endothelium and podocytes for chronic kidney disease treatment显示文摘The etiology of chronic kidney disease(CKD)is complex and diverse,which could be briefly categorized to glomerular-or tubularoriginated.However,the final outcomes of CKD are mainly glomerular sclerosis,endothelial dysfunction and injury,and chronic inflammation.Thus,targeted delivery of drugs to the glomeruli in order to ameliorate glomerular endothelial damage may help alleviate CKD and help enrich our knowledge.The herb tripterygium wilfordii shows therapeutic effect on kidney disease,and celastrol(CLT)is one of its active ingredients but with strong toxicity.Therefore,based on the unique structure and pathological characteristics of the glomerulus,we designed a targeted delivery system named peptides coupled CLT-phospholipid lipid nanoparticles(PC-PLNs)to efficiently deliver CLT to damaged endothelial cells and podocytes in the glomerulus for CKD treatment and research.PC-PLNs could effectively inhibit inflammation,reduce endothelial damage,alleviate CKD severity,and reduce the toxicity of CLT.We also studied the mechanism of CLT in the treatment of nephropathy and found that CLT can increase the level of NO by increasing eNOS while inhibiting the expression of VCAM-1,thus provides an anti-inflammatory effect.Therefore,our study not only offered an efficient CKD drug formulation for further development,but also provided new medical knowledge about CKD.Qingsi Wu Jiading Wang Yuanfang Wang Ling Xiang Yulu Tan Jiaxing Feng Zhirong Zhang Ling Zhang 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:1
