| 2 | Effect of mesopores on solidification of sirolimus self-microemulsifying drug delivery system显示文摘To investigate the influence of mesopores towards the solidification of self-microemulsifying drug delivery system(SMEDDS), mesoporous silica nanospheres(MSNs) and Santa Barbara Amorphous-15(SBA-15) were compared. The MSNs had hydrodynamic size of 195.35 ± 5.82 nm, and pore diameter of 2.70 nm. The SBA-15 had hydrodynamic size of 2312.19 ± 106.93 nm, and pore diameter of 10.91 nm. The MSNs and SBA-15 showed similar loading efficiency of SMEDDS containing sirolimus(SRL). However,MSNs had higher drug dissolution and in vivo absorption, with relative bioavailability of 174.62%. Thus,the length of mesopores played a more important role in solidification of SMEDDS as compared with the pore diameter. | 9 | National incidence of joint dislocation in China:a retrospective survey of 512,187 individuals显示文摘Background:Joint dislocations significantly impact public health.However,a comprehensive study on the incidence,distribution,and risk factors for joint dislocations in China is lacking.We conducted the China National Joint Dislocation Study,which is a part of the China National Fracture Study conducted to obtain the national incidence and risk factors for traumatic fractures,and to investigate the incidence and risk factors for joint dislocations.Methods:For this national retrospective epidemiological study,512,187 participants were recruited using stratified random sampling and probability-proportional-to-size method from January 19 to May 16,2015.Participants who sustained joint dislocations of the trunk,arms,or legs(skull,sternum,and ribs being excluded)in 2014 were personally interviewed to obtain data on age,educational background,ethnic origin,occupation,geographic region,and urbanization degree.The joint-dislocation incidence was calculated based on age,sex,body site,and demographic factors.The risk factors for different groups were examined using multiple logistic regression.Results:One hundred and nineteen participants sustained 121 joint dislocations in 2014.The population-weighted incidence rate of joint dislocations of the trunk,arms,or legs was 0.22(95%confidence interval[CI]:0.16,0.27)per 1000 population in 2014(men,0.27[0.20,0.34];women,0.16[0.10,0.23]).For all ages,previous dislocation history(male:OR 42.33,95%confidence interval[CI]:12.03-148.90;female:OR 54.43,95%CI:17.37-170.50)and alcohol consumption(male:OR 3.50,95%CI:1.49-8.22;female:OR 2.65,95%CI:1.08-6.50)were risk factors for joint dislocation.Sleeping less than 7 h/day was a risk factor for men.Compared with children,women aged≥15 years(female 15-64 years:OR 0.16,95%CI:0.04-0.61;female≥65 years:OR 0.06,95%CI:0.01-0.41)were less likely to sustain joint dislocations.Women with more than three children were at higher dislocation risk than women without children(OR 6.92,95%CI:1.18-40.78).Conclusions:The up-to-date data on joint dislocation incidence,distribution,and risk factors can be used as a reference for national healthcare,prevention,and management in China.Specific strategies for decreasing alcohol consumption and encouraging adequate sleeping hours should be developed to prevent or reduce dislocation incidents.Trial Registration:Chinese Clinical Trial Registry,ChiCTR-EPR-15005878. | Hongzhi Lv Wei Chen Zhiyong Hou Siming Jia Yanbin Zhu Bo Liu Xiao Chen Guang Yang Lei Liu Tao Zhang Haili Wang Bing Yin Song Liu Jialiang Guo Xiaolin Zhang Yichong Li Yingze Zhang | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,14: | 0 |
| 10 | TMEM106A transcriptionally regulated by promoter methylation is involved in invasion and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Expression of transmembrane protein 106A(TMEM106A)has been reported to be dysregulated in several types of cancers.However,the role of TMEM106A in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is still unknown.In the present study,we demonstrate that TMEM106A is markedly downregulated in HCC compared with normal liver tissue.In particular,tumor-specific DNA methylation of TMEM106A is frequently observed in tumor tissues from HCC patients.Immunohistochemistry and pyrosequencing reveal a significant relationship between TMEM106A methylation and downregulation of protein expression.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis reveals that methylation of TMEM106A in tumor samples is different from that in non-malignant adjacent tissues of HCC patients.Moreover,HCC patients with TMEM106A hypermethylation have a poor clinical prognosis.5-Aza-2′-deoxycytidin treatment of hypermethylated TMEM106A in highly metastatic HCC cells increases the expression of TMEM106A.Functional assays reveal that overexpression of TMEM106A significantly suppresses the malignant behavior of HCC cells in vitro and decreases tumorigenicity and lung metastasis in vivo.Mechanistically,TMEM106A inhibits epithelial mesenchymal transition(EMT)of HCC cells through inactivation of the Erk1/2/Slug signaling pathway.In conclusion,our findings demonstrate that TMEM106A is an inhibitor of HCC EMT and metastasis,and TMEM106A is often transcriptionally downregulated by promoter methylation,which results in reduced levels of TMEM106A protein and predicts poor survival outcomes for HCC patients. | Shiming Shi Biao Wang Jinglei Wan Lina Song Guiqi Zhu Junxian Du Luxi Ye Qianqian Zhao Jialiang Cai Qing Chen Kun Xiao Jian He Lei Yu Zhi Dai | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,7: | 0 |

| 13 | A Novel Approach for Energy Efficiency Prediction of Various Natural Draft Wet Cooling Towers Using ANN显示文摘Cooling tower is crucial equipment in the cool-end system of power plant and the natural draft counter-flow wet cooling tower(NDWCT)gets wide application.The artificial neural network(ANN)technique is becoming an effective method for the thermal performance investigation of cooling towers.However,the neural network research on the energy efficiency performance of NDWCTs is not sufficient.In this paper,a novel approach was proposed to predict energy efficiency of various NDWCTs by using Back Propagation(BP)neural network:Firstly,based on 638 sets of field test data within 36 diverse NDWCTs in power plant,a three-layer BP neural network model with structure of 8-14-2 was developed.Then the cooling number and evaporation loss of water of different NDWCTs were predicted adopting the BP model.The results show that the established BP neural network has preferable prediction accuracy for the heat and mass transfer performance of NDWCT with various scales.The predicted cooling number and evaporative loss proportion of the testing cooling towers are in good agreement with experimental values with the mean relative error in the range of 2.11%–4.45%and 1.04%–4.52%,respectively.Furthermore,the energy efficiency of different NDWCTs can also be predicted by the proposed BP model with consideration of evaporation loss of water in cooling tower.At last,a novel method for energy efficiency prediction of various NDWCTs using the developed ANN model was proposed.The energy efficiency index(EEI)of different NDWCTs can be achieved readily without measuring the temperature as well as velocity of the outlet air. | SONG Jialiang CHEN Yongdong WU Xiaohong RUAN Shengqi ZHANG Zhongqing | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,3: | 0 |
