| 1 | Integrated lithium metal anode protected by composite solid electrolyte film enables stable quasi-solid-state lithium metal batteries显示文摘Lithium(Li) metal,possessing an extremely high theoretical specific capacity(3860 mAh/g) and the most negative electrode potential(-3.040 V vs.standard hydrogen electrode),is one the most favorable anode materials for future high-energy-density batteries.However,the poor cyclability and safety issues induced by extremely unstable interfaces of traditional liquid Li metal batteries have limited their practical applications.Herein,a quasi-solid battery is constructed to offer superior interfacial stability as well as excellent interfacial contact by the incorporation of Li@composite solid electrolyte integrated electrode and a limited amount of liquid electrolyte(7.5 μL/cm2).By combining the inorganic garnet Aldoped Li6.75La3Zr1.75Ta0.25O12(LLZO) with high mechanical strength and ionic conductivity and the o rganic ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer(EVA) with good flexibility,the composite solid electrolyte film could provide sufficient ion channels,sustained interfacial contact and good mechanical stability at the anode side,which significantly alleviates the thermodynamic corrosion and safety problems induced by liquid electrolytes.This innovative and facile quasi-solid strategy is aimed to promote the intrinsic safety and stability of working Li metal anode,shedding light on the development of next-generation highperformance Li metal batteries. | Junfan Ding Rui Xu Chong Yan Ye Xiao Yeru Liang Hong Yuan Jiaqi Huang | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,9: | 8 |
| 2 | Effects of Salinity on Embryonic Development, Survival, and Growth of Crassostrea hongkongensis显示文摘This study examined the effects of salinity on embryonic development, survival, and growth of the Hong Kong oyster Crassostrea hongkongensis. The embryos, larvae, and juveniles of C. hongkongensis were held in artificial seawater at three different salinities(low, 15; medium, 23; and high, 30) to determine the optimum hatchery and nursery conditions for mass production of the seeds. Results showed that the percentage production of straight-hinged larvae from fertilized eggs was significantly lower at the high salinity than at the low- and medium-salinities(P < 0.05). The survival rates of larvae and juveniles differed significantly among the three salinity trials, with the highest survival rate observed at the low salinity(P < 0.05). The shell height of larvae was significantly larger at the low salinity than at the high and medium salinities from days 9 to 15(P < 0.05), whereas that of juveniles was significantly larger at the low salinity than at the high and medium salinities on day 70(P < 0.05). These results indicate that the larvae and juveniles of C. hongkongensis are tolerant to a wide range of salinities(15 to 30), but show better growth and survival at relatively low salinities. | 5 | Development of Human in vitro Brain-blood Barrier Model from Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell-derived Endothelial Cells to Predict the in vivo Permeability of Drugs显示文摘An in vitro blood-brain barrier(BBB) model is critical for enabling rapid screening of the BBB permeability of the drugs targeting on the central nervous system.Though many models have been developed, their reproducibility and renewability remain a challenge. Furthermore, drug transport data from many of the models do not correlate well with the data for in vivo BBB drug transport.Induced-pluripotent stem cell(i PSC) technology provides reproducible cell resources for in vitro BBB modeling.Here, we generated a human in vitro BBB model by differentiating the human i PSC(hi PSC) line GM25256 into brain endothelial-type cells. The model displayed BBB characteristics including tight junction proteins(ZO-1,claudin-5, and occludin) and endothelial markers(von Willebrand factor and Ulex), as well as high transendothelial electrical resistance(TEER)(1560 X.cm2±230 X.cm2) and c-GTPase activity. Co-culture with primary rat astrocytes significantly increased the TEER of the model(2970 X.cm2 to 4185 X.cm2). RNAseq analysis confirmed the expression of key BBB-related genes in the hi PSC-derived endothelial cells in comparison with primary human brain microvascular endothelial cells,including P-glycoprotein(Pgp) and breast cancer resistant protein(BCRP). Drug transport assays for nine CNS compounds showed that the permeability of non-Pgp/BCRP and Pgp/BCRP substrates across the model was strongly correlated with rodent in situ brain perfusion data for these compounds(R2= 0.982 and R2= 0.9973,respectively), demonstrating the functionality of the drug transporters in the model. | 8 | Growth Mechanism,Modified Morphology and Optical Properties of Coral-like BaTiO_3 Architecture through CTAB Assisted Synthesis显示文摘Three-dimensional hierarchical structure coral-like BaTiO3 nanoparticles have been self-assembled by a facile one step hydrothermal method. Cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB),Ba(OH)2·8H2O and tetrabutyl titanate have been used as precursors. The prepared Ba TiO3 exhibits cubic perovskite phase at room temperature,and the coral-like architecture is a micro-nano hiberarchy consisted of dendrimer-like structure and trunk-like structure. By adjusting the hydrothermal duration and the precursor substances,a surfactant induced mechanism is proposed to understand the self-assembly process. UV-vis measurement demonstrates that the as-prepared Ba TiO3 nanoparticles exhibit dozens of times overwhelming absorptive character compared to the ordinary nanospheres at ultraviolet band,which is benefited from the coral-like porous framework. Moreover,halogen anions( F,Cl,Br,and I) have been chosen to adjust the coral-like Ba TiO3 physical properties. Results show the halogen doping produces distinct modulation effect on the grain size,UV-vis absorbance and photoluminescence properties of the materials. | 17 | A new methodology for identification of potential pay zones from well logs: Intelligent system establishment and application in the Eastern Junggar Basin, China显示文摘In recent years, as the exploration practices extend into more complicated formations, conventional well log interpretation has often shown its inaccuracy and limitations in identifying hydrocarbons. The Permian Wutonggou Formation hosts typical clastic reservoirs in the Eastern Junggar Basin. The sophisticated lithology characteristics cause complex pore structures and fluid properties. These all finally cause low well testing agreement rate using conventional methods. Eleven years' recent statistics show that 12 out of 15 water layers have been incorrectly identified as being oil or oil/water layers by conventional well log interpretation. This paper proposes a methodology called intelligent prediction and identification system(IPIS). Firstly, parameters reflecting lithological, petrophysical and electrical responses which are greatly related to reservoir fluids have been selected carefully. They are shale content(Vsh), numbered rock type(RN), porosity(Φ), permeability(K), true resistivity(RT) and spontaneous-potential(SP). Secondly, Vsh, Φ and K are predicted from well logs through artificial neural networks(ANNs). Finally, all the six parameters are input into a neuro-fuzzy inference machine(NFIM) to get fluids identification results. Eighteen new layers of 145.3 m effective thickness were examined by IPIS.
