2Sequencing of Cultivated Peanut, Arachis hypogaea, Yields Insights into Genome Evolution and Oil Improvement显示文摘Cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is an allotetraploid crop planted in Asia, Africa, and America for edible oil and protein. To explore the origins and consequences of tetraploidy, we sequenced the allotetraploid A. hypogaea genome and compared it with the related diploid Arachis duranensis and Arachis ipaensis genomes. We annotated 39 888 A-subgenome genes and 41 526 B-subgenome genes in allotetraploid peanut. The A. hypogaea subgenomes have evolved asymmetrically, with the B subgenome resembling the ancestral state and the A subgenome undergoing more gene disruption, loss, conversion, and transposable element proliferation, and having reduced gene expression during seed development despite lacking genome-wide expression dominance. Genomic and transcriptomic analyses identified more than 2 500 oil metabolism-related genes and revealed that most of them show altered expression early in seed development while their expression ceases during desiccation, presenting a comprehensive map of peanut lipid biosynthesis. 3Distinct sedimentary environments and their influences on carbonate reservoir evolution of the Lianglitag Formation in the Tarim Basin,Northwest China显示文摘The Upper Ordovician Lianglitag Formation carbonate rocks are important oil and gas reservoirs in the Tarim Basin,Northwest China,with obviously distinct reservoir properties among different oilfields.As a case area of the above carbonate reservoirs correlation,Tahe and Tazhong oilfields are chosen for the study through an integrated analysis of biostratigraphic isochronous framework,cores,thin sections,logs,and strontium isotopes.The research shows that the two areas were respectively attributed to different carbonate platforms during the Lianglitag Formation depositional phase.For the Lianglitag Formation,five fourth-order sequences may be divided in Tazhong,whereas only four fourth-order sequences are preserved in Tahe that correspond to the lower ones observed in Tazhong.The Lianglitag Formation carbonate platform in Tahe was characterized by ramp and/or weak rimmed types,with low depositional rates(37 μm/a),higher whole-rock clastic contents,and higher 87 Sr/86 Sr isotope ratios of carbonate matrix,showing relatively deep-water environment and evident terrigenous input for carbonate deposition.However,a strongly rimmed carbonate platform was developed in Tazhong,with high depositional rates of 250 m/a and less whole-rock clastic contents,indicating a high-energy depositional environment.Because of the sedimentary environment differences mentioned above,less high-energy facies but relatively intense syndepositional(early diagenetic) sea-water cementation of carbonates were developed in Tahe,and ubiquitous high-energy reef and shoal facies,with a frequent exposure to subaerial,and weak syndepositional sea-water cementation of carbonates in Tazhong.Therefore,fewer primary pores occurred in the Lianglitag Formation carbonate rocks of Tahe,whereas more primary pores were preserved in the same lithostratigraphic unit of the Tazhong(No.1 fault zone).Available high-energy reef-shoal facies and early diagenesis,with more primary pores preserved,provided a key material basis for the Lianglitag Formation carbonate reservoirs that largely occurred in Tazhong.LIU JiaQing LI Zhong HUANG JunCou YANG Liu 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,10:11
4Research on the reconstruction method of porous media using multiple-point geostatistics显示文摘The pore structural characteristics have been the key to the studies on the mechanisms of fluids flow in porous media. With the development of experimental technology, the modern high-resolution equipments are capable of capturing pore structure images with a resolution of microns. But so far only 3D volume data of millimeter-scale rock samples can be obtained losslessly. It is necessary to explore the way of virtually reconstructing larger volume digital samples of porous media with the representative structural characteristics of the pore space. This paper proposes a reconstruction method of porous media using the structural characteristics captured by the data templates of multiple-point geostatistics. In this method, the probability of each structural characteristic of a pore space is acquired first, and then these characteristics are reproduced according to the probabilities to present the real structural characteristics in the reconstructed images. 5Modifi cation of wheat bran insoluble and soluble dietary fibers with snail enzyme显示文摘Insoluble dietary fiber(IDF)and soluble dietary fiber(SDF)extracted from wheat bran were modifi ed by snail enzyme and their physicochemical properties(water retention capacity and oil retention capacity),functional properties(cholesterol adsorption capacity,glucose adsorption capacity and antioxidant activity)and structural characterizations were evaluated.The results showed that snail enzyme modification led to the significant increase in oil retention capacity of IDF,glucose adsorption capacity and cholesterol adsorption capacity of IDF and SDF.Enzymatic modification also markedly improved the DPPH radical scavenging capacity and reducing power of IDF and SDF.Meanwhile,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)analysis indicated the microstructures of IDF and SDF powders were signifi cantly changed.Fourier transfer-infrared spectrometry(FT-IR)showed that snail enzyme modifi cation could degrade the part of cellulose and hemicellulose of IDF and SDF.All these improved physicochemical and functional properties of IDF and SDF might depend on their structural changes.It suggested that snail enzyme modifi cation could effectively improve physicochemical and functional properties of IDF and SDF from wheat bran.Xin Liu Keke Suo Pei Wang Xue Li Limin Hao Jiaqing Zhu Juanjuan Yi Qiaozhen Kang Jinyong Huang Jike Lu 2021Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,3:10
6Epidemiology of urticaria in China:a population-based study显示文摘Background:Urticaria is a common skin disease characterized by episodes of wheals,and it has a negative effect on patients’quality of life.Large-scale population-based epidemiological studies of urticaria are scarce in China.The aim of this survey was to determine the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria in the Chinese population.Methods:This survey was conducted in 35 cities from 31 provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities of China.Two to three communities in each city were selected in this investigation.Participants completed questionnaires and received dermatological examinations.We analyzed the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria.Results:In total,44,875 questionnaires were distributed and 41,041 valid questionnaires were collected(17,563 male and 23,478 female participants).The lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%,with 8.26%in female and 6.34%in male individuals(P<0.05).The point prevalence of urticaria was 0.75%,with 0.79%in female and 0.71%in male individuals(P<0.05).Concomitant angioedema was found in 6.16%of patients.Adults had a higher prevalence of urticaria than adolescents and children.Living in urban areas,exposure to pollutants,an anxious or depressed psychological status,a personal and family history of allergy,thyroid diseases,and Helicobacter pylori infection were associated with a higher prevalence of urticaria.Smoking was correlated with a reduced risk of urticaria.Conclusion:This study demonstrated that the lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%and the point prevalence was 0.75%in the Chinese population;women had a higher prevalence of urticaria than men.Various factors were correlated with urticaria.Jiaqing Li Dandan Mao Shuoshuo Liu Ping Liu Jing Tian Chenhong Xue Xiaojing Liu Ruiqun Qi Bingxue Bai Jianjun Nie Siqi Ye Yu Wang Yuye Li Qing Sun Juan Tao Shuping Guo Hong Fang Jianqin Wang Qiri Mu Quanzhong Liu Yan Ding Jianzhong Zhang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,11:6
7Modified hyaluronic acid hydrogels with chemical groups that facilitate adhesion to host tissues enhance cartilage regeneration显示文摘Stable integration of hydrogel implants with host tissues is of critical importance to cartilage tissue engineering.Designing and fabricating hydrogels with high adhesive strength,stability and regeneration potential are major challenges to be overcome.This study fabricated injectable adhesive hyaluronic acid(HA)hydrogel modified by aldehyde groups and methacrylate(AHAMA)on the polysaccharide backbone with multiple anchoring mechanisms(amide bond through the dynamic Schiff base reaction,hydrogen bond and physical interpenetration).AHAMA hydrogel exhibited significantly improved durability and stability within a humid environment(at least 7 days),together with higher adhesive strength(43 KPa to skin and 52 KPa to glass),as compared to commercial fibrin glue(nearly 10 KPa)and HAMA hydrogel(nearly 20 KPa).The results showed that AHAMA hydrogel was biocompatible and could be easily and rapidly prepared in situ.In vitro cell culture experiments showed that AHAMA hydrogel could enhance proliferation(1.2-folds after 3 days)and migration(1.5-folds after 12 h)of bone marrow stem cells(BMSCs),as compared to cells cultured in a culture dish.Furthermore,in a rat osteochondral defect model,implanted AHAMA hydrogel significantly promoted integration between neo-cartilage and host tissues,and significantly improved cartilage regeneration(modified O’Driscoll histological scores of 16.0±4.1 and 18.3±4.6 after 4 and 12-weeks of post-implantation in AHAMA groups respectively,12.0±2.7 and 12.2±2.8 respectively in HAMA groups,9.8±2.4 and 11.5±2.1 respectively in untreated groups).Hence,AHAMA hydrogel is a promising adhesive biomaterial for clinical cartilage regeneration and other biomedical applications.Jiaqing Chen Jiabei Yang Li Wang Xuewei Zhang Boon Chin Heng Dong-An Wang Zigang Ge 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,6:6
8Carbamylated erythropoietin regulates immune responses and promotes long-term kidney allograft survival through activation of PI3K/AKT signaling显示文摘Modulation of alloimmune responses is critical to improving transplant outcome and promoting long-term graft survival.To determine mechanisms by which a nonhematopoietic erythropoietin(EPO)derivative,carbamylated EPO(CEPO),regulates innate and adaptive immune cells and affects renal allograft survival,we utilized a rat model of fully MHC-mismatched kidney transplantation.CEPO administration markedly extended the survival time of kidney allografts compared with the transplant alone control group.This therapeutic effect was inhibited when the recipients were given LY294002,a selective inhibitor of the phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase B(AKT)signaling pathway or anti-EPO receptor(EPOR)antibody,in addition to CEPO.In vitro,CEPO inhibited the differentiation and function of dendritic cells and modulated their production of proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines,along with activating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and increasing EPOR mRNA and protein expression by these innate immune cells.Moreover,after CD4^(+)T cells were exposed to CEPO the Th1/Th2 ratio decreased and the regulatory T cell(Treg)/Th17 ratio increased.These effects were abolished by LY294002 or anti-EPOR antibody,suggesting that CEPO regulates immune responses and promotes kidney allograft survival by activating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway in an EPOR-dependent manner.The immunomodulatory and specific signaling pathway effects of CEPO identified in this study suggest a potential therapeutic approach to promoting kidney transplant survival.Ning Na Daqiang Zhao Jinhua Zhang Jiaqing Wu Bin Miao Heng Li Yingxun Luo Zuofu Tang Wensheng Zhang Joseph A.Bellanti Song Guo Zheng 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:4
9Synthesis of Mg-Al-carbonate layered double hydroxide by an atom-economic reaction显示文摘A clean method for preparing layered double hydroxides (LDHs) has been developed, featured by using the hydroxides of two different metals as starting materials by atom-economic reactions. The reactions were carried out under hydrothermal conditions in either a high pressure autoclave or a microwave digester. The compositions, structural parameters and thermal behavior of the resulting LDHs are very similar to those of materials produced by using the separate nucleation and aging steps (SNAS) method. The major advantage of the new method is that no by-product is produced, so that filtration and washing processes are unnecessary. 10Pharmacometabolomic prediction of individual differences of gastrointestinal toxicity complicating myelosuppression in rats induced by irinotecan显示文摘Pharmacometabolomics has been already successfully used in toxicity prediction for one specific adverse effect. However in clinical practice, two or more different toxicities are always accompanied with each other, which puts forward new challenges for pharmacometabolomics. Gastrointestinal toxicity and myelosuppression are two major adverse effects induced by Irinotecan(CPT-11),and often show large individual differences. In the current study, a pharmacometabolomic study was performed to screen the exclusive biomarkers in predose serums which could predict late-onset diarrhea and myelosuppression of CPT-11 simultaneously. The severity and sensitivity differences in gastrointestinal toxicity and myelosuppression were judged by delayed-onset diarrhea symptoms, histopathology examination, relative cytokines and blood cell counts. Mass spectrometry-based non-targeted and targeted metabolomics were conducted in sequence to dissect metabolite signatures in predose serums. Eventually,two groups of metabolites were screened out as predictors for individual differences in late-onset diarrhea and myelosuppression using binary logistic regression, respectively. This result was compared with existing predictors and validated by another independent external validation set. Our study indicates the prediction of toxicity could be possible upon predose metabolic profile. Pharmacometabolomics can be a potentially useful tool for complicating toxicity prediction. 11Co-catalyst-free large ZnO single crystal for high-efficiency piezocatalytic hydrogen evolution from pure water显示文摘Piezocatalytic materials have been widely used for catalytic hydrogen evolution and purification of organic contaminants.However,most studies focus on nano-size and/or polycrystalline catalysts,suffering from aggregation and neutralization of internal piezoelectric field caused by polydomains.Here we report a single crystal ZnO of large size and few bulk defects crafted by a hydrothermal method for piezocatalytic hydrogen generation from pure water.It is noteworthy that single-side surface areas of both original as-prepared ZnO and Ga-doped ZnO bulk crystals are larger than 30 cm^(2).The high quality of ZnO and Ga-doped ZnO bulks are further uncovered by high-resolution transmission electron microscope(HRTEM),photoluminescence(PL)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).Remarkably,an outstanding hydrogen production rate of co-catalyst-free Ga-doped ZnO bulk crystal(i.e.,a maximum rate of 5915μmol h^(-1) m^(-2))is observed in pure water triggered by ultrasound in dark,which is over 100 times higher than that of its powder counterpart(i.e.,52.54μmol h^(-1) m^(-2)).The piezocatalytic performance of ZnO bulk crystal is systematically studied in terms of varied exposed crystal facet,thickness and conductivity.Different piezocatalytic performances are attributed to magnitude and distribution of piezoelectric potential,revealed by the finite element method(FEM)simulation.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations are employed to investigate the piezocatalytic hydrogen evolution process,indicating a strong H_(2)O adsorption and a low energy barrier for both H_(2)O dissociation and H2 generation on the stressed Znterminated(0001)ZnO surface.Biao Wang Qian Zhang Jiaqing He Feng Huang Caifu Li Mengye Wang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:4
12A practical method for identifying key factors in the distribution and formation of heavy metal pollution at a smelting site显示文摘Smelting activities are the main pathway for the anthropogenic release of heavy metals(HMs)into the soil-groundwater environment.It is vital to identify the factors affecting HMs pollution to better prevent and manage soil pollution.The present study conducted a comprehensive investigation of HMs in soil from a large abandoned Zn smelting site.An integrated approach was proposed to classify and quantify the factors affecting HMs pollution in the site.Besides,the quantitative relationship between hydrogeological characteristics,pollution transmission pathways,smelting activities and HMs pollutionwas established.Results showed that the soils were highly contaminated by HMs with a pollution index trend of As>Zn>Cd>Pb>Hg.In identifying the pollution hotspots,we conclude that the pollution hotspots of Pb,As,Cd,and Hg present a concentrated distribution pattern.Geo-detector method results showed that the dominant driving factors for HMs distribution and accumulation were the potential pollution source and soil permeability.Additionally,the main drivers are variable for different HMs,and the interaction among factors also enhanced soil HMs contamination.Our analysis illustrates how the confounding influences from complex environmental factors can be distilled to identify key factors in pollution formation to guide future remediation strategies.Jiaqing Zeng Wenshun Ke Min Deng Jingqiang Tan Chuxuan Li Yizhi Cheng Shengguo Xue 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,5:3
13Experimental Study on Elevated Fires in a Ceiling Vented Compartment显示文摘The impacts of elevation on fires in a ceiling vented compartment were investigated experimentally. The flame behavior of elevated fires was recorded. Various parameters including the fuel mass loss rate, the light extinction coefficient, the oxygen concentration and the gas temperature were measured. Results indicated that the variations of the flame behavior were consistent with that of the fuel mass loss rate. The fire location significantly impacted the light extinction coefficient, the oxygen concentration and the gas temperature, which all showed distinct stratification phenomena. For a higher elevated fire, the average fuel loss rate and the overall light extinction coefficient were smaller, the oxygen concentration was higher and the gas temperature was lower. In addition, the smoke descending was slower. 14Determinants of self-management behaviors among pulmonary tuberculosis patients: a path analysis显示文摘Background Tuberculosis(TB)is one of the top 10 causes of death in the world.Since Directly Observed Therapy(DOT)as a core strategy for the global TB control are not applicable to all types of TB patients,and self-management of TB patients(SMTP)as a patient-centered supervision type is a supplement to DOT and can improve TB case management.However,the factors related to SMTP are complex and need more study.This study aimed at identifying the determinants of SMTP and examining the direct/indirect effects of these determinants.Methods The purposive sampling technique was used to select study sites and participants were recruited from the study sites by the consecutive sampling method.The PRECEDE model was used as the framework to analyze the determinants of SMTP.The responses of TB patients were acquired via a questionnaire survey for data collection.A Pearson correlation analysis was used to define the relationship between the predisposing,enabling,reinforcing factors with SMTP behaviors.A regression-based path analysis was used to determine the action paths of the predisposing,enabling,and reinforcing factors on SMTP behaviors.Results The predisposing(TB knowledge),enabling[health education and healthcare workers(HCWs)support],reinforcing factors(family support)had significant positive correlations with SMTP behaviors(P<0.05).The predisposing,enabling,reinforcing factors were positively correlated with each other(r=0.123‒0.918,P<0.05),except for family support and HCWs support.The predisposing factors(TB knowledge,β=0.330)and the enabling factors(HCWs support,β=0.437)had direct effects on SMTP behaviors.The enabling factors(health education and HCWs support)and the reinforcing factors(family support)had indirect effects on SMTP behaviors.Conclusions This study revealed the effects and action path of TB knowledge,health education,HCWs support,and family support on SMTP behaviors via a path analysis.Assessing patient’s needs for SMTP along with promoting effective TB health education and providing firm support from HCWs and family members are potential strategies to promote SMTP behaviors.Jin Li Jie Pu Jiaqing Liu Qingya Wang Rui Zhang Ting Zhang Jiani Zhou Wei Xing Shengxiang Liang Daiyu Hu Ying Li 2021Infectious Diseases of Poverty2021,10,4:2

18Influence of the pore structure of Ce/MgAl hydrotalcite-derived mixed oxides on its SO_x pick-up capacity显示文摘The sulfur-transfer catalyst is widely used to remove the sulfur oxides (SOx ) from the flue gas in the fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) units. This paper reports the influence of the pore structure of the Ce/MgAl hydrotalcite-derived mixed oxides on its SO x pick-up capacity. The Ce/MgAl hydrotalcites precursors were synthesized by the separate nucleation and aging steps (SNAS), and then were calcined in air at 800℃ to prepare the Ce/MgAl mixed oxides. And in our preparations, the pore structures of the Ce/MgAl mixed oxides were controlled by modifying the aging time of the hydrotalcites precursors. 19Silver nanowire/polymer composite soft conductive film fabricated by large-area compatible coating for flexible pressure sensor array显示文摘Soft conductive films composed of a silver nanowire(AgNW) network, a neutral-pH PEDOT:PSS overcoating layer and a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) elastomer substrate are fabricated by large area compatible coating processes. The neutral-pH PEDOT:PSS layer is shown to be able to significantly improve the conductivity,stretchability and air stability of the conductive films. The soft conductive films are patterned using a simple maskless patterning approach to fabricate an 8 x 8 flexible pressure sensor array.
