12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2Aerodynamic characteristics of rigid coaxial rotor by wind tunnel test and numerical calculation显示文摘Focusing on aerodynamic characteristics of rigid coaxial rotor of a high-speed helicopter in hover and forward flight, a wind tunnel test is conducted in the 8 m ? 6 m low-speed straightflow wind tunnel of China Aerodynamics Research and Development Center. In the experiment,a 4 m diameter composite model rigid coaxial rotor is designed and manufactured, and firstorder flapping frequency ratio of the blade is 1.796 to ensure sufficient stiffness at the blade root.Rotor aerodynamic performance is measured under hovering and high advance ratio conditions.Also, the numerical method is used to calculate aerodynamic characteristics in typical states of the rigid coaxial rotor for analysis purpose. The rotor lift-drag ratio and lateral lift offset in the experiment are emphatically analyzed for the rigid coaxial rotor. The results indicate that in forward flight condition, the rotor lift-drag ratio first increases and then decreases with the increment of advance ratio and lift offset. 3A 2-year study on the effect of biochar on methane and nitrous oxide emissions in an intensive rice-wheat cropping system显示文摘The impacts of biochar addition with nitrogen fertilizer(Urea-N)on greenhouse gas(GHG)fluxes and grain yields are not comprehensively understood.Therefore,we designed a field experiment in an intensive rice-wheat cropping system located in the Taihu Lake region of China and measured CH4 and N_(2)O emissions for 2 consecutive years to examine the impacts of biochar combined with N-fertilizer on rice production and GHG flux.Three field experimental treatments were designed:(1)no N-fertilizer application(N0);(2)270 kg N ha^(−1) application(N270);and(3)270 kg N-fertilizer ha^(−1) plus 25 t ha^(−1) biochar application(N270+C).We found that,compared with urea application alone,biochar applied with Urea-N fertilizer increased N use efficiency(NUE)and resulted in more stable growth of rice yield.In addition,biochar addition increased CH4 emissions by 0.5-37.5%on average during the two consecutive rice-growing seasons,and decreased N_(2)O-N loss by~16.7%.During the first growing season,biochar addition did not significantly affect the global warming potential(GWPt)or the greenhouse gas intensity(GHGI)of rice production(p>0.05).By contrast,during the second rice-growing season,biochar application significantly increased GWPt and GHGI by 28.9%and 18.8%,respectively,mainly because of increased CH_(4) emissions.Our results suggest that biochar amendment could improve grain yields and NUE,and increased soil GWPt,resulting in a higher potential environmental cost,but that biochar additions enhance exogenous carbon sequestration by the soil,which could offset the increases in GHG emissions.Shuwei Wang Shutan Ma Jun Shan Yongqiu Xia Jinghui Lin Xiaoyuan Yan 2019Biochar2019,1,2:4
4Impact of Meteorological Drought on Streamflow Drought in Jinghe River Basin of China显示文摘Under global climate change, drought has become one of the most serious natural hazards, affecting the ecological environment and human life. Drought can be categorized as meteorological, agricultural, hydrological or socio-economic drought. Among the different categories of drought, hydrological drought, especially streamflow drought, has been given more attention by local governments, researchers and the public in recent years. Identifying the occurrence of streamflow drought and issuing early warning can provide timely information for effective water resources management. In this study, streamflow drought is detected by using the Standardized Runoff Index, whereas meteorological drought is detected by the Standardized Precipitation Index. Comparative analyses of frequency, magnitude, onset and duration are conducted to identify the impact of meteorological drought on streamflow drought. This study focuses on the Jinghe River Basin in Northwest China, mainly providing the following findings. 1) Eleven meteorological droughts and six streamflow droughts were indicated during 1970 and 1990 after pooling using Inter-event time and volume Criterion method. 2) Streamflow drought in the Jinghe River Basin lagged meteorological drought for about 127 days. 3) The frequency of streamflow drought in Jinghe River Basin was less than meteorological drought. However, the average duration of streamflow drought is longer. 4) The magnitude of streamflow drought is greater than meteorological drought. 5Assessing the effects of oyster/kelp weight ratio on water column properties: an experimental IMTA study at Sanggou Bay, China显示文摘Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture(IMTA)is an effective method for sustainable aquaculture as species from different trophic levels could reduce negative effects from fed species in the environment.A proper proportion of different trophic species in an IMTA system could improve the aquaculture production and environmental sustainability.At present,research on the proper proportions for farming species is scarce.We investigated the effects of IMTA modes of oyster(Crassostrea gigas)and kelp(Saccharina japonica)in different weight ratios on water quality and carbonate system in a closed enclosure experiment for three days in the Sanggou Bay in Shandong Province,China,in December 2017.Nine collocation modes in oyster:kelp weight ratio were tested showing as 24:3,24:2,24:1,16:3,16:2,16:1,8:3,8:2,and 8:1.The water parameters were determined at 17:00 on Day 1(D1),and 6:00 and 17:00 on Days 2(D2)and 3(D3).As two-way ANOVA showed,all increased parameters(dissolved oxygen(DO),pH,chl a,the carbonate system and pCO2)were significantly related to oyster-kelp modes,and interaction between modes and time were also significant(P<0.05).On the 3th day,the 8:3 mode was the highest in DO,pH,chl a,CO32-(P<0.05),and dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC),HCO3-,CO2,and pCO2 were the lowest(P<0.05).According to previous references and the results of this study,the appropriate oyster:kelp proportion at the beginning of winter is from 8:2 to 8:3.The results of this study may help government to optimize the aquaculture structure of Sanggou Bay.FANG Jinghui FANG Jianguang CHEN Qionglin MAO Yuze JIANG Zengjie DU Meirong GAO Yaping LIN Fan 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,6:2
6Single nucleotide polymorphisms in the human corticosteroid-binding globulin promoter alter transcriptional activity显示文摘Corticosteroid-binding globulin(CBG) is a high-affinity plasma protein that transports glucocorticoids and progesterone.Others and we have reported non-synonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) that influence CBG production or steroid-binding activity.However,no promoter polymorphisms affecting the transcription of human CBG gene(Cbg) have been reported.In the present study we investigated function implications of six promoter SNPs,including 26 C/G,54 C/T,144 G/C,161 A/G,205 C/A,and 443/444 AG/,five of which are located within the first 205 base pairs of 5'-flanking region and close to the highly conserved footprinted elements,TATA-box,or CCAAT-box.Luciferase reporter assays demonstrated that basal activity of the promoter carrying 54 T or 161 G was significantly enhanced.The first three polymorphisms,26 C/G,54 C/T,and 144 G/C located close to the putative hepatic nuclear factor(HNF) 1 binding elements,altered the transactivation effect of HNF1.We also found a negative promoter response to dexamethasone-activated glucocorticoid receptor(GR),although none of the SNPs affected its transrepression function.Our results suggest that human Cbg 26 C/G,54 C/T,144 G/C,and 161 A/G promoter polymorphisms alter transcriptional activity,and further studies are awaited to explore their association with physiological and pathological conditions.LI Yue WU Liang LEI JingHui ZHU Cheng WANG HongMei YU XiaoGuang LIN HaiYan 2012Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,8:1

12Functional dissociation of the left ventral occipito-temporal cortex in the direct and indirect retrieval of color features显示文摘Previous studies suggest that the storage/retrieval of object features is related to brain regions that are involved in the processing of these features.However,it remains unclear whether,and under what conditions,retrieving information about a feature reactivates the same region that specifically supports that feature's perception.In this functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) study,we compared brain activation in the left ventral occipito-temporal cortex during subjects performing a color perception task,and direct and indirect color retrieval tasks.After performing the color perception task to localize the regions responsible for color perception,subjects were intensively trained(outside of the scanner) to remember associations between colors and motion directions,and associations between colors and letters.Then,they were asked to perform two color retrieval tasks in the scanner,with stationary and gray scaled images as control stimuli.The results showed that the bilateral posterior occipito-temporal cortex was activated during the color perception task.When color information was retrieved by direct cues(motion direction),the same bilateral occipito-temporal region was activated. When color information was retrieved indirectly(judging whether a motion direction matched a letter by their associated colors),a region anterior to the color perception region in the left ventral occipito-temporal cortex was additionally activated.Our results provided evidence for the functional dissociation in the two subregions of the ventral occipito-temporal cortex during retrieval of color features: the posterior area might relate to perceptual features of color,while the anterior region might relate to the knowledge of associations with color.Yan Wang Jinghui Zhao Jiongjiong Yang Lin Ma Sheng He Xuchu Weng 2009Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,11:0
