Identification of an epitope of SARS-coronavirus nucleocapsid protein显示文摘The nucleocapsid (N) protein of severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus (SARS-CoV) is a majorvirion structural protein. In this study, two epitopes (N1 and N2) of the N protein of SARS-CoV werepredicted by bioinformatics analysis. After immunization with two peptides, the peptides-specific antibodieswere isolated from the immunized rabbits. The further experiments demonstrated that N1 peptide-inducedpolyclonal antibodies had a high affinity to bind to E. coli expressed N protein of SARS-CoV. Furthermore, itwas confirmed that N1 peptide-specific IgG antibodies were detectable in the sera of severe acute respiratorysyndrome (SARS) patients. The results indicated that an epitope of the N protein has been identified andN protein specific Abs were produced by peptide immunization, which will be useful for the study of SARS-CoV. | YINGLIN XuSHEN RUIFuYANG YIXUELI YONGYONGJI YouYuHE MuDESHI WEILU TIELIUSHI BINGSUN JINWANG HONGXIAWANG HUALIANGJIANG JIANHUASHEN YOUHUAXIE YUANWANG GANGPEI BBIFENSHEN JIARUIWU | 2003 | Cell Research2003,13,3: | 22
Stability of roof structure and its control in steeply inclined coal seams显示文摘To improve the effectiveness of control of surrounding rock and the stability of supports on longwall topcoal caving faces in steeply inclined coal seams, the stability of the roof structure and hydraulic supports was studied with physical simulation and theoretical analysis. The results show that roof strata in the vicinity of the tail gate subside extensively with small cutting height, while roof subsidence near the main gate is relatively assuasive. With increase of the mining space, the caving angle of the roof strata above the main gate increases. The characteristics of the vertical and horizontal displacement of the roof strata demonstrate that caved blocks rotate around the lower hinged point of the roof structure, which may lead to sliding instability. Large dip angle of the coal seam makes sliding instability of the roof structure easier.A three-hinged arch can be easily formed above both the tail and main gates in steeply inclined coal seams. With the growth in the dip angle, subsidence of the arch foot formed above the main gate decreases significantly, which reduces the probability of the roof structure becoming unstable as a result of large deformation, while the potential of the roof structure's sliding instability above the tail gate increases dramatically. | Li Xiaomeng Wang Zhaohui Zhang Jinwang | 2017 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2017,27,2: | 21
Three-dimensional experimental study of loose top-coal drawing law for longwall top-coal caving mining technology显示文摘Based on the loose medium flow field theory, the loose top-coal drawing law of longwall top-coal caving(LTCC) mining technology is studied by using self-developed three-dimensional(3D) test device. The loose top-coal drawing test with shields and the controlled test without shields are performed in the condition without any boundary effect. Test results show that shields will cause reduction in drawing volume of coal in the LTCC mining. The deflection phenomenon of drawing body is also observed in the controlled test, which is verified that the deflection of drawing body is caused by shield. It is found that the deflection angle decreases with increasing caving height, with the maximum value of atailand the minimum value of 0. In addition, the formula to calculate the drawing volume is proposed subsequently. The deflection of drawing body is numerically simulated using particle flow code PFC3 Dand the proposed formula to calculate drawing volume in LTCC is also verified. | Jiachen Wang Jinwang Zhang Zhengyang Song Zhaolong Li | 2015 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2015,7,3: | 12
Theoretical description of drawing body shape in an inclined seam with longwall top coal caving mining显示文摘Understanding the characteristics of drawing body shape is essential for optimization of drawing parameters in longwall top coal caving mining. In this study, both physical experiments and theoretical analysis are employed to investigate these characteristics and derive a theoretical equation for the drawing body shape along the working face in an inclined seam.By analyzing the initial positions of drawn marked particles, the characteristics of the drawing body shape for different seam dip angles are obtained. It is shown that the drawing body of the top coal exhibits a shape-difference and volume-symmetry characteristic,on taking a vertical line through the center of support opening as the axis of symmetry, the shapes of the drawing body on the two sides of this axis are clearly different, but their volumes are equal.By establishing theoretical models of the drawing body in the initial drawing stage and the normal drawing stage,a theoretical equation for the drawing body in an inclined seam is proposed, which can accurately describe the characteristics of the drawing body shape. The shape characteristics and volume symmetry of the drawing body are further analyzed by comparing the results of theoretical calculations and numerical simulations. It is shown that one side of the drawing body is divided into two parts by an inflection point, with the lower part being a variation development area. This variation development area increases gradually with increasing seam dip angle, resulting in an asymmetry of the drawing body shape. However, the volume symmetry coefficient fluctuates around 1 for all values of the seam dip angle variation, and the volumes of the drawing body on the two sides are more or less equal as the variation development volume is more or less equal to the cut volume. Both theoretical calculations and numerical simulations confirm that the drawing body of the top coal exhibits the shape-difference and volume-symmetry characteristic. | Jiachen Wang Weijie Wei Jinwang Zhang | 2020 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2020,7,1: | 6
Chaotic Signal Denoising Algorithm Based on Self-Similarity显示文摘Inspired by the self-similar fractal properties of chaotic attractors and the heuristics of similarity filtering of images,a novel chaotic signal denoising algorithm is proposed.By grouping the chaotic signal with similar segments, the denoising of one-dimensional input is transformed into a two-dimensional joint filtering problem.Singular value decomposition is performed on the grouped signal segments and the transform coefficients are processed by thresholding to attenuate noise and finally undergo inverse transformation to recover the signal.Because the similar segments in the grouping have good correlation, the two-dimensional transformation of the grouping can obtain a more sparse representation of the original signal compared with the threshold value denoising in the direct one-dimensional transform domain, thereby having better noise suppression effect.Simulation results show that the algorithm can improve the reconstruction accuracy and has better signal-to-noise ratio than existing chaotic signal denoising algorithms. | HUANG Jinwang LYU Shanxiang CHEN Yue | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2021,30,3: | 3
A Single-cell Transcriptome Atlas of Cashmere Goat Hair Follicle Morphogenesis显示文摘Cashmere, also known as soft gold,is produced from the secondary hair follicles(SHFs)of cashmere goats. The number of SHFs determines the yield and quality of cashmere;therefore,it is of interest to investigate the transcriptional profiles present during cashmere goat hair follicle development. However, mechanisms underlying this development process remain largely unexplored, and studies regarding hair follicle development mostly use a murine research model. In this study,to provide a comprehensive understanding of cellular heterogeneity and cell fate decisions,single-cell RNA sequencing was performed on 19,705 single cells of the dorsal skin from cashmere goat fetuses at induction(embryonic day 60;E60),organogenesis(E90),and cytodifferentiation(E120)stages.For the first time, unsupervised clustering analysis identified 16 cell clusters, and their corresponding cell types were also characterized.Based on lineage inference,a detailed molecular landscape was revealed along the dermal and epidermal cell lineage developmental pathways.Notably, our current data also confirmed the heterogeneity of dermal papillae from different hair follicle types, which was further validated by immunofluorescence analysis. The current study identifies different biomarkers during cashmere goat hair follicle development and has implications for cashmere goat breeding in the future. | Wei Ge Weidong Zhang Yuelang Zhang Yujie Zheng Fang Li Shanhe Wang Jinwang Liu Shaojing Tan Zihui Yan Lu Wang Wei Shen Lei Qu Xin Wang | 2021 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2021,19,3: | 3
Drawing mechanisms for top coal in longwall top coal caving(LTCC):A review of two decades of literature显示文摘This review details the state of the art in research on top coal drawing mechanisms in Longwall top coal caving(LTCC)by examining the relevant literature over the last two decades. It startswith an introduction of the brief history and basic procedures of LTCC.The framework of research on the drawing mechanism, basic concepts, and some theoretical models of LTCC are detailed in sect.research framework of top coal drawingmechanism. The authors note that theTop coal drawbody(TCD),Top coal boundary(TCB)and Top coal recovery ratio(TCRR)are key factors in the drawingmechanism.TheBody-boundary-ratio(BBR)research system has been the classic framework for research over the last 20 years. The modified Bergmark-Roos model, which considers the effects of the supporting rear canopy, flowing velocity of top coal, and its shape factor,is optimal for characterizing the TCD.A 3Dmodel to describe the TCB that considers the thicknesses of the coal seam and roof strata is reviewed. In sect.physical testing and numerical simulation, the physical tests and numerical simulations in the literature are classified for ease of bibliographical review, and classic conclusions regarding the drawing mechanism of top coal are presented and discussedwith elaborate illustrations and descriptions. The deflection of the TCDis noted, and is caused by the shape of the rear canopy. The inclined coal seam always induces a largerTCD,and a deflection in theTCDhas also been observed in it.The effects of the drawing sequence and drawing interval on the TCRR are reviewed, where a long drawing interval is found to lead to significant loss of top coal. Its flowing behavior and velocity distribution are also presented.Sect.practical applications of drawingmechanisms forLTCCmines 4 summarizes over 10 cases where the TCRRof LTCCmines improved due to the guidance of the drawing mechanism. The final section provides a summary of the work here and some open questions.Prospective investigations are highlighted to give researchers guidance on promising issues in future research on LTCC. | Jiachen Wang Shengli Yang Weijie Wei Jinwang Zhang Zhengyang Song | 2021 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2021,8,6: | 3

Impact of longwall mining on groundwater above the longwall panel in shallow coal seams显示文摘Since longwall mining causes subsidence through the overlying strata to the ground surface, the surface water and groundwater above the longwall panels may be affected and drained into the lower levels. Therefore, loss or interruption of streams and overburden aquifers is a common concern in coal industry. This paper analyzed the potential effects of longwall mining on subsurface water system in shallow coal seam. In order to monitor different water level fluctuations throughout the mining period, three water wells were drilled down to the proposed deformation zone above the longwall panel. A GGU-SS-FLOW3 D model was used to predict water table contours for the periods of pre- and post-mining conditions. The field data from the three water wells were utilized to calibrate the model. The field test and numerical model can help to better understand the dewatering of shallow aquifers and surface waters related to ground subsidence from longwall mining in shallow coal seam. | Yang Li Syd S.Peng Jinwang Zhang | 2015 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2015,7,3: | 3
A microfluidic all-vanadium photoelectrochemical cell with a full-spectrum-responsive Ti2O3 photoanode for efficient solar energy storage显示文摘The all-vanadium photoelectrochemical cell is one of the promising solar energy storage technologies. However, conventional photoanodes surfer from low solar energy utilization efficiency as a result of narrow spectrum response and poor mass transfer.Hence, in this study, a microfluidic all-vanadium photoelectrochemical cell with a full-spectrum-responsive Ti2O3 photoanode was proposed for efficient solar energy storage. Experimental results indicated that the Ti2O3 photoanode responded to almost the full spectrum of sunlight and exhibited excellent photoresponse and operation stability, which facilitated efficient solar energy utilization. Additionally, the effects of the light intensity, vanadium ion concentration, and electrolyte flow rate were studied. It was found that increasing the light intensity and vanadium ion concentration and reducing the electrolyte flow rate promoted photoelectrochemical reactions and thus improved the solar energy storage performance. The obtained results demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of using Ti2O3 as the photoanode for a photoelectrochemical cell to achieve efficient solar energy storage. | LIN YingYing FENG Hao CHEN Rong YE DingDing ZHANG Biao YU YouXu LI JinWang | 2019 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2019,62,9: | 3
Analysis of large-scale UAV images using a multi-scale hierarchical representation显示文摘Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-based imaging systems have many superiorities compared with other platforms, such as high flexibility and low cost in collecting images, providing wide application prospects. However, the acquisition of the UAV-based image commonly results in very high resolution and very large-scale images, which poses great challenges for subsequent applications. Therefore,an efficient representation of large-scale UAV images is necessary for the extraction of the required information in a reasonable time.In this work,we proposed a multi-scale hierarchical representation,i.e.binary partition tree, for analyzing large-scale UAV images.More precisely,we first obtained an initial partition of images by an oversegmentation algorithm,i.e.the simple linear iterative clustering.Next,we merged the similar superpixels to build an object-based hierarchical structure by fully considering the spectral and spatial information of the superpixels and their topological relationships. Moreover, objects of interest and optimal segmentation were obtained using object-based analysis methods with the hierarchical structure.Experimental results on processing the post-seismic UAV images of the 2013 Ya’an earthquake and the mosaic of images in the South-west of Munich demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed method. | Huai Yu Jinwang Wang Yu Bai Wen Yang Gui-Song Xia | 2018 | Geo-Spatial Information Science2018,21,1: | 3

Expression of Brassica napus L. γ-Glutamylcysteine Synthetase and Low-and High-Affinity Sulfate Transporters in Response to Excess Cadmium显示文摘In both the roots and leaves ofBrassica napus L. cv. Youyan No. 8 under treatment with 30 μmol/L Cd, massive production of non-protein thiols (NPT; mainly containing glutathione (GSH) and phytochelatins (PCs)) was induced, together with an increase in γ-glutamylcysteine synthetase (γ-ECS)mRNA transcripts. Because γ-ECS is the key enzyme catalyzing the first step in GSH biosynthesis, which, in turn, is converted to PCs, the Cd-induced increase in γ-ECS expression may be responsible for the observed increase in the production of NPT. Using a quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) approach, the expression of genes encoding a putative low-affinity sulfate transporter (LAST) and a putative high-affinity sulfate transporter (HAST) was determined at the transcriptional level. The RT-PCR analysis of relative transcript amounts indicates that the LAST gene in B. napus leaves showed a constitutive expression, which was hardly affected by Cd treatment. However, treatment with 30 μmol/L Cd for 2 or 3 d induced a marked increase in the expression of LAST in roots. Transcriptional expression of the HAST gene occurred in roots, but not in leaves. The expression of HAST only in the roots suggests that it has a specific function in sulfate uptake from soil and that the putative LAST may be responsible for the transport of sulfate from the roots to the shoots, as well as for the uptake of sulfate from soil. These results indicate that changes in transcriptional expression for sulfate transporters were required for the increased demand for sulfate during Cd stress. | XinSUN Xue-MeiSUN Zhi-MinYANG Shao-QiongLI JinWANG Song-HuaWANG | 2005 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2005,47,2: | 2

Numerical investigation on the caving mechanism with different standard deviations of top coal block size in LTCC显示文摘The size distribution of the broken top coal blocks is an important factor, affecting the recovery ratio and the efficiency of drawing top coal in longwall top coal caving(LTCC)mining panel. The standard deviation of top coal block size(dt)is one of the main parameters to reflect the size distribution of top coal.To find the effect of dt on the caving mechanism, this study simulates experiments with 9 different dt by using discrete element software PFC.The dt is divided into two stages:uniform distribution stage(UDS)whose dt is less than 0.1(Schemes 1–5),and nonuniform distribution stage(NDS)whose dt is more than 0.1(Schemes 6–9).This research mainly investigates the variation of recovery ratio, drawing body shape, boundary of top coal, and contact force between particles in the two stages, respectively. The results showed that with the increasing dt,the recovery ratio of the panel increases first and then decreases in UDS.It is the largest in Scheme 3,which mainly increases the drawing volume at the side of starting drawing end. However, the recovery ratio decreases first and then increases quickly in NDS,and it is the largest in Scheme 9,where the drawing volume at the side of finishing drawing end are relatively higher. In UDS,the major size of top coal is basically medium, while in NDS,the size varies from medium to small, and then to large, with a distinct difference in shape and volume of the drawing body. When the major size of top coal is medium and small, the cross-section width of the initial boundary of top coal at each height is relatively small.Conversely, when the top coal size is large, the initial boundary of top coal has a larger opening range, the rotating angle of lower boundary is relatively small in the normal drawing stage, which is conducive to the development of drawing body and reduces the residual top coal, and the maximum particle velocity and the particles movement angle are both larger. This study lays a foundation for the prediction of recovery ratio, and suggests that the uniform top coal is more manageable and has a larger recovery ratio. | Jiachen Wang Weijie Wei Jinwang Zhang Brijes Mishra Ang Li | 2020 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,5: | 1
