Arabidopsis PEAPODs function with LIKE HETEROCHROMATIN PROTEIN1 to regulate lateral organ growth显示文摘In higher plants, lateral organs are usually of determinate growth. It remains largely elusive how the determinate growth is achieved and maintained.Previous reports have shown that Arabidopsis PEAPOD(PPD)proteins suppress proliferation of dispersed meristematic cells partly through a TOPLESS corepressor complex. Here,we identified a new PPD-interacting partner,LIKE HETEROCHROMATIN PROTEIN1(LHP1),using the yeast two-hybrid system, and their interaction is mediated by the chromo shadow domain and the Jas domain in LHP1 and PPD2,respectively.Our genetic data demonstrate that the phenotype of ppd2 lhp1 is more similar to lhp1 than to ppd2,indicating epistasis of lhp1 to ppd2.Microarray analysis reveals that PPD2 and LHP1 can regulate expression of a common set of genes directly or indirectly.Consistently, chromatin immunoprecipitation results confirm that PPD2 and LHP1 are coenriched at the promoter region of their targets such as D3-TYPE CYCLINS and HIGH MOBILITY GROUP A,which are upregulated in ppd2,lhp1 and ppd2 lhp1 mutants, and that PPDs mediate repressive histone 3 lysine-27 trimethylation at these loci.Taken together, our data provide evidence that PPD and LHP1 form a corepressor complex that regulates lateral organ growth. | Ying Zhu Xiao Luo Xuxin Liu Wenjuan Wu Xiaofeng Cui Yuehui He Jirong Huang | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,6: | 0
The Prevalence of Congenital Heart Disease among School-Age Children in China:A Meta-Analysis and Systematic Review显示文摘Objectives:To estimate the prevalence of Congenital Heart Disease(CHD)in school-age children,to identify the extent to which altitude affects the prevalence of the disease, and to examine trends in prevalence over time in China. Methods:Seven databases were systematically searched and last retrieved on September 10,2021 for all studies reporting the prevalence of CHD in children after 1970 in China, which were then divided into high and low altitude regions based on 2500 meters above sea level. The random-effected model was used to combine prevalence data and subgroups analysis. The baseline data of all cases and individuals were used for comparison to calculate the odds ratio(OR)for overall and different altitude prevalence. Results:A total of 12,926,083 individuals(aged 3-18 years),with 31,835 cases from 86 studies, were included in the analysis. The pooled CHD prevalence of total children was 4.69[95%confidence interval(CI):4.10 to 5.29]per 1000 children.Overall, temporal trends analysis indicated that the prevalence of CHD in children continuously decreased with time, from 6.19(95%CI:4.50 to 7.88)per 1000 children in 1976-1985 to 3.30(95%CI:2.49;4.38)per 1000 children in 2016-2021.The OR for the prevalence of CHD in children from high and low altitudes with baseline data was 2.84(95%CI:2.48 to 3.27)and 1.31(95%CI:1.13 to 1.53)(χ^(2)=53.89,p<0.01),respectively.The OR of the prevalence of CHD in male children compared to females was 0.60(95%CI:0.53 to 0.68)at high altitudes and 0.79(95%CI:0.71 to 0.89)at low altitudes.Among the seven most common subtypes, patent ductus arteriosus was the most common at high altitudes, while atrial septal defects were the most common at low altitudes. Conclusion:This study provides valuable insights for further disease prevention and etiological exploration. The overall decreasing trend in the prevalence of CHD in children over time may indicate a positive effect of perinatal management and treatment during infancy. | Shuqin Zhang Bin Zhang Jianying Wu Jin Luo Haomin Shi Jirong Qi Huilian Yang | 2023 | Congenital Heart Disease2023,18,2: | 0
Effects of processing parameters on microstructure of semi-solid magnesium alloy显示文摘In this paper, the effects of pouring temperature of magnesium melt, preheating temperature of the barrel of the screw mixer, and shear rate on the solidified microstructures of semi-solid slurry were investigated by a mechanical stirring semi-solid process. The appropriate processing parameters of slurry preparation were obtained, and the mold filling ability of semi-solid slurry for thin-walled casting was examined. Results indicate that the solid volume fraction of non-dendritic microstructure increases with a decrease in pouring temperature of magnesium melt and the barrel preheating temperature of the screw mixer. Also the grain size of primary α-phase is reduced. Furthermore, the solid volume fraction of semi-solid nondendritic structure decreases with an increase of shear rate. The fine and round granular microstructure with 30~50 μm in size of semi-solid AZ91D magnesium alloy was presented. Finally, a 1.0 mm thin-walled casting with a clear contour and good soundness was successfully made by semi-solid rheo-diecasting. | Shusen WU Dongnan LI Youwu MAO Zehui XIAO Jirong LUO | 2004 | China Foundry2004,1,1: | 0
Rapid preparation of ceramic moulds for medium-sized superalloy castings with magnesia-phosphate-bonded bauxite-mullite investments显示文摘Phosphate-bonded investments have already been widely utilized in dental restoration and micro-casting of artistic products for its outstanding rapid setting and high strength. However, the rapid setting rate of investment slurry has up to now been a barrier to extend the use of such slurry in preparation of medium-sized ceramic moulds. This paper proposes a new process of rapid fabrication of magnesia-phosphate-bonded investment ceramic moulds for medium-sized superalloy castings utilizing bauxite and mullite as refractory aggregates. In order to determine the properties of magnesia-phosphate-bonded bauxite-mullite investments (MPBBMI), a series of experiments were conducted, including modifciation of the workable time of slurry by liquid(mL)/powder(g)(L/P) ratio and addition of boric acid as retard agent and sodium tri-polyphosphate (STP) as strengthening agent, and adjustment of bauxite (g)/mullite(g)(B/M) ratio for mechanical strength. Mechanical vibration was applied to improve initial setting time and fluidity when pouring investment slurry; then an intermediate size ceramic mould for superalloy castings was manufactured by means of this rapid preparing process with MPBBMI material. The results showed that the MPBBMI slurry exhibits proper initial setting time and excellent fluidity when the L/P ratio is 0.64 and the boric acid content is 0.88wt.%. The fired specimens made from the MPBBMI material demonstrated adequate compression strength to withstand impact force of molten metal when the B/M ratio is 0.89 and the STP content is 0.92wt.%. The experimental results confirmed the feasibility of the proposed rapid fabricating process for medium-sized ceramic moulds with MPBBMI material by appropriate measures. | Li Tingzhong Luo Jirong Wu Shusen | 2010 | China Foundry2010,7,4: | 0
Study on direct-chain diacid modified phenolic resin for Al-alloy casting显示文摘Resin coated sand (RCS) with phenolic resin matrix can hardly be collapsed when it is used in Al-alloy casting. Adding collapsing agent and reducing the concentration of resin are solutions adopted by workers, but these methods tend to reduce the initial strength of RCS. Synthesis of modified phenolic resin with direct-chain diacid DAn (/JS=6, where n means carbon amount) was studied here. The effects of the addition of modifying agent on molecular weight, gel time and softening point were investigated. Optimal addition of DAn (10% phenol) was obtained by testing the initial and retained flexural strengths of the modified resin. FT-IR spectra showed that carbonyl shifts to higher wave number. With the use of TG, SEM and strength loss curves, the relation between initial and retained strengths was analysed. Tests on the heated deformation curve, before and after resin modification, show that PF-DA10 has the characteristic of higher initial and retained strengths together. | Yundong JI Jirong LUO Moyin LI | 2005 | China Foundry2005,2,1: | 0
Mandibular Buccal Bifurcation Cyst:Report of Two Cases显示文摘Mandibular buccal bifurcation cyst is a rare inflammatory odontogenic cyst.We reported two cases who complained of painful swelling of extraoral soft tissue.Intraoral examination revealed the partially erupted mandibular first molar.Cone beam computed tomography showed a well-defined cystic lesion surrounding the first molar.Histopathologic images showed the cyst wall was infiltrated by a large number of plasma cells, neutrophils and eosinophils, and lined with a thin layer of non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelium. Finally, the two patients were diagnosed as mandibular buccal bifurcation cyst and treated with cyst enucleation and curettage. | Yaoran Liu Jirong Chen Lei Wang Kexiong Ouyang Luo Huang | 2022 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2022,37,2: | 0
Anomalous Specific Heat Behavior of Nanocrystalline Fe at Low Temperatures显示文摘The specific heat of nanocrystalline iron with grain size of 40nm has been measured in the low temperature range from 1.8 to 26K.The anomalous specific heat behavior of nanocrystalline iron is compared to that of the standard bulk iron.It is found that the electronic specific heat coefficientγobtained at low temperatures decreases by about 50%.A T^(2) term in the heat capacity associated with surface modes has been clearly observed.A large enhancement of the specific heat at temperatures above 16K may be interpreted as the Einstein oscillator contributions. | BAI Haiyang LUO Jianlin JIN Duo SUN Jirong | 1995 | Chinese Physics Letters1995,12,9: | 0
