| 3 | Stem CO_(2) efflux of Abies fabri in subalpine forests in the Gongga Mountains,Eastern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Aims Despite the importance of stem cO_(2)efflux(Es)in ecosystem carbon cycling and energy balance,little is known about temporal variation in the temperature coefficient(Q10)and sapwood nitrogen concen-trations([N])and their intrinsic links with Es.The objectives of this study were:(i)to examine the response of Es to temperature in a subalpine region and(ii)to explore the influence of stem diameter and[N]on Es.Also,we will test the hypothesis that(i)Es in trees has thermal acclimation and(ii)Es will be well correlated with diameter at breast height(DBH)and[N].Methods Here,a horizontally oriented soil chamber technique was applied to measure Es of Abies fabri in two subalpine forest stands in Southwestern china from May to December 2014.We also exam-ined the variability in Es,Q10 and[N]in trees and monitored the relationship between temperature,[N],DBH and Es.Important Findings During the measurement period,Es showed an apparent seasonal trend,following the change in air temperature,increasing from May and peaking in July,then continuously decreasing until December.The mean Es for the growing and dormant seasons were 1.45 and 0.25μmol·m^(−2)·s^(−1),respectively,and Es in the mature forest was sig-nificantly higher than in the immature forest.The area-based Es was positively correlated with DBH and sapwood width(SW),while volume-based Es showed negative relationship with DBH and SW.Across the five diameter classes,69.8-89.0%of the variation in Es could be explained by air temperature.The temperature sensitiv-ity(Q10)of Es ranged from 2.98 to 5.61 during the measurement period,with a higher Q10 appearing in the growing season than in the dormant season.There was a significant linear relationship(P<0.01)between[N]and Es(expressed based on two different units).Additionally,exponential models of Es against[N]and air temperature were applied to estimate Es. | Guang Zhao Gangcai Liu Wanze Zhu Jixia Zhao Xuemei Wang Yaoyao Wang Min Jia | 2017 | Journal of Plant Ecology2017,10,6: | 1 |

| 5 | Downy feather-like para-aramid fibers and nonwovens with enhanced absorbency,air filtration and thermal insulation performances显示文摘Fiber morphology with off-standing branches,as found in nature,e.g.,in goose downy feather,provides exquisite functions that can be barely achieved by man-made fiber systems.In this work,we develop a simple and scalable method for generating downy feather-like para-aramid fibers and assemblies.Through treating commercial para-aramid microfibers with mild alkaline solution(low concentration of NaOH),a synergistic effect of chemical hydrolysis and physical shearing is successfully triggered to generate abundant nanofiber branches on the surface of para-aramid fibers.When compared with conventional monotonous structures,nonwovens composed of downy feather-like fibers exhibit a typical multiscale fiber morphology,larger specific surface area and smaller pore size,thus showing enhanced particles adsorption capacity(over twice of the pristine nonwoven),excellent oil absorption capacity(increased by~50%),improved air filtration performances(doubled the filtration efficiency)and effective thermal insulation(thermal conductivity=26.1 mW·m^(−1)·K^(−1)).More attractively,the intrinsic flame-retardant nature of para-aramid is well inherited by the downy feather-like fibers,and the fabrication process requires neither sophisticated equipment,nor tedious procedures,making us believe the strong competitiveness of these fibers and assemblies. | Kangli Xu Jixia Deng Guangliang Tian Lei Zhan Jiajia Ma Lijun Wang Qinfei Ke Chen Huang | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,6: | 1 |

| 7 | Incorporating Exercise Efficiency to Evaluate the Accessibility and Capacity of Medical Resources in Tibet, China显示文摘Accessibility and capacity of medical resources are key for the health care and emergency response, while the efficiency of the medical resources is very much limited by hypoxia in Tibet, China.Through introducing exercise efficiency, this study explores the accessibility of township residence to county-ship medical resources in Tibet using weighted mean travel time(WMT), and evaluates the medical capacity accordingly.The results show that: 1) the average travel time of township residence to county-level hospital is around2 h by motor vehicle in Tibet.More than half of the population can not reach the county-ship hospital within 1 h, 33.24% of the population can not reach within 2 h, and 3.75% of the population can not reach within 6 h.2) When considering the catchment of the medical resources and the population size, the WMT of the county-ship medical resources ranges from 0.25 h to 10.92 h.3) After adjusted by travel time and exercise efficiency, the county-ship medical capacity became more unequal, with 38 out of 74 counties could not meet the national guideline of 1.8 medical beds per 1000.4) In total, there are 17 counties with good WMT and sufficient medical resources,while 13 counties having very high WMT and low capacity of medical resources in Tibet.In the end, suggestions on medical resources relocation and to improve the capacity are provided.This study provides a method to incorporate exercise efficiency to access the accessibility and evaluate medical capacity that can be applied in high altitude ranges. | WANG Li YANG Linsheng WEI Binggan LI Hairong CAI Hongyan HUANG Jixia YUAN Xing | 2023 | Chinese Geographical Science2023,33,1: | 0 |

| 11 | The Electromagnetic Characteristics of the Tianlai Cylindrical Pathfinder Array显示文摘A great challenge for 21 cm intensity mapping experiments is the strong foreground radiation which is orders of magnitude brighter than the 21 cm signal.Removal of the foreground takes advantage of the fact that its frequency spectrum is smooth while the redshifted 21 cm signal spectrum is stochastic.However,a complication is the nonsmoothness of the instrument response.This paper describes the electromagnetic simulation of the Tianlai cylinder array,a pathfinder for 21 cm intensity mapping experiments.Due to the vast scales involved,a direct simulation requires a large amount of computing resources.We have made the simulation practical by using a combination of methods:first simulate a single feed,then an array of feed units,finally with the feed array and a cylindrical reflector together,obtain the response for a single cylinder.We studied its radiation pattern,bandpass response and the effects of mutual coupling between feed units,and compared the results with observation.Many features seen in the measurement result are reproduced well in the simulation,especially the oscillatory features which are associated with the standing waves on the reflector.The mutual coupling between feed units is quantified with Sparameters,which decrease as the distance between the two feeds increases.Based on the simulated S-parameters,we estimate the correlated noise which has been seen in the visibility data,and the results show very good agreement with the data in both magnitude and frequency structures.These results provide useful insights on the problem of 21 cm signal extraction for real instruments. | Shijie Sun Jixia Li Fengquan Wu Peter Timbie Reza Ansari Jingchao Geng Huli Shi Albert Stebbins Yougang Wang Juyong Zhang Xuelei Chen | 2022 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2022,22,6: | 0 |

| 15 | A Simulation of Calibration and Map-making Errors of the Tianlai Cylinder Pathfinder Array显示文摘The Tianlai cylinder array is a pathfinder for developing and testing 21 cm intensity mapping techniques.In this paper,we use numerical simulation to assess how its measurement is affected by thermal noise and the errors in calibration and map-making process,and the error in the sky map reconstructed from a drift scan survey.Here we consider only the single frequency,unpolarized case.The beam is modeled by fitting to the electromagnetic simulation of the antenna,and the variations of the complex gains of the array elements are modeled by Gaussian processes.Mock visibility data are generated and run through our data processing pipeline.We find that the accuracy of the current calibration is limited primarily by the absolute calibration,where the error comes mainly from the approximation of a single dominating point source.We then studied the m-mode map-making with the help of Moore-Penrose inverse.We find that discarding modes with singular values smaller than a threshold could generate visible artifacts in the map.The impacts of the residue variation of the complex gain and thermal noise are also investigated.The thermal noise in the map varies with latitude,being minimum at the latitude passing through the zenith of the telescope.The angular power spectrum of the reconstructed map show that the current Tianlai cylinder pathfinder,which has a shorter maximum baseline length in the North-South direction,can measure modes up to l■2πb_(NS)/λ~200 very well,but would lose a significant fraction of higher angular modes when noise is present.These results help us to identify the main limiting factors in our current array configuration and data analysis procedure,and suggest that the performance can be improved by reconfiguration of the array feed positions. | Kaifeng Yu Fengquan Wu Shifan Zuo Jixia Li Shijie Sun Yougang Wang Xuelei Chen | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,10: | 0 |
