| 1 | Heavy metals in rice and garden vegetables and their potential health risks to inhabitants in the vicinity of an industrial zone in Jiangsu, China显示文摘Contamination of soil and agricultural products by heavy metals resulting from rapid industrial development has caused major concern. In this study, we investigated heavy metal (Cu, Zn, Pb, Cr, Hg and Cd) concentrations in rice and garden vegetables, as well as in cultivated soils, in a rural-industrial developed region in southern Jiangsu, China, and estimated the potential health risks of metals to the inhabitants via consumption of locally produced rice and garden vegetables. A questionnaire-based survey on dietary consumption rates of foodstuffs showed that rice and vegetables accounted for 64% of total foodstuffs consumed, and over 60% of rice and vegetables were grown in the local region. Average concentrations of Cr, Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg and Pb were 0.75, 2.64, 12.00, 0.014, 0.006 and 0.054 mg/kg dw (dry weight) in rice and were 0.67, 1.18, 4.34, 0.011, 0.002 and 0.058 mg/kg fw (fresh weight) in garden vegetables, respectively. These values were all below the maximum allowable concentration in food in China except for Cr in vegetables. Leafy vegetables had higher metal concentrations than solanaceae vegetables. Average daily intake of Cr, Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg and Pb through the consumption of rice and garden vegetables were 5.66, 16.90, 74.21, 0.10, 0.04 and 0.43 μg/(kg·day), respectively. Although Hazard Quotient values of individual metals were all lower than 1, when all six metal intakes via self-planted rice and garden vegetables were combined, the Hazard Index value was close to 1. | 2 | Channel Measurement and Path Loss Modeling from 220 GHz to 330 GHz for 6G Wireless Communications显示文摘Terahertz(THz)communication has been envisioned as a key enabling technology for sixthgeneration(6G).In this paper,we present an extensive THz channel measurement campaign for 6G wireless communications from 220 GHz to 330 GHz.Furthermore,the path loss is analyzed and modeled by using two single-frequency path loss models and a multiplefrequencies path loss model.It is found that at most frequency points,the measured path loss is larger than that in the free space.But at around 310 GHz,the propagation attenuation is relatively weaker compared to that in the free space.Also,the frequency dependence of path loss is observed and the frequency exponent of the multiple-frequencies path loss model is 2.1.Moreover,the cellular performance of THz communication systems is investigated by using the obtained path loss model.Simulation results indicate that the current inter-site distance(ISD)for the indoor scenario is too small for THz communications.Furthermore,the tremendous capacity gain can be obtained by using THz bands compared to using microwave bands and millimeter wave bands.Generally,this work can give an insight into the design and optimization of THz communication systems for 6G. | Pan Tang Jianhua Zhang Haoyu Tian Zhaowei Chang Jun Men Yuxiang Zhang Lei Tian Liang Xia Qixing Wang Jingsuo He | 2021 | China Communications2021,18,5: | 7 |

| 4 | Analysis on Volatile Constituents in Leaves and Fruits of Ficus carica by GC-MS显示文摘Objective To identify and analyze the volatile constituents in the leaves and fruits of Ficus carica. Methods Gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) were used. Results The major components detected in volatile oil of the leaves were psoralen (10.12%), β-damascenone (10.17%), benzyl alcohol (4.56%), behenic acid (4.79%), and bergapten (1.99%), etc. The major components detected in volatile oil of the fruits were furfural (10.55%), 5-methyl-2-furaldehyde (10.1%), and benzeneacetaldehyde (6.59%), etc. Conclusion A total of 121 volatile constituents are identified in the leaves and 108 in the fruits of F. carica, among which 103 constituents are identified for the first time in the leaves and 100 in the fruits. | 8 | Estimating the minimum in-stream flow requirements via wetted perimeter method based on curvature and slope techniques显示文摘Under the assumptions of triangular cross section channel and uniform stable flow, an analytical solution of the minimum ecological in-stream flow requirement (MEIFR) is deduced. Based on the analytical solution, the uncertainty of the wetted perimeter method is analyzed by comparing the two techniques for the determination of the critical point on the relationship curve between wetted perimeter, P and discharge, Q. It is clearly shown that the results of MEIFR based on curvature technique (corresponding to the maximum curvature) and slope technique (slope being 1) are significantly different. On the P-Q curve, the slope of the critical point with the maximum curvature is 0.39 and the MEIFR varied prominently with the change of the slope threshold. This indicates that if a certain value of the slope threshold is not available for slope technique, curvature technique may be a better choice. By applying the analytical solution of MEIFR in the losing rivers of the Western Route South-to-North Water Transfer Project in China, the MEIFR value via curvature technique is 2.5%-23.7% of the multi-year average annual discharge, while that for slope technique is 11%-105.7%. | 9 | Further understanding of an uncommon disease of combined small cell lung cancer: clinical features and prognostic factors of 114 cases显示文摘Objective: Combined small cell lung cancer(C-SCLC) is an uncommon subgroup of small cell lung cancer(SCLC) and few clinical data can be referred.Our study is to investigate the clinical features and prognostic factors of C-SCLC, as well as the role of multimodality treatment.Methods: Between January 2004 and December 2012, patients with histologically diagnosed C-SCLC were retrospectively analyzed.The survivals were evaluated with the Kaplan-Meier method.Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to evaluate potential prognostic factors.Results: One hundred and fourteen patients were enrolled, with a median age of 59(range: 20-79) years old.The most common combined component was squamous cell carcinoma(52.6%).Among these patients, the disease was stage Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ in 9.6%, 19.3%, 46.5% and 24.6% of the patients, respectively.Eighty patients(70.2%)received at least two of the three modalities containing chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.The median follow-up was 32.5 months.The median time of overall survival(OS) was 26.2 months.On univariate analysis,smoking(P=0.029), Karnofsky performance score(KPS) <80(P=0.000), advanced TNM stage(P=0.000), no surgery(P=0.010), positive resection margin(P=0.000), positive lymph nodes ≥4(P=0.000), positive lymph node ratio >10%(P=0.000) and non-multimodality treatment(P=0.004) were associated with poor OS.Multivariate analysis confirmed that smoking, advanced TNM stage, positive resection margin and positive lymph nodes ratio>10% were poor prognostic features.Conclusions: C-SCLC has a relatively early stage and good prognosis, which may due to the underestimated diagnosis in non-surgical patients.Multimodality therapy is recommended, especially for limited disease.Smoking,advanced TNM stage, positive resection margin and positive lymph nodes ratio >10% are poor prognostic factors. | Yu Men Zhouguang Hui Jun Liang Qinfu Feng Dongfu Chen Hongxing Zhang Zefen Xiao Zongmei Zhou Weibo Yin Luhua Wang | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2016,28,5: | 2 |

Methods Six experimental swines were surgically fixed with a simple T-cannula at the terminal ileum and fed with parental rice and rice genetically modified with sck gene alternately. The ileum digesta were collected and analyzed for determination of apparent and true digestibility of protein and amino acids. Results The apparent and true digestibility of protein was similar in these two types of rice. Except for the apparent digestibility of lysine, there was no difference in the apparent and true digestibility of the other 17 amino acids.
