1A new bone repair scaffold combined with chitosan/ hydroxyapatite and sustained releasing icariin显示文摘Icariin, a plant-derived flavonol glycoside, has been proved as an osteoinductive agent for bone tissue engineering. A new bone repair scaffold was generated by thorough mixing of icariin and chitosan/ hydroxyapatite (icariin-CS/HA) using freeze-drying technigue. Characteristics of morphology, mechanical properties, biocompatibility, drug release behavior and bone repair abilities in vivo were evaluated. The results show that drug loading process of icariin did not affect physical structure of CS/HA composite significantly but decreased mechanical properies of CS/HA composite, which happened with a high dosage; icariin-CS/HA had favorable cell compatibility and promoted osteogenic differentiation of hBMSCs; the controlled release of icariin was satisfactory and the release retained after 90 d in vitro. In addition, icariin-CS/HA scaffolds had favorable osteoconduction and osteoinduction in vivo, and could fill bone defect sites and stimulate newborn bone tissues formation at early stage. 4Radiation-induced one-pot synthesis of grafted covalent organic frameworks显示文摘Post-synthetic functionalization of covalent organic frameworks(COFs)is an alternative way to enhance and broaden their properties and potential applications.However,the chemical functionalization of COFs is a great challenge because traditional procedures are often time-and energy-consuming,while the crystallinity of COFs can be damaged under harsh conditions.Here we report the in-situ introduction of functional graft chains onto the skeleton of COFs during the synthesis process through the combination of radiation-induced synthesis and graft polymerization techniques under ^(60)Co gamma-ray radiation.The synthesis and functionalization of COFs are simultaneously accomplished in a chemical system under ambient conditions yielding a large number of different functionalized COFs.The obtained carboxyl-functionalized COFs exhibit excellent radioactive uranium removal capabilities from aqueous solution with fast uptake dynamics,high adsorption capacity,and excellent selectivity over other competing metal ions.Mingxing Zhang Mengjia Yuan Xiaofang Zhao Junchang Chen Linwei He Qianhong Gao Jiangtao Hu Guozhong Wu Zhifang Chai Shuao Wang 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,6:0
5Fast filtering false active subspaces for efficient high dimensional similarity processing显示文摘The query space of a similarity query is usually narrowed down by pruning inactive query subspaces which contain no query results and keeping active query subspaces which may contain objects corre-sponding to the request. However,some active query subspaces may contain no query results at all,those are called false active query subspaces. It is obvious that the performance of query processing degrades in the presence of false active query subspaces. Our experiments show that this problem becomes seriously when the data are high dimensional and the number of accesses to false active sub-spaces increases as the dimensionality increases. In order to solve this problem,this paper proposes a space mapping approach to reducing such unnecessary accesses. A given query space can be re-fined by filtering within its mapped space. To do so,a mapping strategy called maxgap is proposed to improve the efficiency of the refinement processing. Based on the mapping strategy,an index structure called MS-tree and algorithms of query processing are presented in this paper. 6Amyloid precursor-like protein 2 C-terminal fragments upregulate S100A9 gene and protein expression in BV2 cells显示文摘The murine microglial cell line BV2 has neuroprotective effects, but is toxic to neurons by secreting inflammatory cytokines, and is an important target in the treatment of nerve inflammation and neurodegenerative diseases. In the present study, we observed the effects of transfecting three amyloid precursor-like protein 2(APLP2) C-terminal fragments(CTFs; C57, C50 and C31) in the p EGFP-N1 vector on S100A9 expression in BV2 cells. Reverse transcription-PCR, western blot assay and immunocytochemistry revealed that S100A9 protein and m RNA expression was greater in BV2 cells after CTF transfection than after mock transfection with an empty vector. Furthermore, transfection of full-length APLP2-751 resulted in low levels of S100A9 protein expression.
