1Glacier changes during the last forty years in the Tarim Interior River basin,northwest China显示文摘By comparing digitized glacier outlines from the Chinese Glacier Inventory (CGI) during the 1960s-1970s and Landsat Enhance Thematic Mapper (ETM+) images from 1999 to 2001, we investigated changes for about 7665 alpine glaciers among 11665 glaciers in seven sub-basins of the Tarim Interior River basin (TIRB). The results showed that the total glacier area was reduced by 3.3% from the 1960s/ 1970s to 1999/2001 and area losses for 1-5 km2 glaciers accounted for 48.3% of the total glacier area loss in the TIRB. However, the glacier area reductions varied from 0.7% to 7.9% among the seven sub-basins of the TIRB during the study period. The glacier area changing with altitude showed that the maximum contribution of area shrinkage occurred at 4900-5400 m. Data from 25 meteorological stations in the TIRB showed increases in both the annual mean air temperature and annual precipitation during 1960-2000. 3Propofol differentially induces unconsciousness and respiratory depression through distinct interactions between GABAa receptor and GABAergic neuron in corresponding nuclei显示文摘Propofol is the most commonly used intravenous anesthetic worldwide.It can induce loss of consciousness prior to the occurrence of severe respiratory suppression,which is also a pharmacodynamic feature of all general anesthetics.However,the neural mechanisms underlying this natural phenomenon are controversial and highly related to patient safety.In the present study,we demonstrated that the pharmacodynamic effects of propofol(50 and 100 μM)on suppression of consciousness-related excitatory postsynaptic currents in the medial prefrontal cortex(mPFC)and centromedian nucleus of the thalamus(CMT)were lower than those in the kernel respiratory rhythmogenesis nucleus pre-Botzinger complex(PrBo).Furthermore,we unexpectedly found that the GABAa receptor β3 subunit is the key target for propofol's action and that it is mutually and exclusively expressed in GABAergic neurons.It is also more abundant in the mPFC and CMT,but mainly co-localized with GABAergic neurons in the PrBo.As a result,the differentiated expression pattern should mediate more neuron suppression through the activation of GABAergic neurons in the mPFC and CMT at low doses of propofol(50 μM).However,PrBo GABAergic neurons were only activated by propofol at a high dose(100 μM).These results highlight the detailed pharmacodynamic effects of propofol on consciousness-related and respiration-related nuclei and provide the distinct interaction mechanism between the β3 subunit and GABAergic neurons in mediating the suppression of consciousness compared to the inhibition of respiration.Junli Jiang Yingfu Jiao Po Gao Wen Yin Wei Zhou Yunchun Zhang Yanjun Liu Daxiang Wen Yuan Wang Liang Zhou Tian Yu Weifeng Yu 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,8:11

5Developing a bacteriophage cocktail for biocontrol of potato bacterial wilt显示文摘Bacterial wilt is a devastating disease of potato and can cause an 80% production loss. To control wilt using bacteriophage therapy, we isolated and characterized twelve lytic bacteriophages from different water sources in Kenya and China. Based on the lytic curves of the phages with the pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum, one optimal bacteriophage cocktail, P1, containing six phage isolations was formulated and used for studying wilt prevention and treatment efficiency in potato plants growing in pots. The preliminary tests showed that the phage cocktail was very effective in preventing potato bacterial wilt by injection of the phages into the plants or decontamination of sterilized soil spiked with R. solanacearum. Eighty percent of potato plants could be protected from the bacterial wilt(caused by R. solanacearum reference strain GIM1.74 and field isolates), and the P1 cocktail could kill 98% of live bacteria spiked in the sterilized soil at one week after spraying.However, the treatment efficiencies of P1 depended on the timing of application of the phages, the susceptibility of the plants to the bacterial wilt, as well as the virulence of the bacteria infected,suggesting that it is important to apply the phage therapy as soon as possible once there are early signs of the bacterial wilt. 6Differential effects of controlled hypotension on gastric intramucosal pH and post-operational gastrointestinal functional under two different anesthesia methods显示文摘Objective:To observe the effects of controlled hypotension on gastric intramucosal pH and post-operational gastrointestinal functions using two specific anesthesia methods.Methods:Thirty patients(ASAⅡ)scheduled for ectomy of hepatocarcinoma,were randomly assigned to two groups:epidural block combined with intravenous anesthesia group(E group)and inhalation anesthesia group(G group).Gastric PgCO2 and pHi were monitored at different time points,before theintravenous induction of controlled hypotension,after 1 h and2 h,and 1 h after the termination of controlled hypotension.In the meanwhile,the artery blood gas was analyzed.Results:There was no significant difference in blood gas indexes between E group and G group.However,pHi decreased significantly after 1 h and 2 h of controlled hypotension(P <0.05),and during the same periods PgCO2 increased significantly(P <0.05 or P <0.01),the time of bowelm ovement and defecating deferred significantly shorter in G group patients,when compared with E group patients.Conclusion:Epidural block in combination with general anesthesia can improve gastrointestinal blood flow during controlled hypotension and facilitates post-operational recovery of gastrointestinal functions.Guanglei Wang Junli Cao Gongjian Liu 2008Journal of Nanjing Medical University2008,22,1:7
7左归复方对MKR转基因2型糖尿病鼠PPARγ表达的影响显示文摘目的观察左归复方(滋阴益气活血解毒组方)干预治疗MKR小鼠后,糖代谢及PPARγ在肝脏、骨骼肌和脂肪组织中的表达变化。方法取MKR小鼠40只,经鉴定后随机分为MKR模型组、左归复方高、低剂量组、文迪雅组(阳性药对照组),每组10只,C57野生鼠10只作为空白对照组。各药物组分别以相应剂量连续给药30d。末次给药后0.5h,空腹测定血糖;心脏取血,放射免疫法测定血清胰岛素,RT-PCR法检测PPARγmRNA在肝脏、骨骼肌中的表达,Western Blotting及免疫组化法检测PPARγ蛋白在肝脏、骨骼肌和脂肪组织中的表达。结果左归复方干预治疗后,其高剂量组具有显著的降低MKR小鼠空腹血糖、改善高胰岛素血症的作用(P<0.05或P<0.01)。与C57野生鼠组比较,MKR模型组小鼠肝脏和骨骼肌PPARγmRNA表达均显著下调(P<0.01),而其蛋白表达在骨骼肌和脂肪组织中也显著下调(P<0.05);经左归复方治疗后,与MKR模型组比较,左归复方高剂量组MKR鼠肝脏和骨骼肌PPARγmRNA表达均明显上调(P<0.05),PPARγ蛋白表达在三种组织中均显著上调(P<0.05或P<0.01)。左归复方上调各组织中PPARγmRNA及蛋白表达与阳性对照药文迪雅组作用相当(P>0.05)。结论左归复方具有显著的改善MKR鼠糖代谢的作用,其机制与上调肝脏、骨骼肌和脂肪组织中PPARγ表达,增强外周组织对胰岛素的敏感性,改善胰岛素抵抗有关。成细华 喻嵘 吴勇军 胡伟 肖曼江 李萍 赵愈 伍参荣 JunLi LIU 2009中药新药与临床药理2009,20,2:7

9Screen-imaging guidance using a modified portable video macroscope for middle cerebral artery occlusion显示文摘The use of operating microscopes is limited by the focal length.Surgeons using these instruments cannot simultaneously view and access the surgical field and must choose one or the other.The longer focal length (more than 1 000 mm) of an operating telescope permits a position away from the operating field,above the surgeon and out of the field of view.This gives the telescope an advantage over an operating microscope.We developed a telescopic system using screen-imaging guidance and a modified portable video macroscope constructed from a Computar MLH-10 × macro lens,a DFK-21AU04 USB CCD Camera and a Dell laptop computer as monitor screen.This system was used to establish a middle cerebral artery occlusion model in rats.Results showed that magnification of the modified portable video macroscope was appropriate (5-20 ×) even though the Computar MLH-10 × macro lens was placed 800 mm away from the operating field rather than at the specified working distance of 152.4 mm with a zoom of 1-40 ×.The screen-imaging telescopic technique was clear,life-like,stereoscopic and matched the actual operation.Screen-imaging guidance led to an accurate,smooth,minimally invasive and comparatively easy surgical procedure.Success rate of the model establishment evaluated by neurological function using the modified neurological score system was 74.07%.There was no significant difference in model establishment time,sensorimotor deficit and infarct volume percentage.Our findings indicate that the telescopic lens is effective in the screen surgical operation mode referred to as 'long distance observation and short distance operation' and that screen-imaging guidance using an modified portable video macroscope can be utilized for the establishment of a middle cerebral artery occlusion model and micro-neurosurgery.Xingbao Zhu Junli Luo Yun Liu Guolong Chen Song Liu Qiangjin Ruan Xunding Deng Dianchun Wang Quanshui Fan Xinghua Pan 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,12:6

11Liposomes for systematic delivery of vancomycin hydrochloride to decrease nephrotoxicity:Characterization and evaluation显示文摘Vancomycin hydrochloride(VANH),the first glycopeptide antibiotic,is a water-soluble drug for the treatment of acute osteomyelitis.Liposomal formulations of VANH have already been manipulated and characterized,which was a mean of increasing their therapeutic index,reducing their toxicity and altering drug biodistribution.One of the challenges for preparing VANH-Lips is their low encapsulation efficiency(EE).In the present study,we aim to improve the liposomal formulation of VANH for higher EE,longer systemic circulation,reduced nephrotoxicity and enhanced antimicrobial activities.Vancomycin hydrochloride-loaded liposomes(VANH-Lips)were formulated by the method of modified reverse phase evaporation.Based on the optimization of formulation with orthogonal experimental design,the average drug encapsulation efficiency and the mean particle size of VANH-Lips were found to be 40.78±2.56%and 188.4±2.77 nm.In vitro drug release of VANH-Lips possessed a sustained release characteristic and their release behavior was in accordance with the Weibull equation.After intravenous injection to mice,the mean residence time(MRT)of VANH-Lips group was significantly prolonged in vivo and the AUC value was improved as well compared with the vancomycin hydrochloride solution(VANH-Sol)group.Furthermore,the biodistribution results in mice showed that VANH-Lips decreased the accumulation of VANH in kidney after intravenous injection.In conclusion,VANH-Lips may be a potential delivery system for VANH to decrease nephrotoxicity in the treatment of osteomyelitis.Junli Liu Zhonglan Wang Fubing Li Jinhua Gao Longmei Wang Guihua Huang 2015Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2015,10,3:4
12Joint frequency,2-D DOA,and polarization estimation using parallel factor analysis显示文摘This paper proposes a new algorithm for joint frequency, two-dimensional (2-D) directions-of-arrival (DOA), and polarization estimation using parallel factor (PARAFAC) analysis model and cumulant. The proposed algorithm designs a new array configuration, and extends the PARAFAC analysis model from the common data-domain and subspace-domain to the cumulant one, and forms three-way arrays by using the three cumulant matrices obtained from the properly chosen dipole outputs, and analyzes the uniqueness of low-rank decomposition of the three-way arrays, and then jointly estimates the source parameters via the low-rank decomposition of the constructed PARAFAC model. In comparison with the conventional methods, the proposed method alleviates the aperture loss, and avoids pairing parameter. 13Concise and efficient direct-view generation of arbitrary cylindrical vector beams by a vortex half-wave plate显示文摘A concise, efficient, and practical direct-view scheme is presented to generate arbitrary cylindrical vector(CV)beams, including CV beams, vortex beams, and cylindrical vector vortex(CVV) beams, by a vortex half-wave plate(VHP). Six kinds of first-order and other high-order CV beams, such as azimuthally polarized(AP) beams, antivortex radial polarization mode beams, and three-order AP beams, are formed by simply rotating a half-wave plate. The Stokes parameters and double-slit interference of multitype CV beams are investigated in detail.The polarization parameters, including degree of polarization, polarization azimuth, and ellipticity, are obtained,which demonstrates the efficient generation of CV beams. In addition, the double-slit interference experiment is introduced in the setup, and fringe misplacement and tilt appear for CVV beams, in which the misplacement number M is 2P+1 for P ≤ 2 and 2P-1 for P ≥ 3, where P is the polarization order number, and the fringe tilt offset is positively related to the topological charge number l of CVV beams. In addition, new types of VHPs can be formed by cascading two or more VHPs when the types of available VHPs are limited, assisting in more flexible generation of multitype CV beams. 14Severity of early allograft dysfunction following donation after circulatory death liver transplantation:a multicentre study显示文摘Background:Early allograft dysfunction(EAD)is associated with decreased graft and patient survival rates.This study aimed to identify the severity of EAD and develop a predictive model for EAD after donation after circulatory death(DCD)liver transplantation(LT).Furthermore,the influence of operative time on EAD incidence was also evaluated.Methods:In this retrospective,multicentre cohort study,nomograms were established based on a single-centre training cohort(n=321)and validated in a 3-center validation cohort(n=501).Results:The incidence rate of EAD was 46.4%(149/321)in the training cohort and 40.5%(203/501)in the validation cohort.Of the 149 EAD patients in the training cohort,77 patients with either elevated alanine aminotransferase(ALT)or aspartate aminotransferase(AST)were classified as having EAD type A,and the rest of the EAD patients were classified as having EAD type B.Recipients with EAD type B had lower graft and patient survival rates than recipients with EAD type A(P=0.043 and 0.044,respectively).We further developed a nomogram to predict EAD(graft weight,cold ischemia time,donor age,model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score)and another nomogram to predict EAD type B(graft weight,cold ischemia time,MELD score).The nomograms for the prediction of EAD and EAD type B had good discrimination[concordance index(C-index)=0.712(0.666-0.758),0.707(0.641-0.773)]and calibration[Hosmer-Lemeshow(HL)P=0.384,P=0.425]in the validation cohort.An increased operative time(>6 h)was associated with increased EAD and EAD type B incidence in the high-risk group(P=0.005,P=0.020,respectively).Conclusions:EAD type B was associated with decreased graft and patient survival rates.The novel nomograms effectively predicted the incidence of EAD and EAD type B in DCD LT patients.Kun Wang Di Lu Yuhui Liu Wangyao Li Li Zhuang Zhenyu Ma Qinfen Xie Binhua Pan Yichao Wu Junli Chen Lidan Lin Xiaowen Feng Qiang Wei Xuyong Wei Haiyang Xie Zhengxin Wang Shusen Zheng Xiao Xu 2021Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,1:4
15Activation of anterior thalamic reticular nucleus GABAergic neurons promotes arousal from propofol anesthesia in mice显示文摘Propofol is widely used for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia,which causes a rapid loss of consciousness.However,the mechanisms underlying the hypnosis effect of propofol are still not fully understood.The thalamic reticular nucleus(TRN)is crucial for regulating wakefulness,sleep rhythm generation,and sleep stability,while the role of TRN in the process of propofol-induced anesthesia is still unknown.Here,we investigated the function of the anterior TRN in propofol general anesthesia.Our results demonstrated that the neural activity of anterior TRN is suppressed during propofol anesthesia,whereas it is robustly activated from anesthesia by recording the calcium signals using fiber photometry technology.The results showed that the activation of anterior TRN neurons by chemogenetic and optogenetic methods shortens the emergency time without changing the induction time.Conversely,chemogenetic or optogenetic inhibition of the TRN neurons leads to a delay in the recovery time.Our study showed that anterior TRN is crucial for behavioral arousal without affecting the induction time of propofol anesthesia.Yanjun Liu Bing Chen Yirong Cai Yuan Han Ying Xia Nanqi Li Bingqian Fan Tianjie Yuan Junli Jiang Po Gao Weifeng Yu Yingfu Jiao Wenxian Li 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,7:3
16Extracellular calmodulin accelerates rbcS-GUS expression in suspension-cultured transgenic tobacco cell显示文摘The role of extracellular calmodulin in regulating expression of rbcS in darkness was examined. A suspension-cultured cell line was generated from the transgenic rbcS-GUS tobacco. It was demonstrated that purified calmodulin added to the media enhanced rbcS-GUS expression. The time course of expression of rbcS-GUS and that of the secretion of calmodulin in the suspended transgenic tobacco cells in darkness were very similar. Both showed initial increase followed by decline with maximum calmodulin secretion preceding maximum GUS expression. The addition of membrane-impermeable calmodulin antagonist W7-agarose inhibited the expression of rbcS-GUS in darkness, but this inhibitory effect was completely reversed by adding exogenous purified calmodulin. 19Effect of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4,TNF-alpha polymorphisms on osteosarcoma: evidences from a meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:Previous studies have investigated the role of cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4(CTLA-4)and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)in carcinogenesis of osteosarcoma,but their results were inconsistent.We aimed to clarify the associations between CTLA-4,TNF-αpolymorphism and osteosarcoma risk by using meta-analysis.Methods:We searched relevant studies without language restriction in PubMed,EMbase,Cochrane Library,Google Scholar databases,Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and conference literature in humans published prior to March 2013.The strengths of the associations between genetic variants and osteosarcoma risk were estimated by odds ratio(OR)with 95%confidence interval(95%CI).Results:A total of seven studies with 1,198 osteosarcoma patients and 1,493 controls were selected.Four studies were eligible for CTLA-4(1,003 osteosarcoma and 1,162 controls),and three studies for TNF-α(195 osteosarcoma and 331 controls).Pooled results showed that rs231775 polymorphism of CTLA-4 was associated with osteosarcoma risk(GG vs.AA:OR=1.63,95%CI=1.24-2.13;GG+GA vs.AA:OR=1.56,95%CI=1.21-2.01;AA+GA vs.GG:OR=0.83,95%CI=0.71-0.97;G vs.A:OR=1.21,95%CI=1.08-1.36).No significant heterogeneity was observed across the studies.No significant associations were found between rs5742909 polymorphism of CTLA-4 or rs1800629 polymorphism of TNF-αand osteosarcoma risk.Conclusions:These results suggest that the rs231775 polymorphism of CTLA-4 may play an important role in carcinogenesis of osteosarcoma.Jianwei Liu Junli Wang Weiping Jiang Yujin Tang 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,6:3
