| 1 | High precision topographic data on Lop Nor basin's Lake 'Great Ear' ? and the timing of its becoming a dry salt lake显示文摘High precision elevation measurements using DGPS were carried out along three representative tran- sects for the 'Great Ear' area, a dry salt lake within the Lop Nor basin. Results indicate that the Lop Nor basin is only 5.2 m deep and its lowest point occurs at the center of the 'Great Ear'. In addition, the basin is asymmetric - steeper in the southwest (0.19‰) and gentler in the northeast (0.09‰). Points along the same 'Great Ear' ring were found to have an identical elevation value, but different when from different ones (lower towards the center). The spacing of the 'Great Ear' rings was found to be closely related with the surface steepness. The closer the 'Great Ear' rings are spaced, the steeper the ground surface, and vice versa. These findings support the argument that the 'Great Ear' rings are the former shoreline trails left behind by Lop Nor water during the last few episodes of recession towards its total dry up. A comprehensive analysis of the high precision elevation data, historical accounts, aerial and satellite photographs and imagery, and official topographic maps of the study area suggests that the 'Great Ear' area in the Lop Nor basin was incorrectly mapped as being covered by a great body of water on the 1963 topographic maps. A re-interpretation of the 1958 aerial photographs and newer remote sensing imagery indicated that the 'Great Ear' ring structure was already in place in 1958 and it continued to appear on the subsequent remote sensing data without any major changes. | 2 | An Ethylene-inhibited NF-YC Transcription Factor RhNF-YC9 Regulates Petal Expansion in Rose显示文摘The speed of flower opening is closely related to their ornamental period.Ethylene functions as a negative regulator involved in the regulation of the petal expansion process.In this study,we isolated a NF-YC transcription factor gene,RhNF-YC9,fromrose petals.RhNF-YC9 expression was induced at the early stages of flower opening but was inhibited by ethylene treatment.Silencing RhNF-YC9 decreased the speed of petal expansion from stage 2 to stage 5.The expressions of 11 cell expansion-related genes involved in cell wall loosening,cell turgor modulation,and cytoskeleton remodeling were significantly down-regulated in RhNF-YC9-silenced petals.We also found that silencing RhNF-YC9 decreased the expression of gibberellin acid(GA)biosynthetic gene RhGA20ox while significantly increasing the transcripts of GA catabolic gene RhGA2ox,reducing the accumulation of GA4 and GA7.The influence of ethylene treatment on the expression of RhGA20ox and RhGA2ox showed the same trend.These results together suggested that RhNF-YC9 positively regulated the speed of petal expansion and mediated the crosstalk between ethylene and GA.Our findings revealed a new insight into the function of NF-YC transcription factors involved in ethylene-regulated petal expansion. | Changxi Chen Nisar Hussain Yaru Wang Mingtong Li Lin Liu Meizhu Qin Nan Ma Junping Gao Xiaoming Sun | 2020 | Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,6: | 9 |
| 3 | Thermal conductivity of natural rubber nanocomposites with hybrid fillers显示文摘Natural rubber nanocomposites filled with hybrid fillers of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(CNTs) and carbon black(CB) were prepared. CNTs were ultrasonically modified in mixture of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) and distilled water(H2O). The functional groups on the surface of CNTs, changes in nanotube structure and morphology were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), Raman Spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). It shows that hydroxyl(OH·) is successfully introduced. The surface defects of modified CNTs were obviously higher than those of original CNTs, and the degree of agglomeration was greatly reduced. Thermal conductivity of the composites was tested by protection heat flow meter method. Compared with unmodified CNTs/CB filling system, the thermal conductivity of hybrid composites is improved by an average of 5.8% with 1.5 phr(phr is parts per hundred rubber) of hydroxyl CNTs and 40 phr of CB filled. A three-dimensional heat conduction network composed of hydroxyl CNTs and CB, as observed by TEM, contributes to the good properties. Thermal conductivity of the hybrid composites increases as temperature rises. | 11 | The Temporal Relation between Cardiomyopathy and LBBB and Response to Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy:Case Series and Literature Review显示文摘Background:Left bundle branch block(LBBB)-induced cardiomyopathy has been proposed,but the association between LBBB and cardiac resynchronization therapy(CRT)response remains unclear and practical criteria for selecting CRT candidates are needed.Methods:One hundred and seventeen consecutive heart failure patients were reviewed,24 of whom received CRT.Only two patients had a clear temporal relation between cardiomyopathy and LBBB.Results:Compared with the patient with“cardiomyopathy-induced LBBB,”the patient with“LBBB-induced cardiomyopathy”had higher left ventricular(LV)wall thickness,higher LV wall thickening rate,higher peak circumferential strain,and longer peak circumferential strain delay.The LV deformation patterns in the two patients were obviously distinct on cardiovascular magnetic resonance tissue tracking.During follow-up,the patient with LBBB-induced cardiomyopathy had a good response to CRT(LV ejection fraction 23 before CRT vs.30%at 6 months vs.29 at 12 months vs.32%at 18 months;LV end-diastolic diameter 77 mm before CRT vs.66 mm at 6 months vs.62 mm at 12 months vs.63 mm at 18 months),and the other patient had no response to CRT(LV ejection fraction 29 before CRT vs.29%at 6 months vs.26 at 12 months vs.22%at 24 months;LV end-diastolic diameter 85 mm before CRT vs.88 mm at 6 months vs.85 mm at 12 months vs.84 mm at 24 months).Conclusion:The temporal relation between cardiomyopathy and LBBB could be a determinant for CRT response.Cardiovascular magnetic resonance tissue tracking may be a useful tool to identify the chronological order and a principal consideration for selecting candidates for CRT.Larger prospective clinical trials are needed to study the prevalence of,time course of,and risk factors for LBBB-induced cardiomyopathy. | Sanshuai Chang Yi He Hui Wang Fei Guo Qiang Lv Junping Kang Rong Bai Xiaohui Liu Xin Du Changsheng Ma Jianzeng Dong | 2020 | Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications2020,,1: | 1 |

| 15 | CmNF-YB8 affects drought resistance in chrysanthemum by altering stomatal status and leaf cuticle thickness显示文摘Drought is a major abiotic stress that limits plant growth and development.Adaptive mechanisms have evolved to mitigate drought stress,including the capacity to adjust water loss rate and to modify the morphology and structure of the epidermis.Here,we show that the expression of CmNF-YB8,encoding a nuclear factor Y(NF-Y)B-type subunit,is lower under drought conditions in chrysanthemum(Chrysanthemum morifolium).Transgenicchrysanthemumlinesinwhich transcript levels of CmNF-YB8 were reduced by RNA interference(CmNF-YB8-RNAi)exhibited enhanced drought resistance relative to control lines,whereas lines overexpressing CmNF-YB8(CmNF-YB8-OX)were less tolerant to drought.Compared to wild type(WT),CmNF-YB8-RNAi plants showed reduced stomatal opening and a thicker epidermal cuticle that correlated with their water loss rate.We also identified genes involved in stomatal adjustment(CBLinteracting protein kinase 6,CmCIPK6)and cuticle biosynthesis(CmSHN3)that are more highly expressed in CmNF-YB8-RNAi lines than in WT,CmCIPK6 being a direct downstream target of CmNF-YB8.Virus-induced gene silencing of CmCIPK6 or CmSHN3 in the CmNFYB8-RNAi background abolished the effects of CmNF-YB8-RNAi on stomatal closure and cuticle deposition,respectively.CmNF-YB8 thus regulates CmCIPK6 and CmSHN3 expression to alter stomatal movement and cuticle thickness in the leaf epidermis,thereby affecting drought resistance. | Tianle Wang Qian Wei Zhiling Wang Wenwen Liu Xin Zhao Chao Ma Junping Gao Yanjie Xu Bo Hong | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,3: | 1 |

Co-location surveying of these sites was performed in 2012 and the accuracies of the solved tie vectors are approximately 5 mm.This paper proposes a mathematical model that handles the least squares adjustment of the 3D control network and calculates the tie vectors in one step, using all the available constraints in the adjustment.
