| 1 | Ginsenoside Rg1 ameliorates bloodebrain barrier disruption and traumatic brain injury via attenuating macrophages derived exosomes miR-21 release显示文摘During the traumatic brain injury(TBI),improved expression of circulatory miR-21 serves as a diagnostic feature.Low levels of exosome-miR-21 in the brain can effectively improve neuroinflammation and bloodebrain barrier(BBB)permeability,reduce nerve apoptosis,restore neural function and ameliorate TBI.We evaluated the role of macrophage derived exosomes-miR-21(M-Exos-miR-21)in disrupting BBB,deteriorating TBI,and Rg1 interventions.IL-1β-induced macrophages(ⅡA)-Exos-miR-21 can activate NF-kB signaling pathway and induce the expressions of MMP-1,-3 and-9 and downregulate the levels of tight junction proteins(TJPs)deteriorating the BBB.Rg1 reduced miR-21-5 p content in ⅡA-Exos(RⅡA-Exos).The interaction of NMIIAe HSP90 controlled the release of Exos-miR-21,this interaction was restricted by Rg1.Rg1 could inhibit the Exos-miR-21 release in peripheral blood flow to brain,enhancing TIMP3 protein expression,MMPs proteolysis,and restricting TJPs degradation thus protected the BBB integrity.Conclusively,Rg1 can improve the cerebrovascular endothelial injury and hold the therapeutic potential against TBI disease. | Kefeng Zhai Hong Duan Wei Wang Siyu Zhao Ghulam Jilany Khan Mengting Wang Yuhan Zhang Kiran Thakur Xuemei Fang Chao Wu Jianbo Xiao Zhaojun Wei | 2021 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,11: | 6 |

| 3 | Streamer dynamics and charge self-erasing of two counter-propagating plasmas in repetitively pulsed surface dielectric barrier discharge显示文摘The streamer dynamics and charge self-erasing of two counter-propagating plasmas generated by repetitively pulsed surface dielectric barrier discharge are investigated using electrical and optical diagnosis,and a two-dimensional fluid model.Three distinct discharge phases of primary,transitional and secondary streamers are identified in a single-pulse discharge through the time-resolved plasma images.Moreover,a merging phenomenon of the two opposing primary streamers is observed at the middle position of the discharge gap.Compared to the first pulse,a low streamer propagation velocity of the primary streamer is measured during the subsequent discharge process due to the limitation of residual surface charges left by the previous discharge.No significant dif-ferences of the transferred charge and the deposited energy are obtained in the sequential pulses at a discharge gap of 9 mm.Numerical simulations show that a reduction for the plasma intensity of the approached two primary streamers is attributed by the accumu-lated charge on the dielectric surface and gathered positive charges in the streamer head.Numerical and experimental studies indicate that the residual charges can be erased by the secondary streamer through the drifted electrons,namely that a phenomenon of charge self-erasing can be realized in the individual pulse. | Bangfa Peng Nan Jiang Kefeng Shang Na Lu Jie Li Yan Wu | 2022 | High Voltage2022,7,4: | 2 |

| 6 | Junction plakoglobin regulates and destabilizes HIF2α to inhibit tumorigenesis of renal cell carcinoma显示文摘Background:Increased hypoxia-inducible factor 2α(HIF2α)activation is a common event in clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC)progression.However,the function and underlying mechanism of HIF2α in ccRCC remains uninvestigated.We conducted this study to access the potential link between junction plakoglobin(JUP)and HIF2αin ccRCC.Methods:Affinity purification and mass spectrometry(AP-MS)screening,glutathione-s-transferase(GST)pull-down and co-immunoprecipitation(Co-IP)assays were performed to detect the interacting proteins of HIF2α.Quantitative PCR(qPCR)and Western blotting were used to detect the expression of JUP in human ccRCC samples.Luciferase reporter assays,chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP),cycloheximide chase assays,and ubiquitination assays were conducted to explore the regulation of JUP on the activity of HIF2α.Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8)assays,colony formation assays,transwell assays,and xenograft tumor assays were performed to investigate the effect of JUP knockdown or overexpression on the tumorigenicity of renal cancer cells.Results:We identified JUP as a novel HIF2α-binding partner and revealed an important role of JUP in recruiting von Hippel-Lindau(VHL)and histone deacetylases 1/2(HDAC1/2)to HIF2α to regulate its stability and transactivation.JUP knockdown promoted and overexpression suppressed the tumorigenicity of renal cell carcinoma in vitro and in vivo.Importantly,the low expression of JUP was found in clinical ccRCC samples and correlated with enhanced hypoxia scores and poor treatment outcomes.Conclusion:Taken together,these data support a role of JUP in modulating HIF2α signaling during ccRCC progression and identify JUP as a potential therapeutic target. | Ke Chen Jin Zeng Yi Sun Wei Ouyang Gan Yu Hui Zhou Yangjun Zhang Weimin Yao Wei Xiao Junhui Hu Jinchun Xing Kefeng Xiao Lily Wu Zhiqiang Chen Zhangqun Ye Hua Xu | 2021 | Cancer Communications2021,41,4: | 1 |

| 8 | Inactivation Mechanisms of Escherichia Coli in Drinking Water Using Reactive Species Generated from a Surface Discharge显示文摘Bacterial and chemical contaminations of drinking water imperil the health of people.A reactive species injection method is presented for sterilizing drinking water.To produce reactive species,a gas phase surface discharge reactor(SDR)is designed:a spiral stainless steel wire attached on the inside wall of a quartz glass tube is used as the high voltage electrode,and the drinking water is the ground electrode.The performance and mechanisms of the method in inactivating of Escherichia coli(E.coli)are analyzed.Experimental results show that 500 mL E.coli-contaminated drinking water(108CFU/mL)is completely sterilized within 4 min.Based on the scanning electron microscope(SEM)analysis,there were plasma-induced cell structure damages of the E.coli in the sterilized water,and the damage resulted in the leakage of protein,which was proved by chemical analyses.Meanwhile,the heating effect concomitantly generated by discharge plasma does not influence E.coli inactivation,and the contribution of direct ultraviolet(UV)irradiation could be neglected too.The ozone generated by SDR and the hydroxyl radicals(·OH)subsequently generated in drinking water play the decisive roles in E.coli inactivation because these reactive species cause the cell rupture. | LI Jie SHANG Kefeng WANG Tiecheng LU Na WANG Tianwei WU Yan | 2013 | 高电压技术2013,39,9: | 1 |

| 19 | A rapid method for the detection of humic acid based on the poly(thymine)-templated copper nanoparticles显示文摘This work described a new method for the detection of humic acid(HA) based on the poly(thymine)(polyT)-templated copper nanoparticles(CuNPs). Without the presence of HA, the formation of poly Ttemplated CuNPs could take place, resulting in strong fluorescence emission peaks at 610 nm(upon excitation at 340 nm). On the other hand, when HA was present, strong interaction between HA and Cu^(2+)took place, which then hampered the effective formation of fluorescent CuNPs, leading to the decrease in fluorescence intensity. Furthermore, under the optimal experimental conditions, the method exhibited a high specificity to HA with a detection limit of 0.4 mg/L. This work has demonstrated a low-cost and convenient method that could be accomplished within 10 min. | 20 | Glypican-3 versus alpha-fetoprotein as a biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma: a diagnostic meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:To assess the diagnostic accuracy of serum GPC3 versus alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)for HCC by using the method of system review.Methods:PubMed and EMBASE were searched from its inception to 20,April 2014 for studies that compared diagnostic accuracy of serum GPC3 with AFP for HCC.Sensitivity,specificity and other measures were pooled using random-effects models.Summary receiver operating characteristic curve analysis was used to summarize the overall test performance.Results:Fourteen studies were included in this meta-analysis.Summary estimates for serum GPC3 and AFP in diagnosing HCC were as follows:sensitivity,69%(95%confidence interval(CI),56-80%)vs.60%(95%CI,50-69%);specificity,91%(95%CI,76-97%)vs.92%(95%CI,84-98%);diagnostic odds ratio(DOR),22(95%CI,6-83)vs.18(95%CI,8-41);and area under sROC,0.85(95%CI,0.81-0.88)vs.0.80(95%CI,0.76-0.83).The pooled sensitivity and specificity for(GPC3+AFP)and AFP were:sensitivity 80%(95%CI,75-85%)vs.64%(95%CI,53-73%)and specificity 86%(95%CI,74-93%)vs.96%(95%CI,86-99%).A significant heterogeneity was found among the ten studies,and meta-regression and subgroup meta-analysis suggested that race and assay type were probably responsible for the heterogeneity.Conclusions:Serum GPC3 may be a promising diagnostic marker of HCC and it was helpful for early detection of primary hepatocellular carcinoma when combined with AFP.More studies for specific race of patients,and using certain methods for detecting GPC3 are required to further confirm the diagnostic value of GPC3 for HCC. | Weiyu FU Hongyu LU Li LI Kefeng WU Yanping LI Yi LIU Jianli HU | 2015 | BIOCELL2015,39,2: | 0 |
