| 1 | AXL is a candidate receptor for SARS-CoV-2 that promotes infection of pulmonary and bronchial epithelial cells显示文摘The current coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic presents a global public health challenge.The viral pathogen responsible,severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),binds to the host receptor ACE2 through its spike(S)glycoprotein,which mediates membrane fusion and viral entry.Although the role of ACE2 as a receptor for SARS-CoV-2 is clear,studies have shown that ACE2 expression is extremely low in various human tissues,especially in the respiratory tract.Thus,other host receptors and/or co-receptors that promote the entry of SARS-CoV-2 into cells of the respiratory system may exist.In this study,we found that the tyrosine-protein kinase receptor UFO(AXL)specifically interacts with the N-terminal domain of SARS-CoV-2 S.Using both a SARS-CoV-2 virus pseudotype and authentic SARS-CoV-2,we found that overexpression of AXL in HEK293T cells promotes SARS-CoV-2 entry as efficiently as overexpression of ACE2,while knocking out AXL significantly reduces SARS-CoV-2 infection in HI 299 pulmonary cells and in human primary lung epithelial cells.Soluble human recombinant AXL blocks SARS-CoV-2 infection in cells expressing high levels of AXL.The AXL expression level is well correlated with SARS-CoV-2 S level in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid cells from COVID-19 patients.Taken together,our findings suggest that AXL is a novel candidate receptor for SARS-CoV-2 which may play an important role in promoting viral infection of the human respiratory system and indicate that it is a potential target for future clinical intervention strategies. | Shuai Wang Zongyang Qiu Yingnan Hou Xiya Deng Wei Xu Tingting Zheng Peihan Wu Shaofang Xie Weixiang Bian Chong Zhang Zewei Sun Kunpeng Liu Chao Shan Aifu Lin Shibo Jiang Youhua Xie Qiang Zhou Lu Lu Jing Huang Xu Li | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,2: | 39 |

| 3 | Estimation of Crop Biomass Using GF-3 Polarization SAR Data Based on Genetic Algorithm Feature Selection显示文摘In recent years,Polarization SAR(PolSAR)has been widely used in the filed of crop biomass estimation.However,high dimensional features extracted from PolSAR data will lead to information redundancy which will result in low accuracy and poor transfer ability of the estimation model.Aiming at this problem,we proposed a estimation method of crop biomass based on automatic feature selection method using genetic algorithm(GA).Firstly,the backscattering coefficient,the polarization parameters and texture features were extracted from PolSAR data.Then,these features were automatically pre-selected by GA to obtain the optimal feature subset.Finally,based on this subset,a support vector regression machine(SVR)model was applied to estimate crop biomass.The proposed method was validated using the GaoFen-3(GF-3)QPSΙ(C-band,quad-polarization)SAR data.Based on wheat and rape biomass samples acquired from a synchronous field measurement campaign,the proposed method achieve relative high validation accuracy(over 80%)in both crop types.For further analyzing the improvement of proposed method,validation accuracies of biomass estimation models based on several different feature selection methods were compared.Compared with feature selection based on linear correlation,GA method has increased by 5.77%in wheat biomass estimation and 11.84%in rape biomass estimation.Compared with the method of recursive feature elimination(RFE)selection,the proposed method has improved crops biomass estimation accuracy by 3.90%and 5.21%,respectively. | Kunpeng XU Lei ZHAO Kun LI Erxue CHEN Wangfei ZHANG Hao YANG | 2020 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2020,3,4: | 3 |

| 13 | Understanding the Correlations between Social Attention and Topic Trends of Scientific Publications显示文摘Purpose:We propose and apply a simplified nowcasting model to understand the correlations between social attention and topic trends of scientific publications.Design/methodology/approach:First,topics are generated from the obesity corpus by using the latent Dirichlet allocation(LDA) algorithm and time series of keyword search trends in Google Trends are obtained.We then establish the structural time series model using data from January 2004 to December 2012,and evaluate the model using data from January 2013.We employ a state-space model to separate different non-regression components in an observational time series(i.e.the tendency and the seasonality) and apply the 'spike and slab prior' and stepwise regression to analyze the correlations between the regression component and the social media attention.The two parts are combined using Markov-chain Monte Carlo sampling techniques to obtain our results.Findings:The results of our study show that(1) the number of publications on child obesity increases at a lower rate than that of diabetes publications;(2) the number of publication on a given topic may exhibit a relationship with the season or time of year;and(3) there exists a correlation between the number of publications on a given topic and its social media attention,i.e.the search frequency related to that topic as identified by Google Trends.We found that our model is also able to predict the number of publications related to a given topic.Research limitations:First,we study a correlation rather than causality between topics' trends and social media.As a result,the relationships might not be robust,so we cannotpredict the future in the long run.Second,we cannot identify the reasons or conditions that are driving obesity topics to present such tendencies and seasonal patterns,so we might need to do 'field' study in the future.Third,we need to improve the efficiency of our model by finding more efficient variable selection models,because the stepwise regression method is time consuming,especially for a large number of variables.Practical implications:This paper analyzes publication topic trends from three perspectives:tendency,seasonality,and correlation with social media attention,providing a new perspective for identifying and understanding topical themes in academic publications.Originality/value:To the best of our knowledge,we are the first to apply the state-space model to examine the relationships between healthcare-related publications and social media to investigate the relationships between a topic's evolvement and people's search behavior in social media.This paper thus provides a new viewpoint in the correlation analysis area,and demonstrates the value of considering social media attention in the analysis of publication topic trends. | Xianlei Dong Jian Xu Ying Ding Chenwei Zhang Kunpeng Zhang Min Song | 2016 | Journal of Data and Information Science2016,1,1: | 1 |

| 18 | A chromosome-scale reference genome of Aquilegia oxysepala var.kansuensis显示文摘The genus Aquilegia(Ranunculaceae)has been cultivated as ornamental and medicinal plants for centuries.With petal spurs of strikingly diverse size and shape,Aquilegia has also been recognized as an excellent system for evolutionary studies.Pollinator‐mediated selection for longer spurs is believed to have shaped the evolution of this genus,especially the North American taxa.Recently,however,an opposite evolutionary trend was reported in an Asian lineage,where multiple origins of mini-or even nonspurred morphs have occurred.Interesting as it is,the lack of genomic resources has limited our ability to decipher the molecular and evolutionary mechanisms underlying spur reduction in this special lineage.Using long-read sequencing(PacBio Sequel),in combination with optical maps(BioNano DLS)and Hi–C,we assembled a high-quality reference genome of A.oxysepala var.kansuensis,a sister species to the nonspurred taxon.The final assembly is approximately 293.2 Mb,94.6%(277.4 Mb)of which has been anchored to 7 pseudochromosomes.A total of 25,571 protein-coding genes were predicted,with 97.2%being functionally annotated.When comparing this genome with that of A.coerulea,we detected a large rearrangement between Chr1 and Chr4,which might have caused the Chr4 of A.oxysepala var.kansuensis to partly deviate from the“decaying”path that was taken before the split of Aquilegia and Semiaquilegia.This high-quality reference genome is fundamental to further investigations on the development and evolution of petal spurs and provides a strong foundation for the breeding of new horticultural Aquilegia cultivars. | Jinghe Xie Haifeng Zhao Kunpeng Li Rui Zhang Yongchao Jiang Meimei Wang Xuelian Guo Ben Yu Hongzhi Kong Yuannian Jiao Guixia Xu | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 1 |
