| 1 | Myeloid immunosuppression and immune checkpoints in the tumor microenvironment显示文摘Tumor-promoting inflammation and the avoidance of immune destruction are hallmarks of cancer.While innate immune cells,such as neutrophils,monocytes,and macrophages,are critical mediators for sterile and nonsterile inflammation,persistent inflammation,such as that which occurs in cancer,is known to disturb normal myelopoiesis.This disturbance leads to the generation of immunosuppressive myeloid cells,such as myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)and tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs).Due to their potent suppressive activities against effector lymphocytes and their abundance in the tumor microenvironment,immunosuppressive myeloid cells act as a major barrier to cancer immunotherapy.Indeed,various therapeutic approaches directed toward immunosuppressive myeloid cells are actively being tested in preclinical and clinical studies.These include antiinflammatory agents,therapeutic blockade of the mobilization and survival of myeloid cells,and immunostimulatory adjuvants.More recently,immune checkpoint molecules expressed on tumor-infiltrating myeloid cells have emerged as potential therapeutic targets to redirect these cells to eliminate tumor cells.In this review,we discuss the complex crosstalk between cancer-related inflammation and immunosuppressive myeloid cells and possible therapeutic strategies to harness antitumor immune responses. | Kyohei Nakamura Mark J.Smyth | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,1: | 31 |
| 2 | Expression of Interleukin-26 is upregulated in inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘AIM To investigate interleukin(IL)-26 expression in the inflamed mucosa of patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) and the function of IL-26. METHODS Human colonic subepithelial myofibroblasts(SEMFs) were isolated from colon tissue surgically resected. The expression of IL-26 protein and its receptor complex was analyzed by immunohistochemistry. The gene expression induced by IL-26 was evaluated by realtime polymerase chain reaction. Intracellular signaling pathways were evaluated by immunoblotting and specific small interfering(si) RNA transfection. RESULTS The m RNA and protein expression of IL-26 were significantly enhanced in the inflamed mucosa of patients with IBD. IL-26 receptor complex was expressed in colonic SEMFs in vivo and in vitro. IL-26 stimulated the m RNA expression of IL-6 and IL-8 in colonic SEMFs. | 3 | Can control of gut microbiota be a future therapeutic option for inflammatory bowel disease?显示文摘Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract encompassing two main clinical entities,Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.Accumulated evidence indicates that an aberrant immune activation caused by the interplay of genetic susceptibility and environmental impact on the gut microbiota may be involved in the pathogenesis of IBD.Rapid advances in next-generation sequencing technology have enabled a number of studies to identify the alteration of the gut microbiota,termed dysbiosis,in IBD.Moreover,the alteration in the metabolites derived from the gut microbiota in IBD has also been described in many studies.Therefore,microbiota-based interventions such as fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)have attracted attention as a novel therapeutic option in IBD.However,in clinical trials,the efficacy of FMT for IBD remains controversial.Additional basic and clinical studies are required to validate whether FMT can assume a complementary role in the treatment of IBD.The present review provides a synopsis on dysbiosis in IBD and on the association between the gut microbiota and the pathogenesis of IBD.In addition,we summarize the use of probiotics in IBD and the results of current clinical trials of FMT for IBD. | Atsushi Nishida Kyohei Nishino Keitaro Sakai Yuji Owaki Yoshika Noda Hirotsugu Imaeda | 2021 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2021,27,23: | 6 |

| 5 | 臭氧在中试规模污泥原位减量中的应用显示文摘为探究高、低浓度臭氧旁路处理对中试系统出水水质、污泥减量率的影响,采用两组系统(对照组:厌氧/缺氧/好氧(A/A/O),试验组:A/A/O+臭氧旁路处理)在5个工况下运行183d.结果表明,利用剂量为13mg/g MLSS(25mg/g MLVSS)臭氧处理占生物反应池容积20%的回流污泥时,系统运行性能良好;在此操作条件下,低浓度臭氧(150mg/L)和高浓度臭氧(380mg/L)处理均可使出水COD,NH_(4)^(+)-N,TN达到《城镇污水处理厂污染物排放标准》(GB18918-2002)的一级B标准;且与低浓度臭氧处理相比,高浓度臭氧处理出水污染物去除率下降的比例较低,即高浓度臭氧处理在对污水污染物去除方面表现出较大的优势.低浓度臭氧处理适宜SRT为25d,此时污泥有机物减少率为14.07%,剩余污泥总量减少率为8.33%;高浓度臭氧处理适宜SRT为75d,此时污泥有机物减少率为41.53%,剩余总量减少率为25.92%,即相同臭氧剂量条件下,高浓度臭氧处理的污泥减量效率明显优于低浓度臭氧.低温对高浓度臭氧处理减量率和出水水质的影响并不显著,说明A/A/O+高浓度臭氧系统的应用不受温度的大幅限制. | 孙相娟 刘宾寒 张领军 Kyohei Aketagawa 薛斌杰 任银姬 白建峰 詹咏 陈思思 董滨 | 2022 | 中国环境科学2022,42,3: | 2 |
| 6 | Pneumatosis intestinalis with obstructing intussusception:A case report and literature review显示文摘Pneumatosis intestinalis(PI) often represents a benign condition that should not be considered as an argument for surgery. We report a patient with PI and obstructing intussusception who underwent urgent colectomy and review the literatures regarding PI with intussusception. A 20-year-old man presented at our hospital with a 3-d intermittent lower abdominal pain history. He underwent steroid therapy for membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis for 4 years. Computed tomography revealed ascending colon intussusception with air within the wall. Intraoperative colonoscopy revealed numerous soft polypoid masses with normal overlying mucosa and right hemicolectomy was performed. Histological examination of colonic wall sections revealed large cysts in the submucosal layer. The pathological diagnosis was PI. Nine cases of intussusception associated with primary PI have been reported. | 7 | Controlling the solid-state luminescence of gold(I) N-heterocyclic carbene complexes through changes in the structure of molecular aggregates显示文摘Thermally stable, solid-state luminescent organic materials are highly desired for the development of practical applications.Herein we synthesized new gold(I) complexes with N-heterocyclic carbene ligands, which have the ability to form strong metalorganic bond. Consequently, their thermochemical stability is enhanced at temperatures around 300 °C. Precise design of the molecular structure of the ligands, with a focus on ensuring low steric hindrance around Au atoms in order to limit disturbances to Au/Au interactions, provided a complex with a densely packed crystal with a shorter intermolecular Au–Au distance(3.17 ?)than the typical distance. In the solid state, this complex exhibited strong aurophilic interactions, which generated intense phosphorescence even in air at room temperature(quantum yield=16%) in spite of absence of any phosphorescence in solution.This behavior is characteristic for solid-state luminescence referred to as aggregation-controlled emission. Furthermore, the gold(I) complex displays capacity for mechano-and vapo-chromism—that is, the ability to change color reversibly in response to the application of external stimuli.
