| 1 | Quantitative Simulation on Soil Moisture Contents of Two Typical Vegetation Communities in Sanjiang Plain,China显示文摘Different types of vegetation occupy different geomorphology and water gradient environments in the San-jiang Plain,indicating that the soil moisture dynamics and water balance patterns of the different vegetation communi-ties might differ from each other.In this paper,a lowland system,perpendicular to the Nongjiang River in the Honghe National Nature Reserve(HNNR),was selected as the study area.The area was occupied by the non-wetland plant forest and the typical wetland plant meadow.The Microsoft Windows-based finite element analysis software package for simulating water,heat,and solute transport in variably saturated porous media(HYDRUS),which can quantita-tively simulate water,heat,and/or solute movement in variably-saturated porous media,was used to simulate soil moisture dynamics in the root zone(20-40 cm) of those two plant communities during the growing season in 2005.The simulation results for soil moisture were in a good agreement with measured data,with the coefficient of determi-nation(R2) of 0.44-0.69 and root mean square error(RMSE) ranging between 0.0291 cm3/cm3 and 0.0457 cm3/cm3,and index of agreement(d) being from 0.612 to 0.968.During the study period,the volumetric soil moisture content of meadow increased with the depth and its coefficient of variation decreased with the depth(from 20 cm to 40 cm),while under the forest the soil moisture content at different depths varied irregularly.The calculated result of water budget showed that the water budget deficit of the meadow was higher than that of the forest,suggesting that the meadow is more likely to suffer from water stress than the forest.The quantitative simulation by HYDRUS in this study did not take surface runoff and plant growth processes into account.Improved root water uptake and surface runoff models will be needed for higher accuracy in further researches. | LI Shanghua ZHOU Demin LUAN Zhaoqing PAN Yun JIAO Cuicui | 2011 | Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,6: | 7 |
| 2 | Role of Co Content on Densification and Microstructure of WC–Co Cemented Carbides Prepared by Selective Laser Melting显示文摘WC–Co cemented carbides, well-known as the conventional tooling materials, have not been successfully produced by one step additive manufacturing processes such as selective laser melting(SLM) yet. The microstructure evolution as well as WC grain growth behavior has rarely been investigated in detail during SLM process. In this study, the WC–Co cemented carbides with different Co contents(12–32 wt%) were prepared by optimized SLM processes for comparative investigation of densification behavior, microstructure characterization and mechanical property. The increase in Co content in feedstock carbide granules can improve the densification behavior during SLM process. The SLM processed WC-12 Co shows larger average WC grain size and higher percentage of coarser WC grains as compared with both WC-20 Co and WC-32 Co. The microstructure characterization, combined with finite element simulation, shows the WC grain growth mechanisms include agglomeration and dissolution-deposition of WC during SLM process and agglomeration of WC is an important mechanism especially for WC–Co cemented carbides with Co content as low as 12 wt%. | 4 | Ecological selection of bacterial taxa with larger genome sizes in response to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons stress显示文摘Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)are ubiquitous priority pollutants that cause great damage to the natural environment and health.Average genome size in a community is critical for shedding light on microbiome's functional response to pollution stress within an environment.Here,microcosms under different concentrations were performed to evaluate the selection of PAHs stress on the average genome size in a community.We found the distinct communities of significantly larger genome size with the increase of PAHs concentration gradients in soils,and consistent trends were discovered in soils at different latitudes.The abundance of Proteobacteria and Deinococcus-Thermus with relatively larger genomes increased along with PAHs stress and well adapted to polluted environments.In contrast,the abundance of Patescibacteria with a highly streamlined and smaller genome decreased,implying complex interactions between environmental selection and functional fitness resulted in bacteria with larger genomes becoming more abundant.Moreover,we confirmed the increased capacity for horizontal transfer of degrading genes between communities by showing an increased connection number per node positively related to the nid A gene along the concentration gradients in the co-occurrence network.Our findings suggest PAHs tend to select bacterial taxa with larger genome sizes,with significant consequences for community stability and potential biodegradation strategies. | Yuzhu Dong Shanghua Wu Haonan Fan Xianglong Li Yijing Li Shengjun Xu Zhihui Bai Xuliang Zhuang | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,2: | 2 |

| 12 | Metformin escape in prostate cancer by activating the PTGR1 transcriptional program through a novel super-enhancer显示文摘The therapeutic efficacy of metformin in prostate cancer(PCa)appears uncertain based on various clinical trials.Metformin treatment failure may be attributed to the high frequency of transcriptional dysregulation,which leads to drug resistance.However,the underlying mechanism is still unclear.In this study,we found evidences that metformin resistance in PCa cells may be linked to cell cycle reactivation.Super-enhancers(SEs),crucial regulatory elements,have been shown to be associated with drug resistance in various cancers.Our analysis of SEs in metformin-resistant(MetR)PCa cells revealed a correlation with Prostaglandin Reductase 1(PTGR1)expression,which was identified as significantly increased in a cluster of cells with metformin resistance through single-cell transcriptome sequencing.Our functional experiments showed that PTGR1 overexpression accelerated cell cycle progression by promoting progression from the G0/G1 to the S and G2/M phases,resulting in reduced sensitivity to metformin.Additionally,we identified key transcription factors that significantly increase PTGR1 expression,such as SRF and RUNX3,providing potential new targets to address metformin resistance in PCa.In conclusion,our study sheds new light on the cellular mechanism underlying metformin resistance and the regulation of the SE-TFs-PTGR1 axis,offering potential avenues to enhance metformin’s therapeutic efficacy in PCa. | Jianheng Ye Shanghua Cai Yuanfa Feng Jinchuang Li Zhiduan Cai Yulin Deng Ren Liu Xuejin Zhu Jianming Lu Yangjia Zhuo Yingke Liang Jianjiang Xie Yanqiong Zhang Huichan He Zhaodong Han Zhenyu Jia Weide Zhong | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,9: | 0 |

| 14 | Microstructure refinement-homogenization and flexural strength improvement of Al_(2)O_(3) ceramics fabricated by DLP-stereolithography integrated with chemical precipitation coating process显示文摘In this study,the chemical precipitation coating(CP)process was creatively integrated with DLP-stereolithography based 3D printing for refining and homogenizing the microstructure of 3D printed Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic.Based on this novel approach,Al_(2)O_(3)powder was coated with a homogeneous layer of amorphous Y2O3,with the coated AI2O3 powder found to make the microstructure of 3D printed Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic more uniform and refined,as compared with the conventional mechanical mixing(MM)of Al_(2)O_(3) and Y_(2)O_(3) powders.The grain size of Al_(2)O_(3) in Sample CP is 64.44%and 51.43%lower than those in the monolithic Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic and Sample MM,respectively.Sample CP has the highest flexural strength of 455.37±32.17 MPa,which is 14.85%and 25.45%higher than those of Samples MM and AL,respectively;also Sample CP has the highest Weibull modulus of 16.88 among the three kinds of samples.Moreover,the fine grained Sample CP has a close thermal conductivity to the coarse grained Sample MM because of the changes in morphology of Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) phase from semi-connected(Sample MM)to isolated(Sample CP).Finally,specially designed fin-type Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic heat sinks were successfully fabricated via the novel integrated process,which has been proven to be an effective method for fabricating complex-shaped Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic components with enhanced flexural strength and reliability. | Guanglin NIE Yehua LI Pengfei SHENG Fei ZUO Haolin WU Leiren LIU Xin DENG Yiwang BAO Shanghua WU | 2021 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,4: | 0 |
