1China's lakes at present:Number,area and spatial distribution显示文摘Based on 11004 satellite images from CBERS CCD and Landsat TM/ETM,changes in the spatial characteristics of all lakes in China were determined following pre-established interpretation rules.This dataset was supported by 6843 digital raster images(1:100000 and 1:50000),a countrywide digital vector dataset(1:250000),and historical literature.Comparative data were corrected for seasonal variations using precipitation data.There are presently 2693 natural lakes in China with an area greater than 1.0 km2,excluding reservoirs.These lakes are distributed in 28 provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities and have a total area of 81414.6 km2,accounting for-0.9% of China's total land area.In the past 30 years,the number of newly formed and newly discovered lakes with an area greater than 1.0 km2 is 60 and 131,respectively.Conversely,243 lakes have disappeared in this time period.MA RongHua YANG GuiShan DUAN HongTao JIANG JiaHu WANG SuMin FENG XueZhi LI AiNong KONG FanXiang XUE Bin WU JingLu LI ShiJie 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,2:79

3Intermetallic phase formation and evolution during homogenization and solution in Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys显示文摘The effects of major alloy element contents of Zn,Mg,Cu in Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys on the formation and evolution of intermetallic phases during casting,homogenization and solution treatment have been investigated through using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry.Experimental results showed that a relatively higher Zn content with lower Mg and Cu contents was beneficial to the formation of MgZn2phase instead of the Al2CuMg phase,which resulted in the unicity of the intermetallics in the Al matrix,and that the MgZn2phase was easier for diffusion and dissolution during homogenization and solution than the Al2CuMg phase.Additionally,the results of the first-principles calculations gave support for explaining the experimental phenomena.A larger absolute value of formation enthalpy and a smaller value of binding energy of the MgZn2phase,as compared with the Al2CuMg phase,give it priority to precipitate during casting and make it easier to re-dissolve during homogenization and solution treatment.What’s more,higher elastic constants with severe anisotropy of Young’s modulus make undissolved blocks of Al2CuMg phase act as crack initiation,which degrade the performance of the materials.LI ChunMei CHEN ZhiQian ZENG SuMin CHENG NanPu CHEN TianXiao 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,11:10
4T cells promote the regeneration of neural precursor cells in the hippocampus of Alzheimer's disease mice显示文摘Alzheimer's disease is closely associated with disorders of neurogenesis in the brain, and growing evidence supports the involvement of immunological mechanisms in the development of the disease. However, at present, the role of T cells in neuronal regeneration in the brain is unknown. We injected amyloid-beta 1–42 peptide into the hippocampus of six BALB/c wild-type mice and six BALB/c-nude mice with T-cell immunodeficiency to establish an animal model of Alzheimer's disease. A further six mice of each genotype were injected with same volume of normal saline. Immunohistochemistry revealed that the number of regenerated neural progenitor cells in the hippocampus of BALB/c wild-type mice was significantly higher than that in BALB/c-nude mice. Quantitative fluorescence PCR assay showed that the expression levels of peripheral T cell-associated cytokines(interleukin-2, interferon-γ) and hippocampal microglia-related cytokines(interleukin-1β, tumor necrosis factor-α) correlated with the number of regenerated neural progenitor cells in the hippocampus. These results indicate that T cells promote hippocampal neurogenesis in Alzheimer's disease and T-cell immunodeficiency restricts neuronal regeneration in the hippocampus. The mechanism underlying the promotion of neuronal regeneration by T cells is mediated by an increased expression of peripheral T cells and central microglial cytokines in Alzheimer's disease mice. 6Methionine metabolism in chronic liver diseases:an update on molecular mechanism and therapeutic implication显示文摘As one of the bicyclic metabolic pathways of one-carbon metabolism,methionine metabolism is the pivot linking the folate cycle to the transsulfuration pathway.In addition to being a precursor for glutathione synthesis,and the principal methyl donor for nucleic acid,phospholipid,histone,biogenic amine,and protein methylation,methionine metabolites can participate in polyamine synthesis.Methionine metabolism disorder can aggravate the damage in the pathological state of a disease.In the occurrence and development of chronic liver diseases(CLDs),changes in various components involved in methionine metabolism can affect the pathological state through various mechanisms.A methionine-deficient diet is commonly used for building CLD models.The conversion of key enzymes of methionine metabolism methionine adenosyltransferase(MAT)1 A and MAT2A/MAT2B is closely related to fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.In vivo and in vitro experiments have shown that by intervening related enzymes or downstream metabolites to interfere with methionine metabolism,the liver injuries could be reduced.Recently,methionine supplementation has gradually attracted the attention of many clinical researchers.Most researchers agree that adequate methionine supplementation can help reduce liver damage.Retrospective analysis of recently conducted relevant studies is of profound significance.This paper reviews the latest achievements related to methionine metabolism and CLD,from molecular mechanisms to clinical research,and provides some insights into the future direction of basic and clinical research.Zhanghao Li Feixia Wang Baoyu Liang Ying Su Sumin Sun Siwei Xia Jiangjuan Shao Zili Zhang Min Hong Feng Zhang Shizhong Zheng 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:3

9Effects of vascular endothelial growth factor on MMPs during embryo implantation in mice显示文摘Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a specific mitogen of endothelial cells and plays an important role in vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. In recent years, both our and other laboratories have found that VEGF may be involved in embryo implantation. However, the relationship between VEGF and MMP-2 and MMP-9, the marker molecules of embryo implantation, is still unknown. In the present study, an examination of the effects of VEGF on the expression and secretion of MMP-2 and MMP-9 during implantation in mice was carried out by RT-PCR and gelatin zymography. The results show that VEGF antibody significantly decreased uterine mRNA levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 during pregnancy, and that VEGF could up-regulate the activities of MMP-2 and MMP-9 secreted by blastocysts cultured in vitro in a time- and dose-dependent manner. 13UV light absorbers executing synergistic effects of passivating defects and improving photostability for efficient perovskite photovoltaics显示文摘Metal halide perovskite-based solar cells(PSCs) have rapidly-increased power conversion efficiency(PCE)exceeding 25% but poor stability especially under ultraviolet(UV) light. Meanwhile, non-radiative recombination caused by diverse defects in perovskite absorbers and related interfaces is one of the major factors confining further development of PSCs. In this study, we systematically investigate the role of 2-(2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)benzotriazole(UVP) additive in perovskite layers. By adjusting the amount of doped UVP, the quality of perovskite absorbers is significantly improved with enlarged grains, longer lifetime and diffusion length of charge carriers. Furthermore, UVP not only reduces defects for less nonradiative recombination, but also matches energy level alignment for efficient interfacial charge extraction. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirms that N-donor of UVP molecule coordinates with undercoordinated Pb^(2+) on the surface. Interestingly, UVP incorporated in PbI_(2) protects the perovskite by absorbing UV through the opening and closing of the chelating ring. Eventually, the UVP treated PSCs obtain a champion PCE of 22.46% with remarkably enhanced UV stability, retaining over 90% of initial PCE after 60 m W/cm^(2) strong UV irradiation for 9 h while the control maintaining only 74%. 17Potential regulation of small RNAs on bacterial function activities in pig farm wastewater treatment plants显示文摘Small RNAs(sRNAs)are key players in the regulation of bacterial gene expression.However,the distribution and regulatory functions of sRNA in pig farm wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)remains unknown.In this study,the wastewaters in anoxic and oxic tanks of the WWTPs were collected.The profiles of the community structure,mRNA expression,and sRNA expression of bacteria in pig farm wastewater were investigated using transcriptome sequencing and qPCR.This study demonstrated that there was a higher abundance of sRNA in the pig farm WWTPs and 52 sRNAs were detected.The sRNAs were mainly present in Proteobacteria and Firmicutes,including the potential human pathogenic bacteria(HPB)(Escherichia,Shigella,Bordetella and Morganella),crop pathogen(Pectobacterium)and denitrifying bacteria(Zobellella).And the sRNAs were involved in the bacterial functional activities such as translation,transcription,drug resistance,membrane transport and amino acid metabolism.In addition,most sRNAs had a higher abundance in anoxic tanks which contained a higher abundance of the genes associated with infectious diseases and drug resistance than that in oxic tanks.The results presented here show that in pig farm WWTPs,sRNA played an important role in bacterial function activities,especially the infectious diseases,drug resistance and denitrification,which can provide a new point of penetration for improving the pig farm WWTPs.Yiwen Yang Sicheng Xing Sumin Li Yajing Niu Cheng Li Tuoxin Huang Xindi Liao 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,5:1
