1Guidelines on common cold for Traditional Chinese Medicine based on pattern differentiation显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To establish the guidelines on common cold treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in terms of pattern identification. METHODS: The guidelines were formulated by using the basic patterns of common cold in ChinaPharmacopeia integrated with findings from systematic literature review and the experts' consensus on the issue in question. RESULTS: Common cold was divided into four patterns in the guidelines. The medications were recommended respectively: Ganmaoqingre granule for wind-cold exterior syndrome,Yinqiaojiedu granule for wind-heat exterior syndrome, Huoxiangzhengqi Wan for summer-heat dampness exterior syndrome and Shensu Wan for wind-cold exterior syndrome accompanied with Qi deficiency. CONCLUSION: The guidelines were primarily derived from the practice experience of TCM and the experts' consensus. The process was not strictly evidence-based because of lacking enough clinical studies. 2Chinese herbal medicine combined with nucleotide analogues for compensated HBV-related cirrhosis: a systematic review of randomized controlled trials显示文摘Objective:To systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) plus nucleotide analogues (NAs) for treating compensated HBV-related cirrhosis,the early stage of cirrhosis.Methods:PubMed,Cochrane library,China Network Knowledge Infrastructure Database (CNKI),Chinese Scientific Journals Database (VIP),Wan Fang Database and Sino-Med Database were searched.Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and quasi-RCTs comparing NAs and NAs plus CHM therapy on patients with compensated HBV-related cirrhosis were included.Two reviewers independently extracted information and assessed the methodological quality of the trials.Different CHM herbal formulas used in the trials were considered.Primary metaanalysis was conducted when there were at least two trials comparing the same CHM formula.Results:Forty-five trials comprising 3497 participants were included.The quality of most of the trials was moderate or low.Twenty-six herbal formulations were identified.A meta analysis was conducted for compound Biejia Ruangan (FFBJ),Dahuang Zhechong (DHZC),and Fuzheng Huayu (FZHY).The results of the subgroup analysis showed a beneficial effect of FFBJ plus entecavir (ETV),and DHZC plus adefovir dipivoxil (ADV) on hyaluronic acid (HA);FFBJ plus ADV on laminin (LN);and FZHY plus ADV on HA,LN,and precollagen type Ⅲ (PC-Ⅲ).The results from other studies suggested significant benefits of CHM plus NAs compared with NAs alone,except those on albumin (ALB).None of the trials evaluated the quality of life or reported severe adverse events.Conclusions:A positive effect was found for FFBJ plus ETV,DHZC plus ADV,and FZHY plus ADV on HA;FZHY plus ADV and FFBJ plus ADV on LN;and FZHY plus ADV on PCⅢ compared with the effects of NAs used alone.Tingting Li Tianfang Wang Yutong Fei Xiaolin Xue Xiuyan Wu 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2015,2,1:1

6Applying latent tree analysis to classify Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes(Zheng)in patients with psoriasis vulgaris显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To treat patients with psoriasis vulgaris using Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),one must stratify patients into subtypes(known as TCM syndromes or Zheng)and apply appropriate TCM treatments to different subtypes.However,no unified symptom-based classification scheme of subtypes(Zheng)exists for psoriasis vulgaris.The present paper aims to classify patients with psoriasis vulgaris into different subtypes via the analysis of clinical TCM symptom and sign data.METHODS:A cross-sectional survey was carried out in Beijing from 2005-2008,collecting clinical TCM symptom and sign data from 2764 patients with psoriasis vulgaris.Roughly 108 symptoms and signs were initially analyzed using latent tree analysis,with a selection of the resulting latent variables then used as features to cluster patients into subtypes.RESULTS:The initial latent tree analysis yielded a model with 43 latent variables.The second phase of the analysis divided patients into three subtype groups with clear TCM Zheng connotations:'blood deficiency and wind dryness';'blood heat';and'blood stasis'.CONCLUSIONS:Via two-phase analysis of clinic symptom and sign data,three different Zheng subtypes were identified for psoriasis vulgaris.Statistical characteristics of the three subtypes are presented.This constitutes an evidence-based solution to the syndromedifferentiation problem that exists with psoriasis vulgaris.XU Wenjie ZHANG Nevin L. 15Degradation of differently processed Mg-based implants leads to distinct foreign body reactions(FBRs)through dissimilar signaling pathways显示文摘Mg alloys have mechanical properties compatible with human bones.However,their rapid degradation and associated foreign body reactions in vivo significantly limit their application for human implants.In this study,three differently processed Mg alloys,pure Mg(PM),cold extruded Mg alloy AZ31(CE AZ31),and fully annealed AZ31 Mg alloy(FA AZ31)were comparatively investigated for their potential as implants using a rat model.All three implanted Mg alloys do not show any impact on hepato-and renal function,nor any signs of observable changes to vital organs.Proteomics analysis of tissues directly contacting the implants 2.5 months post implantation revealed that FA AZ31 activates very few inflammation and immune associated signaling pathways;while the CE AZ31 and PM produce more significant inflammatory responses as confirmed by cytokine array analyses.Further,FA AZ31 activated pathways for cell organization and development that may improve the recovery of injured tissues.Structurally,EBSD analysis reveals that the FA AZ31 alloy has a higher ratio of first-order pyramidal orientated(10–11){10–1–2}grain texture with a value of 0.25,while PM and CE AZ31 alloys have lower ratios of first-order pyramidal orientated texture with the values of 0.16 and 0.17,respectively.This is associated with recovery and recrystallisation during annealing which promotes grain texture which exhibits enhanced degradation behaviours and induces a more limited immune response in vivo.In conclusion,the FA AZ31 demonstrated better biocompatibility and corrosion resistance and is a promising candidate for metal-based degradable implants which warrants further investigation.Xiaosong Liu Guoqiang Chen Xiongxiong Zhong Tianfang Wang Xiaohong He Weipeng Yuan Pingping Zhang Ying Liu Dongming Cao Shu Chen Ken-ichi Manabe Zhengyi Jiang Tsuyoshi Furushima Damon Kent Yang Chen Guoying Ni Mingyong Gao Hejie Li 2023Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2023,11,6:0
16Phosphorylation of Ago2 is required for its role in DNA double-strand break repair显示文摘Repair of DNA double-strand break(DSB)is critical for the maintenance of genome integrity.A class of DSB-induced small RNAs(di RNAs)has been shown to play an important role in DSB repair.In humans,di RNAs are associated with Ago2 and guide the recruitment of Rad51 to DSB sites to facilitate repair by homologous recombination(HR).Ago2 activity has been reported to be regulated by phosphorylation under normal and hypoxic conditions.However,the role of Ago2 phosphorylation in DNA damage repair is unexplored.Here,we show that S672,S828,T830,and S831 of human Ago2 are phosphorylated in response to ionizing radiation(IR).S672 A mutation of Ago2 leads to significant reduction in Rad51 foci formation and HR efficiency.We further show that defective association of Ago2 S672 A variant with DSB sites,instead of defects in di RNA and Rad51 binding,may account for decreased Rad51 foci formation and HR efficiency.Our study reveals a novel regulatory mechanism for the function of Ago2 in DNA repair.Xiaolu Hu Yan Li Tianfang Zhang Lin Li She Chen Xiaohong Wu Haijun Li Binjie Qi Zuobing Chen 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,4:0
17Low-temperature CO oxidation over Au-doped 13X-type zeolite catalysts:preparation and catalytic activity显示文摘Au-supported 13X-type zeolite(Au/13X)was synthesized using a common deposition-precipitation(DP)method with a solution of sodium carbonate as a precipitate agent.Further testing was conducted to test for catalytic oxidation of CO.A study was conducted on the effects of different preparation conditions(i.e.,chloroauric acid concentration,solution temperature,pH of solution,and calcinations temperature)on Au/13X for CO oxidation.In respect to the catalytic activity,the relationship between different the preparation conditions and gold particles in 13X zeolite was analyzed using X-ray diffraction,TEM and XPS.The activity of Au/13X catalysts in CO oxidation was dependent on the chloroauric acid concentration.From XRD results,a higher chloroauric acid concentration induced larger gold nanoparticles,which resulted in lower catalytic activity.Results revealed that higher temperatures induced higher Au loading,homogeneous deposit,and smaller gold clusters on the support of 13X,resulting in higher CO activity.Furthermore,a pH of 5 or 6 generated greater amounts of Au loading and smaller Au particles on 13X than at a pH of 8 or 9.This may be a result of an effective exchange between Au(OH)_(2)Cl_(2)^(-)and Au(OH)_(3)Cl^(-)on specific surface sites of zeolite under the pH’s 5 and 6.The sample calcined at 300℃showed the highest activity,which may be due to the sample’s calcined at 200℃inability to decompose completely to metallic gold while the sample calcined at 400℃had larger particles of gold deposited on the support.It can be concluded from this study that Au/13X prepared from a gold solution with an initial chloroauric acid solution concentration of 1.5×10^(-3)mol·L^(-1)gold solution pH of 6,solution temperature of around 90℃,and a calcination temperature of 300℃provides optimum catalytic activity for CO oxidation.Qing YE Donghui LI Jun ZHAO Jiansheng ZHAO Tianfang KANG Shuiyuan CHENG 2011Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2011,5,4:0
