| 1 | First ceratopsid dinosaur from China and its biogeographical implications显示文摘Ceratopsid dinosaurs represent one of the best known dinosaur groups in the Late Cretaceous, and their unquestionable fossil re-cords are exclusively restricted to western North America.Here we report a new ceratopsid dinosaur, Sinoceratops zhuchengensis gen.et sp.nov., from the Upper Cretaceous Wangshi Group of Zhucheng, Shandong Province, China.Cladistic analysis places this new taxon as the only known ceratopsid from outside North America, in a basal position within the Centrosaurinae.It is con-siderably larger than most other centrosaurines but similar in size to basal chasmosaurines.Furthermore, it is more similar to chasmosaurines than to other centrosaurines in several features, thus blurring the distinction of the two ceratopsid subgroups.This new find not only provides significant information on the morphological transition from non-ceratopsid to ceratopsid dinosaurs, but also complicates the biogeography of the Ceratopsidae, and further demonstrates that fossil sampling has profound effects on reconstructing dinosaurian biogeography. | XU Xing WANG KeBai ZHAO XiJin LI DunJing | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,16: | 18 |
| 2 | The cost of obsessive- compulsive disorder (OCD) in China: a multi- center cross- sectional survey based on hospitals显示文摘Background Obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD)is considered a very debilitating disorder with severe loss of quality of life and income.Aims This study estimates the quality of life and economic consequences of OCD in China.Methods The research team interviewed 639 patients with OCD in 13 hospitals in 12 cities in China.The direct method was used to get the direct cost of OCD.Indirect costs associated with OCD were estimated using the human capital approach.Linear regression analysis was conducted for quality of life and generalised linear model analysis was conducted for total cost.Sensitivity analysis was used to analyse the uncertainty of total cost.Results The mean quality of life score for OCD was 52.78(20.46).The annual total cost of OCD per capita was 24503.78(95%CI:22621.53 to 26386.03)renminbi(RMB)(US$3465.88(95%CI:US$3199.65 to US$3732.11)).The annual cost of OCD in China was estimated to be 37.74 billion(95%CI:34.95 billion to 40.53 billion)RMB(equal to US$5.34 billion(95%CI:US$4.94 billion to US$5.73 billion)).Sensitivity analysis showed that the total annual cost of OCD in China was between 23.15 billion RMB(US$3.27 billion)and 370.00 billion RMB(US$52.33 billion).Worse social function status,more psychiatric symptoms and higher Yale Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale(Y-BOCS)score were associated with worse quality of life.The numbers of clinic visits and hospitalisations,socioeconomic status,education,Y-BOCS scores and age were found to be significantly associated with total cost.Conclusions OCD is associated with low quality of life and high costs in China.The findings call for concerted efforts to improve services for patients with OCD.Improvements may include early detection and diagnosis,the provision of evidence-based treatments and relapse prevention strategies. | Weili Yang Zhen Tang Xijin Wang Xiancang Ma Yuqi Cheng Bin Wang Ping Sun Wenxin Tang Jia Luo Changhong Wang Ping Li Guiyun Xu Jun Yan Vlasios Brakoulias Zhen Wang | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021,34,6: | 3 |
| 3 | Comparative Osteology and Phylogenetic Relationship of Edmontosaurus and Shantungosaurus (Dinosauria:Hadrosauridae) from the Upper Cretaceous of North America and East Asia显示文摘The close affinity between Edmontosaurus and Shantungosaurus is corroborated on the basis of the following shared features:an occipital condyle deflected strongly posteroventrally; a posterodorsally reflected, lip-shaped oral margin of the premaxilla, with a deep, oval concavity at the anteromedial corner of the bone; a well-demarcated posterodorsal margin of the deeply excavated circumnarial fossa formed by a prominent arched ridge along the entire posterior half of the lateroventral border of the nasal; an anteroposteriorly broad jugal process of the postorbital; a strongly concave dorsal surface of the paired frontals; seven teeth per alveolus in the middle of the dentary tooth row; and a circular distal blade of the pubis that is much more expanded ventrally than dorsally. A revised phylogenetic analysis of Hadrosauroidea recovers a sister taxon relationship between Edmontosaurus and Shantungosaurus. Kerberosaurus is recovered as the sister taxon to the clade formed exclusively by these two genera. The clade Edmontosaurini could be defined as the least inclusive clade containing Kerberosaurus and Edmontosaurus, which is currently composed of the genera Kerberosaurus, Edmontosaurus, and Shantungosaurus. Zhuchengosaurus and Huaxiaosaurus,both from the Upper Cretaceous Wangshi Group in Zhucheng, are interpreted as junior synonyms of Shantungosaurus. Kundurosaurus is likewise considered a junior synonym of Kerberosaurus. | 8 | An integrated approach to configure rGO/VS_(4)/S composites with improved catalysis of polysulfides for advanced lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)battery is labeled as a promising high-energy-density battery system,but some inherent drawbacks of sulfur cathode materials using relatively complicated techniques impair the practical applications.Herein,an integrated approach is proposed to fabricate the high-performance rGO/VS_(4)/S cathode composites through a simple one-step solvothermal method,where nano sulfur and VS_(4) particles are uniformly distributed on the conductive rGO matrix.rGO and sulfiphilic VS_(4)provide electron transfer skeleton and physical/chemical anchor for soluble lithium polysulfides(LiPS).Meanwhile,VS_(4) could also act as an electrochemical mediator to efficiently enhance the utilization and reversible conversion of LiPS.Correspondingly,the rGO/VS_(4)/S composites maintain a high reversible capacity of 969 mAh/g at 0.2 C after 100 cycles,with a capacity retention rate of 82.3%.The capacity fade rate could lower to 0.0374%per cycle at 1 C.Moreover,capacity still sustains 795 m Ah/g after 100 cycles in the relatively high-sulfurloading battery(6.5 mg/cm^(2)).Thus,the suggested method in configuring the sulfur-based composites is demonstrated a simple and efficient strategy to construct the high-performance Li-S batteries. | Feng Li Lu Wang Guangmeng Qu Peiyu Hou Linglong Kong Jinzhao Huang Xijin Xu | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,8: | 1 |

| 17 | The Impact of Urban Expansion on Plant Diversity Change in Karst Regions of Southwest China显示文摘Biodiversity is vital for the integrity and stability of ecosystems and sustainable development.Karst regions of Southwest China is featured for undulating and broken karst terrain as well as high plant diversity.Land use changes induced by the growing population and expanding human settlement have threatened biodiversity preservation in this region.However,the impact of urban expansion on plant diversity remains unclear here.This study focuses on how expanding countryside landscapes affect the recovery rate of plant diversity and demonstrate how urban expansion affects plant diversity conservation in karst regions of Southwest China.In situ biodiversity investigations and multisource remote sensing images were combined to analyze the role of human settlement evolution in the conservation of plant diversity using descriptive statistics and regression analysis.Unmanned vehicle images,historical aerial photographs,and long-term remote sensing images were used to observe the human settlement pattern changes over 40 yr and found that plant diversity is restored faster in countryside ecosystems than in island ecosystems restricted by water.Forests,however,contribute the most to plant diversity conservation in both ecosystems.While the forest area is stable during urban expansion,massive forest patches play an essential role in plant diversity conservation.Arable lands and grasslands shrank but with a fragmenting trend,which was conducive to preserving plant diversity,whereas increased and regularized large patches of built-up areas were not beneficial to plant diversity.Accordingly,forest protection should be prioritized to coordinate future socioeconomic development and plant diversity conservation in karst and broader regions.Furthermore,large built-up patches should be limited,and the irregularity should be improved during urban expansion.Irregular shaped cultivated land and grassland were suggested to promote biological information exchanges as landscape corridors. | YANG Shengtian LI Chaojun LOU Hezhen LUO Ya WANG Pengfei ZHANG Jun LI Xi WU Xijin | 2022 | Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,3: | 0 |

| 20 | Fast portrait automatic segmentation with coarse-to-fine CNNs显示文摘In this paper, we propose a coarse-to-fine convolutional network framework designed with problem specific knowledge for fast automatic portrait segmentation. We built up a dataset of 7 100 portrait images which are frames from personal live show videos. The proposed network includes a coarse network which can learn global information and a fine network which utilizes local information to refine the coarse output. Additionally, an auxiliary contour loss is introduced to help training the coarse network. The proposed framework shows higher accuracy than the widely-used fully convolutional network.
