| 1 | Geochemical characteristics of natural gas from mud volcanoes in the southern Junggar Basin显示文摘A number of mud volcanoes exist in the southern Junggar Basin. To date few systematic studies on natural gas geochemistry of mud volcanoes have been conducted in China. In June 1991 and August 2010, the authors investigated the mud volcanoes in the southern Junggar Basin twice, and the mud volcanism weakened gradually as seen from the variations such as the decrease of gas pressure and output, the downthrow and dry up of the mud pool. The volcanic intensity was significantly weaker than that in Taiwan. The natural gas from the mud volcanoes in the southern Junggar Basin has similar geochemical characteristics, indicating the same source or origin. The main component of the mud volcano gas is alkane gas with contents of 91.15%-97.49%, and the gas is high-quality commercial gas since methane dominates in the alkane. The 13C1 values are 49.1‰--40.6‰, which are in accordance with the peak 13C1 frequency of mud volcano gas around the world, and the alkane gas displays positive carbon isotopic series, i.e., 13C1< 13C2< 13C3, suggesting typical thermogenic origin. The helium in the mud volcano gas is typically crust-derived due to the low R/Ra values of 0.011-0.054. The mud volcano gas is coal-derived since the 13C2 values are all greater than 28‰, and C1/C1-4 and 13C1 values are in accordance with those of natural gas derived from the Lower-Middle Jurassic coal-measures. | 2 | Identification of marine natural gases with different origin sources显示文摘Kinetic experiments of gas generation for typical samples of marine gas precursors including low-maturity kerogen,residual kerogen and oil as well as dispersed liquid hydrocarbon(DLH)in source rocks were performed by closed system,and the evolution trends of molecular and isotopic compositions of natural gases from different precursors against the maturity(R0%)at laboratory conditions were analyzed.Several diagrams of gas origin were calibrated by using the experimental data.A diagram based on the ratio of normal and isomerous butane and pentane(i/nC4-i/nC5)was proposed and used to identify the origins of the typical marine natural gases in the Sichuan Basin and the Tarim Basin, China.And the maturities of natural gases were estimated by using the statistical relationships between the gaseous molecular carbon isotopic data and maturities(δ13C-R 0 %)with different origins.The results indicate that the molecular and isotopic compositions of simulated gases from different precursors are different from each other.For example,the dryness index of the oil-cracking gas is the lowest;the dryness indices of gases from DLH and kerogen in closed system are almost the same;and the dryness index of gases from residual kerogen is extremely high,indicating that the kerogen gases are very dry;the contents of non-hydrocarbon gases in kerogen-cracking gases are far higher than those in oil-cracking and DLH-cracking gases.The molecular carbon isotopes of oil-cracking gases are the lightest,those of kerogen in closed system and GLH-cracking gases are the second lightest,and those of cracking gases from residual kerogen are the heaviest.The calibration results indicate that the diagrams of ln(C1/C2)-ln(C2/C3)andδ13C2-δ13C3-ln(C2/C3)can discriminate primary and secondary cracking gases,but cannot be used to identify gas origin sources,while the diagram of i/nC4-i/nC5 can differentiate the gases from different precursors.The application results of these diagrams show that gas mixtures extensively exist in China,which involved the gases from multiple precursors and those from different maturity stages.For example,marine gases in the Sichuan Basin involve the mixture of oil-cracking gases and high-over-maturated kerogen gases,while those in the Tarim Basin involve not only the mixture of gases from multiple precursors,but also those from different maturity gases and post-reservoir alternations such as oxidized degradation and gas intrusion processes. | WANG YunPeng 1 ,ZHAO ChangYi 2 ,WANG ZhaoYun 2 ,WANG HongJun 2 ,TIAN Jin 1 ,ZOU YanRong 1 &LIU JinZhong1 1State Key Laboratory of Organic Geochemistry,Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Guangzhou 510640,China 2Institute of Geology,Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development,PetroChina,Beijing 100083,China | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,S1: | 4 |
| 3 | Photothermal therapy with regulated Nrf2/NF-κB signaling pathway for treating bacteria-induced periodontitis显示文摘Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease initiated by bacterial infection,developed by excessive immune response,and aggravated by high level of reactive oxygen species(ROS).Hence,herein,a versatile metal-organic framework(MOF)-based nanoplatform is prepared using mesoporous Prussian blue(MPB)nanoparticles to load BA,denoted as MPB-BA.The established MPB-BA nanoplatform serves as a shelter and reservoir for vulnerable immunomodulatory drug BA,which possesses antioxidant,anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects.Thus,MPB-BA can exert its antioxidant,anti-inflammatory functions through scavenging intracellular ROS to switch macrophages from M1 to M2 phenotype so as to relieve inflammation.The underlying molecular mechanism lies in the upregulation of phosphorylated nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)to scavenge ROS and subsequently inhibit the nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB)signal pathway.Moreover,MPB-BA also exhibited efficient photothermal antibacterial activity against periodontal pathogens under near-infrared(NIR)light irradiation.In vivo RNA sequencing results revealed the high involvement of both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory pathways after MPB-BA application.Meanwhile,micro-CT and immunohistochemical staining of p-Nrf2 and p-P65 further confirmed the superior therapeutic effects of MPB-BA than minocycline hydrochloride.This work may provide an insight into the treatment of periodontitis by regulating Nrf2/NF-κB signaling pathway through photothermal bioplatform-assisted immunotherapy. | Yujuan Tian Ying Li Jialin Liu Yi Lin Jian Jiao Bo Chen Wanmeng Wang Shuilin Wu Changyi Li | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,3: | 3 |
| 4 | On the calibration and verification of Voronoi-based discontinuous deformation analysis for modeling rock fracture显示文摘Since its introduction,discontinuous deformation analysis(DDA)has been widely used in different areas of rock mechanics.By dividing large blocks into subblocks and introducing artificial joints,DDA can be applied to rock fracture simulation.However,parameter calibration,a fundamental issue in discontinuum methods,has not received enough attention in DDA.In this study,the parameter calibration of DDA for intact rock is carefully studied.To this end,a subblock DDA with Voronoi tessellation is presented first.Then,a modified contact constitutive law is introduced,in which the tensile and shear meso-strengths are modified to be independent of the bond lengths.This improvement can prevent the unjustified preferential failure of short edges.A method for imposing confining pressure is also introduced.Thereafter,sensitivity analysis is performed to investigate the influence of the calculated parameters and meso-parameters on the mechanical properties of modeled rock.Based on the sensitivity analysis,a unified calibration procedure is suggested for both cases with and without confining pressure.Finally,the calibration procedure is applied to two examples,including a biaxial compression test.The results show that the proposed Voronoi-based DDA can simulate rock fracture with and without confining pressure very well after careful parameter calibration. | Kaiyu Zhang Feng Liu Kaiwen Xia Ying Xu Peng Dong Changyi Yu | 2023 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,8: | 2 |

| 6 | Ag_(3)PO_(4) decorated black urchin-like defective TiO_(2) for rapid and long-term bacteria-killing under visible light显示文摘Both phototherapy via photocatalysts and physical puncture by artificial nanostructures are promising substitutes for antibiotics when treating drug-resistant bacterial infectious diseases.However,the photodynamic therapeutic efficacy of photocatalysts is seriously restricted by the rapid recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.Meanwhile,the nanostructures of physical puncture are limited to two-dimensional(2D)platforms,and they cannot be fully used yet.Thus,this research developed a synergistic system of Ag_(3)PO_(4) nanoparticles(NPs),decorated with black urchin-like defective TiO_(2)(BU-TiO_(2-X)/Ag_(3)PO_(4)).These NPs had a decreased bandgap compared to BU-TiO_(2-X),and BU-TiO_(2)-X/Ag_(3)PO_(4)(3:1)exhibited the lowest bandgap and the highest separation efficiency for photogenerated electron-hole pairs.After combination with BU-TiO_(2-X),the photostability of Ag_(3)PO_(4) improved because the oxygen vacancy of BU-TiO_(2-X) retards the reduction of Ag^(+) in Ag_(3)PO_(4) into Ag^(0),thus reducing its toxicity.In addition,the nanospikes on the surface of BU-TiO_(2-X) can,from all directions,physically puncture bacterial cells,thus assisting the hybrid’s photodynamic therapeutic effects,alongside the small amount of Ag^(+) released from Ag_(3)PO_(4).This achieves synergy,endowing the hybrid with high antibacterial efficacy of 99.76±0.15%and 99.85±0.09%against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus,respectively,after light irradiation for 20 min followed by darkness for 12 h.It is anticipated that these findings may bring new insight for developing synergistic treatment strategies against bacterial infectious diseases or pathogenic bacterial polluted environments. | Yingde Xu Xiangmei Liu Yufeng Zheng Changyi Li Kelvin Wai Kwok Yeung Zhenduo Cui Yanqin Liang Zhaoyang Li Shengli Zhu Shuilin Wu | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,6: | 2 |

| 12 | Effect of microbial fermentation on the sensory characteristics and chemical compositions of Chinese sweet tea(Lithocarpus litseifolius(Hance)Chun)显示文摘Sweet tea,which has hundreds of years of use among in Chinese folk,is a traditional herbal tea with pleasant sweetness,bitterness and astringency.In the current study,we used traditional microbial fermentation to improve sensory characteristics of sweet tea,especially for the reduction of bitterness and astringency.The dynamic changes of non-volatile,volatile compounds and microbial community were investigated during microbial fermentation.The contents of polyphenols,flavonoids,soluble sugar,soluble protein,catechins and dihydrochalcones decreased significantly while the tea pigments,free amino acids and gallic acid content inversely increased during microbial fermentation.A total of 61 volatile compounds were identified and quantified in sweet tea,of which 20 key compounds were identified as odor active compounds(OAV),including 3 aldehydes,1 ketone,4 alcohols,9 esters,4 alkenes and 3 other compounds.In addition,eight fungi and four bacteria were considered as core microorganisms,such as Aspergillus,Alternaria,Cladosporium,Epicoccum,Itersonilia,Penicillium,Periconia,Wallemia,Aureimonas,Enterobacter,Klebsiella and Stenotrophomonas,which were significantly correlated with non-volatile compounds and flavor compounds.These results provided theoretical guidance for processing of fermented sweet tea. | Weimin Huang Changyi Zhang Zepeng Gu Cheng Li Zhengfeng Fang Zhen Zeng Zhiqing Zhang Bin Hu Hong Chen Wenjuan Wu Tiqiang Wang Xiguo Lan Yuntao Liu | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,46,2: | 1 |
| 13 | Economic Assessment and Policy Analysis on Wind Energy Development in China显示文摘Considering rapid development and emerging new challenges of China’s wind energy development,this paper summarizes and analyzes five critical problems.First,according to an economic potential assessment,if the feed-in tariff is set 0.60 Yuan/kWh,the economic potential of wind electricity of China will reach 6.63 PWh,it could meet as much as 2/3 of total power demand by 2030,thus the targeted wind power proportion in future high renewable energy penetration can be achieved.Second,wind energy is abundant but little consumed in Northwest,Northeast and North China while it is insufficient in South and East of China,where grid-connection condition is well.Due to this reverse distribution pattern of wind power endowment and consumption in China,grid-connection transmission must be strengthened in the future,particularly the West-East and North-South power transmission projects must be pushed forward.Third,to address the issue of increasing wind energy curtailment in Northeast,Northwest and North China,stimulating local consumption of wind power by multiple ways is a possible solution in the short term,however,in the medium and long run,it is necessary to accelerate the construction of Ultra-High Voltage power grid in order to expand power transmission to other provinces and regions.Fourth,a new electricity market mechanism should be established as the fundamental measure of promoting new energy development,while green certificate trading market and carbon trading market will form the basis for such market mechanism in the long run.Fifth,though wind power development can bring multiple benefits to economy,employment,and environment,large-scale wind power development will,to some extent,affect local and regional climate.As global warming continues,the wind power resource distribution of China and the world may experience significant changes. | LIU Changyi ZHU Rong WANG Yang | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Urban and Environmental Studies2017,5,4: | 0 |
| 14 | Effects of urea-N and CO_(2) coupling fertilization on the growth,photosynthesis,yield and anthocyanin content of hydroponic purple cabbage Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis显示文摘Water and fertilizer coupling is a high-efficiency technology for the development of facility agriculture.However,the interaction effect of nitrogen(N)and air carbon dioxide(CO_(2))on hydroponic purple cabbage,especially on its leaf anthocyanins under hydroponic solution systems,remains unexplored.In this study,six treatments were set as C0N0,C0N2,C0N4,C1N0,C1N2 and C1N4,with N0,N2 and N4 being 0.0 g/L,0.2 g/L and 0.4 g/L exogenous urea-N to hydroponic solution dilution,respectively.C0 and C1 were set as with and without CO_(2)fertilizer(i.e.,800 g CO_(2)agent added one week after transplanting and 600 g CO_(2)agent added when the plant reached 15 cm in height),respectively.Pot experiments were conducted to investigate the interaction effect of N and air CO_(2)(N×CO_(2))on the growth,photosynthesis,yield and anthocyanin content of hydroponic purple cabbage Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis.The results showed N×CO_(2)extremely significantly influenced plant height(H),net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Gs),intercellular oxidation concentration(Ci),transpiration rate(Tr),leaf water use efficiency(LWUE)and yield.The C1N0 treatment had the largest yield at 262.5 g/plant,with higher values for root length,root weight,plant height and leaf number than the other treatments.The Pn,Ci and Tr of C1N4 were the highest at 3.05μmol CO_(2)/m2·s,352.8μmol CO_(2)/m2·s and 2.31 mmol H2O/m2·s,respectively.The C1N2 treatment received the largest Gs value of 0.70 mol H2O/m2·s and the largest Tr of 2.31 mmol H2O/m2·s.There was the highest LWUE for C0N2(1.41)and the highest anthocyanin content for C1N2(1.35 mg/kg).There was a significant negative correlation between leaf number and anthocyanin(r=-0.414,p<0.05).The findings demonstrated that adding CO_(2)fertilizer and 0.2 g/L exogenous urea-N to hydroponic solution dilution is a potential N×CO_(2)coupling strategy to increase anthocyanin and the yield of purple cabbage. | Danyan Chen Yuanyuan Feng Ya Liu Juan Hu Shilong Li Jingze Ma Xinyu Lu Xiaorui Jiang Shuhui Sun Zhi Yang Changyi Wang | 2023 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,5: | 0 |

| 18 | Clinical Features of Spontaneous Remission in the Classic Fever of Unknown Origin:A Retrospective Study显示文摘Objective To summarize the clinical features of spontaneous remission in classic fever of unknown origin(FUO).Methods Medical records of 121 patients diagnosed with FUO at admission in Peking Union Medical College Hospital between January 2018 and June 2018 were reviewed retrospectively.Patients who were discharged without etiological diagnoses were followed for 2 years.The clinical features and outcomes of these patients were summarized.Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze related factors of spontaneous remission of FUO.Results After excluding 2 patients who lost to follow-up,the etiology of 119 FUO patients were as follows:infectious diseases in 30(25.2%)cases,connective tissue diseases in 28(23.5%)cases,tumor diseases in 8(6.7%)cases,other diseases in 6(5.0%)cases,and unknown diagnoses in 47(39.5%)cases.Totally,41 patients experienced spontaneous remission of fever(the median time from onset to remission was 9 weeks,ranging from 4 to 39 weeks).In patients with spontaneous remission in FUO,lymphadenopathy was less common clinical manifestation,the levels of inflammatory markers including leukocyte count,neutrophil count,neutrophil ratio,C-reactive protein,and ferritin were lower,and the proportion of CD8 positive T lymphocytes expressing CD38 was lower.Multivariate logistic regression analysis of factors with a P-value<0.05 in univariate analysis shown that white blood cell count(OR:0.S45,95%CI:0.306-0.971,P=0.039),neutrophil count(OR:2.074,95%CI:1.004-4.284,P=0.049),and proportion of neutrophils(OR:0.928,95%Cl:0.871-0.990,P=0.022)were independent significant factors associated with spontaneous remission in FUO.Conclusions This study suggested that most patients discharged with undiagnosed classic FUO would remit spontaneously.Thus,for patients with stable clinical conditions,follow-up and observation could be the best choice.Patients with lower level of some inflammatory factors may have a high likelihood of spontaneous remission in classic FUO. | Changyi Liu Xiaoqing Liu Xiaochun Shi | 2022 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2022,37,2: | 0 |

| 20 | Poverty Reduction Effect of Adaptation to Climate Change: Empirical Evidence from China’s Loess Plateau and Qinba Mountains显示文摘Based on the micro-survey data of rural households in China’s Loess Plateau and Qinba Mountains,this paper empirically examines the poverty reduction effect and mechanism of adaptation to climate change.The research conclusions show that the adaptation actions can significantly reduce the poverty vulnerability of farmers,especially the future incidence of poverty in agricultural or poor households to a greater extent,which is characterized by a“pro-poor”effect.Adaptation actions can reduce poverty from two aspects:decreasing the expected income volatility(loss mitigation effect)and increasing the expected income level(opportunity effect),and the former is stronger than the latter.In the post-2020 period,China should enhance policy support in rural areas to adapt to climate change,improve the resilience of farmers’livelihoods and climate change resilience of rural areas,and promote sustainable poverty reduction. | LIU Jie LIU Changyi | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Urban and Environmental Studies2020,8,3: | 0 |
