| 2 | Lignocellulosic biomass as sustainable feedstock and materials for power generation and energy storage显示文摘Lignocellulosic biomass has attracted great interest in recent years for energy production due to its renewability and carbon-neutral nature.There are various ways to convert lignocellulose to gaseous,liquid and solid fuels via thermochemical,chemical or biological approaches.Typical biomass derived fuels include syngas,bio-gas,bio-oil,bioethanol and biochar,all of which could be used as fuels for furnace,engine,turbine or fuel cells.Direct biomass fuel cells mediated by various electron carriers provide a new direction of lignocellulose conversion.Various metal and non-metal based carriers have been screened for mediating the electron transfer from biomass to oxygen thus generating electricity.The power density of direct biomass fuel cells can be over 100 mW cm^(-2),which shows promise for practical applications.Lignocellulose and its isolated components,primarily cellulose and lignin,have also been paid considerable attention as sustainable carbonaceous materials for preparation of electrodes for supercapacitors,lithium-ion batteries and lithium-sulfur batteries.In this paper,we have provided a state-of-the-art review on the research progress of lignocellulosic biomass as feedstock and materials for power generation and energy storage focusing on the chemistry aspects of the processes.It was recommended that process integration should be performed to reduce the cost for thermochemical and biological conversion of lignocellulose to biofuels,while efforts should be made to increase efficiency and improve the properties for biomass fuelled fuel cells and biomass derived electrodes for energy storage. | Fangqian Wang Denghao Ouyang Ziyuan Zhou Samuel JPage Dehua Liu Xuebing Zhao | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,6: | 8 |

| 4 | Biological removal of antiandrogenic activity in gray wastewater and coking wastewater by membrane reactor process显示文摘A recombinant human androgen receptor yeast assay was applied to investigate the occurrence of antiandrogens as well as the mechanism for their removal during gray wastewater and coking wastewater treatment. The membrane reactor(MBR) system for gray wastewater treatment could remove 88.0% of antiandrogenic activity exerted by weakly polar extracts and 97.3% of that by moderately strong polar extracts, but only 32.5%of that contributed by strong polar extracts. Biodegradation by microorganisms in the MBR contributed to 95.9% of the total removal. After the treatment, the concentration of antiandrogenic activity in the effluent was still 1.05 μg flutamide equivalence(FEQ)/L, 36.2%of which was due to strong polar extracts. In the anaerobic reactor, anoxic reactor, and membrane reactor system for coking wastewater treatment, the antiandrogenic activity of raw coking wastewater was 78.6 mg FEQ/L, and the effluent of the treatment system had only 0.34 mg FEQ/L. The antiandrogenic activity mainly existed in the medium strong polar and strong polar extracts. Biodegradation by microorganisms contributed to at least 89.2%of the total antiandrogenic activity removal in the system. | 5 | Credit Rationing and the Simulation of Bank-Small and Medium Sized Firm Artificial Credit Market显示文摘By analyzing the financing difficulties faced by the small and medium-sized firms, the paper built an artificial credit markets with the agent-based computational modeling to simulate the real world credit transactions. There are firms, banks, different risk-type projects as well as legal and supervision environments in which debt contracts constitute the financial instruments. The simulation results show that the number of collateral, average success probability of projects, and the prime interest rate have materially impact on bank's average profit, bank's capital, the overall interest rate,the number of borrowing firms, loan size, and the degree of credit rationing. These results in line with those of the classical S-W model in the sense that the relationship between bank profits and interest rates is non-monotonic as well as the relationship between credit rationing and interest rates. | 6 | Inter-group associations in Mongolian gerbils:Quantitative evidence from social network analysis显示文摘Animals often interact non-randomly with conspecifics,and association preferences can differ across life-history stages to maximize individuals’fitness.Mongolian gerbils(Meriones unguiculatus)are a social rodent that live in highly seasonal habitats and display seasonal fluctuations in population density,growth rate and the size of overlapped home ranges.Nevertheless,whether gerbils modify their social relationships at different life-history stages remains unknown.Here,we used social network analysis to examine whether social associations differ between the sexes and between life-history stages in a wild population of Mongolian gerbils.We quantified social attributes at both group level(assortativity)and individual level(social differentiation and degree,closeness and betweenness centrality);these attributes reflect individuals’social preferences and their potential influence on others in the network.We found that both male and female gerbils established fewer inter-group social connections during the food-hoarding season than during the breeding season,revealing constraints on sociality.Similarly,during the food-hoarding season,degree centrality and social differentiation increased significantly whereas closeness and betweenness centrality decreased significantly.Together,these results suggest that gerbils have relatively more partners and preferred associations and decreased influence over others in the network during the food-hoarding season.In addition,we found no significant difference in any of the social attribute between males and females,but there was a significant interaction effect between sex and season on degree,closeness and betweenness centrality.Our results demonstrate that Mongolian gerbils adjust their association strategies to adapt to the changes of life history.Such adjustments may balance the costs/benefits associated with survival and reproduction. | Ke DENG Wei LIU Dehua WANG | 2017 | Integrative Zoology2017,12,6: | 4 |

The results are as follows:The horizontal distribution of zooplankton biomass and the abundance of copepods, chaetognaths and siphonophores arecurred in the continent area northwest of Taiwan and the south-centre section of the East China Sea continent, which are the mix front of different waters. Zooplankton in the water area inside of Ryukyu Islands presented low abundance and high diversity. There are clear seasonal variations in zooplankton biomass and abundance in the study area. | 9 | Experimental investigation of EHD grease lubrication in finite line contacts显示文摘The objective of this study was to investigate the grease-lubricated film-forming mechanisms in the finite line contact and to improve the grease-lubricated finite line contact’s film-forming capacity.An elastohydrodynamic lubrication(EHL) test rig with two interferometry microscopes,which could simultaneously monitor two different contact locations in the finite line contact,was constructed in order to study the influences of the grease thickener formulation on the film thickness and lubrication condition.By using the relative light intensity method,the thickness maps of the grease-lubricated film were calculated from the interferometer images captured by the two microscopes.The test results revealed that the grease thickener’s formulation had remarkable effects on film formation and the perturbation of film thickness.For the lithium-based grease,the film’s thickness near the two ends of the roller was prone to severe perturbation caused by the conglomeration of clumps that were hard to shear.For the aluminum-complex-based grease,the fibers tended to accumulate in the middle of the roller rather than at the two ends.The urea-based grease could be easily sheared into smaller particles.In addition to the straight-line profile rollers,the logarithmic profile rollers were tested and found to effectively enhance the axial grease flow,increase the axial shear stress,and thus shear more fibers into particles within the contact area. | Zhijian WANG Xuejin SHEN Xiaoyang CHEN Dehua TAO Lei SHI Shuangbiao LIU | 2019 | Friction2019,7,3: | 2 |

| 11 | Experimental Investigation on the Pressure Propagation Mechanism of Tight Reservoirs显示文摘Low permeability tight sandstone reservoirs have a high filtrational resistance and a very low fluid flow rate.As a result,the propagation speed of the formation pressure is low and fluid flow behaves as a non-Darcy flow,which typically displays a highly non-linear behavior.In this paper,the characteristics and mechanism of pressure propagation in this kind of reservoir are revealed through a laboratory pressure propagation experiment and through data from an actual tight reservoir development.The main performance mechanism is as follows:A new pressure cage concept is proposed based on the pressure variation characteristics of the laboratory experiments.There are two methods of energy propagation in the actual water injection process:one is that energy is transmitted to the deep reservoir by the fluid flowing through the reservoir,and the other is that energy is transmitted by the elasticity of the reservoir.For one injection well model and one production well model,the pressure distribution curve between the injection and production wells,as calculated by the theoretical method,has three section types,and they show an oblique“S”shape with a straight middle section.However,the actual pressure distribution curve is nonlinear,with an obvious pressure advance at the front.After the injection pressure increases to a certain level,the curve shape is an oblique and reversed“S”shape.Based on the research,this paper explains the deep-seated reasons for the difference in pressure distribution and proposes that it is an effective way to develop low permeability tight reservoirs using the water injection supplement energy method. | Jing Sun Dehua Liu Xiang Zhu Wenjun Huang Liang Cheng | 2020 | Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2020,16,3: | 2 |

| 15 | Passive shock wave/boundary layer control of wing at transonic speeds显示文摘At supercritical conditions a porous strip(or slot strip) placed beneath a shock wave can reduce the drag by a weaker lambda shock system, and increase the buffet boundary, even may increase the lift. Passive shock wave/boundary layer control(PSBC) for drag reduction was conducted by SC(2)-0714 supercritical wing, with emphases on parameter of porous/slot and bump, such as porous distribution, hole diameter,cavity depth, porous direction and so on. A sequential quadratic programming(SQP) optimization method coupled with adjoint method was adopted to achieve the optimized shape and position of the bumps.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD), force test and oil test with half model all indicate that PSBC with porous, slot and bump generally reduce the drag by weaker lambda shock at supercritical conditions.According to wind tunnel test results for angle of attack of 2? at Mach number M = 0.8, the porous configuration with 6.21% porosity results in a drag reduction of 0.0002 and lift–drag ratio increase of 0.2, the small bump configuration results in a drag reduction of 0.0007 and lift–drag ratio increase of 0.3.Bump normally reduce drag at design point with shock wave position being accurately computed. This paper concerns about a novel mechatronic inerter, which is consisted of a hydraulic piston inerter and linear motor, called hydraulic electric inerter(HEI). Firstly, the structural components and the working principles of two types HEI device are introduced, and the dynamic model of the HEI is established. Then, three classifications of mechatronic inerter, namely, the single motor type, the linear inerter-motor type and the rotary inerter-motor type are presented,and in the meanwhile, some comparisons among the three types mechatronic inerter are analyzed. Subsequently, a methodology of designing and experimental tests of the HEI device is proposed by considering the rated working conditions of the linear motor and the electric elements. At last, the HEI device is conducted, and the force tests of the non-loaded HEI and loaded HEI are tested in order to validate their properties.
