| 2 | Effects of combined chemical design(Cu addition) and topographical modification(SLA) of Ti-Cu/SLA for promoting osteogenic, angiogenic and antibacterial activities显示文摘Cu has been proved to possess various beneficial biological activities, while sandblasting and acid etching(SLA) is widely used to modify the commercial dental implant in order to improve osseointegration. Based on the above, a novel antimicrobial dental implant material, Ti-Cu alloy, was treated with SLA, to combine chemical design(Cu addition) and topographical modification(SLA). In this work, the effects of SLA treated Ti-Cu alloys(Ti-Cu/SLA) on osteogenesis, angiogenesis and antibacterial properties were evaluated from both in vitro and in vivo tests, and Ti/SLA and Ti-Cu(without SLA) were served as control groups. Benefiting by the combined effects of chemical design(Cu addition) and micro-submicron hybrid structures(SLA),Ti-Cu/SLA had significantly improved inhibitory effects on oral anaerobic bacteria(P. gingivalis and S.mutans) and could induce upregulation of osteogenic-related and angiogenic-related genes expression in vitro. More importantly, in vivo studies also demonstrated that Ti-Cu/SLA implants had wonderful biological performance. In the osseointegration model, Ti-Cu/SLA implant promoted osseointegration via increasing peri-implant bone formation and presenting good bone-binding, compared to Ti/SLA and Ti-Cu implants. Additionally, in the peri-implantitis model, Ti-Cu/SLA effectively resisted the bone resorption resulted from bacterial infection and meanwhile promoted osseointegration. | 5 | Rnf20 deficiency in adipocyte impairs adipose tissue development and thermogenesis显示文摘RNF20,an E3 ligase critical for monoubiquitination of histone H2B at lysine 120(H2Bub),has been implicated in the regulation of various cellar processes;however,its physiological roles in adipocytes remain poorly characterized.Here,we report that the adipocyte-specific knockout of Rnf20(ASKO)in mice led to progressive fat toss,organomegaly and hyperinsulinemia.Despite signs of hyperinsulinemia,normal insulin sensitivity and improved glucose tolerance were observed in the young and aged CD-fed ASKO mice.In addition,high-fat diet-fed ASKO mice developed severe liver steatosis.Moreover,we observed that the ASKO mice were extremely sensitive to a cold environment due to decreased expression levels of brown adipose tissue(BAT)selective genes,including uncoupling protein 1(l/cpf),and impaired mitochondrial functions.Significantly decreased levels of peroxisome proliterator-activated receptor gamma(Ppary)were observed in the gonadal white adipose tissues(gWAT)from the ASKO mice,suggesting that Rnf20 regulates adipogenesis,at least in part,through Ppary.Rosiglitazone-treated ASKO mice exhibited increased fat mass compared to that of the non-treated ASKO mice.Collectively,our results illustrate the critical role of RNF20 in control of white and brown adipose tissue development and physiological function. | Xiaojuan Liang Cong Tao Jianfei Pan Lilan Zhang Lulu Liu Ying Zhao Yiping Fan Chunwei Cao Jiali Liu Jin Zhang Sin Man Lam Guanghou Shui Wanzhu Jin Wei Li Jianguo Zhao Kui Li Yanfang Wang | 2021 | Protein & Cell2021,12,6: | 1 |

| 9 | Cervicovaginal microbiome dynamics after taking oral probiotics显示文摘The vaginal microbiota is less complex than the gut microbiota,and the colonization of Lactobacillus in the female vagina is considered to be critical for reproductive health.Oral probiotics have been suggested as promising means to modulate vaginal homeostasis in the general population.In this study,60 Chinese women were followed for over a year before,during,and after treatment with the probiotics Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14.Shotgun metagenomic data of 1334 samples from multiple body sites did not support a colonization route of the probiotics from the oral cavity to the intestinal tract and then to the vagina.Our analyses enable the classification of the cervicovaginal microbiome into a stable state and a state of dysbiosis.The microbiome in the stable group steadily maintained a relatively high abundance of Lactobacilli over one year,which was not affected by probiotic intake,whereas in the dysbiosis group,the microbiota was more diverse and changed markedly over time.Data from a subset of the dysbiosis group suggests this subgroup possibly benefited from supplementation with the probiotics,indicating that probiotics supplementation can be prescribed for women in a subclinical microbiome setting of dysbiosis,providing opportunities for targeted and personalized microbiome reconstitution. | Chen Chen Lilan Hao Zhe Zhang Liu Tian Xiaowei Zhang Jie Zhu Zhuye Jie Xin Tong Liang Xiao Tao Zhang Xin Jin Xun Xu Huanming Yang Jian Wang Karsten Kristiansen Huijue Jia | 2021 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,8: | 1 |

| 18 | Protein arginine methyltransferase 3 fine-tunes the assembly/disassembly of pre-ribosomes to repress nucleolar stress by interacting with RPS2B in arabidopsis显示文摘Ribosome biogenesis,which takes place mainly in the nucleolus,involves coordinated expression of preribosomal RNAs(pre-rRNAs)and ribosomal proteins,pre-rRNA processing,and subunit assembly with the aid of numerous assembly factors.Our previous study showed that the Arabidopsis thaliana protein arginine methyltransferase AtPRMT3 regulates pre-rRNA processing;however,the underlying molecular mechanism remains unknown.Here,we report that AtPRMT3 interacts with Ribosomal Protein S2(RPS2),facilitating processing of the 90S/Small Subunit(SSU)processome and repressing nucleolar stress.We isolated an intragenic suppressor of atprmt3-2,which rescues the developmental defects of atprmt3-2 while produces a putative truncated AtPRMT3 protein bearing the entire N-terminus but lacking an intact enzymatic activity domain We further identified RPS2 as an interacting partner of AtPRMT3,and found that loss-of-function rps2a2b mutants were phenotypically reminiscent of atprmt3,showing pleiotropic developmental defects and aberrant pre-rRNA processing.RPS2B binds directly to pre-rRNAs in the nucleus,and such binding is enhanced in atprmt3-2.Consistently,multiple components of the 90S/SSU processome were more enriched by RPS2B in atprmt3-2,which accounts for early pre-rRNA processing defects and results in nucleolar stress.Collectively,our study uncovered a novel mechanism by which AtPRMT3 cooperates with RPS2B to facilitate the dynamic assembly/disassembly of the 90S/SSU processome during ribosome biogenesis and repress nucleolar stress. | Runlai Hang Zhen Wang Chao Yang Lilan Luo Beixin MO Xuemei Chen Jing Sun Chunyan Liu Xiaofeng Cao | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,2: | 0 |

| 20 | A Cross Layer Protocol for Fast Identification of Blocked Tags in Large-Scale RFID Systems显示文摘Blocker tag attack is one of the denial-of-service(DoS)attacks that threatens the privacy and security of RFID systems.The attacker interferes with the blocked tag by simulating a fake tag with the same ID,thus causing a collision of message replies.In many practical scenarios,the number of blocked tags may vary,or even be small.For example,the attacker may only block the important customers or high-value items.To avoid the disclosure of privacy and economic losses,it is of great importance to fast pinpoint these blocked ones.However,existing works do not take into account the impact of the number of blocked tags on the execution time and suffer from incomplete identification of blocked tags,long identification time or privacy leakage.To overcome these limits,we propose a cross layer blocked tag identification protocol(CLBI).CLBI consists of multiple rounds,in which it enables multiple unblocked tags to select one time slot and concurrently verify them by using tag estimation in physical layer.Benefiting from the utilization of most collision slots,the execution time can be greatly reduced.Furthermore,for efficient identification of blocked tags under different proportions,we propose a hybrid protocol named adaptive cross layer blocked tag identification protocol(A-CLBI),which estimates the remaining blocked tag in each round and adjusts the identification strategy accordingly.Extensive simulations show that our protocol outperforms state-of-the-art blocked tags identification protocol. | Chu Chu Zhong Huang Rui Xu Guangjun Wen Lilan Liu | 2020 | Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,9: | 0 |
