| 1 | Temperature dependence of the point defect properties of GaN thin films studied by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy显示文摘The dielectric functions of GaN for the temperature and frequency ranges of 10–300 K and 0.3–1 THz are obtained using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy.It is found that there are oscillations of the dielectric functions at various temperatures.Physically,the oscillation behavior is attributed to the resonance states of the point defects in the material.Furthermore,the dielectric functions are well fitted by the combination of the simple Drude model together with the classical damped oscillator model.According to the values of the fitting parameters,the concentration and electron lifetime of the point defects for various temperatures are determined,and the temperature dependences of them are in accordance with the previously reported result.Therefore,terahertz time-domain spectroscopy can be considered as a promising technique for investigating the relevant characteristics of the point defects in semiconductor materials. | FANG HeNan ZHANG Rong LIU Bin LI YeCao FU DeYi LI Yi XIE ZiLi ZHUANG Zhe ZHENG YouDou WU JingBo JIN BiaoBing CHEN Jian WU PeiHeng | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,11: | 6 |
| 2 | Analysis of the ore-controlling structure of the Shihu gold deposit, Hebei Province and deep-seated ore-prospecting prediction显示文摘Under the guidance of the theory of mantle-branch structure-associated metallogenesis and on the basis of the geological characteristics, analysis of the ore-forming and ore-controlling structures, the geochemical characteristics of metallogenesis, the source of ore-forming materials, changes in the physical and chemical conditions of metallogenesis, changes in the vertical width of ore veins, and changes in gold grade of the Shihu gold deposit, the mechanism of its metallogenesis was discussed and the rules of vertical variation of ore veins were summarized in this study. It is pointed out that the orebodies under exploitation at present time should be in the middle and upper portions of gold veins in the Shihu gold mining district. Particularly on the basis of the characteristics of mantle-branch structure-associated metallogenesis, it is indicated that metallogenesis is controlled mainly by such ore-forming conditions as temperature and pressure. Deep-seated ore-forming fluids are characterized mainly by injection and precipitation. So the vein bodies in the adjacent metallogenic structures are of obvious comparability, and there would be great prospects for ore search both at depth and in the periphery of the Shihu gold deposit. | 3 | Selective CO methanation over amorphous Ni-Ru-B/ZrO_2 catalyst for hydrogen-rich gas purification显示文摘Amorphous Ni-Ru-B/ZrO2 catalysts were prepared by chemical reduction method. The effects of Ni-Ru-B loading and Ru/Ni mole ratio on the catalytic performance for selective CO methanation from reformed fuel were studied, and the catalysts were characterized by BET, ICP, XRD and TPD. The results showed that Ru strongly affected the catalytic activity and selectivity by increasing the thermal stability of amorphous structure, promoting the dispersion of the catalyst particle, and intensifying the CO adsorption. For the catalysts with Ru/Ni mole ratio under 0.15, the CO methanation conversion and selectivity increased significantly with the increasing Ru/Ni mole ratio. | 6 | Succinate dehydrogenase SDH1–1 positively regulates cotton resistance to Verticillium dahliae through a salicylic acid pathway显示文摘Background:Verticillium wilt,caused by the soil-borne fungus of Verticillium dahliae Kleb.,is one of the most devastating diseases of cotton.The complex mechanism underlying cotton resistance to Verticillium wilt remains uncharacterized.Identifying an endogenous resistance gene may be helpful to control this disease.Previous studies revealed that succinate dehydrogenase(SDH)is involved in reactive oxygen species(ROS)-induced stress signaling pathway that is likely to be triggered by salicylic acid(SA).Here,through the metabolomics and differential expression analyses in wilt-inoculated cotton(Gossypium hirsutum),we noticed that Gh SDH1–1 gene in cotton may play an important role in the resistance to V.dahlia.Then we reported Gh SDH1–1 gene and its functional analysis in relation to the resistance of cotton to V.dahliae.Results:The Gh SDH1–1 gene in cotton root was significantly up-regulated after V.dahlia inoculation,and its expression level peaked at 12 and 24 h post-infection.SA can also induce the up-regulation of Gh SDH1–1.Additionally,the functional analysis showed that Gh SDH1–1-silenced cotton was more susceptible to V.dahliae than the control because of the significant decrease in abundance of immune-related molecules and severe damage to the SA-signaling pathway.In Arabidopsis thaliana,high expression of Gh SDH1–1 conferred high resistance to V.dahliae.Arabidopsis that overexpressed Gh SDH1–1 had higher resistance to V.dahliae infection compared with the wild-type.Conclusions:Our findings provide new insights into the role of Gh SDH1–1;it positively regulates cotton resistance to Verticillium wilt.The regulatory mechanism of Gh SDH1–1 is closely related to SA-related signaling pathway. | ZHANG Xiangyue FENG Zili ZHAO Lihong LIU Shichao WEI Feng SHI Yongqiang FENG Hongjie ZHU Heqin | 2020 | Journal of Cotton Research2020,3,2: | 3 |
| 7 | Structural properties of GaN(0001) epitaxial layers revealed by high resolution X-ray diffraction显示文摘High-resolution X-ray diffraction has been used to analyze GaN(0001) epitaxial layers on sapphire substrates. Several structural properties of GaN, including the lattice constants, strains, and dislocation densities are revealed by the technique of X-ray dffraction (XRD). Lattice constants calculated from the omega/2theta scan are c=0.5185 nm and a=0.3157 nm. Also, the in-plane strain is -1.003%, while out of the plane, the epitaxial film is almost relaxed. | 9 | Simulation of growing GaN in vertical HVPE reactor显示文摘The paper reports the setting up of a model of fluid dynamic for GaN HVPE system and the simulation. It is found that when the direction of gravity is opposite to the direction of GaCl flow inlet,there exits a distance at which the uniformity of the deposition is optimal. Here the good uniformity of the deposition is obtained when the distance between the substrate and GaCl inlet is 5 cm. The parameters of gas flow used in growing GaN are also optimized. In addition, the influence of gravity and buoyancy on the deposition of GaN is discussed, too. It is found that the angle between the direction of gravity and the direction of GaCl flow inlet has a major effect on the deposition rate and the uniformity of the growth. We first generate a modified and compact similarity matrix based on selected features and distance metrics,and then several improved techniques for music repeated pattern discovery are utilized because a music snippet is usually a part of the repeated melody,main theme or chorus. During the process,redundant and wrongly detected patterns are discarded,boundaries are corrected using beat information,and final clusters are also further sorted according to the occurrence frequency and energy information. Subsequently,following our methods,we designed a music snippet extraction system which allows users to detect snippets. | 14 | Hydrogen production by glycerol reforming in supercritical water over Ni/MgO-ZrO_2 catalyst显示文摘Nano ZrO2 and MgO-ZrO2 were prepared by a self-assembly route and were employed as the support for Ni catalysts used in hydrogen production from glycerol reforming in supercritical water (SCW). The reforming experiments were conducted in a tubular fixed-bed flow reactor over a temperature range of 600-800℃. The influences of process variables such as temperature, contact time, and water to glycerol ratio on hydrogen yield were investigated and the catalysts were charactered by ICP, BET, XRD and SEM. The results showed that high hydrogen yield was obtained from glycerol by reforming in supercritical water over the Ni/MgO-ZrO2 catalysts in a short contact time. The MgO in the catalyst showed significant promotion effect for hydrogen production likely due to the formation of the alkaline active site. Even when the glycerol feed concentration was up to 45 wt%, glycerol was completely gasified and transfered to the gas products containing hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and methane along with small amounts of carbon monoxide. | 17 | Overexpression of Sirt6 ameliorates sleep deprivation induced-cognitive impairment by modulating glutamatergic neuron function显示文摘Sleep benefits the restoration of energy metabolism and thereby suppo rts neuronal plasticity and cognitive behaviors.Sirt6 is a NAD+-dependent protein deacetylase that has been recognized as an essential regulator of energy metabolism because it modulates various transcriptional regulators and metabolic enzymes.The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of Sirt6 on cerebral function after chronic sleep deprivation(CSD).We assigned C57BL/6J mice to control or two CSD groups and subjected them to AAV2/9-CMV-EGFP or AAV2/9-CMV-Sirt6-EGFP infection in the prelimbic cortex(PrL).We then assessed cerebral functional connectivity(FC) using resting-state functional MRI,neuron/astrocyte metabolism using a metabolic kinetics analysis;dendritic spine densities using sparse-labeling;and miniature excitato ry postsynaptic currents(mEPSCs) and action potential(AP) firing rates using whole-cell patchclamp recordings.In addition,we evaluated cognition via a comprehensive set of behavioral tests.Compared with controls,Sirt6 was significantly decreased(P<0.05) in the PrL after CSD,accompanied by cognitive deficits and decreased FC between the PrL and accumbens nucleus,piriform cortex,motor co rtex,somatosensory co rtex,olfactory tubercle,insular cortex,and cerebellum.Sirt6 ove rexpression reve rsed CSD-induced cognitive impairment and reduced FC.Our analysis of metabolic kinetics using [1-13C] glucose and [2-13C] acetate showed that CSD reduced neuronal Glu4and GABA2synthesis,which could be fully restored via forced Sirt6 expression.Furthermore,Sirt6 ove rexpression reversed CSD-induced decreases in AP firing rates as well as the frequency and amplitude of mEPSCs in PrL pyramidal neurons.These data indicate that Sirt6 can improve cognitive impairment after CSD by regulating the PrL-associated FC network,neuronal glucose metabolism,and glutamatergic neurotransmission.Thus,Sirt6 activation may have potential as a novel strategy for treating sleep disorder-related diseases. | Jinpiao Zhu Chang Chen Zhen Li Xiaodong Liu Jingang He Ziyue Zhao Mengying He Binbin Nie Zili Liu Yingying Chen Kuanpin Su Xiang Li Juxiang Chen Hongbing Xiang Fuqiang Xu Kangguang Lin Zongze Zhang Jie Wang | 2023 | Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,11: | 1 |
