4Application of deep learning in ecological resource research:Theories, methods, and challenges显示文摘Ecological resources are an important material foundation for the survival,development,and self-realization of human beings.In-depth and comprehensive research and understanding of ecological resources are beneficial for the sustainable development of human society.Advances in observation technology have improved the ability to acquire long-term,cross-scale,massive,heterogeneous,and multi-source data.Ecological resource research is entering a new era driven by big data.Traditional statistical learning and machine learning algorithms have problems with saturation in dealing with big data.Deep learning is a method for automatically extracting complex high-dimensional nonlinear features,which is increasingly used for scientific and industrial data processing because of its ability to avoid saturation with big data.To promote the application of deep learning in the field of ecological resource research,here,we first introduce the relationship between deep learning theory and research on ecological resources,common tools,and datasets.Second,applications of deep learning in classification and recognition,detection and localization,semantic segmentation,instance segmentation,and graph neural network in typical spatial discrete data are presented through three cases:species classification,crop breeding,and vegetation mapping.Finally,challenges and opportunities for the application of deep learning in ecological resource research in the era of big data are summarized by considering the characteristics of ecological resource data and the development status of deep learning.It is anticipated that the cooperation and training of cross-disciplinary talents may promote the standardization and sharing of ecological resource data,improve the universality and interpretability of algorithms,and enrich applications with the development of hardware.Qinghua GUO Shichao JIN Min LI Qiuli YANG Kexin XU Yuanzhen JU Jing ZHANG Jing XUAN Jin LIU Yanjun SU Qiang XU Yu LIU 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,10:7
5Catalytic performance of hierarchical H-ZSM-5/MCM-41 for methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether显示文摘Micro-mesoporous composite molecular sieves H-ZSM-5/MCM-41 were prepared by the hydrothermal technique with alkali-treated H-ZSM-5zeolite as the source and characterized by scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,energy dispersive spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,N2 adsorption-desorption measurement and NH3 temperature-programmed desorption.The catalytic performances for the methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether over H-ZSM-5/MCM-41 were evaluated.Among these catalysts,H-ZSM-5/MCM-41 prepared with NaOH dosage (nNa/nSi) varying from 0.4 to 0.47 presented excellent catalytic activity with more than 80%methanol conversion and 100%dimethyl ether selectivity in a wide temperature range of 170—300℃,and H-ZSM-5/MCM-41 prepared with nNa/nSi=0.47 showed constant methanol conversion of about 88.7%,100% dimethyl ether selectivity and excellent lifetime at 220℃.The excellent catalytic performances were due to the highly active and uniform acidic sites and the hierarchical porosity in the micro-mesoporous composite molecular sieves.The catalytic mechanism of H-ZSM-5/MCM-41 for the methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether process was also discussed.Yu Sang Hongxiao Liu Shichao He Hansheng Li Qingze Jiao Qin Wu Kening Sun 2013Journal of Energy Chemistry2013,22,5:7

8Exploring Seasonal and Circadian Rhythms in Structural Traits of Field Maize from LiDAR Time Series显示文摘Plant growth rhythm in structural traits is important for better understanding plant response to the ever-changing environment.Terrestrial laser scanning(TLS)is a well-suited tool to study structural rhythm under field conditions.Recent studies have used TLS to describe the structural rhythm of trees,but no consistent patterns have been drawn.Meanwhile,whether TLS can capture structural rhythm in crops is unclear.Here,we aim to explore the seasonal and circadian rhythms in maize structural traits at both the plant and leaf levels from time-series TLS.The seasonal rhythm was studied using TLS data collected at four key growth periods,including jointing,bell-mouthed,heading,and maturity periods.Circadian rhythms were explored by using TLS data acquired around every 2 hours in a whole day under standard and cold stress conditions.Results showed that TLS can quantify the seasonal and circadian rhythm in structural traits at both plant and leaf levels.(1)Leaf inclination angle decreased significantly between the jointing stage and bell-mouthed stage.Leaf azimuth was stable after the jointing stage.(2)Some individual-level structural rhythms(e.g.,azimuth and projected leaf area/PLA)were consistent with leaf-level structural rhythms.(3)The circadian rhythms of some traits(e.g.,PLA)were not consistent under standard and cold stress conditions.(4)Environmental factors showed better correlations with leaf traits under cold stress than standard conditions.Temperature was the most important factor that significantly correlated with all leaf traits except leaf azimuth.This study highlights the potential of time-series TLS in studying outdoor agricultural chronobiology.Shichao Jin Yanjun Su Yongguang Zhang Shilin Song Qing Li Zhonghua Liu Qin Ma Yan Ge LingLi Liu Yanfeng Ding Frédéric Baret Qinghua Guo 2021Plant Phenomics2021,3,1:5
9Tectonic Evolution of Southeast Central Asian Orogenic Belt: Evidence from Geochronological Data and Paleontology of the Early Paleozoic Deposits in Inner Mongolia显示文摘In this study, we present detrital zircon U-Pb dating and paleontological data for the newly identified Ayadeng Formation in the northern margin of the North China Block(NCB) and Xibiehe Formation(molasse) in the Bainaimiao arc belt(BAB), which could provide strong evidence indicating the affinity of the BAB and the evolution of the southeast Central Asian orogenic belt(CAOB). Zircon U-Pb data of siltstone samples and paleontological data indicate the Ayadeng Formation dates back to the Early Ordovician. Although its location is near the NCB, its zircon age spectra and paleontology share a closer affinity with those of Tarim and NE Gondwana, as the U-Pb data suggest an age range of 490–2 192 Ma(peak age=629, 788, 965 and 1 935 Ma), and similar gastropod fossils are found in Tarim and NE Gondwana. The U-Pb ages of meta-sandstone samples in the Xuniwusu Formation indicate a shared inheritance with the Ayadeng Formation(before 440 Ma), and the U-Pb ages of sandstone samples in the Xibiehe Formation are concentrated, with age peaks centered at ca. 420 Ma. Fossil corals occur in these two formations, and their age components also indicate a collisional setting. Therefore, it is speculated that the BAB drifted away from Tarim or NE Gondwana during the Ordovician and became attached to northern NCB between 440–420 Ma as an exotic terrane. 10Angle-dependent discoloration structures in wing scales of Morpho menelaus butterfly显示文摘The Morpho butterfly is famous for its typical structural color and has increasingly attracted the interest of scholars in a wide variety of research fields. Herein, it was found that the color of Morpho menelaus butterfly wings is not only structure-based but also viewing-angle-dependent. Firstly, the discoloration effect of this typical butterfly was confirmed by a series of experiments. Then, the general form, arrangements, and geometrical dimensions of the scales were observed using a stereomicroscope. Scanning electron microscopy was also used to examine the two-dimensional morphologies and structures of a single scale. Afterwards, one model with the optimized three-dimensional profile of the structure was described using Pro-engineer software. The associate model was then analyzed to reconstruct the process between the incident light and the model surface. Finally, the mechanism of the angle-dependent discoloration effect was analyzed by theoretical calculation and optical simulation. Different light propagation paths and the length of the incident light at different angles caused destructive or constructive interference between the light reflected from the different layers. The different spectra of the reflected light make the wings appear with different structural colors, thereby endowing the angle-dependent discoloration effect. The consistency of the calculation and simulation results confirms that these structures possess an excellent angle-dependent discoloration effect. 11A Core Leader Based Label Propagation Algorithm for Community Detection显示文摘A large number of community discovery algorithms have been proposed in the last decade. Recently, the sharp increase of network scale has become a great challenge for traditional community discovery algorithms. Label propagation algorithm is a semi-supervised machine learning method, which has linear time complexity when coping with large scale networks. However, the output result has less stability and the quality of the output communities still remains to be improved. Therefore, we propose a novel coreleader based label propagation algorithm for community detection called CLBLPA. Firstly, we find core leaders of potential community by using a greedy method. Then we utilize the label influence potential to guide the process of label propagation. Thus we can accelerate the convergence of algorithm and improve the stability of the output. 12m6A RNA methylation-mediated HNF3γreduction renders hepatocellular carcinoma dedifferentiation and sorafenib resistance显示文摘Hepatocyte nuclear factor 3γ(HNF3γ)is a hepatocyte nuclear factor,but its role and clinical significance in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remain unclear.Herein,we report that HNF3γexpression is downregulated in patient HCC and inversely correlated with HCC malignancy and patient survival.Moreover,our data suggested that the HNF3γreduction in HCC could be mediated by METTL14-dependent m6A methylation of HNF3γmRNA.HNF3γexpression was increased during hepatic differentiation and decreased in dedifferentiated HCC cells.Interestingly,HNF3γdelivery promoted differentiation of not only HCC cells but also liver CSCs,which led to suppression of HCC growth.Mechanistic analysis suggested an HNF3γ-centered regulatory network that includes essential liver differentiation-associated transcription factors and functional molecules,which could synergistically facilitate HCC cell differentiation.More importantly,enforced HNF3γexpression sensitized HCC cells to sorafenib-induced growth inhibition and cell apoptosis through transactivation of OATP1B1 and OATP1B3 expression,which are major membrane transporters for sorafenib uptake.Clinical investigation showed that patient-derived HCC xenografts with high HNF3γexpression exhibited a sorafenib response and patients with high HCC HNF3γlevels benefited from sorafenib therapy.Together,these results suggest that HNF3γplays an essential role in HCC differentiation and may serve as a therapeutic target and predictor of sorafenib benefit in patients.Tengfei Zhou Shichao Li Daimin Xiang Junyu Liu Wen Sun Xiuliang Cui Beifang Ning Xiao Li Zhuo Cheng Weiqi Jiang Cheng Zhang Xijun Liang Liang Li Xin Cheng Liu Hui Hongyang Wang Jin Ding 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:4
13Multivalent Sn species synergistically favours the CO_(2)-into-HCOOH conversion显示文摘Although Sn-based catalysts have recently achieved considerable improvement in selective electro-catalyzing CO_(2)into HCOOH,the role of various valence Sn species is not fully understood due to the complexity and uncertainty of their evolution during the reaction process.Here,inspired by the theoretical simulations that the concomitant multivalent Sn(Sn^(0),Sn^(Ⅱ)and Sn^(Ⅳ))can significantly motivate the intrinsic activity of Sn-based catalyst,the Sn/SnO/SnO_(2)nanosheets were proposed to experimentally verify the synergistic effect of multivalent Sn species on the CO_(2)-into-HCOOH conversion.During CO_(2)reduction reaction,the Sn/SnO/SnO_(2)nanosheets,which are prepared by the sequential hydrothermal reaction,calcined crystallization and low-temperature H_(2)treatment,exhibit a high FEHCOOH of 89.6%at-0.9 VRHE as well as a large cathodic current density.Systematic experimental and theoretical results corroborate that multivalent Sn species synergistically energize the CO_(2)activation,the HCOO*adsorption,and the electron transfer,which make Sn/SnO/SnO_(2)favour the conversion from CO_(2)into HCOOH in both thermodynamics and kinetics.This proof-of-concept study establishes a relationship between the enhanced performance and the multivalent Sn species,and also provides a practicable and scalable avenue for rational engineering high-powered electrocatalysts.Jun Wu Xue Bai Zhiyu Ren Shichao Du Ziehen Song Lei Zhao Bowen Liu Guiling Wang Honggang Fu 2021Nano Research2021,14,4:4
14Semisolid-rolling and annealing process of woven carbon fibers reinforced Al-matrix composites显示文摘Semisolid-rolling method was successfully developed to prepare the Ni-coated woven carbon fibers reinforced Al-matrix composite. Due to the appropriate matrix flowability and rolling pressure, the Al-matrix could infiltrate into the woven fibers sufficiently and attach to the reinforcements closely forming a smooth interface. The rolling speed of 4 rad/min offered a subtle equilibrium between the heat transfer and the material deformation. The covering matrix should be controlled at semisolid state to provide a better infiltration behavior and a protective effect on the carbon fibers. With the addition of fibers, an improvement for more than 25% was obtained in the bending strength of the materials. Furthermore, the woven carbon fibers could strengthen the composite in multiple directions, rather than only along the fiber longitudinal directions. 15Free-standing ZnO nanorod arrays modified with single-walled carbon nanotubes for betavoltaics and photovoltaics显示文摘A full-duplex radiant energy converter based on both betavoltaic and photovoltaic effects in an easyto-implement way is an attractive alternative for the autonomous wireless sensor microsystem.Here,we report a novel beta/photovoltaic cell based on free-standing Zn O nanorod arrays(ZNRAs)modified with metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes(m-SWCNTs),using radioisotope63 Ni as beta-emitting source.The ZNRAs were grown on Al-doped Zn O(AZO)conductive glass using hydrothermal method.The optimum length and diameter of Zn O nanorods were determined by Monte Carlo simulation for beta energy deposition in ZNRAs.The m-SWCNTs were anchored into the ZNRAs to form a three-dimensional(3-D)Schottky junction structure for effectively separating the beta/photo-excited electron-hole pairs.Experimentally,the betavoltaic and photovoltaic effects were confirmed through the I-V measurements of beta/photovoltaic cells under beta/UV/Vis irradiations,respectively.It is suggested that the m-SWCNTs play key role for the enhancement of beta/photovoltaic performance through the formation of extensive3-D Schottky junction,the conductive network for hole transport,and the surface plasmon resonance exciton absorption for visible light.Changsong Chen Jiang Chen Zhen Wang Jian Zhang Haisheng San Shichao Liu Chunyu Wu Werner Hofmann 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,54,19:3

17Permian Tectonic Evolution in the Middle Part of Central Asian Orogenic Belt: Evidence from Newly Identified Volcanic Rocks in the Bilutu Area, Inner Mongolia显示文摘In this study, zircon U-Pb ages, geochemical and Lu-Hf isotopic data are presented for the newly identified volcanic rocks which were considered as Bainaimiao group in Bainaimiao Arc Belt(BAB), Inner Mongolia, which could provide important constraints on the evolution of the northern part of North China Block(NCB) and BAB. Basalt to basaltic andesite and andesite to dacite were collected from two sections, which showed eruption ages of 278.2±4.1 Ma and 258.3±3.0 Ma respectively. All samples are characterized by high abundances in Al2O3, LREEs, and LILEs, but depleted in HFSEs. Together with high Mg# ratios and low K/tholeiite to calc-alkaline series, these features indicated that basalt to andesite was likely derived from relatively low degree partial melting of the subduction-fluid related mantle in the spinel phase. And dacite was mainly from the partial melting of crust, then affected by mantle. All samples barely went through fractional crystallization process with the slight Eu anomaly. Compared with the contemporary basalt in NCB, rocks in BAB have a complex composition of zircon and a more positive εHf(t) value(-6.6-6.4), indicating that they had different magma sources of rocks. Though with different basements, NCB and BAB have become an integrated whole before 278 Ma. 19Treatment of Skin Reaction Induced by Nivolumab Combined with Radiotherapy in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer:A Case Report显示文摘Skin reaction or dermatological toxicities induced by immunotherapy is common.It usually manifests skin rash or erythema and can be cured by skin lotion or steroid.Nivolumab,a human IgG4 programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1)inhibitor,blocks T cells activation preventing signal and allows the immune system to clear cancer cells.Nivolumab was approved in the second-line therapy in squamous cell lung cancer by FDA,with less than 10%unusual skin reaction,like sensory neuropathy,peeling skin,erythema multiforme,vitiligo,and psoriasis.Radiotherapy could aggravate this skin reaction through inflammatory response and promotion of immunity.The combined treatment of anti-PD-1 and radiotherapy represented a new promising therapeutic approach in many studies,but the risk of side effects may be high.We reported a patient with advanced squamous cell lung cancer who suffered from serious skin immune-related adverse events when he was treated with nivolumab and radiotherapy.The immune overreaction of the treatment of anti-PD-1 treatment and radiotherapy might cause these serious skin adverse events.Our report warranted careful workup to reduce the risk of side effects by combinative therapy with anti-PD-1 and radiotherapy.Zhimei Zhao Shichao Liu Xiajuan Xu Zhongfa Zhang Keke Nie Youxin Ji 2018Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2018,33,3:3
20Succinate dehydrogenase SDH1–1 positively regulates cotton resistance to Verticillium dahliae through a salicylic acid pathway显示文摘Background:Verticillium wilt,caused by the soil-borne fungus of Verticillium dahliae Kleb.,is one of the most devastating diseases of cotton.The complex mechanism underlying cotton resistance to Verticillium wilt remains uncharacterized.Identifying an endogenous resistance gene may be helpful to control this disease.Previous studies revealed that succinate dehydrogenase(SDH)is involved in reactive oxygen species(ROS)-induced stress signaling pathway that is likely to be triggered by salicylic acid(SA).Here,through the metabolomics and differential expression analyses in wilt-inoculated cotton(Gossypium hirsutum),we noticed that Gh SDH1–1 gene in cotton may play an important role in the resistance to V.dahlia.Then we reported Gh SDH1–1 gene and its functional analysis in relation to the resistance of cotton to V.dahliae.Results:The Gh SDH1–1 gene in cotton root was significantly up-regulated after V.dahlia inoculation,and its expression level peaked at 12 and 24 h post-infection.SA can also induce the up-regulation of Gh SDH1–1.Additionally,the functional analysis showed that Gh SDH1–1-silenced cotton was more susceptible to V.dahliae than the control because of the significant decrease in abundance of immune-related molecules and severe damage to the SA-signaling pathway.In Arabidopsis thaliana,high expression of Gh SDH1–1 conferred high resistance to V.dahliae.Arabidopsis that overexpressed Gh SDH1–1 had higher resistance to V.dahliae infection compared with the wild-type.Conclusions:Our findings provide new insights into the role of Gh SDH1–1;it positively regulates cotton resistance to Verticillium wilt.The regulatory mechanism of Gh SDH1–1 is closely related to SA-related signaling pathway.ZHANG Xiangyue FENG Zili ZHAO Lihong LIU Shichao WEI Feng SHI Yongqiang FENG Hongjie ZHU Heqin 2020Journal of Cotton Research2020,3,2:3
