| 1 | ZmCOL3, a CCT gene represses flowering in maize by interfering with the circadian clock and activating expression of ZmCCT显示文摘Flowering time is a trait vital to the adaptation of flowering plants to different environments.Here, we report that CCT domain genes play an important role in flowering in maize(Zea mays L.).Among the 53 CCT family genes we identified in maize, 28 were located in flowering time quantitative trait locus regions and 15 were significantly associated with flowering time, based on candidate-gene association mapping analysis.Furthermore, a CCT gene named ZmCOL3 was shown to be a repressor of flowering.Overexpressing ZmCOL3 delayed flowering time by approximately 4 d, in either long-day or short-day conditions.The absence of one cytosine in the ZmCOL3 3'UTR and the presence of a 551 bp fragment in the promoter region are likely the causal polymorphisms contributing to the maize adaptation from tropical to temperate regions.We propose a modified model of the maize photoperiod pathway, wherein ZmCOL3 acts as an inhibitor of flowering either by transactivating transcription of ZmCCT, one of the key genes regulating maize flowering, or by interfering with the circadian clock. | Minliang Jin Xiangguo Liu Wei Jia Haijun Liu Wenqiang Li Yong Peng Yanfang Du Yuebin Wang Yuejia Yin Xuehai Zhang Qing Liu Min Deng Nan Li Xiyan Cui Dongyun Hao Jianbing Yan | 2018 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2018,60,6: | 14 |
| 2 | Comprehensive analysis of CBM recovery in high rank coal reservoir of Jincheng area显示文摘Coalbed methane (CBM) predicting recovery in high rank coal reservoir varies greatly in Jincheng area and it seriously influences efficient and economic exploitation of CBM resource. In order to predict more accurate CBM recovery, we conducted history matching and productivity prediction of vertical well by using COMET 3 reservoir modeling software, innovatively adopted the gas desorption experiment of bulk coal at fixed test pressure, analyzed the recovery extent method of Daning multiple-hole horizontal well and Panzhuang well group, and calculated recovery by sorption isotherm method of 14 vertical CBM wells at the abandonment pressures 1.0, 0.7, 0.5 and 0.3 MPa, respectively. The results show that the reservoir simulation methods (numerical simulation method and the recovery extent method) is more reliable than the theoretical analysis of coal sample (sorption isotherm method and desorption experiment method). Also, desorption experiment method at fixed pressure is superior to sorption isotherm method. Through the comprehensive analysis and linear correction, CBM recovery ratios in high rank coal reservoir of Jincheng area were found to be 38.64%, 49.30%, 59.30%, and 69.20% at the abandonment pressures 1.0, 0.7, 0.5 and 0.3 MPa, respectively. | 3 | Mechanical criterion for coal and gas outburst:a perspective from multiphysics coupling显示文摘Although a series of hypotheses have been proposed,the mechanism underlying coal and gas outburst remains unclear.Given the low-index outbursts encountered in mining practice,we attempt to explore this mechanism using a multiphysics coupling model considering the effects of coal strength and gas mass transfer on failure.Based on force analysis of coal ahead of the heading face,a risk identification index C_(m)and a critical criterion(C_(m)≥1)of coal instability are proposed.According to this criterion,the driving force of an outburst consists of stress and gas pressure gradients along the heading direction of the roadway,whereas resistance depends on the shear and tensile strengths of the coal.The results show that outburst risk decreases slightly,followed by a rapid increase,with increasing vertical stress,whereas it decreases with increasing coal strength and increases with gas pressure monotonically.Using the response surface method,a coupled multi-factor model for the risk identification index is developed.The results indicate strong interactions among the controlling factors.Moreover,the critical values of the factors corresponding to outburst change depending on the environment of the coal seams,rather than being constants.As the buried depth of a coal seam increases,the critical values of gas pressure and coal strength decrease slightly,followed by a rapid increase.According to its controlling factors,outburst can be divided into stress-dominated,coal-strength-dominated,gas-pressure-dominated,and multi-factor compound types.Based on this classification,a classified control method is proposed to enable more targeted outburst prevention. | Ting Liu Baiquan Lin Xuehai Fu Ang Liu | 2021 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2021,8,6: | 5 |
| 4 | The metabolic role of LncZBTB39-1:2 in the trophoblast mobility of preeclampsia显示文摘Preeclampsia is characterized by new onset of hypertension and proteinuria after 20 weeks’gestation and is a leading cause of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.The pathogenesis of preeclampsia is often associated with aberrant trophoblast function that leads to shallow placental implantation.However,the exact underlying mechanisms remain unclear.Placental LncZBTB39-1:2 expression level was investigated in 20 healthy placentae and 20 placentae with preeclampsia using qRT-PCR,and the metabolic profile of trophoblasts overexpressing LncZBTB39-1:2 in vitro was analysed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GCeMS).In this study,we found that the expression of LncZBTB39-1:2 was significantly higher in preeclamptic placentae than in healthy placentae.Our metabolomics results have shown that tricarboxylic acid cycle intermediates and metabolites related to carbohydrate metabolism were decreased with the overexpression of LncZBTB39-1:2 in HTR8/SVneo cells.These findings were validated by detecting a lower level of intracellular ATP in HTR8/Vneo cells.Furthermore,the migration of HTR8/SVneo cells was compromised when cells were transfected with a plasmid encompassing LncZBTB39-1:2 overexpression.From these results,we conclude that abnormal levels of LncZBTB39-1:2 expression might lead to aberrant conditions in HTR-8/SVneo trophoblast cells.Aberrant conditions might be associated with dysregulated trophoblast migration and subsequent failure of uterine spiral artery remodelling,a pathogenesis recognised as a contributing factor in the aetiology of preeclampsia. | Yamin Liu Ting-Li Han Xiaofang Luo Yuxiang Bai Xuehai Chen Wei Peng Xi Xiong Philip N.Baker Chao Tong Hongbo Qi | 2018 | Genes & Diseases2018,5,3: | 3 |

| 6 | Validation and modification of the AJCC 8th TNM staging system for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma in a Chinese cohort:A nationwide pancreas data center analysis显示文摘Objective:To validate the 8 th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC)staging system for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)in a Chinese cohort of radically resected patients and to develop a refined staging system for PDAC.Methods:Data were collected from the China Pancreas Data Center(CPDC)for patients with resected PDAC in 2016 and 2017,and cancer-specific survival(CSS)was evaluated using the Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test.Univariate and multivariate analyses based on Cox regression were performed to identify prognostic factors.The recursive partitioning analysis(RPA),Kaplan-Meier method,and log-rank test were performed on the training dataset to generate a proposed modification for the 8 th TNM staging system utilizing the preoperative carbohydrate antigen(CA)19-9 level.Validation was performed for both staging systems in the validation cohort.Results:A total of 1,676 PDAC patients were retrieved,and the median CSS was significantly different between the 8 th TNM groupings,with no significant difference in survival between stage IB and IIA.The analysis of T and N stages demonstrated a better prognostic value in the N category.Multivariate analysis showed that the preoperative serum CA19-9 level was the strongest prognostic indicator among all the independent risk factors.All patients with CA19-9>500 U/mL had similar survival,and we proposed a new staging system by combining IB and IIA and stratifying all patients with high CA19-9 into stage III.The modified staging system had a better performance for predicting CSS than the 8 th AJCC staging scheme.Conclusions:The 8 th AJCC staging system for PDAC is suitable for a Chinese cohort of resected patients,and the N category has a better prognostic value than the T category.Our modified staging system has superior accuracy in predicting survival than the 8 th AJCC TNM staging system. | Hao Hu Chang Qu Bingjun Tang Weikang Liu Yongsu Ma Yiran Chen Xuehai Xie Yan Zhuang Hongqiao Gao Xiaodong Tian Yinmo Yang | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,4: | 3 |
