1Pharmacogenetic Correlates of Antipsychotic-Induced Weight Gain in the Chinese Population显示文摘Antipsychotic-induced weight gain(AIWG) is a common adverse effect of this treatment, particularly with second-generation antipsychotics, and it is a major health problem around the world. We aimed to review the progress of pharmacogenetic studies on AIWG in the Chinese population to compare the results for Chinese with other ethnic populations, identify the limitations and problems of current studies, and provide future research directions in China. Both English and Chinese electronic databases were searched to identify eligible studies. We determined that [ 25 single-nucleotide polymorphisms in19 genes have been investigated in association with AIWG in Chinese patients over the past few decades. HTR2 C rs3813929 is the most frequently studied single-nucleotide polymorphism, and it seems to be the most strongly associated with AIWG in the Chinese population. However, many genes that have been reported to be associated with AIWG in other ethnic populations have not beenincluded in Chinese studies. 2Highly-ordered dye-sensitized TiO_2 nanotube arrays film used for improving photoelectrochemical electrodes显示文摘Thin titanium oxide nanotube arrays (TNAs) films were synthesized by anodization of titanium foil in an aqueous dimethyl sulfoxide solution using a platinum foil counter electrode.TNAs up to 6.8 μm in length,120 nm in inner pore diameter,and 20 nm in wall thickness were obtained by 40 V potentials anodization for 24 h.Their microstructures and surface morphologies were characterized by XRD,TEM,SAED and UV-vis spectroscopy.The photoelectrochemical properties of as-prepared unsensitized and dye-sensitized TNAs electrodes were examined under simulated solar light (AM 1.5,100 mW/cm2) illumination.The results showed that the photocurrent of the dye-sensitized TNAs electrodes reached 6.9 mA/cm2,which was 6 times more than that of the dye-sensitized TiO2 nanoparticles (TNPs) electrodes.It implied that the electron transport process and the charge recombination suppression within TNAs electrodes were much more favorable in comparison with that in the TNPs electrodes.Electrodes applying such kind of titania nanotubes will have a potential to further enhance the efficiencies of TNAs-based dye-sensitized solar cells.XIONG BiTao WANG ChangRong LUO JunYan CHEN BaoXin ZHOU BaoXue ZHU ZhiYan 2013Science China Chemistry2013,56,1:3

4Morphology,Chemistry and U-Pb Geochronology of Zircon Grains in Quartz Monzodiorite from the Sunzhuang Area,Fanshi County,Shanxi Province显示文摘The morphology, REE geochemistry and U-Pb geochronology of zircons from quartz monzodiorite in the Sunzhuang area, Fanshi County, Shanxi Province are presented in this study. The zircon crystals can be classified into four main types as: AB, L, S and P, and 24 subtypes such as AB4, AB5, L5, and S3. The maximum crystallization temperature of zircon was estimated as 850°C, with the minimum of 550°C. The peak temperatures of the zircon crystallization range from 650°C to 700°C. The abundances of Th and U in the zircon grains show large variation with the Th/U values > 0.4. The Th and U values also show a positive correlation in most zircons. The REE abundance of zircon in the quartz monzodiorite ranges from 280.4 ppm to 2143 ppm with an average of 856.4 ppm. The chondrite normalized zircon REE patterns show two types, one is characterized by HREE enrichment and LREE depletion with positive Ce-anomaly and negative Eu-anomaly whereas the other is HREE enriched and LREE depleted with negative Eu-anomaly but without positive Ce-anomaly, and relatively flat patterns. The LA-ICP-MS U-Pb geochronology on the zircons yields a mean age of 133±0.87 Ma. Our data on zircon morphology, composition and U-Pb geochronology reveal that the parent magma of the quartz monzodiorite which was emplaced during late Yanshanian had a mixed crust-mantle source, with crustal components dominating. The magma is inferred to have been water rich and alkaline with initial high oxygen fugacity. 5Understanding enzyme catalysis by means of supramolecular artificial enzymes显示文摘Enzymes are biomacromolecules responsible for the abundant chemical biotransformations that sustain life. Recently, biochemists have discovered that multiple conformations and numerous parallel paths are involved during the processes catalyzed by enzymes. It is plausible that the entire macromolecular scaffold is involved in catalysis via cooperative motions that result in incredible catalytic efficiency. Moreover, some enzymes can very strongly bind the transition state with an association constant of up to 1024 M-1, suggesting that covalent bond formation is a possible process during the conversion of the transition state in enzyme catalysis, in addition to the concatenation of noncovalent interactions. Supramolecular chemistry provides fundamental knowledge about the relationships between the dynamic structures and functions of organized molecules. By tak-ing advantage of supramolecular concepts, numerous supramolecular enzyme mimics with complex and hierarchical structures have been designed and investigated. Through the study of supramolecular enzyme models, a great deal of information to aid our understanding of the mechanism of catalysis by natural enzymes has been acquired. 10Impact of Side Branch Lesion Length on Clinical Outcome after Coronary Stenting Techniques in Patients with Coronary Artery Bifurcation Disease:A Meta-Analysis显示文摘Objective:The optimal percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)technique for bifurcation lesions remains controversial,especially considering the variability of the side branch(SB).A provisional stenting technique is currently recommended in most cases.This meta-analysis aimed to compare outcomes of different bifurcation PCI strategies,clarifying their scope of application.Methods:Randomized controlled trials comparing PCI strategies for coronary bifurcation lesions were systematically retrieved from PubMed,Cochrane,Web of Science,and EBSCO literature databases without limitations on published date or language.Major adverse cardiovascular events(MACEs)were stipulated as main outcomes.Secondary outcomes of interest were all-cause mortality,cardiovascular mortality,target lesion revascularization(TLR),target vessel revascularization,myocardial infarction(MI),and stent thrombosis.Both pooled analysis and sub-group analysis were performed.Results:Twenty-three randomized controlled trials with 6380 participants were included.Eighteen studies compared the provisional strategy with 2-stent approaches.No significant difference in MACEs(relative risk(RR),1.16;95%confidence interval(CI),0.90-1.48;I2=62%)was found between 1-stent and 2-stent techniques.However,when SB lesion length was used as the separation condition,the 2-stent strategy was associated with fewer MACEs(RR,1.87;95%CI,1.46-2.41;I2=70%),TLRs(RR,2.13;95%CI,1.50-3.02;I2=59%),and MIs(RR,2.17;95%CI,1.19-3.95;I2=52%)than the provisional strategy in those where SB lesions measured>10 mm long.Conclusions:In the current work,there was no significant difference between 1-stent and 2-stent techniques in terms of MACEs or secondary outcomes.However,2-stent approaches have clinical advantages over the provisional strategy in bifurcation when the SB lesion length is>10 mm due to fewer cases of TLR and MI.Junyan Kan Shuai Luo Dongchen Wang Dandan Cai Xiaojuan Zhang Jing Kan 2022Cardiology Discovery2022,2,3:1

15Vitamin A deficiency suppresses CEACAM1 to impair colonic epithelial barrier function via downregulating microbial-derived short-chain fatty acids显示文摘Vitamin A (VA) plays an essential role in modulating both the gut microbiota and gut barrier function.Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs),as metabolites of the gut microbiota,protect the physiological intestinal barrier;however,they are compromised when VA is deficient.Thus,there is an urgent need to understand how and which SCFAs modulate colonic epithelial barrier integrity in VA deficiency (VAD).Herein,compared with normal VA rats (VAN),at the beginning of pregnancy,we confirmed that the colonic desmosome junction was impaired in the VAD group,and the amounts of acetate,propionate,and butyrate declined because of the decreased abundance of SCFA-producing bacteria (Romboutsia ,Collinsella ,and Allobaculum ).The differentially expressed genes correlated with the gut barrier and the histone deacetylase complex between the VAD and VAN groups were enriched by RNA sequencing.In the VAD group,the expression levels of colonic CEA cell adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM1) were down-regulated,and the levels of histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) and HDAC3 were up-regulated.Intriguingly,the above changes in the VAD groups were rescued by VA supplementation in the early postnatal period.Further study indicated that in Caco-2 cells,butyrate treatment significantly repressed the enrichment of HDAC3 on the promoter of the CEACAM1 gene to induce its expression.Our findings support that butyrate intervention can alleviate the impairment of colonic barrier function caused by VAD,and timely postnatal VA intervention may reverse the damage caused by VAD on gut barrier integrity during pregnancy.Junyan Yan Lu Xiao Di Feng Baolin Chen Ting Yang Bei Tong Ruifang Luo Yuting Wang Jie Chen 2024Genes & Diseases2024,11,2:0
