1Collagen type Ⅱ suppresses articular chondrocyte hypertrophy and osteoarthritis progression by promoting integrin β1-SMAD1 interaction显示文摘Hypertrophic differentiation is not only the terminal process of endochondral ossification in the growth plate but is also an important pathological change in osteoarthritic cartilage.Collagen type II(COL2A1)was previously considered to be only a structural component of the cartilage matrix,but recently,it has been revealed to be an extracellular signaling molecule that can significantly suppress chondrocyte hypertrophy.However,the mechanisms by which COL2A1 regulates hypertrophic differentiation remain unclear.In our study,a Col2a1 p.Gly1170Ser mutant mouse model was constructed,and Col2a1 loss was demonstrated in homozygotes.Loss of Col2a1 was found to accelerate chondrocyte hypertrophy through the bone morphogenetic protein(BMP)-SMAD1 pathway.Upon interacting with COL2A1,integrinβ1(ITGB1),the major receptor for COL2A1,competed with BMP receptors for binding to SMAD1 and then inhibited SMAD1 activation and nuclear import.COL2A1 could also activate ITGB1-induced ERK1/2 phosphorylation and,through ERK1/2-SMAD1 interaction,it further repressed SMAD1 activation,thus inhibiting BMP-SMAD1-mediated chondrocyte hypertrophy.Moreover,COL2A1 expression was downregulated,while chondrocyte hypertrophic markers and BMP-SMAD1 signaling activity were upregulated in degenerative human articular cartilage.Our study reveals novel mechanisms for the inhibition of chondrocyte hypertrophy by COL2A1 and suggests that the degradation and decrease in COL2A1 might initiate and promote osteoarthritis progression.Chengjie Lian Xudong Wang Xianjian Qiu Zizhao Wu Bo Gao Lei Liu Guoyan Liang Hang Zhou Xiaoming Yang Yan Peng Anjing Liang Caixia Xu Dongsheng Huang Peiqiang Su 2019Bone Research2019,7,1:17
2Re-estimating the changes and ranges of forest biomass carbon in China during the past 40 years显示文摘Background: In recent decades the future of global forests has been a matter of increasing concern, particularly in relation to the threat of forest ecosystem responses under potential climate change. To the future predictions of these responses, the current forest biomass carbon storage(FCS) should first be clarified as much as possible,especially at national scales. However, few studies have introduced how to verify an FCS estimate by delimiting the reasonable ranges. This paper addresses an estimation of national FCS and its verification using two-step process to narrow the uncertainty. Our study focuses on a methodology for reducing the uncertainty resulted by converting from growing stock volume to above-and below-ground biomass(AB biomass), so as to eliminate the significant bias in national scale estimations.Methods: We recommend splitting the estimation into two parts, one part for stem and the other part for AB biomass to preclude possible significant bias. Our method estimates the stem biomass from volume and wood density(WD), and converts the AB biomass from stem biomass by using allometric relationships.Results: Based on the presented two-step process, the estimation of China’s FCS is performed as an example to explicate how to infer the ranges of national FCS. The experimental results demonstrate a national FCS estimation within the reasonable ranges(relative errors: + 4.46% and-4.44%), e.g., 5.6–6.1 PgC for China’s forest ecosystem at the beginning of the 2010 s. These ranges are less than 0.52 PgC for confirming each FCS estimate of different periods during the last 40 years. In addition, our results suggest the upper-limits by specifying a highly impractical value of WD(0.7 t·m-3) on the national scale. As a control reference, this value decides what estimate is impossible to achieve for the FCS estimates.Conclusions: Presented methodological analysis highlights the possibility to determine a range that the true value could be located in. The two-step process will help to verify national FCS and also to reduce uncertainty in related studies. 3Twenty-seven continental ancestry-informative SNP analysis of bone remains to resolve a forensic case显示文摘We employed our previously developed 27-plex ancestry-informative single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)panel to infer the ancestral components of bone remains of a possible foreign pilot found in south-western China.For ancestry assignment of this unknown individual,we first obtained the 27-SNP genotype of the individual.Then,based on a reference database of 3081 individuals from 33 populations,we calculated the match probability and likelihood ratio using the self-developed software program Forensic Intelligence.Inferred ancestral components of this individual were calculated by structure at K=3.A complete profile was obtained for the individual using our multiplexed SNP assay.The European population was within one order of magnitude of the highest likelihood.The major ancestral component of this individual was 97.6%European.Qifan Sun Li Jiang Guangfeng Zhang Jing Liu Lei Zhao Wenting Zhao Caixia Li 2019Forensic Sciences Research2019,4,4:1

5Identification of two migratory colon ILC2 populations differentially expressing IL-17A and IL-5/IL-13显示文摘Group 2 innate lymphoid cells(ILC2s)play important tissue resident roles in anti-parasite immunity,allergic immune response,tissue homeostasis,and tumor immunity.ILC2s are considered tissue resident cells with little proliferation at steady state.Recent studies have shown that a subset of small intestinal ILC2s could leave their residing tissues,circulate and migrate to different organs,including lung,liver,mesenteric LN and spleen,upon activation.However,it remains unknown whether other ILC populations with migratory behavior exist.In this study,we find two major colon ILC2 populations with potential to migrate to the lung in response to IL-25 stimulation.One subset expresses IL-17A and resembles inflammatory ILC2s(iILC2s)but lacks CD27 expression,whereas the other expresses CD27 but not IL-17A.In addition,the IL-17A^(+)ILC2s express lower levels of CD127,CD25,and ST2 than CD27^(+)ILC2s,which express higher levels of IL-5 and IL-13.Surprisingly,we found that both colon ILC2 populations still maintained their colonic features of preferential expression of IL-17A and CD27,IL-5/IL-13,respectively.Together,our study identifies two migratory colon ILC2 subsets with unique surface markers and cytokine profiles which are critical in regulating lung and colon immunity and homeostasis.Hongzhi Liu Liang Li Yanyun Hao Jialu Li Zhaoyuan Liu Jingjing Qi Jingjing Zhang Ningbo Wu Dandan Wu Caixia Gao Lei Chen Lei Shen Jinke Cheng Bing Su 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,1:1
6Outsourcing or Not? The OEMrs Better Collecting Mode under Cap-and-Trade Regulation显示文摘Many original equipment manufacturers(OEMs)carry out collecting operations by themselves or a third party.Most of the existing research papers in the literature consider the collecting mode selection problem from an economic perspective.However,in practice,the firm's collecting decisions can be affected by the carbon policies at present.This paper aims to bridge the gap in research on remanufacturing supply chain by taking the effects of cap-and-trade regulation into consideration.Stackelberg models are established to study the quantity and price decisions under different collecting modes.We find that the OEM reaps more profits in the OEM collecting mode than the third-party collecting mode when collection cost is large.Otherwise,the third party has lower collection cost,and the third-party collecting mode may make the OEM more profitable.From an environmental perspective,with high collection cost,the third party collecting mode can reduce the carbon emissions unless the cost of new products and the emissions intensity are small.In addition,when the collection cost is low but the quantity of remanufacturing products is restricted by that of new products,the third party collecting mode may increase the carbon emissions.In addition,the implementation of cap-and-trade regulation can always reduce carbon emissions,and it may increase the OEM's profits if consumers preference for remanufactured products is small.Lei Yang Caixia Hao Yijuan Hu 2021Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering2021,30,2:1

9Ammonia Volatilization from Soils Fertilized with Different Nitrogen Type and Application Method in Germination and Early Seedling Stages from the Radish Field显示文摘Ammonia volatilization(AV) from basal fertilizer with different nitrogen(N) types and application methods was investigated by the ventilation method in germination and early seedling stages during radish growth seasons in 2014. Four N fertilizer types, urea(U), ammonium bicarbonate(AB), ammonia sulfate(AS), and controlled urea formaldehyde(CUF) were applied through 5 cm depth placement(I) and 10 cm depth placement(II). The results showed that the N fertilizer type was the main factor that caused AV loss in germination and early seedling stages from the radish field. The highest and the lowest cumulative AV losses in germination and early seedling stages from the radish fields were 33.23 and 11.21 N kg/hm^2 for the treatments of AB+I and CUF+II, respectively, accounting for 60.40 and 26.40% of the N application for each treatment. The 10 cm deep placement of N reduced AV rates and lagged the AV process, and CUF significantly reduced ammonia volatilization. 10High-adhesion anionic copolymer as solid-state electrolyte for dendrite-free Zn-ion battery显示文摘To conquer severe dendrites formation and side reactions of zinc metal anodes,which are serious obstacles for the practical applications of aqueous zinc ion battery(ZIB),herein,we develop a sodium allysulfonate(SAS)and acrylamide(AM)copolymer by radical polymerization process(crosslinking of C=C)as solid-state electrolyte.The interface kinetics is improved remarkably due to the high adhesion and excellent ion transferability of AM-SAS(AS)copolymers.Especially the sulfonic acid group in the hydrogel electrolyte can enhance the internal ionic conductivity effectively benefiting from its high affinity to Zn^(2+).Also,polymer chains realize re-regulation to Zn^(2+)flow in atomic-scale,thus leading to controllable deposition of Zn onto the dendrite-free Zn anodes.Consequently,the AS-1.5 electrolyte achieves ultra-stable Zn deposition/stripping behaviors with the lifespan over 1,000 h via the suppression of side-reactions and paralleled Zn deposition.High performances of Zn/Mn-doped V_(2)O_(5)(MnVO)(over 500 cycles)and Zn/diquinoxalino[2,3-a:2',3'-c]phenazine(HATN)(over 2,500 cycles)full cells demonstrate that the AS hydrogel electrolyte is a common approach for ZIBs under various conditions.This molecular regulation engineering opens a novel route for hydrogel electrolyte fabrication,where sulfonic groups perform as media of Zn^(2+)transfer.Therefore,high bulk ionic conductivity as well as excellent interface ion diffusion ability is obtained.Jiaxu Li Junfeng Ren Caixia Li Pengxian Li Tingting Wu Shiwei Liu Lei Wang 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:0
11Quantitative assessment of physiological cerebrospinal fluid flow in the cervical spinal canal with 3.0T phase-contrast cine MRI显示文摘A total of 50 healthy volunteers aged between 18 and 54 years underwent phase-contrast cine MRI to assess cerebrospinal fluid flow characteristics in different regions of the vertebral canal. The results revealed that the cerebrospinal fluid peak flow velocity and peak flow rate in the systolic phase were significantly greater than those in the diastolic phase at the same level in the subarachnoid space of the cervical spinal canal. The ventral peak flow velocity and peak flow rate were significantly greater than the post-lateral peak flow velocity and flow rate, while there were no differences between left and right post-lateral subarachnoid peak velocity and flow rate. 12Enhancing O_(2)electroreduction to H_(2)O on Ag/MnO_(2)-CHNTs by boosting a four-electron catalytic pathway显示文摘A fundamental question in the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is how to rationally control the electrocatalytic selectivity for opening a four-electron reaction pathway.However,it still lacks direct experimental evidence to understand the reaction mechanism.This work unravels that Ag nanoparticles and carbonizing halloysite nanotubes(CHNTs)can trigger the construction of oxygen defects in the MnO_(2),which contribute to the generation of active sites.The Ag/MnO_(2)-CHNTs delivers a superior activity toward ORR with high onset potential,half-wave potential,diffusion-limited current density,long-term durability and methanol tolerance.More importantly,combined with density functional theory calculations,triggering manganese dioxide defects upon the introduction of Ag nanoparticles and CHNTs can alter the electrocatalytic pathway from a two-electron to a direct four-electron direction for ORR,which is the nature of enhanced ORR activity.Based on the analysis of the results,this finding points out a very effective approach for exploring catalysts with the improved performance and durability for ORR reaction.Aiai Zhang Yang Liu Caixia Li Lei Xue Ze Liu Jinfang Wu Shanghong Zeng 2023Green Energy & Environment2023,8,5:0

14Effects of galectin-3 inhibition on endometrial cell cycle and adhesion显示文摘Galectin-3(gal-3)and its ligands have been implicated in cell transformation and cancer metastasis.Gal-3 protein has been found in uterine epithelial cells adjacent to implanting blastocysts in different cell types.In order to investigate the role of gal-3 in the establishment of human endometrial receptivity,the expression of gal-3 in human endometrial cell line RL95-2 was silenced by RNA inter-ference technology using gal-3 specific small RNA.The expression of gal-3 was detected by the reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction and Western blot analysis.After the suppression of gal-3,cell cycle changes and the expres-sion of integrin b1 were detected by flow cytometry.The adhesive ability of RL95-2 cells was analyzed by the adhesion test.Gal-3 siRNA transfection efficiency reached 70%–90%.The expression of gal-3 mRNA and protein in RL95-2 cells was strongly inhibited by 70%–90%after RNA interference.Inhibition of gal-3 expression decreased S-phase but increased G1 phase cells.Integrin b1 expression was down-regulated,and the adhesive ability of RL95-2 cells to fibronectin(FN)was significantly reduced.Gal-3 may be involved in the establishment of endometrial receptivity by regulating the proliferation and adhesion of endometrial cells.The influence on adhesion may be related with the integrin modulation.LEI Caixia ZHANG Wei SUN Xiaowei DU Guoping WANG Li LIU Yinkun 2007Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,4:0
15The Main Evaluation Indicators for the Quality of Fruit Radish显示文摘The aim of this study was to establish a scientific evaluation system for fruit radish quality. 8 quality indicators were measured for23 varieties,such as Meinong,Qiaotouqing and Chunbulao. The indicators included root weight,root shape index,water content,crispness,soluble solids,crude fiber,isothiocyanate and vitamin C. These data were analyzed by variation correlation analysis,principal component analysis and system cluster analysis. 23 varieties of fruit radish were analyzed by variation correlation; 8 indicators were compressed into 6 integrated variables using principal component analysis. Finally,the main evaluation indicators of fruit radish were determined by using cluster analysis and correlation analysis. The results indicated that the range of variation coefficient was from 1. 64%-89. 99%. Water content,crispness,soluble solids,crude fiber,isothiocyanate were the important components of fruit radish quality,playing a major role in the quality. These 8indicators were closely related and relatively independent. Water content was significantly and positively correlated with crispness; soluble solids and crude fiber were significantly and negatively related to vitamin C; crispness was significantly and positively correlated with crude fiber and vitamin C. 16An Advanced Design Concept of Mansion-like Freestanding Silicon Anodes with Improved Lithium Storage Performances显示文摘To conquer inherently low conductivity,volume swelling,and labile solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)films of Si anode in lithium ion battery(LIBs),it is widely accepted that appropriate structure design of Si-C hybrids performs effectively,especially for nanosize Si particles.Herein,inspired by the sturdy construction of high-rise buildings,a mansion-like 3D structured Si@SiO_(2)/PBC/RGO(SSPBG)with separated rooms is developed based on 0D core-shell Si@SiO_(2),1D pyrolytic bacterial cellulose(PBC)and 2D reduced graphene oxide(RGO).Therefore,these hierarchical protectors operate synergistically to inhibit the inevitable volume changes during electrochemical process.Specifically,tightly coated SiO_(2)shell as the first protective layer could buffer the volume expansion and reduce detrimental pulverization of Si NPs.Furthermore,flexible spring-like PBC and ultra-fine RGO sheets perform as securer barriers and skeleton which will counteract the microstructure strain and accelerate electron transfer at the same time.Remarkably,the self-supporting electrode realizes a distinguished performance of 901 mAh g^(-1)at 2 A g^(-1)for 500 cycles.When matched with LiFePO4 cathodes,high stability of more than 100 cycles has been realized for the full batteries.Deqing Zhang Junfeng Ren Caixia Li Bin Luo Lei Wang Yanyan Li 2022Chinese Journal of Structural Chemistry2022,41,5:0
17Magnetic properties and critical behavior of quasi-2D layered Cr_(4)Te_(5)thin film显示文摘Quasi-2D layered Cr4Te5 thin film has attracted great attention because it possesses the high Curie temperature close to room temperature and relatively large saturation magnetization.However,the magnetic interactions and the nature of magnetic phase transition in the Cr4Te5 film have not been explored thoroughly.In this paper,we focused on the critical behavior of its magnetic phase transition through the epitaxial Cr4Te5 film fabricated by pulsed laser deposition(PLD).The final critical exponentsβ=0.359(2)andγ=1.54(2)were obtained by linear extrapolation together with ArrottNoakes equation of state,and their accuracy was confirmed by using the Widom scaling relation and scaling hypothesis.We find that some magnetic disorders exist in the Cr4Te5 film system,which is related to Cr4Te5 critical behavior why its critical behavior is quite far from any conventional universality class.Furthermore,we also determined that the Cr4Te5 film exhibits a quasi-2D long-range magnetic interaction.Finally,the itinerant ferromagnets of Cr4Te5 films were confirmed by the Takahashi’s self-consistent renormalization theory of spin fluctuations.Our work provides a new idea for understanding the mechanism of magnetic interactions in similar 2D layered films.Hao Liu Jiyu Fan Huan Zheng Jing Wang Chunlan Ma Haiyan Wang Lei Zhang Caixia Wang Yan Zhu Hao Yang 2023Frontiers of physics2023,18,1:0
