3Aerosol influence domain of Beijing and peripheral city agglomeration and its climatic effect显示文摘The aerosol distribution in Beijing and peripheral cities agglomeration (BPCA) and its re- gional climatic effect are investigated on the basis of the statistical analyses of satellite Total Ozone Map- ping Spectrometer (TOMS) retrieval aerosol optical depth (AOD) and the meteorological data of sunshine duration, fog days, and low cloud cover, observed at Beijing and its peripheral meteorological stations. The analysis on multi-samples variational correction of the satellite remote sensing Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) AOD under the clear sky and stable weather condition in conjunction with surface observations reveal that there was a “triangle-like” distribution pattern of the high values of aerosols in the southern “valley” of the “U-shape” megarelief of Beijing and its peripheral areas. The distribution pattern suggests that the large-scale transfer and diffusion of city agglomeration pollutants might form a relatively persistent characteristic spatial distribution of city agglomeration pollutants much larger than city-scale. Under the background of the particular megarelief effect of Beijing and periph- eral areas, the high value area of TOMS AOD, as well as regional correlation distribution between clear sky sunshine duration and TOMS AOD are also similar to the composite image of MODIS AOD variational fields, that is to say, the effect of atmospheric aerosols was very distinctive in Beijing and peripheral areas. The high value area of the negative correlation between clear sky sunshine duration and TOMS AOD ap-proximately accorded with the significant negative value area of the sunshine duration deviations of the 1980s to the 1990s, and the daily variations of the AOD also showed an anti-phase relation with those of clear sky sunshine duration. The above high cor- relation area of the urban aerosol impact of Beijing- Tianjin region leant towards south peripheral area, with its “center of gravity” in the south of Beijing- Tianjin agglomeration, and the main body of the high correlation area prolongating southwards, forming an aerosol influence domain of “eccentric ellipse” shape, that is to say, there was an aerosol influence domain of some “radius” in Beijing City and its peripheral areas, within and outside which sunshine duration, low cloud cover, and fog days showed a remarkable difference in interannual variation trend. At the downstream of the city agglomeration there was a significant interdecadal increment area of fog or low cloud cover, which might be associated with the local climatic feature of the regional flow convergent field in the diffusion process of city agglomeration pollut- ants in the aerosol influence domain, and such a local dynamical convergence feature might lead to the regional exacerbation of aerosol impact downstream of the city agglomeration. 4A High-Resolution Earth’s Gravity Field Model SGG-UGM-2 from GOCE,GRACE,Satellite Altimetry,and EGM2008显示文摘This paper focuses on estimating a new high-resolution Earth’s gravity field model named SGG-UGM-2 from satellite gravimetry,satellite altimetry,and Earth Gravitational Model 2008(EGM2008)-derived gravity data based on the theory of the ellipsoidal harmonic analysis and coefficient transformation(EHA-CT).We first derive the related formulas of the EHA-CT method,which is used for computing the spherical harmonic coefficients from grid area-mean and point gravity anomalies on the ellipsoid.The derived formulas are successfully evaluated based on numerical experiments.Then,based on the derived least-squares formulas of the EHA-CT method,we develop the new model SGG-UGM-2 up to degree 2190 and order 2159 by combining the observations of the Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation Explorer(GOCE),the normal equation of the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment(GRACE),marine gravity data derived from satellite altimetry data,and EGM2008-derived continental gravity data.The coefficients of degrees 251–2159 are estimated by solving the block-diagonal form normal equations of surface gravity anomalies(including the marine gravity data).The coefficients of degrees 2–250 are determined by combining the normal equations of satellite observations and surface gravity anomalies.The variance component estimation technique is used to estimate the relative weights of different observations.Finally,global positioning system(GPS)/leveling data in the mainland of China and the United States are used to validate SGG-UGM-2 together with other models,such as European improved gravity model of the earth by new techniques(EIGEN)-6C4,GECO,EGM2008,and SGG-UGM-1(the predecessor of SGG-UGM-2).Compared to other models,the model SGG-UGM-2 shows a promising performance in the GPS/leveling validation.All GOCE-related models have similar performances both in the mainland of China and the United States,and better performances than that of EGM2008 in the mainland of China.Due to the contribution of GRACE data and the new marine gravity anomalies,SGG-UGM-2 is slightly better than SGG-UGM-1 both in the mainland of China and the United States.Wei Liang Jiancheng Li Xinyu Xu Shengjun Zhang Yongqi Zhao 2020Engineering2020,6,8:8

6Optimization of tensile strength for new type acetone-urea-formaldehyde furan resin using uniform design显示文摘In this study,the 24 h tensile strength of new type acetone-urea-formaldehyde furan resin (nitrogen content 3%) was investigated by uniform design optimization.Four independent variables such as acetone:formaldehyde molar ratio (mol/mol),solution pH value,reaction temperature (℃) and reaction time (min) were considered in the experiments.U13(134) uniform design was employed and the equation of 24 h tensile strength model was obtained after 13 experimentations.The 24 h tensile strength was optimized by applying single factor experiments and stepwise non-linear regression analysis.Minitab (Minitab 15 trial version) and MATLAB (R2010a trial version) were used for data analysis.The t-value and p-value indicate that the major impact factors include the interaction effect of solution pH value and reaction temperature (X2X3),the linear terms of acetone:formaldehyde molar ratio (X1),reaction time (X4) followed by the square effects of acetone/formaldehyde molar ratio (X1X1).The optimized results were achieved with the acetone:formaldehyde molar ratio (mol/mol) at 3:1,solution pH value at 6.0,reaction temperature at 70℃,and reaction time at 140 min,respectively.This method can not only significantly reduce the number and cost of the tests,but also provide a good experimental design strategy for the development of furan resin.The investigation shows that the predicted results of 24 h tensile strength are consistent well with the experimental ones.Lin Shengjun Zhao Wei Li Yuancai Tong Siyi Wang Wenqing 2011China Foundry2011,8,1:5
7Application of Lactic Acid Bacteria(LAB) in Freshness Keeping of Tilapia Fillets as Sashimi显示文摘Aquatic products are extremely perishable food commodities. Developing methods to keep the freshness of fish represents a major task of the fishery processing industry. Application of Lactic Acid Bacteria(LAB) as food preservative is a novel approach. In the present study, the possibility of using lactic acid bacteria in freshness keeping of tilapia fillets as sashimi was examined. Fish fillets were dipped in Lactobacillus plantarum 1.19(obtained from China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center) suspension as LAB-treated group. Changes in K-value, APC, sensory properties and microbial flora were analyzed. Results showed that LAB treatment slowed the increase of K-value and APC in the earlier storage, and caused a smooth decrease in sensory score. Gram-negative bacteria dominated during refrigerated storage, with Pseudomonas and Aeromonas being relatively abundant. Lactobacillus plantarum 1.19 had no obvious inhibitory effect against these Gram-negatives. However, Lactobacillus plantarum 1.19 changed the composition of Gram-positive bacteria. No Micrococcus were detected and the proportion of Staphylococcus decreased in the spoiled LAB-treated samples. The period that tilapia fillets could be used as sashimi material extended from 24 h to 48 h after LAB treatment. 8Pharmacological Activation of RXR-a Promotes Hematoma Absorption via a PPAR-y-dependent Pathway After Intracerebral Hemorrhage显示文摘Endogenously eliminating the hematoma is a favorable strategy in addressing intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH).This study sought to determine the role of retinoid X receptor-ot(RXR-a)in the context of hematoma absorption after ICH.Our results showed that pharmacologically activating RXR-a with bexarotene significantly accelerated hematoma clearance and alleviated neurological dysfunction after ICH.RXR-ot was expressed in microglia/macro-phages,neurons,and astrocytes.Mechanistically,bexarotene promoted the nuclear translocation of RXR-a and PPAR-y,as well as reducing neuroinflammation by modulating microglia/macrophage reprograming from the Ml into the M2 phenotype.Furthermore,all the beneficial effects of RXR-a in ICH were reversed by the PPAR-y inhibitor GW9662.In conclusion,the pharmacological activation of RXR-a confers robust neuroprotection against ICH by accelerating hematoma clearance and repolarizing microglia/macrophages towards the M2 phenotype through PPAR-y-related mechanisms.Our data support the notion that RXR-ot might be a promising therapeutic target for ICH.Chaoran Xu Huaijun Chen Shengjun Zhou Chenjun Sun Xiaolong Xia Yucong Peng Jianfeng Zhuang Xiongjie Fu Hanhai Zeng Hang Zhou Yang Cao Qian Yu Yin Li Libin Hu Guoyang Zhou Feng Yan Gao Chen Jianru Li 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,10:4
9The Tibetan Plateau Surface–Atmosphere Coupling System and Its Weather and Climate Effects: The Third Tibetan Plateau Atmospheric Science Experiment显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau(TP) is a key area affecting forecasts of weather and climate in China and occurrences of extreme weather and climate events over the world. The China Meteorological Administration, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly initiated the Third Tibetan Plateau Atmospheric Science Experiment(TIPEX-Ⅲ) in 2013, with an 8–10-yr implementation plan. Since its preliminary field measurements conducted in 2013, routine automatic sounding systems have been deployed at Shiquanhe, Gaize, and Shenzha stations in western TP, where no routine sounding observations were available previously. The observational networks for soil temperature and soil moisture in the central and western TP have also been established. Meanwhile, the plateau-scale and regional-scale boundary layer observations, cloud–precipitation microphysical observations with multiple radars and aircraft campaigns, and tropospheric–stratospheric air composition observations at multiple sites, were performed. The results so far show that the turbulent heat exchange coefficient and sensible heat flux are remarkably lower than the earlier estimations at grassland, meadow, and bare soil surfaces of the central and western TP. Climatologically, cumulus clouds over the main body of the TP might develop locally instead of originating from the cumulus clouds that propagate northward from South Asia. The TIPEX-Ⅲ observations up to now also reveal diurnal variations, macro-and microphysical characteristics, and water-phase transition mechanisms, of cumulus clouds at Naqu station. Moreover, TIPEX-Ⅲ related studies have proposed a maintenance mechanism responsible for the Asian 'atmospheric water tower' and demonstrated the effects of the TP heating anomalies on African, Asian, and North American climates. Additionally, numerical modeling studies show that the Γ distribution of raindrop size is more suitable for depicting the TP raindrop characteristics compared to the M–P distribution, the overestimation of sensible heat flux can be reduced via modifying the heat transfer parameterization over the TP, and considering climatic signals in some key areas of the TP can improve the skill for rainfall forecast in the central and eastern parts of China. 13Intrauterine growth restriction alters nutrient metabolism in the intestine of porcine offspring显示文摘Background:Intrauterine growth restriction(IUGR)has negative impacts on the postnatal survival,growth and development of humans and animals,with not only on newborns but also adulthood.However,the characteristics for nutrient digestion and absorption in IUGR offspring are still largely unknown.Therefore,the normal birth weight(NBW)and IUGR growing pigs were used in this study to investigate their differences in nutrient utilization,with an expectition for further nutritional optimization of the IUGR offspring during their later life.Methods:Twelve IUGR and 12 NBW growing pigs were fitted with catheters in their portal vein to measure blood flow rate as well as nutrients and metabolites in plasma.The digestibilities of nutrients in different intestinal segments,and bacterial fermentation in the large intestine were examined to reveal the characteristics of nutrients utilization in IUGR versus NBW pigs.Results:The rate of portal venous blood flow did not differ beween IUGR and NBW pigs.Plasma concentrations of total cholesterol,triglycerides and glucose were much lower but those of urea were higher in the portal vein of IUGR pigs,compared with the NBW pigs.The ileal digestibility of dry matter,gross energy and starch were lower in IUGR pigs than in NBW pigs.IUGR increased hindgut microbial diversity and bacterial fermentation activity in the caecum.In vitro cross-fermentation of ileal digesta by caecal microbes of NBW and IUGR pigs showed that gas production was much higher for IUGR ileal digesta regardless of the source of caecal inocula.Conclusion:IUGR impairs the nutrient digestion and absorption in small intestine,reduces caecal microbial diversity and promotes bacterial fermentation in the large intestine during the growing phase.These findings aid in our understanding of nutrient metabolism in IUGR pigs and provide the basis for future nutritional interventions.Tiantian Li Shimeng Huang Long Lei Shiyu Tao Yi Xiong Guoyao Wu Jie Hu Xiongkun Yuan Shengjun Zhao Bin Zuo Hongjian Yang Yingping Xiao Gang Lin Junjun Wang 2021Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,2:2
14Ecological selection of bacterial taxa with larger genome sizes in response to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons stress显示文摘Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)are ubiquitous priority pollutants that cause great damage to the natural environment and health.Average genome size in a community is critical for shedding light on microbiome's functional response to pollution stress within an environment.Here,microcosms under different concentrations were performed to evaluate the selection of PAHs stress on the average genome size in a community.We found the distinct communities of significantly larger genome size with the increase of PAHs concentration gradients in soils,and consistent trends were discovered in soils at different latitudes.The abundance of Proteobacteria and Deinococcus-Thermus with relatively larger genomes increased along with PAHs stress and well adapted to polluted environments.In contrast,the abundance of Patescibacteria with a highly streamlined and smaller genome decreased,implying complex interactions between environmental selection and functional fitness resulted in bacteria with larger genomes becoming more abundant.Moreover,we confirmed the increased capacity for horizontal transfer of degrading genes between communities by showing an increased connection number per node positively related to the nid A gene along the concentration gradients in the co-occurrence network.Our findings suggest PAHs tend to select bacterial taxa with larger genome sizes,with significant consequences for community stability and potential biodegradation strategies.Yuzhu Dong Shanghua Wu Haonan Fan Xianglong Li Yijing Li Shengjun Xu Zhihui Bai Xuliang Zhuang 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,2:2
15Structure and electrochemical properties of La, F dual-doped LiLa_(0.01)Mn_(1.99)O_(3.99)F_(0.01) cathode materials显示文摘The cathode materials LiMn2O4 and rare earth elements La-doped or La and F dual-doped spinel lithium manganese oxides were synthesized by the citric acid-assisted sol-gel method. The synthesized samples were investigated by differential thermal analysis (DTA) and thermogravimetry (TG) measurements, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electronic microscope (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and charge-discharge test. XRD data shows that all the samples exhibit the same pure spinel phase, and the LiLa0.01Mn1.99O3.99F0.01 and LiLa0.01Mn1.99O4 samples have smaller lattice parameters and unit cell volume than LiMn2O4. SEM indicates that LiLa0.01Mn1.99O3.99F0.01 has a slightly smaller particle size and a more regular morphology structure with narrow size distribution. The charge-discharge test reveals that the initial capacities of LiMn2O4, LiLa0.01Mn1.99O4, and LiLa0.01Mn1.99O3.99F0.01 are 129.9, 122.8, and 126.4 mAh·g-1, and the capacity losses of the initial values after 50 cycles are 14.5%, 7.6%, and 8.0%, respectively. 16Development of HEP-XXMF Series Hall Thrusters in BICE显示文摘Hall thruster is a type of electric propulsion thruster which is often regarded as a moderate specific impulse space propulsion technology and is used primarily for station keeping and orbit maintenance tasks. Magnetic field is the most important aspect in Hall thruster's design. Each time the performance improvement of Hall thrusters is accompanied with the regeneration of magnetic field design. Now, all the major space nations treat the magnetic field design as the key technology for Hall thrusters, and many Hall thrusters have emerged in recent years, for example, BPT-4000 and NASA-173 M. In China, based on magnetic focus technology, the Beijing Institute of Control Engineering(BICE) has been developing Hall thrusters ranged from hundreds of watts to 5 kilowatts, including the 1500 W HEP-100 MF and the 5 k W HEP-140 MF Hall thrusters. This paper briefly reviews the development of the HEP-XXMF series Hall thruster.
