| 1 | Yushu earthquake synergic analysis using multimodal SAR datasets显示文摘The large earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale that occurred in Yushu County,Qinghai Province,China,on April 14,2010,caused a huge loss of life and major damage to people's properties.Using three modal synthetic-aperture radar(SAR) datasets,wide-swath SAR,interferometric SAR and polarimetric SAR,the following studies were conducted:(1) From Radarsat-2 wide swath SAR data,the regional geological structures and lithologic distribution characteristics of the Yushu earthquake were analyzed.(2) Using advanced land observing satellite/phased array L-band interferometric SAR data,the coseismic deformation field of the Yushu earthquake was obtained,and the size and spatial distribution of deformation were studied combining with the result of regional geological background analysis.(3) From Radarsat-2 polarimetric SAR data,the H-α-ρ method was used to extract the spatial distribution of building collapse caused by the earthquake in the Yushu urban area,and the reasons for the severe earthquake damage to buildings are also discussed and assessed.The study results demonstrate the effectiveness and important potential of using multimodal SAR data for synergic analysis and assessment of earthquake disasters. | GUO HuaDong WANG XinYuan LI XinWu LIU Guang ZHANG Lu YAN ShiYong | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,31: | 9 |

| 3 | Fabrication of Crack-Free Flattened Bamboo and Its Macro-/MicroMorphological and Mechanical Properties显示文摘This work aimed to help the bamboo industry develop methodology for producing imperfection-free bamboo boards that can serve either decorative or structural benefit to consumers seeking to engage with the bioeconomy.Specifically,softened and slotted bamboo tubes were handled by a roller device with nails to render crack-free flattened bamboo board.Softening temperature and time were optimized herein according to findings regarding chemical composition and board mechanical properties.The optimal softening parameters for saturated steam heat treatment is proved to be 160°C for 8 min.The flattened bamboo board possesses an increased bending strength of 101.5 MPa and a decreased bending modulus of 7.7 GPa,being compared with only-softened bamboo.The corresponding changing mechanism is determined in-depth by the micro-morphological and mechanical results based on in-situ SEM and AFM technologies.Under the action of nails and rolling processes,the bamboo texture becomes compact with crushed and fragmented conduit walls.The resulting cell cavity then becomes stretched and compressed,taking on a morphology which allows for the mechanical penalties associated with flattening to be avoided.According to the micro-mechanical results obtained by AFM,compared with unflatten bamboo,the Young’s modulus of the cell membrane in transverse direction(YT)decreases to 1.00 GPa while the corresponding Young’s modulus in radial direction(YR)increases to 7.29 GPa. | Zhichao Lou Tiancheng Yuan Qiuyi Wang Xinwu Wu Shouheng Hu Xiaomeng Hao Xianmiao Liu Yanjun Li | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,5: | 4 |
| 4 | Development of a PVDF sensor for potted seedling clamping force of vegetable transplanting显示文摘Aiming at the problems of loose bowl,nutritive bowl damage and planting leakage caused by lack of perception and detection of seedling clamping force in vegetable transplanting,a semi-micro-column structure sensor for measuring potted seedling clamping force was developed based on polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)piezoelectric film.The diameter of the semi-micro-column is 4 mm.The size of the force probe is 14 mm×30 mm,the encapsulation position of the force probe is 25 mm away from the tip of the seedling claw.The hardware circuit for sensor signal acquisition including pre-amplification module,power frequency notch module,low-pass filter module,processor module and power module was designed.The circuit completes charge-voltage conversion,clamping force signal amplification,power frequency signal elimination,vibration and noise elimination,and ensures the accurate acquisition of clamping force signal.In order to verify the sensor performance,sensor calibration tests and indoor experiments were carried out respectively.The calibration tests showed that the sensitivity of the clamping force sensor was 0.5264 V/N,the linearity was 4.74%,the accuracy was 6.51%,the hysteresis was 3.63%,and the range was 8 N under the impact of different waveforms and frequencies,which fully meet the accuracy requirements of the clamping force detection during transplanting.Indoor experiments showed that the clamping force sensor had good stability and adaptability under different seedling frequencies.The sensor can provide useful reference for the perception and detection of seedling clamping force and the feedback regulation of seedling clamping force. | Jiangtao Ji Jingwei Sun Xin Jin Mingyong Li Xinwu Du | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,5: | 3 |
| 5 | Ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablationfor small liver cancers adjacent to large vessels:long-term outcomes and strategies显示文摘Objective The aim of the study was to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of percutaneous microwave ablation(MWA) for small hepatic cancers adjacent to large vessels and to investigate the treatment strategies.Methods From March 2009 to July 2015,a total of 86 patients with 94 tumors underwent ultrasound(US)-guided percutaneous MWA,with pathologically proven or clinically diagnosed liver cancers measuring ≤ 3 cm in diameter and located ≤ 10 mm from a major vessel(n = 94).Regular follow-up after MWA was performed to assess treatment efficacy and perioperative complications.Results The complete ablation rate at 1 month after MWA was 93.3%(84/90).The 6-,9-,12-,24-,36-,48-,60-,72-,and 84-month local recurrence rates were 2.4%,2.4%,3.7%,6.6%,8.4%,8.4%,8.4%,8.4%,and 8.4%,respectively.There were no major complications.The perioperative special complication rate was 5.32%(5/94),including 3 cases of moderate liver function damage and 2 cases of limited sub-capsular hematoma.Conclusion Percutaneous MWA for small hepatic cancers adjacent to large vessels is feasible,effective,and safe with an acceptable rate of complications.The key point is to strictly follow operative indications and adopt proper treatment strategies. | Ruobing Liu Kaiyan Li Hongchang Luo Wei Zhang Tingting Zhang Meng Gao Wenhui Zha Xinwu Cui Youbin Deng | 2017 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2017,3,2: | 3 |
| 6 | Homeobox B8 Targets Sterile Alpha Motif Domain-Containing Protein 9 and Drives Glioma Progression显示文摘Gliomas are the most commonly occurring tumors of the central nervous system. Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most malignant and aggressive brain cancer in adults. Further understanding of the mechanisms underlying the aggressive nature of GBM is urgently needed. Here we identified homeobox B8(HOXB8), a member of the homeobox family, as a crucial contributor to the aggressiveness of GBM. Data mining of publicly accessible RNA sequence datasets and our patient cohorts confirmed a higher expression of HOXB8 in the tumor tissue of GBM patients, and a strong positive correlation between the expression level and pathological grading of tumors and a negative correlation between the expression level and the overall survival rate. We next showed that HOXB8 promotes the proliferation and migration of glioblastoma cells and is crucial for the activation of the PI3K/AKT pathway and expression of epithelial–mesenchymal transition-related genes, possibly through direct binding to the promoter of SAMD9 (Sterile Alpha Motif Domain-Containing Protein 9) and activating its transcription. However, the more multi-baselines acquisition, the longer the time span of acquisition, which will result in serious temporal decorrelation in forested area. In this way, we expect to use as smaller number of baselines as possible to obtain high estimation accuracy in elevation direction. | 9 | Study on the Effect of Two-Step Saturated Steam Heat Treatment Process on the Properties of Reconstituted Bamboo显示文摘With the aim of utilizing reconstituted bamboo as a carbon cycle oriented material,the improvement of physical and mechanical properties has been actively studied to solve using problems The saturated steam heat treatment process has been widely used in worldwide.With the development and exploration of this technology,two step satu-rated steam heat treatment process appears in some practical production,that is,affer a period of saturated steam heat treatment at a lower temperature,the bamboo bundles are taken out and seasoned for a period of time,and then put back into the heat tank again,and heated at a higher temperature for another period of time.During the two-step saturated steam heat treatment,the physical and mechanical properties of bamboo changed.However,the mechanism of two step saturated steam heat treatment has not been thoroughly discussed.For purpose that this paper all discuss and find out the mechanism of two step saturated steam heat treatment on the change of physical and mechanical properties of reconstituted bamboo.In this work,the one and two step saturated steam heat treat-ments were carried out according to the actual production parameters,and the physical and mechanical properties of the reconstituted bamboo board made of treated bamboo bundles were analyzed,including the color change,the thickness swelling(TS),modulus of elasticity(MOE),modulus of rupture(MOR)and shear strength.The results indicate that two-step saturated steam heat treatment is better than one step.Based on the detailed study of the chemical composition,crytalinity and micro morphologial characteristics of the heated bamboo bundles,it is further revealed that during two-step saturated steam heat treatment,oxygen air is added to the reaction system between the two heat treatment processes to further catalyze the oxidation of hemicellulose and enhance the crystal-linity of cellulose,so as to improve the properties of the final products.Our work has optimized the saturated steam heat treatment process which is widely used in industry,pointing out a new idea in the experimental and theoretical basis for the development of recombinant bamboo manufacturing industry. | Xin Han Zhichao Lou Chenglong Yuan Xinwu Wu Jie Liu Fujin Weng Yanjun Li | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,12: | 1 |

| 11 | Regulation of the macrophage-related inflammatory microenvironment for atherosclerosis treatment and angiogenesis via anti-cytokine agents显示文摘Macrophages-mediated atherosclerosis(AS)is an inflammatory disease and the most common cause of ischemia.With the progress of basic and clinical research,anti-cytokine therapy has garnered considerable attention of the research community for the regulation of the inflammatory microenvironment for AS treatment.Despite of their promising potential,primary clinical trials have revealed that anti-cytokine drugs exhibit poor selectivity and thus affect other parts of the immune system,especially during long-term management.To circumvent these limitations,herein we exploited mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs)with a pore size of 15.5 nm as carriers for the anti-interleukin-1β(anti-IL-1β)delivery to be the anti-cytokine agents.In vitro mechanistic studies indicated that the MSNs@anti-IL-1βcan regulate the macrophage-related inflammatory microenvironment,promote the viability of vascular endothelial cells(vECs),and reduce proliferation and phenotypic switching of vascular smooth muscle cells(vSMCs).In vivo evaluation further revealed that the MSNs@anti-IL-1βwere preferentially accumulated in macrophages,impeding the AS progress by maintaining the endothelium integrity and inhibiting the vSMCs proliferation.Besides,MSNs@antiIL-1βinduced neovascularization and improved hindlimb ischemia regeneration.Taken together,these MSNs affording the sustained release of anti-cytokine agents may have broad implications for the clinical management of the AS,including the reduction of the AS progression and alleviation of the ischemia. | Hongji Pu Minghua Yao Zhaoyu Wu Zhijue Xu Chaoyi Cui Renhua Huang Muhammad Shafiq Weimin Li Xinwu Lu Bo Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,8: | 1 |
