1Classification of snow cover days in western China and comparison with satellite remote sensing data显示文摘The daily snow cover data from 232 meteorological stations to the west of 105°E in China for the period 1951-2004 were used to classify the snow cover and analyze decadal variations of snow cover types in western China,and comparison was made between the observational data and those retrieved from passive microwave remote sensing data(SMMR and SSM/I) in 1980-2004.The results show that stable snow-covered areas included northern Xinjiang,the Tianshan Mountains,and the eastern Tibetan Plateau with more than 60 snow cover days;no snow cover was found in the center of the southern Xinjiang Basin,the Sichuan Basin,and southern Yunnan.In addition to the above-mentioned,there were unstable snow-covered areas in western China.Furthermore,the snow cover types in northern Xinjiang,the Tianshan Mountains,the Hexi Corridor,and the vast areas from Chengdu to Kunming were unchanged.In the 1980s,the south-north dividing line between the major snow-covered area and snow-free area advanced to its most southern position.The snow cover days calculated from satellite remote sensing were generally longer than those from observational data in western China,mainly in the higher-altitude mountains,the Hexi Corridor,and the western Sichuan Plateau.LiYe He DongLiang Li Lian Chen 2012Research in Cold and Arid Regions2012,4,3:2

4Enhancement of Photo-Thermal Conversion Performance of the Nanofluids Through Spectral Complementarity between Silver and Cesium Tungstate Oxide Nanoparticles显示文摘Nanofluids with full-spectrum absorption properties are highly desirable for direct solar thermal energy conversion applications.In this work,Ag and CsW03 nanofluids,which exhibit absorption both in the visible and near-infrared(NIR)region,are integrated to obtain two>component hybrid nanofluids.The hybrid nanofluids show broad band absorption with a solar weighted absorption fraction of 99.6%,compared to 18%and 54%for the base liquid(ethylene glycol)and CsW03 nanofluids,respectively.The highest photo-thermal conversion performance for the hybrid nanofluids is obtained with Ag/CsW03 weight ratio of 3/7.The solar thermal conversion efficiency of the optimum hybrid nanofluids is 67%,10%and 15%higher than single Ag and CsW03 nanofluids.The two-component hybrid nanofluid provides an alternative for making the best use of solar energy.LIU Changqing ZHANG Liy HE Yan Yu Wei 2020Journal of Thermal Science2020,29,5:1

7Roles of a metastasis-associated molecule, RTVP-1, in cancer immunosurveillance显示文摘Objective: To elucidate distinct functions of a recently identified cancer metastasis-associated molecule, related to testes-specific, vespid, and pathogenesis protein-1 (RTVP-1) in the mammalian immune system. Methods: Immunohistochemical assays and functional analysis on the immune system were performed on RTVP-/- mice and RTVP-1+/+ mice. Protein-protein interaction (PPI) was used to predict the functions of RTVP-1. Results: Abnormal lymphocyte growth kinetics and reduced numbers of CD8+ T cells were revealed in lymph nodes of RTVP-1-/- mice. Expression of phenotypic markers of maturation in bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (DC) was impaired in RTVP-1-/- DC following antigenic stimulation in vitro and RTVP-1-/- DC failed to provide normal CD4+ T cell stimulatory activities in vivo. RTVP-1-/- mice failed to generate normal CTL or antibody responses in vivo after vaccination. In vivo tumor challenge experiments using a mouse cancer cell line demonstrated that the growth rate of subcutaneous tumors in RTVP-1-/- mice was significantly increased and CD8+ T cell infiltration significantly reduced compared to RTVP-1+/+ mice. PPI showed that RTVP-1 protein closely interacted with molecules associated with immune response and cancer metastasis.
