1Chemical characterization and sources of PM2.5 at 12-h resolution in Guiyang, China显示文摘The increasing emission of primary and gaseous precursors of secondarily formed atmospheric particulate matter due to continuing industrial development and urbanization are leading to an increased public awareness of environmental issues and human health risks in China.As part of a pilot study, 12-h integrated fine fraction particulate matter(PM_(2.5) filter samples were collected to chemically characterize and investigate the sources of ambient particulate matter in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, southwestern China. Results showed that the 12-h integrated PM_(2.5) concentrations exhibited a daytime average of 51 ± 22 lg m^(-3)(mean ± standard deviation) with a range of 17–128 lg m^(-3) and a nighttime average of55 ± 32 lg m~(^(-3)) with a range of 4–186 lg m^(-3). The 24-h integrated PM_(2.5) concentrations varied from 15 to157 lg m~(^(-3)), with a mean value of 53 ± 25 lg m^(-3), which exceeded the 24-h PM_(2.5) standard of 35 lg m^(-3) set by USEPA, but was below the standard of 75 lg m^(-3), set by China Ministry of Environmental Protection. Energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry(XRF) was applied to determine PM_(2.5) chemical element concentrations. The order of concentrations of heavy metals in PM_(2.5) were iron(Fe) [ zinc(Zn) [ manganese(Mn) [ lead(Pb) [ arsenic(As) [ chromium(Cr). The total concentration of 18 chemical elements was 13 ± 2 lg m^(-3),accounting for 25% in PM_(2.5), which is comparable to other major cities in China, but much higher than cities outside of China.Longchao Liang Na Liu Matthew S. 2Application of Indoor Natural Ventilation Simulation in Residential Space Layout显示文摘Tatural ventilation of indoor air flow and thermal comfort space plays an important role, especial y in the interior design of passive cooling factors, indoor space layout, and the location of doors, windows and other factors on the indoor natural ventilation effect has great influence. Using the method of fluid mechanics, and Airpak3.0 software, indoor natural ventilation for residential buildings was simulated, and the thermal comfort of indoor natural ventilation in a residential building in Xuzhou City was analyzed to explore the effect of indoor spatial layout, location of doors, window opening types on indoor natural ventilation. 3Quantitative evaluation model of shale oil adsorption:A case study of the first member of Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation in northern Songliao Basin,NE China显示文摘A quantitative evaluation model that integrates kerogen adsorption and clay pore adsorption of shale oil was proposed,and the evaluation charts of adsorption-swelling capacity of kerogen(Mk)and adsorbed oil capacity of clay minerals(Mc)were established,taking the 1st member of Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation in the northern Songliao Basin as an example.The model and charts were derived from swelling oil experiments performed on naturally evolved kerogens and adsorbed oil experiments on clays(separated from shale core samples).They were constructed on the basis of clarifying the control law of kerogen maturity evolution on its adsorption-swelling capacity,and considering the effect of both the clay pore surface area that occupied by adsorbed oil and formation temperature.The results are obtained in four aspects:(1)For the Qing 1 Member shale,with the increase of maturity,Mk decreases.Given Ro of 0.83%–1.65%,Mk is about 50–250 mg/g.(2)The clay in shale adsorbs asphaltene.Mc is 0.63 mg/m^(2),and about 15%of the clay pore surface is occupied by adsorbed oil.(3)In the low to medium maturity stages,the shale oil adsorption is controlled by organic matter.When Ro>1.3%,the shale oil adsorption capacity is contributed by clay pores.(4)The oil adsorption capacity evaluated on the surface at room temperature is 8%–22%(avg.15%)higher than that is held in the formations.The proposed evaluation model reveals the occurrence mechanisms of shale oils with different maturities,and provides a new insight for estimating the reserves of shale oil under formation temperature conditions.LI Jinbu WANG Min LU Shuangfang LIU Liang LI Ming ZHANG Yuchen WANG Xin ZHAO Xinbin ZHANG Jinyou ZHAO Ying 2023Petroleum Exploration and Development2023,50,5:0

5Proximity Effect of Fe-Zn Bimetallic Catalysts on CO_(2) Hydrogenation Performance显示文摘The interaction between a promoter and an active metal crucially impacts catalytic performance.Nowadays,the influence of promoter contents and species has been intensively considered.In this study,we investigate the effect of the iron(Fe)-zinc(Zn)proximity of Fe-Zn bimetallic catalysts on CO_(2)hydrogenation performance.To eliminate the size effect,Fe_(2)O_(3)and ZnO nanoparticles with uniform size are first prepared by the thermal decomposition method.By changing the loading sequence or mixing method,a series of Fe-Zn bimetallic catalysts with different Fe-Zn distances are obtained.Combined with a series of characterization techniques and catalytic performances,Fe-Zn bimetallic proximity for compositions of Fe species is discussed.Furthermore,we observe that a smaller Fe-Zn distance inhibits the reduction and carburization of the Fe species and facilitates the oxidation of carbides.Appropriate proximity of Fe and Zn(i.e.,Fe_1Zn_(1)-imp and Fe_(1)Zn_(1)-mix samples)results in a suitable ratio of the Fe_5C_(2)and Fe_(3)O_(4)phases,simultaneously promoting the reverse water-gas shift and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactions.This study provides insight into the proximity effect of bimetallic catalysts on CO_(2)hydrogenation performance.Shengkun Liu Qiao Zhao Xiaoxue Han Chongyang Wei Haoting Liang Yidan Wang Shouying Huang Xinbin Ma 2023Transactions of Tianjin University2023,29,4:0
6A molecular sieve-containing protective separator to suppress the shuttle effect of redox mediators in lithium-oxygen batteries显示文摘Lithium-oxygen(Li-O_(2))batteries have a great potential in energy storage and conversion due to their ultra-high theoretical specific energy,but their applications are hindered by sluggish redox reaction kinetics in the charge/discharge processes.Redox mediators(RMs),as soluble catalysts,are widely used to facilitate the electrochemical processes in the Li-O_(2)batteries.A drawback of RMs is the shuttle effect due to their solubility and mobility,which leads to the corrosion of a Li metal anode and the degradation of the electrochemical performance of the batteries.Herein,we synthesize a polymer-based composite protective separator containing molecular sieves.The nanopores with a diameter of 4Åin the zeolite powder(4A zeolite)are able to physically block the migration of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyloxy(TEMPO)molecules with a larger size;therefore,the shuttle effect of TEMPO is restrained.With the assistance of the zeolite molecular sieves,the cycle life of the Li-O_(2)batteries is significantly extended from~20 to 170 cycles at a current density of 250 mA·g^(-1)and a limited capacity of 500 mAh·g^(-1).Our work provides a highly effective approach to suppress the shuttle effects of RMs and boost the electrochemical performance of Li-O_(2)batteries.Xinbin Wu Huiping Wu Shundong Guan Ying Liang Kaihua Wen Huanchun Wang Xuanjun Wang Ce-Wen Nan Liangliang Li 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
