2Multimaterial additive manufacturing manipulator for fabricating magnetoelectric pressure sensors显示文摘The simultaneous placement of different types of materials including polymers,ceramics,and metals,in their desired positions could be adopted to manufacture end-use devices/apparatuses with diverse functionalities and significantly reduce the fabrication cost and time.However,existing additive manufacturing(AM)approaches can only treat one material species at a time due to their intrinsic working mechanisms.Here we develop an AM manipulator for manufacturing a wide variety of material species,including polymers,ceramics,and metals,through a multifilament transport strategy assisted by laser power.The six-jaw manipulator contains three pairs of filament delivering/cutting systems for transporting diverse materials and a beam of tunable laser as the thermal source.The whole apparatus is integrated into a robotic manipulator to create a multifreedom manufacturing platform.With this innovation,products with multiple material species and desired complex geometries can be fabricated on demand.Furthermore,we synthesize a multimaterial(polymer/ceramic/metal)printed magnetoelectric pressure sensor that can convert applied mechanical forces to electricity and maintain efficiency even after undergoing 10000 cycles of pressure/recovery.With this multimaterial filament transport and laser manufacturing strategy,our AM manipulator exhibits promising application in the advanced manufacturing of embedded electronics,sensors,soft robotics,and customizable medical devices.LIU ZhuFeng LI ZhaoQing WANG Qi WANG Yan YANG Lei NIE Xiang GENG Peng WU ZhenHua TANG SiHan YANG Lei WU HongZhi SHI YunSong CHEN Peng SU Bin ZHANG LiChao YAN ChunZe SHI YuSheng 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,11:1

4Application of self-supplying iron cathode prepared by gas sludge in Electro-Fenton显示文摘This study is a new method for recovery and utilization of waste gas sludge from iron and steel industry.Because the gas sludge contains iron and carbon elements,the gas sludge is prepared into an Electro-Fenton(E-Fenton)cathode in this study.In this paper,the gas sludge was treated at high temperature to prepare the electrode.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)were used to characterize the gas sludge to determine the valence state of iron.The linear voltammetry curve was swept for the gas sludge electrode.The degradation effect of azo dye X3B was more than 90%in 25 min.The dissolution of total Fe and Fe^2+,the formation of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)andiron hydroxyl radicals($OH)were also detected.The results show that there is an E-Fenton reaction in the process of gas sludge cathodic degradation of X3B.Lichao Zhou Yuwen Xiao Jiaxiang Liang Diyong Tang Jie Sun 2019Emerging Contaminants2019,5,1:0
5Coral records of Mid-Holocene sea-level highstands and climate responses in the northern South China Sea显示文摘High-resolution sea-level data and high-precision dating of corals in the northern South China Sea(SCS)during the Holocene provide a reference and historical background for current and future sea-level changes and a basis for scientific assessment of the evolutionary trend of coral reefs in the SCS.Although sporadic studies have been performed around Hainan Island in the northern SCS,the reconstructed sea level presents different values or is controversial because the indicative meaning of the sea-level indicators were neither quantified nor uniform criteria.Here,we determined the quantitative relationship between modern living coral and sea level by measuring the top surfaces of 27 live Porites corals from the inner reef flat along the east coast of Hainan Island and assessed the accuracy of results obtained using coral as sea-level indicators.Additionally,three in situ fossil Porites corals were analyzed based on elevation measurements,digital X-ray radiography,and U-Th dating.The survey results showed that the indicative meanings for the modern live Porites corals is(146.09±8.35)cm below the mean tide level(MTL).It suggested that their upward growth limit is constrained by the sea level,and the lowest low water is the highest level of survival for the modern live Porites corals.Based on the newly defined indicative meanings,6 new sea-level index points(SLIPs)were obtained and 19 published SLIPs were recalculated.Those SLIPs indicated a relative sea level fluctuation between(227.7±9.8)cm to(154.88±9.8)cm MTL between(5393±25)cal a BP and(3390±12)cal a BP,providing evidences of the Mid-Holocene sea-level highstand in the northern SCS.Besides that,our analysis demonstrated that different sea-level histories may be produced based on different indicative meanings or criteria.The dataset of 276 coral U-Th ages indicates that coral reef development in the northern SCS comprised the initial development,boom growth,decline,and flourishing development again.A comparison with regional records indicated that synergistic effects of climatic and environmental factors were involved in the development of coral reefs in the northern SCS.Thus,the cessation of coral reef development during the Holocene in the northern SCS was probably associated with the dry and cold climate in South China,as reflected in the synchronous weakening of the ENSO and East Asian summer monsoon induced by the reduction of the 65°N summer insolation,which forced the migration of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.Yuanfu Yue Lichao Tang Kefu Yu Rongyong Huang 2024Acta Oceanologica Sinica2024,43,2:0
6Potential roles of the rectum keystone microbiota in modulating the microbial community and growth performance in goat model显示文摘Background Ruminal microbiota in early life plays critical roles in the life-time health and productivity of ruminant animals.However,understanding of the relationship between gut microbiota and ruminant phenotypes is very limited.Here,the relationship between the rectum microbiota,their primary metabolites,and growth rate of a total of 76 young dairy goats(6-month-old)were analyzed,and then 10 goats with the highest or lowest growth rates respectively were further compared for the differences in the rectum microbiota,metabolites,and animal’s immune parameters,to investigate the potential mechanisms by which the rectum microbiota contributes to the health and growth rate.Results The analysis of Spearman correlation and microbial co-occurrence network indicated that some keystone rectum microbiota,including unclassified Prevotellaceae,Faecalibacterium and Succinivibrio,were the key modulators to shape the rectum microbiota and closely correlated with the rectum SCFA production and serum IgG,which contribute to the health and growth rate of young goats.In addition,random forest machine learning analysis suggested that six bacterial taxa in feces could be used as potential biomarkers for differentiating high or low growth rate goats,with 98.3%accuracy of prediction.Moreover,the rectum microbiota played more important roles in gut fermentation in early life(6-month-old)than in adulthood stage(19-month-old)of goats.Conclusion We concluded that the rectum microbiota was associated with the health and growth rate of young goats,and can be a focus on the design of the early-life gut microbial intervention.Dangdang Wang Guangfu Tang Lichao Zhao Mengya Wang Luyu Chen Congcong Zhao Ziqi Liang Jie Chen Yangchun Cao Junhu Yao 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,5:0
