1Differentiation of Hepatocellular Carcinoma from Hepatic Hemangioma and Focal Nodular Hyperplasia using Computed Tomographic Spectral Imaging显示文摘Background and Aims:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common primary hepatic malignancy.This study was designed to investigate the value of computed tomography(CT)spectral imaging in differentiating HCC from hepatic hemangioma(HH)and focal nodular hyperplasia(FNH).Methods:This was a retrospective study of 51 patients who underwent spectral multiple-phase CT at 40–140 keV during the arterial phase(AP)and portal venous phase(PP).Slopes of the spectral curves,iodine density,water density derived from iodine-and water-based material decomposition images,iodine uptake ratio(IUR),normalized iodine concentration,and the ratio of iodine concentration in liver lesions between AP and PP were measured or calculated.Results:As energy level decreased,the CT values of HCC(n=31),HH(n=17),and FNH(n=7)increased in both AP and PP.There were significant differences in IUR in the AP,IUR in the PP,normalized iodine concentration in the AP,slope in the AP,and slope in the PP among HCC,HH,and FNH.The CT values in AP,IUR in the AP and PP,normalized iodine concentration in the AP,slope in the AP and PP had high sensitivity and specificity in differentiating HH and HCC from FNH.Quantitative CT spectral data had higher sensitivity and specificity than conventional qualitative CT image analysis during the combined phases.Conclusions:Mean CT values at low energy(40–90 keV)and quantitative analysis of CT spectral data(IUR in the AP)could be helpful in the differentiation of HCC,HH,and FNH.Weixia Li Ruokun Li Xiangtian Zhao Xiaozhu Lin Yixing Yu Jing Zhang Kemin Chen Weimin Chai Fuhua Yan 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,3:6

13Stability of potentially toxic elements in municipal sludge biochars modified by MgCl2 and phosphate显示文摘Municipal wastewater sludge can be pyrolyzed as biochars to better use nutrients and stabilize carbon compared with other typical technologies,such as landfill and incineration.However,sludge-derived biochars might contain large amounts of potentially toxic elements(PTEs),such as Zn,Cu,Cr,Ni,Pb,and As.The stability of PTEs in biochars might be improved by higher pyrolytic temperatures,which can be further improved by different modifications.Herein,PO4-modification at 300°C and Cl-modification at 700°C were carried out,respectively,to enhance the stability of PTEs.Various leaching tests have been performed to assess the stability of PTEs in biochars,including the synthetic precipitation leaching procedure(SPLP),toxicity characteristic leaching procedure(TCLP),diethylenetriamine pentaacetate(DTPA)extraction,and in vitro simple bioaccessibility extraction test(SBET).The morphological structure,elemental mapping,and mineral formation of the pristine and modified biochars were studied by scanning electron microscopy–energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM–EDS)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).Our results suggested that the leachability,mobility,plant-availability,and bioaccessibility of most PTEs were decreased by pyrolysis,yet the total contents of PTEs were elevated,especially at 700°C.Generally,modification by phosphates and MgCl2 enhanced the stability of PTEs in biochars.Nevertheless,it should be noted that higher bioaccessibility of PTEs was observed in biochars of P-modification than Cl-modification,which is associated with the dissolution of phosphate precipitates under acidic conditions(pH<2).Additionally,Cl-modification leads to higher plant-available Zn and Cu and bioaccessible Zn compared with the unmodified biochar produced at 700°C.Qiqi Huang Siqi Chen Jinhao Lin Jingzi Beiyuan Jin Wang Juan Liu Yundang Wu Xiaolian Wu Fuhua Li Wenbing Yuan Chengrong Nie 2023Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2023,5,1:0
14Paravertebral fascial massage promotes brain development of neonatal rats via the insulin-like growth factor 1 pathway显示文摘Massage in traditional Chinese medicine can promote body and brain development of premature and normal newborn infants. In the present study, neonatal rats (1 day old) underwent paravertebral fascial massage (15 consecutive days), followed by subcutaneous injection of insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor antagonist, JB1 (9 consecutive days). Paravertebral fascial massage significantly increased insulin-like growth factor 1 expression and cell proliferation in the subventricular zone of the lateral ventricle and dentate gyrus of the hippocampus. However, JB1 inhibited this increase. 15Phase transition and piezoelectric property of (Ag,K)NbO_(3) ceramics显示文摘AgNbO_(3) is an antiferroelectric (AFE) material with double hysteresis loop. Both the antiferroelectricityand ferroelectricity can be enhanced by doping. Herein, the ferroelectricity of AgNbO_(3) ceramics wasenhanced via K-doping and the phase diagram of the (Ag_(1-x)K_(x))NbO_(3) ceramics was upgraded. In details,(Ag_(1-x)K_(x))NbO_(3) ceramics are ferrielectric (FIE) M1 phase as x=5.00-5.50 mol% and ferroelectric (FE) Ophase as x=5.75-6.00 mol% before poling, and FE O phase as x=5.00-6.00 mol% after poling at roomtemperature. 16Expert consensus on odontogenic maxillary sinusitis multi-disciplinary treatment显示文摘Odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (OMS) is a subtype of maxillary sinusitis (MS). It is actually inflammation of the maxillary sinus that secondary to adjacent infectious maxillary dental lesion. Due to the lack of unique clinical features, OMS is difficult to distinguish from other types of rhinosinusitis. Besides, the characteristic infectious pathogeny of OMS makes it is resistant to conventional therapies of rhinosinusitis. Its current diagnosis and treatment are thus facing great difficulties. The multi-disciplinary cooperation between otolaryngologists and dentists is absolutely urgent to settle these questions and to acquire standardized diagnostic and treatment regimen for OMS. However, this disease has actually received little attention and has been underrepresented by relatively low publication volume and quality. Based on systematically reviewed literature and practical experiences of expert members, our consensus focuses on characteristics, symptoms, classification and diagnosis of OMS, and further put forward multidisciplinary treatment decisions for OMS, as well as the common treatment complications and relative managements.
