| 1 | A review of ecological mechanisms for management practices of protective forests显示文摘A protective forest,including shelterbelt,windbreak,and shelter forest as its synonyms,is characterized by the protective functions of various forest types distributed or planted on ecologically fragile areas or nearby the objects that need to be protected using the ecological effects of forests.Ecological mechanisms for management practices of protective forests is one of the disciplinary orientations in forest ecology and management.Most protective forest studies are dependent on forestry eco-engineering,such as the Great Plains Shelterbelt Project in the United States,the Great Plan for the Transformation of Nature in the Soviet Union,and the Three-North Afforestation Program in China.The development of sustainable management of protective forests has been given increasing attention by governments,scientists,and media due to their impacts on environment conservation and global change.We introduce forestry ecoengineering and provide a review of their main ecological mechanisms for management practices of protective forests.Ecological mechanisms for management systems currently applied are emphasized,i.e.,the theory of protection maturity and phase-directional management;the relationship between structure and protective functions and structural optimization measures;and,the decline mechanism and ecological restoration strategies.In addition,several unresolved problems in management practices of protective forests are discussed as well as the prospects for ecological mechanisms for management practices of protective forests in the future,which include:(1)theories and technologies for management practices of protective forests at the landscape or regional scale;(2)the decline mechanisms and corresponding ecological restoration approaches across multiple scales;and,(3)the comprehensive assessment of forestry eco-engineering at large-scales based on ecosystem principles. | Jiaojun Zhu Lining Song Yu Lei | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,2: | 3 |
| 2 | Lanthanide-doped heterostructured nanocomposites toward advanced optical anti-counterfeiting and information storage显示文摘The continuously growing importance of information storage,transmission,and authentication impose many new demands and challenges for modern nano-photonic materials and information storage technologies,both in security and storage capacity.Recently,luminescent lanthanide-doped nanomaterials have drawn much attention in this field because of their photostability,multimodal/multicolor/narrowband emissions,and long luminescence lifetime.Here,we report a multimodal nanocomposite composed of lanthanide-doped upconverting nanoparticle and EuSe semiconductor,which was constructed by utilizing a cation exchange strategy.The nanocomposite can emit blue and white light under 365 and 394 nm excitation,respectively.Meanwhile,the nanocomposites show different colors under 980 nm laser excitation when the content of Tb3+ions is changed in the upconversion nanoparticles.Moreover,the time-gating technology is used to filter the upconversion emission of a long lifetime from Tb3+or Eu3+,and the possibilities for modulating the emission color of the nanocomposites are further expanded.Based on the advantage of multiple tunable luminescence,the nanocomposites are designed as optical modules to load optical information.This work enables multi-dimensional storage of information and provides new insights into the design and fabrication of next-generation storage materials. | Yao Xie Yapai Song Guotao Sun Pengfei Hu Artur Bednarkiewicz Lining Sun | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,6: | 3 |
| 3 | Lanthanide complexes-functionalized ordered mesoporous TiO_2:Multicolor emission(visible and near-infrared luminescence) based on visible-light sensitization显示文摘Recently,much attention has been paid to the lanthanide luminescent materials based on the visiblelight sensitization for their potential applications in the fields of bio-imaging and optical devices.In this work,the lanthanide complexes have been covalently bonded to the ordered mesoporous titania(OMT) matrix,and the resulting titania-based hybrid ordered mesoporous materials(named as LnDBOMT,Ln = Eu,Sm,Yb,Nd) were characterized by using Fourier-transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy,small-angle X-ray powder diffraction(SAXD),N_2 adsorption-desorption isotherms,transmission electron microscopy(TEM),fluorescence spectroscopy,and thermogravimetric analysis.Generally,exciting with visible light is advantageous over UV excitation.Of importance here is that,under excitation with visible light,the LnDB-OMT all show characteristic visible(Eu^(3+),Sm^(3+)) as well as nearinfrared(Sm^(3+),Yb^(3+),Nd^(3+)) luminescence of the corresponding Ln^(3+) ions(multicolor emission covered from 500 to 1400 nm spectral region),which is attributed to the energy transfer from the ligands to the Ln^(3+) ions via an antenna effect. | Zhijuan Wang Song Dang Shu'na Zhao Lining Sun | 2018 | Journal of Rare Earths2018,36,9: | 1 |

| 8 | Dietary Exposure to Benzyl Butyl Phthalate in China显示文摘Objective Benzyl butyl phthalate(BBP) is a plasticizer used in food contact materials. Dietary exposure to BBP might lead to reproduction and developmental damages to human. The present paper was aimed to assess the health risk of BBP dietary exposure in Chinese population. Methods The BBP contents were detected in 7409 food samples from 25 food categories by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry operated in selected ion monitoring(SIM) mode. The dietary exposures of BBP in different age and sex groups were estimated by combining the content data with food consumption data derived from 2002 China National Nutrient and Health Survey, and evaluated according to the tolerable daily intake(TDI) of BBP established by European Food safety Agency. Results It was found that BBP was undetectable in most samples and the highest level was 1.69 mg/kg detected in a vegetable oil sample. The average dietary exposure of BBP in people aged ≥2 years was 1.03 μg/kg bw per day and the highest average exposure was found in 2-6 years old children(1.98 μg/kg bw per day). The BBP exposure in 7-12 months old children excessed 10% of tolerable daily intake(TDI) in worst scenario. | 10 | Conservation and characterization of unique porcine interstitial telomeric sequences显示文摘Telomeres are composed of TTAGGG repeats and located at the ends of chromosomes. Telomeres protect chromosomes from instability in mammals, including mice and humans. Repetitive TTAGGG sequences are also found at intrachromosomal sites, where they are named as interstitial telomeric sequences (ITSs). Aberrant ITSs are implicated in chromosomal instability and found in cancer cells. Interestingly, in pigs, vertebrate telomere sequences TTAGGG (vITSs) are also localized at the centromeric region of chromosome 6, in addition to the end of all chromosomes. Surprisingly, we found that botanic telomere sequences, TTTAGGG (bITSs), also localize with vITSs at the centromeric regions of pig chromosome 6 using telomere fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and by comparisons between several species. Furthermore, the average lengths of vITSs are highly correlated with those of the terminal telomeres (TTS). Also, pig ITSs show a high incidence of telomere doublets, suggesting that pig ITSs might be unstable and dynamic. Together, our results show that pig cells maintain the conserved telomere sequences that are found at the ITSs from of plants and other vertebrates. | 11 | Forms and functions of inorganic carbon in the Jiaozhou Bay sediments显示文摘Inorganic carbon forms and their influencing factors,mutual transformation and contribution to carbon cycling in the Jiaozhou Bay sediments were discussed.The results show that inorganic carbon in sediments could be divided into five forms:NaCl form,NH3·H2O form,NaOH form,NH2OH·HCl form and HCl form.Thereinto,NH2OH·HCl form and HCl form account for more than 70% of total inorganic carbon.There was close relationship among every form of inorganic carbon and their correlativity was clearly different with different sedimentary environment except the similar strong positive correlation among NH2OH·HCl form,HCl form and total inorganic carbon in all regions of the Jiaozhou Bay.All forms of inorganic carbon were influenced by organic carbon,pH,Eh,Es,nitrogen and phosphorus in sediments,but their influence had different characteristics in different regions.Every form of inorganic carbon transformed into each other continuously during early diagenesis of sediments and the common phenomenon was that NaCl form,NH3·H2O form,NaOH form and NH2OH·HCl form might transform into steady HCl form.NaCl form,NH3·H2O form,NaOH form and NH2OH·HCl form could participate in carbon recycle and they are potential carbon source;HCl form may be buried for a long time in sediments,and it may be one of the final resting places of atmospheric CO2.Inorganic carbon which entered into sediments was about 4.98×1010 g in the Jiaozhou Bay every year,in which about 1.47×1010 g of inorganic carbon might be buried for a long time and about 3.51×1010 g of inorganic carbon might return into seawater and take part in carbon recycling. | LI Xuegang SONG Jinming YUAN Huamao LINing | 2009 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2009,28,6: | 1 |

| 16 | Soxllb regulates the migration and fate determination of Müller glia-derived progenitors during retina regeneration in zebrafish显示文摘The transcription factor Sox11 plays important roles in retinal neurogenesis during vertebrate eye development.However,its function in retina regeneration remains elusive.Here we report that Sox11 b,a zebrafish Sox11 homolog,regulates the migration and fate determination of Müller glia-derived progenitors(MGPCs)in an adult zebrafish model of mechanical retinal injury.Following a stab injury,the expression of Sox11 b was induced in proliferating MGPCs in the retina.Sox11 b knockdown did not affect MGPC formation at 4 days post-injury,although the nuclear morphology and subsequent radial migration of MGPCs were alte red.At 7 days post-injury,Sox11 b knockdown res ulted in an increased proportion of MGPCs in the inner retina and a decreased propo rtion of MGPCs in the outer nuclear layer,compared with controls.Furthermore,Sox11 b knockdown led to reduced photoreceptor regeneration,while it increased the numbe rs of newborn amacrines and retinal ganglion cells.Finally,quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis revealed that Sox11 b regulated the expression of Notch signaling components in the retina,and Notch inhibition partially recapitulated the Sox11 b knockdown phenotype,indicating that Notch signaling functions downstream of Sox11 b.Our findings imply that Sox11 b plays key roles in MGPC migration and fate determination during retina regeneration in zebrafish,which may have critical im plications for future explorations of retinal repair in mammals. | Kaida Song Zihao Lin Lining Cao Bowen Lu Yuxi Chen Shuqiang Zhang Jianfeng Lu Hui Xu | 2023 | Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,2: | 0 |
| 17 | A highly hydrothermal stable copper-based catalyst for catalytic wet air oxidation of m-cresol in coal chemical wastewater显示文摘Catalytic wet air oxidation(CWAO) can degrade some refractory pollutants at a low cost to improve the biodegradability of wastewater. However, in the presence of high temperature and high pressure and strong oxidizing free radicals, the stability of catalysts is often insufficient, which has become a bottleneck in the application of CWAO. In this paper, a copper-based catalyst with excellent hydrothermal stability was designed and prepared. TiO_(2) with excellent stability was used as the carrier to ensure the longterm anchoring of copper and reduce the leaching of the catalyst. The one pot sol–gel method was used to ensure the super dispersion and uniform distribution of copper nanoparticles on the carrier, so as to ensure that more active centers could be retained in a longer period. Experiments show that the catalyst prepared by this method has good stability and catalytic activity, and the catalytic effect is not significantly reduced after 10 cycles of use. The oxidation degradation experiment of m-cresol with the strongest biological toxicity and the most difficult to degrade in coal chemical wastewater was carried out with this catalyst. The results showed that under the conditions of 140℃, 2 MPa and 2 h, m-cresol with a concentration of up to 1000 mg·L^(-1) could be completely degraded, and the COD removal rate could reach 79.15%. The biological toxicity of wastewater was significantly reduced.
