5Sensitive semi-quantitative detection of respiratory syncytial virus by dark-field light scattering imaging of the infected host cells显示文摘A novel sensitive semi-quantitative virus detection technique was developed using the respiratory syncytial virus(RSV) as an example, through dark-field light scattering imaging of the surface state of the virusinvaded host cells. In this method, anti-RSV-antibody modified gold nanoparticles(Au NPs) could bind with the invading virus on the cell membrane of the infected host cells through the specific antibody-antigen binding. 7Mining and utilization of salinity tolerant legumes in tropical coastal agroecosystems: An overview显示文摘Coastal saline soils are increasing year by year caused by climate change and human activities.Most of the coastal saline soils are idle due to their high salinity level and few crops can grow normally.Salinity tolerant legumes are naturally tolerant to salt,which can ecologically cover the coastal saline soil,enhance soil fertility by symbiotic nitrogen fixation and increase the smallholder farmers’benefits in terms of forage,green manure,food or medicine.However,few reports are available for the systematic evaluation of salinity tolerant legumes.This review summarizes and evaluates currently available salinity tolerant legume species that could potentially be used and discusses their potential for integration into smallholder mixed coastal systems of the Asia-Pacific region.Fourty four salinity tolerant legumes were summarized,six of them showed a high level of salinity tolerance,17 of them showed a moderate level of salinity tolerance and 21 of them showed potential salinity tolerance but need to be further studied.Many gaps such as combined tolerance evaluation,nitrogen fixation efficiency,animal feeding experiments and salinity tolerant rhizobia screening/inoculants exist.Case studies demonstrate legumes could be used to reclaim coastal saline soils,but commitment and support from government and public services are necessary to address both seed system and extension needs,through the provision of adequate incentives,policies and development efforts.Yiming Liu Mary Atieno Juan Andres Cardoso Hubiao Yang Bin Xu Rongshu Dong Linling Yan Chunqiong Huang Hengfu Huan Daogeng Yu Sabine Douxchamps Guodao Liu 2022Grass Research2022,2,1:0
8A Novel Method for the Quantitative Detection of Sericin Content in Silk Fiber Based on the Ratio of Aspartate to Alanine显示文摘The development of a method for the quantitative determination of the sericin content ratio(SCR)is urgently needed for silk refining and the purification of silk fibroin for biomedical applications.In this work,a series of sericin/fibroin mixed samples with known SCRs were prepared by mixing initial samples of extracted sericin and fibroin from Bombyx mori silk.Significant differences were found in the contents of characteristic hydrophilic amino acids abundant in sericin and hydrophobic amino acids abundant in fibroin,and several linear relation-ships of SCR associated with the content ratios of Ser/Ala,Asp/Ala,Lys/Ala,Asp/Gly and Ser/Gly were estab-lished by amino acid analysis.Subsequently,the linear equation expressing SCR(%)as a function of the Asp to Ala content ratio X(%)was established as SCR=2.5634X−12.5587(R 2=0.9972).The results indicated that the SCR of degummed silks calculated by the equation is more objective and effective than the results obtained by the traditional weight loss method.Our study provides a novel approach for the sensitive and quantitative detection of the sericin content within the detection limit in unknown silks,which can contribute to quality control in the silk production process.Yanfei Feng Jiaming Lin Longxing Niu Peng Pan Xueping Liu Linling Huang Ying Guo Mingzhong Li 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,1:0

10Iterative multiuser detection for high spectral efficiency reverse-link of multibeam satellite via expectation propagation显示文摘Multibeam satellite communications employing full frequency reuse have the potential to increase spectral efficiency.However,they suffer from severe inter-beam interference.An expectation propagation based message passing algorithm is proposed for decoding multi-user transmissions in the reverse link of multi-beam satellite communications with full frequency reuse.Compared with an iterative MMSE(Minimum Mean Square Error)interference cancellation algorithm,the proposed algorithm reduces the cubic complexity to square complexity in the number of interfering beams.Numerical results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the iterative MMSE algorithm slightly in terms of bit error rate when the energy per bit to noise power spectral density ratio is low.The performance of both algorithms is the same for other cases.LIN Xincong WU Sheng NI Zuyao KUANG Linling HUANG Defeng SUN Baosheng 2016Journal of Communications and Information Networks2016,1,3:0
11Effect of Several Common Processing Methods on Content Changes of Resistant Starch and Main Nutrients in ‘Luotian Chestnut’显示文摘Using‘Luotian chestnut'as the raw material,the content changes of resistant starch and main nutrients in the processed fruit were studied after taken common processing of high-temperature steaming of canned food,sand-mixed frying and cooking without shells,with the aim to find out the effects of different processing methods on the content changes of nutrients in chestnuts. The result showed that there were significant differences in the resistant starch contents by different processing methods. After processing,the retention degree of resistant starch was the lowest using the methods of sand-mixed frying,of 42. 42%,while the highest was found in canned chestnut products,of 93. 16%. Among the main nutrients,adding water and sugar would reduce content of resistant starch,while increasing the protein content would promote the retention of resistant starch retention. 12Key Points of Breeding and Cultivation Techniques of Wushan Crisp Plum,a New Cultivar of Green Crisp Plum显示文摘Wushan crisp plum is a new cultivar of green crisp plum with dignified fruit shape,crisp and tender flesh,pit separability and sweet taste.It is bred from natural bud mutant of Jiang'an Dabaili,a local green crisp plum cultivar by Wushan County Fruit Industry Development Center,Southwest University and Chongqing Agricultural Technology Extension Station.Wushan crisp plum has won the gold award in the National High-quality Plum and Apricot Appraise and Elect and the tile of'the king of fruit'in the'Three-Gorge Cup'High-quality Crisp Plum Appraise and Elect.In the southwestern region of China,the planting area of Wushan crisp plum has been extended to 33000 ha.The cultivar has strong robust and fast growth.In the area along the Yangtze River in the Three Gorges Reservoir area of Chongqing,it ripens from early to middle July.The fruit is ovoid and of medium size,with average longitudinal diameter of 3.3 cm,average horizontal diameter of 4.0 cm,average single fruit mass of 37.2 g,carpopodium length of 1.5 cm,and carpopodium diameter of 0.1 cm.The top of the fruit is slightly concave.The peel is green to green-yellow in background color and medium in thickness,with obvious fruit dots and thick white fruit wax.The flesh is light yellow,compact,short in fiber length,juicy,crisp,tender,pure and sweet,with soluble solids content of 12%-15%,titratable acid content of 0.43%-0.72%and vitamin C content of 6.12-8.99 mg/100 g.The pit is small,separable,and oblate.The percentage of edible flesh is up to 94.80%-96.88%.There is no obvious pre-harvest cracking and intra-fruit pectin.The cultivar is mid-ripening and high in yield.In the firm ripe stage,the flesh is crunchy;and after entering the soft ripe stage,the flesh becomes powdery,and the hardness decreases.At room temperature,the fruit is not resistant to storage and transportation.Wushan crisp plum is tolerant to the climate with high temperature,high humidity and less sunshine,with good adaptability.It is suitable for promoting in the upper reaches of Yangtze River within 180-1000 m elevation.Wei XIONG Ming HUANG Ming ZENG Linling KOU Wenbin KONG Jun TANG Fang XIANG Tao HE 2020Asian Agricultural Research2020,12,7:0
